Came across a tiktok and was excited to try this place because the owners are from Mexico City. These are the most authentic tacos we have had in the DMV. The menu had many things to choose from but we kept our order simple. We had carne asada and al pastor tacos. Their tortillas are delicious as was the carne asada. We felt the al pastor didn’t measure up but truthfully American pork is the issue and there’s no getting around that but if you’re used to American pork, you will probably enjoy them. We tried all the salsas and all were authentic yummy. Their house made chips were really good too. Prices are very reasonable for the quality of the food. Service was excellent and their bar was well stocked though I did not order a drink since I was driving. We will definitely be back to try their torta de chilaquiles and enchiladas suizas. If you have ever had street food in CDMX you will definitely appreciate this place. PS anyone saying the food is not authentic has never been to Mexico

I really don’t like leaving bad reviews, but our experience at Taqueria Picoso was genuinely awful. The food was not authentic at all. We ordered the enchiladas suizas and tacos de bistec both were downright disgusting. The flavors were bland, the meat was dry, and nothing tasted fresh. My husband, who will normally eat anything without complaint, couldn’t even finish his food. That says a lot. To make matters worse, the customer service was just as disappointing. The person taking our order was rude, rushed us (even though there was no line), and gave me attitude when I asked to use the handwashing station — complete with a dirty look like I was annoying her. Between the terrible food and unwelcoming staff, we left feeling completely let down. We had high hopes, but I honestly wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone looking for real, good Mexican food or decent service. Please go to a local AUTHENTIC taqueria you will not be disappointed.

Google
As a Mexican American who’s spent time living and eating my way through CDMX, I can confidently say this is the most authentic Mexican taqueria in the entire DMV. Yes, I drove from DC just to try it, and it was absolutely worth it. Every bite from my al pastor (super authentic), carnitas and sips from my horchata, transported me back to Mexico City. This place isn’t just good, it’s legit.

Incredible Mexican food, drinks and sides. Great atmosphere and service. Highly recommend giving it a try, especially during Happy Hour.

Google
food was ok; employees refused to provide larger to go containers for salsa bar items like radish, limes, onions etc. had to use a water cup. too loud inside response to owner: ‘too small’ is not advanced english - there wasn’t a language barrier; your employees were just not willing to help. you admit to refusing extra packaging, albeit rarely

Google
Update: Jose is a fantastic bartender and we enjoyed his Paloma and margaritas, quick and friendly service. Delicious food as always, cant wait to be back! I love the location of this restaurant, food is phenomenal, decor and ambiance is very nice. Probably one of my new favorite Mexican food spots. The bartender seemed a bit distracted and un-knowledgeable which is a shame because the bar looked very expansive with high quality tequilas. We would have had a blast sampling cocktails and spirits here but since the bartender seemed uncomfortable we decided to leave. Next time maybe we will have better service! Either way we will be back to sample the whole menu!

Google
Extremely authentic!!! Best food from my home town in Mexico. My go to spot 10/10 try torta de chilaquiles. Everything on menu is spot on.

Google
Setting: Ample space with great Spanish music with windows all around. Service: Nice guy and patient. It was our first time and they have a large menu with lots of variety. Food: They do not skimp on portions or amount of meat which is great because pricing is reasonable for the area. The meat (we got steak, chicken, and fish) was not as flavorful as other Spanish places. The salsas were basic and lacked variety like a creamy avocado or simple salsa. We still want to return and try other items.

Yelp
Love this taco place. I use inkind app to pay with it to get some deals. Probably one of the best taco places in Fallschurch.

Yelp
First, my food took much longer than expected. It wasn't very crowded and I only ordered two carne asada tacos. I ordered at 11:39 AM and got my food at 12:01. I was very disappointed by this since it wasn't busy. That makes me wonder how bad things are or could get on a busy day. The chips and guacamole are delicious! I recommend them to everyone. I need to mention that there is a seasoning on the chips. I loved it but it may not be for everyone. I got the carne asada tacos and would order them again. I was hesitant to order the tacos birrias but I will likely try it next time since I'm a fan of that style. The fish taco looked tasty. It's the first I've seen where the fish wasn't separated and it was more of a breaded one piece. The jalapeños on top could definitely be a plus for those that like picante! I know that's too much for me to handle. I feel like this taco would be delicious with a sauce of your liking to pour on top. The ambiance is great. The outdoor seating area is nice and comfortable. I like that it has normal height seatings and a standing bar height table too. I would try this place again but will ensure not to come when I'm very hungry or during a busy time.

Yelp
Probably would truly rate it as a 2.5, and feel bad rounding down, so we'll give it a 3. What was good, the Al pastor meat in the torta was fire. The torta was loaded with meat, and the overall flavor of the meat, was spot on. My only complaint here, is the torta has no beans, , tomato / pico, etc. It's literally just the meat, which was delicious. The carne asada tacos were average, not bad, but not great. The horchata and Jamaica come in very small bottles. For the price of the drinks, you'd expect a large drink. The horchata, if you like really milky horchata, then this is the type for you. The Jamaica was good, not our favorite, but good. I would also say that the overall price of everything here is on the pricier end for one taco. The torta price I feel like is a good price, but again, where's the other items a torta should have with it?!

Yelp
Ambiance: super cute, each time I've been there's been a place to sit, and the parking outside is easy, thankfully! Service: good and fast, I also appreciate that they are knowledgeable about gluten free options :) Food: very good!! My husband and I both noted that it's one of the better Mexican food spots in the area and enjoy their tacos. It's getting hard to rate Mexican food spots because we try so many - and although this place is very good, I have also had slightly better. I'd still say 100% give this place a try and see how it rates for you!

Yelp
Stopped in for take out dinner for two. In order of my favorites: fish taco, torta with al pastor, Baja shrimp taco, Al pastor taco and last was the lamb taquitos. The lamb taquitos were pricy and not good. For almost the same price you can get three tacos...get the tacos. The inside bar and dining room are large and the outside patio is large and welcoming. A great spot for groups. Uninspired decor but the flavors in the food make up for it. Delicious. Enjoy!

Yelp
Stopped here for happy hour. Classic margarita not stored, all alcohol at the bottom. Chicken Tinga taco, water dripping. Not as tasty as before. Brisket taco, swimming in oil. Had to use about 4 napkins to pat the oil out, tasted a bit strange. Ive eaten here so many times. It used to be so good. The topping bar is awesome. Hopefully things will improve.

Yelp
Absolutely terrible phone etiquette. I called and someone actually picked up--but didn't say a single word. Just silence. Then they hung up on me. I thought maybe it was a mistake, so I tried calling back--and this time, the phone didn't even ring. If this is how you treat people just trying to get in touch, I can only imagine how poorly things are run in person. Completely unprofessional and incredibly frustrating. Do better.

Yelp
The previous review saying these are the best tacos in Alexandria is Spot On! I cannot count how many times I've come here, and I always get the same thing now. The guac and chips is incredible with a huge portion and the VEGAN CHORIZO TACOS.... Dead! I always get three and never tire of the flavor. We always sit at the bar, and Jose always gives us the absolute best service. Come for happy hour and enjoy some discounted food and margaritas as well! And don't forget the fresh salsa, onions, limes, and cilantro bar!

Yelp
Great service. Great food. Amazing atmosphere! I love all the items on the menu that are very authentic and prepared with care. My favorite are the chicken wings, yes, they make some very tasty wings that have you coming back for more. The frijoles charros is also one of my favorites. Cooked to perfection and taste. Tacos are very filled with protein and toppings and the salsa bar gives you an option to add more to your tacos. Staff is personable and very happy while working. You can feel their vibe even while enjoying your food. Great selection of margaritas and drinks. Best of all? I can walk to the place!

Yelp
The drinks are great, the bartender ( Shristi ). Super friendly, she can make , you any drink you like , her happy hour drinks are great too

Yelp
It was pretty decent. They have a good happy hour. It wasn't too many people at the bar. However, the bar is small. I did not enjoy the Beria taco and the more flavor. The consume may lacked salt. But I would go back to try some of the other tacos. The Paloma I have was very good.

Yelp
Not a bad experience but I have mixed experiences with this place. It's in a little strip mall with free parking so that's a positive. Like other fast food places you drop an order with the cashier, who is very friendly. The setting is what you would expect, and comfortable tables inside and out. The food is the hard one. We all got the Sonoran hot dogs, which is what we wanted to try, and horchata. The hot dogs and horchata were great. It's the other dishes that left me less than impressed. I got a Al pastor taco, which I found dry and lacking flavor. My wife got a tamal de cochinita, which also was not very good. My son got a taco nopales, which was pretty decent. So it's worth a try but I would think about what you get.

Yelp
Taqueria Picoso is a must-visit for taco lovers! The tacos here are packed with flavor and generous portions. I had the vegetarian taco, which was fantastic--loaded with peppers and perfectly seasoned. The chicken taco was also a winner, with lots of tender, flavorful chicken in every bite. One of the best parts of the experience was the salsa bar, offering a variety of options with different spice levels, so you can customize your tacos exactly how you like. Plus, the pickled vegetables are a great touch and available in unlimited amounts--perfect for topping off your tacos or munching on with some chips. The chips and tortillas are made in house and super fresh, I wanted to eat all the chips myself! The staff is super friendly, and the place has a chill vibe with a few TVs if you want to catch the game. There's plenty of seating at tables, so it's a great spot to hang out with friends. They offer a nice variety of tacos and other Mexican dishes, all with the perfect balance of spices.

Yelp
Arrived here on Sunday around 3pm. This place is located in a strip mall so parking was plentiful; we actually got a spot right in front of the store. We walked into an average size establishment that was extremely clean, well lit from natural sunlight and lively although it wasn't overly crowded inside. There was a football and soccer game on the TV's at the bar and the bar patrons were definitely into them. We were greeted with a very warm welcome and were given a choice of table, then menus and was then explained the ordering process which takes place at the counter. We go over the menu, and my husband goes up to place our order. When he places my drink order, the young woman tells him that ordering drinks (alcoholic anyway) is done separately w/the bartender but that she would let her know what we wanted (he also wanted a different drink for himself but the machine wasn't working to make it so he landed on a hibiscus drink). That process seems strange to me because first, why does the patron have to order separately at the bar, and second why does the bartender then have to bring a tab to the customers in the main dining room and still have to manage everyone at the bar. Seems so unnecessary and even archaic to a degree. But that is what happened. The bartender brought my drink over (which was phenomenal by the way) asked me if I wanted to keep an open tab or close out, then a bit later she brought the check over to the table. For anyone wondering, I ordered a strawberry basil margarita. Ok..onto the food. Overall, it was good. Not mind blowing, not inedible..just...okay. The tacos come with a variety of proteins and for the most part, you get your toppings and sauces from a toppings bar..I liked that concept. We ordered birria, beef tongue, shrimp, shredded lamb and carne asada tacos. The proteins were plentiful in each taco, but they individually lacked flavor although they were all extremely tender. It was my first time having beef tongue and it was very tender and had an appropriate amount of fat. But if not for the toppings, these tacos would not be anything special to talk about. Again..they had little to no flavor at all. They all also come on a corn tortilla which isn't a con necessarily, but we have been to places that give you an option (corn or flour) and while I recognize that isn't a common thing at most restaurants, we have kinda grown to expect it..that's just a personal thing though lol. Corn tortillas just aren't our preference but we will eat them. Maybe we should've asked. The two tacos that we were dissatisfied with overall were the shrimp tacos and the birria. The shrimp come with a slaw and as someone who loves tangy and fermented foods and even drinks, this slaw was so slimy and tangy that it overpowered the entire thing. I don't even remember how the shrimp tasted..just the slaw. It was the one taco that I looked forward to eating the most and it was my least favorite taco because of that slaw. The slaw had no texture, no crunch-which signals to me that it was overdressed and sitting too long (possibly pulled from the refrigerator because it didn't appear nor taste freshly made) before it was added to that taco. And honestly outside of vinegar, I'm not sure what else was used to dress the slaw. I tasted nothing but vinegar. The consume for the Birria was dismal at best. No flavor, no viscosity, no bits of onion, nor cilantro, nor meat was anywhere in sight. I judge new taco spots by their Birria and this for us was such a fail. All in all the customer service was great and the establishment was very clean. The food left a lot to be desired but the drinks (both alcoholic and non alcoholic) were extremely tasty, and I'm on the fence as to whether or not I would return. Part of me is thinking maybe it was a one off; we were coming out of a snow storm this week, and maybe that threw things off for the staff in some way. Yet with so many great taco spots in this area and our own (we were an hr away from home), we just wouldn't think of returning here again. The mood for tacos hits us all the time tho so who knows...maybe we could return in the spring or summer to see if our experience would be better.

Yelp
Perfect team and delicious food and drinks. We just want the strawberry frozen margarita back!!

Yelp
Food was a little on the pricey said for basically take out. Over $120 for a family of 4 with one appetizer the nachos (which were delicious). However, the meat was pretty dried out on the pork tacos and only seasoned a bit on the chicken ones.

Chas L.

Yelp
I had to come back to share that this is worst guacamole I've ever had! I've had guac all over the world...even store bought guac is better than this. I didn't know you could mess up or butcher guacamole but it was basically barely ripe or perhaps teetering spoiled avocados and chunky tomatoes. Terrible, turned my stomach.

Yelp
Some of the best and most varied tacos I have had in quite some time. Reasonable price; knowledgeable, courteous, and prompt service; good ambiance; and low-key location make this a choice venue for your next taco outing.

Yelp
Taqueria Picoso is located in a small shopping plaza in Alexandria. Think street inspired Mexican food. The restaurant was pretty busy for a Friday night. Lots of takeout orders but later on discovered that it was the start of restaurant week. The bartenders were friendly and helpful. Not usually a classic margarita fan, but the classic was made to perfection. The fish taco had the perfect amount of texture and crispiness. The tacos are priced decently so you can get a few or a lot.

Yelp
came for the ladies night $3.50 margs but stayed for the food! the tacos were very yum and seemed authentic to me, and I am a sucker for a good fish taco with beans and rice. Def reccomend!

Yelp
I stopped in to grab something quick and my fish tacos were really delicious. I prefer grilled fish but tbey prepare their cod fried. I opted to have a side of guacamole and agua Fresca. This was the perfect bite and was well prepared. The cost compared to the value was on point. Next time I come in, I will dine in for sure.

Yelp
I stopped by for lunch and was surprised that today they are celebrating their 4th anniversary. They have many $4 specials and I ordered a $4 margarita that was very good for a $4 margarita while reading the menu. The friendly bartender told me about the anniversary specials, including a buy one, get one free tacos al pastor. Golden-brown edges of stacked, vertically rotating pork were thinly sliced onto soft corn tortillas and topped with a slice of pineapple. I added some sliced radishes, cilantro, and salsa verde from their fixings bar. The flavors were amazing. The pork was tender and juicy with a rich flavor that was complimented by the sweetness of the pineapple. The spice of the salsa and crunch of the radishes made this the best $4 lunch I've had in ages! Great service, tacos, and margaritas. I definitely recommend this restaurant!

Kam C.

Yelp
This little place is delicious! The guacamole is very fresh and tasty and all the menu prices are just right for the quality and flavor you receive. I enjoyed my carne asada and fried fish tacos! Love the salsa bar option as well for those who enjoy cilantro and lots of raw onion! The outdoor seating available was lovely for a beautiful day. I was so hungry I didn't manage to get any photos this dinner.

Yelp
Normally, I rarely give five stars, but I feel compelled to reiterate that this place is a tucked away gem and they've been consistently very, very good since they opened four years ago. That they survived COVID is a testament to their dedication to serving quality, delicious food and their dedicated customers.

Yelp
I came here on a Tuesday for tacos! The lines were not too long bc I came before the dinner rush. There is plenty of parking in the lot and this is located right next to an international grocery store. The food menu here is pretty simple. They also have a bar that has happy hour deals like $6 marg. I ended up ordering El pastor, carnitas, birria tacos, pulled pork, and the elote. The check in offer for Yelp is a free fountain drink. The el pastor meat was really salty but everything else was fine. The tacos were good but not something that really really stood out for me. Once you order, they'll give you a number which you put on a table you pick. They will bring your order to you. There is a hand washing station as well as a salad bar. The service here was great and I'll come back.

Yelp
First time there. Great service; very relaxed atmosphere. Food was delicious! Had the steak nachos...huge; so definitely a share dish--but so good. Couldn't finish them all. Will be back!!

Yelp
I mistakenly didn't read the reviews before coming. Don't be like me. It's like a California tortilla that serves alcohol. Premixed Margaritas terrible! I don't know if the bartender/waiter was new but every request had to be ran through his coworker or the manager. They had a nice selection of tequila so I do not understand why the opt for premixed. There's an aftertaste. Possibly from the sour mix they use. After tasting the premixed margarita I asked to change my beverage. He (the bartender) said "sorry no". Then consulted the coworker who told him go ahead but my friend also wanted to send hers back and I guess that was problematic. Then I asked for a wine in it's place, this is when they had to talk to the manager. The manager said it was fine but they would not charge me the price of happy hour wine instead the price of the margarita. So when I clarified that I basically needed to pay for the nasty margarita even though I would be drinking a wine (cheaper price) they didn't understand what I was asking. When I finally agreed, they first poured the wine in a small shot glass for tasting, I assume they didn't want to risk me not liking it. That is now how you serve wine to taste. They did the same thing for my friend's rose since she sent back her margarita as well. My chips were over cooked. Guac was bland. I tried to get half steak and half chicken quesadillas, he said I couldn't. I ended up ordering two separate quesadillas. They fell apart. I had to just eat the interior with the chips. Food still lacked flavor. Finally, upon asking for separate checks sitting at the bar the bartender said he couldn't do it. I'm convinced he was new because he saw my frustration and asked the coworker who was able to provide separate checks. I'll never go back.

Yelp
The layout of the joint is a bit disorganized but makes do with the odd shaped interior. The outdoor eating was the superior place to bring your food and they have nice ambient lighting out there when it gets dark. What I got: Suadero taco - 3* it was pretty dry and the meat wasn't that impressive. I didn't realize there was a salsa bar until halfway through my taco and toppings definitely improved the rest of this meal. Guacamole and chips - 2* I was rather surprised how small the guacamole was and I didn't love the chips. And I'm pretty sure my guacamole is better tasting. Not worth the $9.50 Sonoran - 3* this sounded better on the menu. Overall rather underwhelming and the bacon didn't have any crunch to it.

Yelp
Passed by here several times and finally swung by for lunch. Parking isn't bad despite being in a small plaza, probably due to being there on a weekday at opening for lunch. After entering through the front doors, the first thing you see is the bar but since I was there for lunch, I decided not to drink. I ordered birria tacos (each order comes with 2), a suadero taco, and horchata. The tacos themselves were affordable relatively speaking and tasty. The tortillas fell apart slightly and I was slightly disappointed the birria tacos specifically didn't have the consumme on the tortilla but otherwise they were fine. The horchata was exactly what I expected and wanted. Had I ordered something spicier, that horchata would've been even better but you don't need to make up excuses to buy or make horchata. Overall, 4 out of 5 stars only because I can be fairly critical of tacos, being lucky enough to have had tons of great tacos (both more traditional and less traditional). It's a good casual spot to eat at with friends or coworkers and worth repeated trips esp. if you're already in the area. I know should I come back, I plan to try al pastor and lengua tacos at minimum.

Yelp
OMG! By far the most amazing (and authentic) Mexican food! This place is solid. Reminded me of home (Los Angeles, CA). I could swear the owners are from LA, but alas they are in fact true blooded Mexicans from Mexico City.
google avatar

Erika T.

Yelp
Came here for a taco Tuesday lunch and enjoyed it! We started with guac and chips. The chips were the right amount of crunchy and salty. For tacos, I got the Birria, Fish, & al pastor. This was my first time trying birria and it was good though I didn't get much flavor out of the dipping sauce. I didn't love the fish as I would've appreciated more of a kale slaw vs the larger pieces. The Al pastor was great! I'd definitely visit again for hh and to try the all day brunch specials
google avatar

Yelp
We absolutely love this place! So family friendly, the food is bomb and the happy hour is legit!! If you want awesome tacos come here!!!

Yelp
BEST TACOS IN ALEXANDRIA!!! I wish I could give more stars. Hands down this is my favorite place for tacos and margaritas. I'm not vegan, but their Vegan Chorizo and potato taco is one of my favorite thing here and I always have to get more then one. Their Al Pastor has the perfect blend of pineapple and the Chicken Tinga is a great classic taco. Plus they have a great Sala Bar to boot! I've never had anything bad here, so do yourself a favor and check them out! You won't be sorry you did

Yelp
The menu is vast with lots of tacos, quesadillas and sides to pick from. The restaurant itself has a trendy vibe with lights, a bar, wooden/industrial seating. The staff here were very nice. Restaurant is average on a cleanliness scale. There was a salsa bar that had additional toppings for your taco and 3 salsas to choose from. Prices were average at $4-$5 per taco. The taste of the tacos were average. I thought the el pastor taco lacked flavor and the meat was pretty dry. The carne asada was my favorite with the pico and avocado purée to top. The Baja shrimp was okay, I like spicey but this may be a bit too hot for those that don't enjoy spice. Overall, I thought this taqueria was pretty average. I wasn't wowed by the food. If I were to come back I would likely order the more premium tacos with more toppings as the basic tacos lacked flavor.
google avatar

Devyy D.

Yelp
The food lacks flavor. The carne asada taco (which I heard is really popular) was so bland. I already hate the idea of a salsa bar...hygienically speaking it's just a cross-contamination mess waiting to happen, but I digress. The salsas felt like they were thoughtlessly made to be a little spicy here and there but no real flavor. The yellow one was probably the best one. I've never met an Al pastor taco I didn't like- truly, but theirs tastes "too porky" if that makes any sense. It feels like low quality meat and a lot of fat is included in the recipe. Aside from all that, the taco prices were on the pricier side but I guess we can attribute that to inflation if I'm being nice. The only thing I really enjoyed was the fact that they sell Sangria soda there (not everyone does and that's such a treat for me) Listen, I'm Mexican. So I may be a bit of a taco snob, but this place just isn't worth it. I'd rather just go to my usual spots or taco bamba.

Jenny S.

Yelp
Delish! Wonderful service. I've only tried a few items but all were amazing. The Baja shrimp is amazing and guacamole is wonderful. Chips are crispy with just enough salt. And the margaritas are amazing.
google avatar

Madison B.

Yelp
Fantastic service and food, especially with regard to the portion sizes! I ordered the vegan chorizo taco and the nopales taco, along with some chips and guac to share with my group. By the end of dinner, I was stuffed. The chorizo taco was particularly impressive and tasted like real meat!

Yelp
Close to Winkler Nature Preserve, a 44-acre oasis open daily to the public, is this Mexican street taco place. Recently opened, it's already winning accolades from locals. Located inside a shopping area (and close to Global Foods, an international market), they create tacos, sides and drinks. Here's what you should know: 1) Food: The menu is well organized and calls out gluten-free and vegetarian items. Tacos range between $3.50 to $4.25 per taco. They have sides like elote, dessert, platters to share and more. For lunch, I ordered two baja shrimp tacos and an elote. Both were perfectly flavored with a little kick. There's a salsa bar inside the restaurant in case you want more kick to it. 2) Drinks: There's a bar inside, but they also sell cocktails to go like their margaritas. They also have a Coca-Cola fountain soda machine and Mexican soda/Coca-Cola. 3) Space: Inside is spacious with plenty of tables. There's also an outdoor patio for those only comfortable with outdoor dining. While inside, they ask you to mask up and have hand washing stations/hand sanitizer. 4) Accessibility: They have a seamless takeout option for pick up, delivery or you can order takeout from the register. During a Thursday lunch rush, I waited for my to-go food for ten minutes. Not bad!
google avatar

Michele L.

Yelp
The food here is so so good. You can tell all the ingredients are really fresh, and even the chips are made in house. The guacamole was so good along with the elote. The birria tacos were really delicious as well. All the food is seasoned so well and the flavor combinations complement each other really well. I also liked the layout of the restaurant. You can walk in and sit anywhere and go to the register to order. There's also a separate bar where you can take sauces, and fresh vegetables. The ease of service was an added bonus to the whole experience.

Yelp
Visited again this week, and had a delicious carne asada molleta -- this is a little different than what is on the menu, and soooo good! Thanks for another great visit!

Yelp
Great taco place with fun inviting atmosphere for one and all. You order your food at the cash register and get a number for your table. Staff bring the food to your table. I highly recommend the reduced prices at happy hour. For drinks, the hibiscus Agua Fresca is refreshing. Margaritas are tasty. I like the vegan chorizo and potato taco and the fish taco. I would like to try the flan next time. Great neighborhood spot.

Yelp
I finally decided to branch out and try another taco place. There was a ton of seating indoors and outdoors. I thought this place was fine, and I don't regret trying it, but I'm not sure I would come back. We got chips and guac and margaritas to start. The margaritas were surprisingly good! The chips were also fantastic and the guac was very good too. Those were probably the best part of the meal. For my meal I got a veggie chorizo and potato taco, a mushroom taco, and potato flautas. The chorizo and potato taco was by far my favorite of the three. It was well seasoned and they didn't skimp out just because it's vegetarian. The mushroom taco was not my favorite. It just tasted like straight up mushrooms and they were kind of chewy. There was also literally just mushrooms and nothing else. The potato flautas were decent. I've never had a flauta before so I have nothing to compare it to. It was a potato purée inside and it came in a sauce. Tasted like fried potato. There wasn't much else to it. For small street tacos this place was pretty slow. It took over 30 minutes to get our food and the place wasn't that busy. I would say to try this place for the chips and margaritas! They had a bar area inside that looked like it was poppin, so maybe that's where I should've been.

Yelp
I'm furious. Adding a default 'tip' to a pickup order is borderline criminal. This is a terrible business practice. Once I check the order, that should be sufficient.

Yelp
I placed an order through Yelp for takeout. I ordered the Baja Shrimp Taco, Suadero Taco, Al pastor taco, and the Cochinita Taco. The baja shrimp taco had grilled shrimp in a flour tortilla with red cabbage, chipotle mayo and avocado puree. this one was my favorite! There were nice big shrimps and the the toppings complimented each other well. I would definitely order this one again! The other 3 tacos were ok for me. I felt that they were a bit too greasy and heavy. The Suadero taco is braised brisket. Al Pastor taco was roasted pork and came with pineapple. the Cochinita was pulled pork and was topped with pickled onions. The tacos came with some chopped onion, cilantro, and salsa on the side. I had ordered two of each taco and there wasn't much of the chopped onions, cilantro and salsa so I think that might have been why the tacos felt too heavy as it didnt have some of the other items to help with the greasiness. If i was to order again i'd definitely get the baja shrimp. unsure if i would get the beef or pork ones again.

Yelp
Nice ambiance. I had my food to go so I don't know if that made a difference or if I was missing something with my order. I order the birra it was very bland. Super under seasoned....no flavor. The street corn was OK not super crazy. I'll try this place again and try some other things. The drinks at the bar were pretty good and it seems they have a daily happy hour. From 4-7.

Yelp
Their tacos are just so good. A little more interesting than other street taco places; not as wacky as Taco Bamba. Try the vegan chorizo and potato and the rajas poblano for something meatless and delicious. Their corn tortillas are the best you can find. The sonoran hot dog is a mess but it's fun and tasty. Their salsas are terrific. It's my go-to taco joint.
