I've been driving past this stand / food truck for over a year now, and I have to say, I've done a great disservice to my stomach and tongue for that decision of not stopping sooner.
This place is legit. Simply put, to the point, it's delicious. I have Celiac so I can't vouch for the burritos and the wheat tortilla things, but I've had I believe every meat now, including the Birria they have at their second location, and they're all great.
--Food: My favorites are the ground beef (which I know, total gringo choice), barbacoa, and pastor. Something about the ground beef seasonings is *chef's kiss* and most all of the meat is great. I do really like the steak as well, but on occasion it's a little... meaty / chewy, but I think that's just the nature of steak, so I won't dock them any points for this.
The Quesabirria tacos at their second location are near life changing. Think of a taco with corn tortillas but made sort of like a quesadilla in that there's cheese, then stuff it with marinated beef, and then grill top fry the whole taco in some beef soup that you made with the marinated beef (and then be served the soup on the side). It's a beefy, cheesy, somewhat crispy masterpiece that really just warrants a try. (Just so long as beef floats your boat, since this sum'bitch is beefy!)
Oh, as an aside, the tacos by default are served with onion, cilantro, and cabbage. I'm not a huge cabbage fan and normally order it without. It's good on there, but imo better without. Definitely try it with it though if you like cabbage for that extra crunch.
--Cost: Tacos are like $10, Quesabirria are $15ish. I think the rest of the things on the menu are somewhere along this price range.
--Service: I've only ever done pickup, but they're always nice. Food is prepared fast and minimal waiting.
--Overall: Definite contender for the best tacos in Richmond. Definitely the place I order from the most. For sure stop by next time you drive past and have a hankering for tacos!
