Best Nonalcoholic Cocktails at NYC Bars and Restaurants | Eater

"New to Murray Hill since the summer, Tara Rose is a cocktail bar with an original tin ceiling and a real, working fireplace so it’s obviously a must-visit this winter. If you’re in the mood for a vegetal refresher, look no further than the Booze Free Botanical at Tara Rose. It’s made with Seedlip Garden 108, fresh basil, lime juice, and black pepper for a little kick. Pair it with whipped carrot dip, salmon with cauliflower and sun-dried tomato risotto, or a farro bowl." - Vox Creative

"An evening restaurant for drinks and dinner that serves playful cocktails (e.g., Prosecco with blueberry foam) and straightforward mains; the reviewer had the soup du jour, a white bean vegetable soup, which tasted like the brothy, comforting soups she cooks in winter." - Rima Parikh

Had brunch at Tara Rose... and it was a vibe! We were lucky to be taken care of by Itzel, who was super helpful and attentive the whole time. Their bottomless drinks deal is great—$25 for 90 minutes, with mimosas, Bloody Marys, and a few other fun options to choose from. The brunch menu itself hits all the classic notes—nothing too fancy, just solid staples. But let me tell you… we ventured off the brunch menu and ordered the Irish Spice Bag Fries and WOW. Life-changing. I’d come back just for those fries. Crispy, flavorful, spicy perfection. The space is clean—like actually clean. Bathrooms were well stocked, floors spotless, and tables wiped down and tidy. The hostess and servers were all welcoming and created such a good energy in the room. Definitely coming back. Tara Rose knows how to do brunch right. Also lots of pictures moment areas!

A cute spot located in Gramercy. It gets a little crowded but the outdoor seating is cute for a solo lunch date. I loved the short rib tacos & they have a huge variety of Spritz’s that I really enjoyed. They offer lots of daily and weekly specials on their menu that will for sure keep people coming back.

What a place! What service! I came on Thursday after-work, happy hour, if you will. Nev was my server and she has such warm, great energy, obsessed! The HH menu is fabulous, 2-for-$18 appetizers + a bunch of cocktails for people like me:) I had the blueberry summer spritz, the crispy rice and smoked salmon (per Nev's recco), and the short rib tacos. Loveeee freaking love, I will definitely be back to try everything! Gotta gate-keep this one 🤞🏽

They make a great smoked old fashioned so Tara Rose is now a definite on my list regalar bar. Staff was so great and attentive, my friend and I immediately got water when we sat down and our bar orders taken. We were also regularly checked up on, even on a busy Saturday night. The bartender also gave us their signature key lime shot which didn’t disappoint and is super tart (reminds me a bit of like a green tea shot) and delicious. I also got the crispy Brussels and they were not too spicy but more tangy and had such a good crunch. There’s a lot of seating inside and an area outside as well. Can’t wait to come back!

I wasn't gonna go all the way to Ireland to have a spice bag so I looked up a few places in the city and decided on Tara Rose, I must say the spice bag here did not disappoint. The fries and veggies were fried to perfection, flavorful curry, and a generous amount of Chinese five spice on the fries and veggies too. I can't vouch for anything besides the Guinness and the Spice Bag but based on just the fries alone I would imagine the rest of the food is pretty good. Finally, shout-out to my man Chris for his attentive service!

Sat at the bar for dinner on a Friday evening and was served by Ryan. I told him I didn’t want stereotypical bar food (burgers fries) and he recommend the quinoa salad with salmon and feta on the side. Absolutely delicious. And for a night cap he made me an espresso martini which he said they are known for. 10/10. He also told me about their sister bar Tara Mor for lunch as I will be taking a train from Penn station next week. Ryan's awesome 👍.

Stopped in for pre-dinner drinks. Service was fast and polite. They had great happy hour specials and decent looking food menu (although we did not get any food so I can't speak to that). They boast indoor and outdoor seating, good vibes all around!

Google
We loved visiting! It's not every place that offers a spice bag (or even knows what that is, in the states!), and it was soooo tasty. If you're lucky, Itzel will be working -- she was the BEST. Fresh tasty Guinness, seriously just go visit, you'll love it. One of our new fave spots, can't wait to go back.

Yelp
HANDS DOWN the best service you can get!!! Jane has been a PHENOMENAL server, so attentive to our table, fixed the smallest thing with our meal right away and has been such a pleasure to work with! I CANNOT wait to come back here, and the service is the reason I am in love with Tara Rose! You cannot go wrong coming here for food, drinks and everything else and I truly hope Jane is your server so you can understand why!

Yelp
I came here with a friend for a weekend brunch around noon. I made a reservation ahead of time but the space is so big, the reservation wasn't really necessary. Vibe inside is very cute, very instagram I'm usually not a fan of bottomless brunches but I liked Tara Rose's model where they bring out the pitcher of your bottomless drink of choice so you can go at your own pace and not feel like you're bothering the server everytime you want a refill. After you finish the pitcher, you can ask for a refill of something different (we did not require refills, haha). I really liked my aperol sprtiz and the mango spritz was great as well for food, we got the hangover sandiwch and eggs beni - both were great! I loved the bread on the hangover sandwich. Overall - recommend for brunch!

Yelp
Right when you walk in, it totally is the place to go for a great brunch with your best gals. It was just floral and lovely. They played old throwback songs making it such a great experience! The service wasn't too overbearing, so it gave us time to be to ourselves and the workers made sure our drinks were being filled! The bottomless drinks were great because it wasn't too sweet or filled with too much alcohol. I thought the food tasted good, but it was tricky to bite the sandwich of the breakfast because the prosciutto would not break apart easily so it was messy and hard to eat. The pancakes were not too sweet and it was such a good balance with all the savory. The steak wasn't too tough and it tasted well with the onion jam.

Yelp
Food: The food options were a delightful surprise. The menu, though concise, offered a variety of tasty bites that paired perfectly with the drinks. Each dish was well-executed and flavorful, making it an excellent choice for a casual post eating snack spot! Cost: The pricing was very reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food and drinks. It was easy on the wallet, allowing us to enjoy a fun night out without breaking the bank. Environment: The ambiance was cozy and inviting. The cute decor and comfortable seating created a relaxed atmosphere, perfect for catching up with friends. The overall vibe was trendy yet laid-back, making it an ideal spot for a casual drink. Service: The service was top-notch. The staff was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. They were quick to take our orders and ensured that our drinks were refilled promptly. Their efficient service contributed to a pleasant dining experience. Uniqueness: This place has a unique charm that sets it apart from other bars in the area. The combination of its cozy atmosphere, great drink options, and friendly service creates a memorable experience. It's a hidden gem that's definitely worth checking out.

Yelp
Tara Rose is a cozy, spacious, chill, and local cocktail bar in Murray Hill, New York. There are front and back bar areas for guests to hang out in, each with counter seating and low, lounge-style tables. Tara Rose has a lunch special on Monday - Friday 12 PM - 4PM for $18 where you can order any one food item and any drink. The menu has many options. My friend and I visited Tara Rose on Friday, November 29th (Black Friday) around 3:00pm and were seated right away in the front area. I ordered the Floozie in the Jacuzzi as my drink and Buffalo Fried Chicken Sandwich. Floozie in the Jacuzzi has vodka, elderflower, lemon, and blackberry foam. It was a refreshing cocktail. The Buffalo Fried Chicken Sandwich came with slaw, arugula, Tara Rose secret sauce, and buffalo sauce. The chicken was very tender and flavorful. The bun was very soft. There were options to add avocado, cheddar, sweet, Greek or regular fries, side salad, and side soup for an additional charge, but I didn't. Service was great and attentive. My friend and I stayed at the restaurant for a while and were not rushed at all. The group next to us arrived before us and were still there when we left. They were just having a great time and drinking. There were also wall chargers which helped a lot since my phone had low charge. The lunch special is definitely worth it.

Yelp
I keep coming back for the lunch special. It's just quiet enough with a few other patrons also enjoying a midday meal. It can't be beat. And the staff is attentive, not much for conversation though and that's okay. Quality of the food along with the wine and cocktail selection is beyond sufficient. It really is a win-win.

Yelp
Came here back in the summer and didn't realize it was such a hip brunch spot (I've been living under a rock lately). The decor was beautiful and fun and a lot of good energy around. A friend was celebrating her birthday with a large group, and they were able to accommodate the ~10 of us ladies. I got the breakfast sandwich which was good but I wouldn't get it again, mainly because prosciutto gets stuck in your teeth or that you take a bite, and you end up having to eat the whole piece because your teeth can't break it apart (real talk here). A lot of other amazing items on the menu though! Come here for the floral vibes.

Yelp
Went to Tara Rose tonight. The ambiance of this place is so chic. They play great music. The food had great portions and they had a wide selection of food options. The food was amazing and I couldn't finish and my drinks were strong, tasty and unique. I would definitely come back here.

Yelp
Came for brunch with a few girlfriends and had a fantastic time! We ordered the greek fries to share which were delicious. I ordered the steak sandwich as my main and I was honestly shocked by how good it was! Our server was kind and attentive. The vibes inside were very fun and they had a lot of holiday decorations up which made it a fun spot to go with girlfriends!

Yelp
Food has been good both times I went. Love the bottomless brunch deal! Drinks were also great! Good prices for the experience and the place and ambiance is super cute!

Yelp
My family and I decided to try out Tara Rose for brunch as it always looks like a fun place for happy hour and late night drinks. We were pleasantly surprised that they also do have a great brunch from bottomless drinks to tasty food items. The sandwich and wrap that we got were both great. The omelette was very good, nothing special compared to an everyday omelette but still very good. The chicken and waffles were tasty except the syrup served with it is a chipotle style syrup that is almost too much spice with the already spiced chicken. It would be better with a traditional sweet syrup to balance the savory. The service was great but we also were the first table there so it wasn't too busy when we dined in. Overall, we will be back as there's many different options we still want to try!

Yelp
I came here on a Monday night with my friend, so it was not busy at all. This place looks very cute and we both loved the vibe! It was but 2 appetizers for $18 so we got the falafel and the buffalo cauliflower tacos, which both tasted very good! I expected more/ bigger falafel though. I ordered the tara rose burger which was so juicy and tender! We both also ordered mango margaritas, which were very good! Definitely coming back again

Yelp
We stumbled upon Tara Rose after dinner and it was the perfect spot for a nightcap. Big props to the security guy who was braving the cold outside! We grabbed seats at the bar and ordered a couple drinks. I had the "Fell for a Pornstar" and my partner had the Smoky Old Fashioned - both were amazing! The vibe inside was really nice, the music was great, and we had a good time. We didn't try the food this time, but we're definitely coming back to check it out!

Yelp
Came here for brunch and it was pretty good. I ordered a breakfast sandwich, which also came with a side salad. portion size, it was good and filling. My friends got salads and an eggs benedict and they also enjoyed their food. We also tried their summer spritz specials and those were really tasty. Service was pretty good. We got seated quickly and our server was attentive and checked in with us frequently. The restaurant is pretty inside, clean, plenty of seating, good music.

Yelp
I came with a large group for a reservation, and the service perfectly accommodated for that. On a weekend night around 8-9 PM it wasn't too packed and so you can still hear conversation within your group. The Frozen Strawberry Margherita was like an adult slushie. The Southern Fried Chicken Sandwich had a large portion of crispy chicken and is the kind of chicken sandwich that can satisfy a craving. I also had a bit of the Rigatoni Bolognese, which was perfectly al dente. The fries here were also a standout and very crispy.

Yelp
Tara Rose, NYC Tara Rose is located in Midtown NYC and is a great place to come for happy hour! There Happy Hour is Monday - Friday 4PM - 7PM and Thursday All Night! Drinks are anywhere from $7-$12 and overall is a great deal! They have delicious, cocktails, and frozen margaritas which we love ! There are many flavors to choose from for the frozen margs and each one was delicious! We've been here twice and loved it both times, once happy hour and once for dinner. it's such a cute spot for girls night out or a quick round of drinks and bite to eat! They have both indoor and outdoor seating, which makes it a perfect place for summer dining! Yelp
Rating: 3.5 stars My friend and I ordered delivery from here on a Friday night around 6 PM. Food came in a timely manner. We ordered and shared: -ROASTED CARROTS: Flavors were good and it was perfectly tender. However, the portion was very small and a bit too oily for me. -ONION RINGS: Onion rings were perfectly fried and the aioli it was served with was wonderfully delicious. -TARA ROSE BURGER: Burger flavor was good and the components were very tasty. However, it came with an almost offensively small pickle. Additionally, it was just quite expensive for the cost and amount of food you get (only one burger). -PAPPARDELLE: Pasta was cooked perfectly al denote. The sauce was a bit too oily for me and some parts were more flavorful than others. All in all, food itself had some components that could be both hit or miss but still ended up being a nice meal.

Yelp
If you need brunch plans, you can't go wrong at here! Super cute spot in Kips Bay! Adorable decor around the holidays too. Everything we tried was so tasty!! Cooked very well and seasoned perfectly! And for an extra $25 with the purchase of an entree, you can make it bottomless. We Tried: *Southern Fried Chicken Sandwich *Tara Rose Burger *Sweater Weather cocktail *Irish Spice Bag w/ Chicken Tenders *Bloody Mary cocktail *Blackened Shrimp *Fudge Brownie Sundae The staff were also great. They were very helpful in making suggestions if we asked and very welcoming. Can't wait to go back!!

Yelp
Wonderful service from Maria. Very quick and efficient while being friendly. I stopped here after being stuck in traffic for over 30 mins because of motorcades. I enjoyed the happy hour Paloma and the 2 for $18 apps - I got the wings which were good and the fries were pretty typical and I was honestly expecting a little more from the indication of favorite on the menu - the dip for the fries made it good though. It's a cute spot inside and out! Services was 5/5 Food was 3.5/5 Ambiance 5/5

Yelp
I got the steak and eggs. It was a partial steak, so the ends were a little dry. The middle (2 strips) was cooked well and to the medium that I requested. The ends were not very tasty at all. The scrambled eggs on the top of the pile were yummy, the ones on the bottom tasted like salt was dumped on it. The same predicament with the spinach. I am not sure why there was so much salt on the bottom of the plate. I probably only ate half of the dish due to this. At least the home fries were well made and not too salty. I would not get this again. The chicken and waffles were pretty small. Waffles were soft. The chicken was dark meat, nothing particularly unique. At least the restaurant was very large. However, we had to share a table for 4 with 4 adults and 1 child. The 2 top next to us remained empty throughout our seating as well. I wish restaurants understood that children are still people and they also deserve room on the table, so we do need a table for 5. (Also, the amount of stuff that we have for babies/toddlers could be counted as space for another person!)

Yelp
Surprising cute spot! My cousin took me to this spot for an early dinner. The ambience is very cute. As for the food, I had the Grilled Chicken and Avocado wrap, and my cousin had the Blackened Salmon wrap. We decided to share our wraps. Frankly I actually much preferred my wrap. The grilled chicken and avocado wrap was very well seasoned and delicious. The blackened salmon wrap was good too, but I did not find it as flavorful. Still both were good. Now the service was absolutely lovely! We actually were given free lemon meringue shots, which were yummy! Definitely check this place out.

Yelp
Came for a Saturday 1pm birthday brunch on St. Patrick's weekend. Reservations for 6 were easy to make on Resy and they text you the morning of to confirm. Tara Rose is located on 3rd Avenue, the location is easy to find as they have their sign in large letter right in the front. There are parking garages close by, meter parking all along 3rd Avenue, and if you're lucky you may find residential parking on the inner blocks. We did meter parking right at the corner and paid $13.75 for 2 hours. It was pretty busy when we arrived, right at 1 pm. The inside is beautifully decorated with flowers and a rustic feel; they had all kinds of Irish accents for St. Patty's day and most of the patrons were there celebrating after the parade. They seated us in the back. Restrooms are downstairs, and there are additional eating sections downstairs too. They have two bar areas and a TV in the back as well. They have two small air conditioning units in the back, and we were seated right in front of one of them. It was getting pretty cold, so we asked for it to be lowered or turned off. They turned the unit off, but towards the end of our meal, it was turned on, and we put our coats on because of the discomfort of sitting directly in the conditioners air path. The menu has a decent variety of options from brunch, to bites, to salads, sides, and sandwiches. They offer bottomless brunch for an additional $25 for 90 minutes but we chose to get single drinks since the bottomless options were not that attractive, basically mimosas. The food options range from $12 to $30 depending what you order. For drinks, we went with espresso martinis, a margarita, a mojito, and the pornstar which came with a shot of prosecco. All drinks except for the mojito came in rather small cups and seemed a bit too small given the $16 price for each drink. But they were tasty. For eats, we went with the French toast and bacon, fish tacos, Asian chicken wrap with greek fries, and quinoa salad with "big a$$ shrimp." Overall, the food was tasty. We ordered a sundae which they brought with a sparkler to celebrate a birthday. The sundae was tasty too, had fresh sliced strawberries and brownie chunks mixed with the vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, and chocolate sauce. The bill came to just under $250 with 20% tip included. I would visit again to try some of their other options.

Yelp
Omg. Yo. The food was SO good! I came here for a friends birthday brunch. I came late but the servers were still very accommodating and took my order as soon as I got there. The place was nice, decorated with a lot of floral. I lOVED that they had hooks on the wall. I hate when I don't know what to do with my coat- it's too cold outside to not wear one. I ordered the steak and eggs. It came with Potatoes and spinach. OH. MY. GAWD. This food was DELICIOUS. I wa suppose to be on a diet but I ended up eatting the home fries with NO regrets. I would say the mimosa was eh. My friends asked the server to add a splash of mango in the mimosa and it was much better. I would absolutely come back here and I will recommend my friends to come here if they're looking for a place to do brunch. Loved it! 5 stars!

Yelp
Great vegetarian options. The Greek Fries had an assortment of spices and a topping of feta. They were hot and crunchy and made for the perfect side dish. I would order again. Beautiful restaurant and ambience. However the lighting inside was dim. I wish it had been a bit brighter. The service was pretty fast. I went on a Wednesday night for dinner with no reservation.

Yelp
This is my work's go-to Happy Hour place. We are always able to get a seat for 6+ on Mondays - Wednesdays, Thursdays are a bit more iffy. The workers are always very nice and the bathrooms are very clean. I will say that I'm not a big fan of their food (snacks especially) and their happy hour drinks are still pretty expensive even though they do put a lot of alcohol in there. The food is always a bit heavy especially when it's fried. I recently got their Watermelon and Basil Spritz which was delicious, and very alcoholic. I love that they even put a little watermelon slice in there which is perfect for the summer. Overall, not bad place to go for happy hour and good vibes!
google avatar

Jessica R.

Yelp
I loved the food and I loved the options available but the service was super slow the day I went in. There was only one other table seated and the staff were socializing for long periods of time without checking on the table.

Yelp
Came here for happy hour with a few friends and this place was super fun. They have a great happy hour where you can get 2 appetizers for $17. If you are sharing, that's a great idea, but you can also easily eat two of these for dinner. The happy hour runs late as well, Monday - Friday from 4 - 7PM. They also had Aperol spritzes for $8 and beers for $6. The food we ordered was all pretty standard but pretty good. We tried the tempura cauliflower which actually was decent, but not amazing. The chicken tenders were amazing and would definitely order again. The fish tacos were also a hit! After a while, the music does get a bit loud but not terrible! Overall a great place for an after work happy hour. Would be open to trying their brunch or coming back for happy hour!

Yelp
I came here for the Valentine's Day prix-fixe menu with my fiancée. All of the employees we interacted with were really friendly (the hostess gave us a rose as part of the prix-fixe package, which was fun and cute) and the ambiance was great for a date. We had the chicken tenders for an appetizer, steak frites and mushroom risotto as our entrees, and the lava cake for dessert. The food was all delicious! We were most pleasantly surprised by the drinks--my fiancée loved her smoked old fashioned (they smoke it tableside) and I had a great gin cocktail called "We Make This for Molly." We also tried their espresso martini, which was great. This place made for a really nice Valentine's date!

Yelp
Stopped by on a whim after dinner and had a great time. Vibe , cocktails and service were all on point. Huge thanks to Chris, our bartender who was amazing. Will definitely be back.
google avatar

Yelp
Just moved to the neighborhood and had this place bookmarked for a long time. Did not expect it to be better than expected. Food and cocktails were great but the service from Chris and the rest of the team is what kept us here wayyy longer than expected. I felt right at home and know this will now be my neighborhood spot. Take my money guys. It's well worth it.
google avatar

Alexa T.

Yelp
This place is really nothing special. I came for a birthday dinner because my friend is a regular ad wanted to come here. I got the salmon wrap ($18) and added onion rings ($3). There were about 5 onion rings. The portion was smaller than I thought it would have been. I probably won't come again because there are so many other restaurants/bars.
google avatar

Rachel M.

Yelp
This was the first time I've ever been here, and I am so blown away! Chris was our bartender and he is the greatest!! He gave the best recommendations for cocktails and food. He also gets reallllly creative with his drinks too, so you aren't getting basic drinks for happy hour like most places - you're getting legit cocktails. The espresso martinis are absolutely INCREDIBLE! The vibe is very artsy, and elegant - and they have the perfect number of TVs (where someone like me who is obsessed with sports can watch a couple games at once, but not TOO many TVs where it distracts from the overall ambience). PERFECT for date night and happy hours!!

Yelp
RATING: 8/10 Stopped by for a quick drink - pretty good cocktails! PRO TIP: This place makes pretty good drinks for a casual bar spot. They're known for their key lime pie cocktail and it was delicious. KEY LIME PIE COCKTAIL It was great, definitely stood out from other cocktails, on the sweeter side, and nice and citrusy, and has this custardy top that doesn't really integrate THAT well structurally, but adds a really nice torched creamy flavor to the cocktail so it's worth it. They have a pretty good happy hour as well, and it's a great option if you're trying to get a casual drink with someone on a weekday. There's some outdoor seating as well which is nicely decorated. I came without a reservation on a Tuesday night around 7pm and was able to find a spot for 3 people though it was looking kind of packed. FINAL RANKING: GREAT (terrible / bad / ok / good / GREAT / excellent)

Yelp
We went for an after dinner drink and dessert. The atmosphere is perfect - it's a cozy, neighborhood bar with comfy seating, outstanding drinks and yummy desserts. We had the lava cake with ice cream as well as cocktails and old fashioned's, made to make my husband happy (which is a high bar!). Outstanding service, helpful without being too obtrusive. We were just leaving as the DJ was setting up - sadly. Well done.
google avatar

Rosy L.

Yelp
Definitely a fun atmosphere for bottomless brunch or dinner before a night out. Drinks are pretty strong in my opinion, and the food is decent but nothing amazing. Service was fast. The entire restaurant is decorated in florals which is what caught my eye in the first place. I would love to come back for brunch sometime and try some of those items! I also did see that they have a good happy hour menu if that's something you're interested in!

Yelp
Dinner w/ a side of !! I've been wanting to come to @tararosenyc for some time now and I finally got the time to stop in! This is the perfect place to come if you want good eats with a lively atmosphere. Not only do they have bottomless brunch every weekend from 10am to 4pm. They have an amazing happy hour from 4-7pm with $9 cocktails , reduce price bites and Thursday's are for drinking with Happy Hour All Night Long!! So be sure to take advantage of the deals. I came on a Saturday night and loved the vibes from disco ball to the live DJ that had me jamming in my seat lol.. My girls and I tried a bit of everything. The drinks were super tasty and I loved the presentation. All of the food was super tasty and I loved that they had a range from small bites to full meals. Yelp
Great space, attentive service and a huge menu. Love this hidden gem brunch spot for a party brunch with friends or on a brunch date! They have their All Day menu going during brunch hours which I love so you can pick dishes off both menus! (I love trying everything)

Yelp
The food is great, and the inside has great ambiance. My only complaint is that our server seemed slammed, so we sometimes had trouble getting help. However, that's to be expected- great place!

Yelp
this is like a chill bar that you can go to after work. They have a happy hour and it seems a little more upscale than the average dive bar. Lots of wood and a long bar in the front, with smaller rooms at the back, as well as a small upstairs with additional small tables. It does seem like there were a few dates happening there as well rather than it being a large group bar. The staffseem friendly, but I did not feel like they knew the menu too well. they come over to your table fairly quickly. It did take a little bit of time for our orders to come to us. you can talk that up to just being an average busy evening, I was there on a Wednesday evening at around 5:30 PM and we left at 6:30.

Yelp
Had a post-New Years brunch with 4 of my friends here! We made a reservation in advance since it was a Monday everyone was off. It was pretty busy so I'd recommend reserving. We were seated and assisted quickly. I will say the high tables were pretty narrow for a bigger group like ours but we made it work. They have an unlimited drink option but everyone has to participate. They also have a deal where you tag them on your story and get a free lemon drop shot! I wasn't in the mood to drink so I just had an orange juice and water. My friends enjoyed their mimosas though. A lot of us ordered the french toast and it was DELICIOUS. I also had a side of eggs and potatoes and the potatoes were definitely a good option. The staff there were so nice and the Christmas decor was super cute. I would return and try more options!

Yelp
Tara Rose is a must-visit brunch!! They offer a diverse brunch and lunch menu, with the option for bottomless brunch ($25 add-on) if you purchase an entree. My group of four all opted for chicken entrees - I went for the chicken sandwich, which was deliciously crispy and bursting with flavor. However, the chicken and waffles stole the show with its cute presentation and perfect combination of juicy chicken, fluffy waffles, and delightful maple butter. The service was exceptional - our pitchers were constantly refilled, ensuring our glasses were never empty. We enjoyed both mimosas and aperol spritz, and mixing them together was a winning combination. The cozy and inviting vibe made it the perfect spot to unwind after a road trip from VA!

Yelp
Review score: 3.5 I came here for an intimate birthday on a Saturday night, we sat in the back. First thing you notice is the lovely decor - lights, flowers, holiday decorations. Although tables could use a little stronger light, my friends had trouble seeing (or are we just getting old)? hahah The staff was really patient and laid back, as a few of our friends were running pretty late. Although it was really crowded and a few people seemed to wait on us. Drinks were quirky and strong, they were a hit. The food was tasty - step above basic bar grub - loved the ricotta and bread, and chicken avocado wrap. I would order it again in a heartbeat. Bathrooms were down-stairs, they were decorated nicely, but were unkept - wet floors, sticky etc. DJ started at 8 but we left before the bar area got crowded (~9;3) so I couldn't tell what the dance scene would have been like but it seemed like more people interested in sitting at tables than the bar.

Yelp
I'll admit I was already a bit tipsy before having dinner at Tara Rose, so my judgement was a little clouded as this review will be! I remember the Brussels sprouts most of all. I ate those like my life depended on it and I would do it again. So crispy, with the perfect touch of spice from the peppers. Delicious. I don't know who ordered the cantelope and prosciutto (probably me) but I certainly did not expect just slices of cantelope and prosciutto! Yummy but weird even in a drunken state. I also got the fried chicken sandwich which I remember not really loving. I think it just was too much Cole slaw and wet ingredients that made the bun and burger have a weird texture. I think? By this point my masochist friend had ordered shots so it could have also just been everything going on in my tummy that made the burger weird.

Yelp
Been here a few times after work. The service, drinks, food and ambiance is always great here. Great bartenders! Sarah is the absolute best, she's so amicable and funny! I've always had a great experience here.

Yelp
My new favorite happy hour in the city!!! Everything was sooo good and service was great. We walked up around 6pm on a Monday and we're seated immediately on the cute outdoor patio. We initially ordered the summer spritz (watermelon and basil) and they were delish! Really fresh and not too sweet. The HH has 2 for $16 bites which is such a good deal and literally everything was good. They also were all pretty but (with the exception of the tuna tartare which was tiny but delicious). We also ordered the mules ($8) off the HH menu and the key lime shots ($7) and everything was great. Highly highly recommend, especially for HH!

Yelp
Great happy hour specials on both drinks and food! The Key Lime martini and chicken tenders were especially yummy.

Yelp
Great sunday happy hour deals! Came in for some margs and ended up trying 4 different ones. The spicy plum marg was my favorite though the only spice was the chili lime rim They had a 50% off irish spice bags deal, which I never had before, and it was delicious! The curry dip was great and we added chicken tenders We sat outside on a small private balcony out back and it was such a cute little spot. We didnt stay long enough for the live music but we did see them setting up as we left. Service was great and fast, will definitely be back!
