"Of course you love tacos, but if you can take off your tortilla-focused blinders for a second, there are some other major, must-order Mexican dishes at Tarasco’s. The menu at the Federal Boulevard strip mall spot can be overwhelming because it’s so long, but skip to the Michoacano section, where you’ll find stuff like sweet corn tamales with salsa verde, spicy pozole, and the complex seven chile mole served over carnitas. Besides the amazing food, the space radiates positivity, with happy quotes and calaveras covering the walls." - Allyson Reedy

Local family friendly restaurant serving authentic Mexican cuisine like carnitas, fajitas, burritos, enchiladas, quesadillas and so much more. Located on the 9 hole Piper Hills Golf Course with a full open bar with a festive dining area with padded high chairs and tables and padded booths. Arriving with a group of seven for a late afternoon lunch we were promptly seated and served. First came their own tortilla chips and their mild salsa and with our asking came with a hotter salsa with a smoky kick. Our Special Dinner was a combination of one taco, one enchilada, one tamale, one chile relleno and one bean tostada. Made from scratch with fresh ingredients the options were plentiful and delicious. A choice of soup or side salad and refried beans and rice came with the meal. Simple presentation with plenty of flavor. Service was friendly and accommodating with additional chips and water refills at our asking.

It's by far one of the best Mexican food so far we've been lucky to find,it is hard to find authentic and good quality Mexican foods since we moved here . Tarasco's has the delicious, flavorful food and my favorite is being able to get a Mangonada Margarita and their service is excellent and it helps also when it's right by the Plainview golf course . I can't wait for golf season to return 😄

I've been here many times and every server we've had has been very friendly and helpful. The food tastes very fresh, especially in the shrimp tacos and the fajitas. I personally like their sauces. The cheese sauce is the best! Get some for the chips and then dump the rest on whatever your main dish is! My favorite are the Happy Burritos (steak) and I ask for lettuce, sour cream and Pico de Gallo on top. It's SOOO good! The Guacamole Mexicano is also fabulous! If you like guacamole, give this a try! I was also at a special event here where they set up a taco bar. Wow!! It was REALLY well stocked and super delicious! This a great local place and I hope they continue to do well! Come on out to support them and get some great food!

So delicious we went two days in a row. They can accommodate plant based too (vegetarian fajitas were a great option). It was great!

The most bland food I've had at a Mexican restaurant. Even the (homemade??) hot sauce we requested wasn't very spicy (and spice seemed to come from dried chili peppers, not any real depth of flavor). Salsa was mild at best. I had the burrito loco. Great portion size, but unimpressive in flavor. Great people, good service.

Stop here for a quick meal. This was the best Mexican food we have ever had! Great food and wonderful service. I had the happy burritos and they were fantastic! The Queso was so good!

I am really hoping we caught Tarasco's on a bad day. We went there because the reviews were good and we were in the area. This was easily the most bland, tasteless Mexican meal I believe I have ever eaten. The highest flavor profile of the entire meal was the sour cream.

Yelp
We had recently saw a story in the newspaper regarding Tarasco's. We had lunch there today we were surprised by the expensive menu offerings. We had Enchilada Ranchero and an Acapulco Tac Salad with shrimp and crab. Both were very fresh tasting and delicious. Service was excellent and the meals were a good value. We look forward to another trip with friends in the near future. They are located in the Plainview Golf Clubhouse.
