"Tarragon Middle East Market makes the best kibbeh in Miami. These crisp minced meat shells have a subtle sweetness that balances the rich meat—and it all tastes even better when dipped into their creamy hummus. The Lebanese market is located in South Miami and also makes herbaceous spinach pies, great sfiha (minced meat pies), tabbouleh, and baba ganoush, all of which are available for takeout. While there isn’t seating inside, you can still hang out with the twin brothers who run the place and they’ll happily talk your ear off about every single product in the store as you nibble on delicious kibbeh. Small place packed with lots of Mediterranean fresh goodies. Owner is a sweetheart!! Loved it!! Will come back anytime!

dry, stale, falafel worthy only of the trash can . the worst I have ever eaten at $1,50 a piece this is a scandal.

I've come here many times. The owner is very nice and friendly. I always enjoy talking to him. They have excellent Middle Eastern food, especially their homemade items. Some of the items I've purchased that I recommend are: tabouli, meat and spinach pastries, pita bread, fresh cucumbers, and labneh. This store has been there for 40 years, so please support them!!!!

Google
I couldn’t believe that a tiny bag of Lebanese pepper was $8. Rip off. I always paid $4 for it. I bought the spice bag from 10 stores and the price was the same except at your store. I bought it from your store expecting to get it at the same price $4. After you refunded me only $2 out of $10 I was in shock.

Amazing prices and so personable! The hummus and tabbouleh is like none other!!! Absolute must try!

This place is a hidden gem from the Middle East, with flavors that transport you. The owner's warmth and assistance make every visit memorable. It's a joy to return to such a welcoming atmosphere.

Google
They carry a delicious assortment of Middle Eastern kitchen staples. I am yet to not find something that I’m looking for, and I highly recommend that you try ALL their middle eastern sweets, and especially their boxed baklavas. Always worth it and makes any party so much happier. The owner is attentive to all client needs and generous with his time and help. This shop just cannot be beat with their delicious selections in Miami.

Google
Love the taboulie, lots of parsley, lemon and not oily. Meat pies and spinach pies are nicely done. Everything is fresh and the store is very clean and well organized. Nice selection of tea, spices and sweets. Whenever I stop here I try something new. The two gentlemen who run it are very kind, warm and helpful. They remember me even though I don't get there too often. It is a small specialty market with a family feel to it. I always enjoy it!

Yelp
The freshest, bestest, nicest Lebanese market this side of Bierut. And where else you going to find vegan baklava, spinach pies and tabouli just like sitte used to make?

Yelp
This should be a 1 star, but I really want to support small businesses. I know how hard it is to own one. Was going to a dinner party next night with a middle eastern theme. Potluck so I was going to stop in for hummus, spinach pies and more. Got there 10 minutes before supposed closing time and they were already closed. Next night I was in heavy traffic and I called them 15 minutes before their posted closing time to say I was 5 minutes away. They were very rude and told me they already closed out the day. I said I would be there in 5 minutes and would you help me. He said no. Pulled in within 3 minutes and he was locking up with a plastic white bag in his hand and leaving. It was 7 minutes before closing. What these people do not understand is that we go to small businesses because they give us personal customer service. When you have an attitude, we will not go back. I drove down to Daily Bread, which was packed with people and everything was fresh. Will never ever go back to Tarragon Market again since they do not want my business.

Yelp
Sensational, delicious and authentic middle eastern food. Made fresh daily, I discovered this place 6 months ago. I've been back once a week since. There's something to be said for businesses that have been around for over 35 years. The staff aren't just friendly they become your friends! If you're reading this review - GO! You won't regret it.

Barbara G.

Yelp
Only 3 stars because probably this is the most expensive middle eastern market in South Fl. When you are done at check out all you can see is the price, but never display the name of each item on the receipt so be prepared to paid maybe twice as expensive as the other market. NOTHING SPECIAL The owners are really nice and polite but definitely overpriced.

Natasha S.

Yelp
Super delicious hummus sold here! This little middle eastern market as a lot of interesting products. I got true Lebanese Zaatar spice, delicious cookies filled with dates and hummus. I have to say the hummus was so good I could hVe eaten the whole thing in one sitting! Super creamy and fresh! It is a bit overpriced, but they're imported goods, it's understandable.

Nala C.

Yelp
I highly recommend Tarragon Market for any Middle Eastern food products. Although the shop itself is small, their selection of items is huge and well-priced. I recently visited in search of lupini beans (which can be difficult to find in Miami). The cashier helped me find a large jar and explained their shipping process to me. There's plenty of parking in the lot outside. I look forward to returning soon and trying some of their fresh food!

Desi J.

Yelp
This shop has everything you need to fill your Middle Eastern needs. The hospitality of this shop is the best you will experience. This Cuban man feels at home with his Lebanese brothers the moment I step into this shop!

Lisa W.

Yelp
My curiosity lead me here but the hospitality and food brought me back again and again. It's called a market because unlike the American norm of supersize grocery stores packed with junk food, the Tarragon Middle East Market offers the experience and taste of a real traditional market. They provide the freshest foods , best quality items, and personal service. It's almost unreal, but an eye opening experience of what our fast pace industrialized American culture is missing out on. Btw, you can eat there for lunch if you can handle only the freshest most legit baba ghanoush, tabouli , falafel ect.. But low key don't want you to know because it's that kinda good that I don't want to share .. Jk show them all the love you have to give. Remember It's important to support and appreciate our locally owned businesses

Lauren M.

Yelp
So happy this is market is close to my new office! The guys that work there were so helpful and really love their product. The food was fresh and a perfect stop for lunch. The tzatziki sauce was filled with cucumbers and was so fresh and delicious!! The kibbi and spinach pie was also great. They warmed up the food for me too. As my mom and I were leaving, the owner offered us fresh dates. That was my first time eating fresh dates. I would definitely go back for a quick lunch! So good!!!

Elizabeth P.

Yelp
Super super clean -no comparison to another shop on us1 - expensive but fresh! Try the Kibbeh's, the best! Not to mention the hummus.

D S.

Yelp
5 stars for service for sure! Very nice gentleman runs the place. I usually pop in for hummus, it's absolutely delicious here, texture isn't my favorite, yet I still come back for it, because of how tasty it truly is. Picked up some meat pies last time. YUMM! Tasty, simple, great snack. I will try to pick up a different item every time I go! Once again. I love the gentleman who runs it, he is very hospitable

Brittney J.

Yelp
The food is fantastic and fresh. The owners are both super nice. This place is my go to. Worth every dollar.

Justine G.

Yelp
Today was our second visit to Tarragon. We love to try new things, but love our old standbys as well. We bought olives, spices, baked goods and the delicious baba ganoush and hummus, and then we bought some new things that we can't wait to try. And just as much as we enjoy the delicious offerings at Tarragon, we enjoy the two brothers who run the shop. They are warm and welcoming and guide us through some of the less familiar foods and have made some excellent recommendations. I encourage anyone to stop and try their delicious offerings!

Deb C.

Yelp
I went in to buy rose water for a dessert & after I saw their selection, I left with 2 bags of Mediterranean goodies to cook with. Great customer service, the owner was a sweetheart & also gave me additional tips on recipes. I will definitely be back!

M. A.

Yelp
It has a nice selection of products, they carry the maftoul the size and color I like it. It Could use a wider selection of products and fresher products from bakery. The Kibbek I bought was soggy and the cashew Baklava was dry.

Brian D.

Yelp
Inconsistent hours. Went there twice. Both times store was closed before posting closing time on the window. Called and owner was careless on the phone. What a waste of time.

Karin W.

Yelp
I stumbled upon this place a few weeks back and i cannot get enough of it! I love, love, love the owners Hassan and Hussein! They welcome me as family every time i walk in. You will never get this type of customer service anywhere else. I walk inside and feel like home. I always get my Armenian products which are rare to find however it is guaranteed to find them there. Brings a smile to my face, every single time.. I buy my coffee there now along with my Armenian string cheese and fresh dates ( the best i have ever tasted!!), baba ghanoush and cheese pies . The falafel is also amazing! I highly recommend this place

Adriana V.

Yelp
I've tried every Mediterranean restaurant around the area and even though they are just a market they have the best food. I wish they would open a small restaurant in the front. Delicious hummus, falafel, everything is fresh, extremely clean, the twins are funny and the food in absolutely amazing. By far this is the place to go if you want to eat good Mediterranean food.

E R.

Yelp
Best baba ganoush I ever tasted! Fresh fruit you can't find anywhere else in Miami, example: fresh prickly pear fruit, and more. Cucumbers like no other, amazing cheese, freshest and best spices, pita bread, pita chips, olives, and so much more! Regulars know to ask what wonderful seasonal delight they have, hint: check the refrigerated case directly opposite the entrance. A specialty and specialized grocery and more store, that is truly special!

Rome R.

Yelp
GREAT GREAT GREAT!!!!! This place is amazing. The owners are really nice and polite. Well priced and is always always a pleasure to see the brothers. They not only feed you with high quality food for a nominal rate also make you feel great with their kind words.

Kristen H.

Yelp
Very small! I expected to see an all out grocer, but it looked more like a bakery with a dairy refrigerator for yogurts and cheeses and just a few random odds and ends. I did like that they sold things like kibbeh and those yummy meat pies. I got a meat pie and it was SO good!! Very flavorful and soft. Service was nice and helpful. Honestly, if the circumstances were different, I would have been wondering what kind of illicit business was being run out of this place behind the scenes (but im not) because it was just soooo small and had such a limited selection.

Yelp
Blargh...never order middle eastern food from here! I popped into this shop curious to see what food was inside. Never more! The beef schwarma here was rubbish and cost me $5 and change. What a waste of ingredients. I had excellent schwarma in San Francisco and in Detroit (in a mall foodcourt, nonetheless!) and was hoping maybe this Miami shop would too. Hardly, I wish I could wash my mouth out now. The place stocks middle eastern food items but some of the items were dusty...

Eliza G.

Yelp
Three stars because the owners are indeed very friendly, the product selection is nice, and the store space seems clean and organized. What's the problem then? If you've ever been to other Middle Eastern markets, you'll know this one is ridiculously overpriced. Prices are not clearly displayed for most products, so you go ahead and put them in your shopping basket thinking it'd be a reasonable price (as reasonable as imported items from the Middle East get). Then, surprise (or possibly horror) once you're done at the check-out... The total is exorbitant and unexpected. Fun fact: You can't know why the total is so high because there is NO item breakdown with prices on the receipt. There is just a total. Unavoidably then you have this rushing feeling that you have just been ripped off. And your choices at this point are either to stay and argue about the price, asking the owners to list you a (manual) breakdown of each item you bought, and if needed, try to return some items (don't know their return policy though) OR you go home feeling like you've been taken advantage of and never come back here. Up to you which one you choose, but I personally would not risk a next time.

Nathalie G.

Yelp
They have the best and most freshest middle eastern food! Hassan and Hussein are great guys, hard working! Most definitely recommend this place.

Sharie B.

Yelp
Great store with great unique products. Stop in for a coffee and falafel and baklava.

Corinne Z.

Yelp
My favorite store..the twins are the sweetest and the best..I always go there to find all the oriental stuff..Labne, orange blossom, best olives in the world, best olive oil, couscous, pitas, the vegetables are always so fresh..the dates looks like honey..I hardly recommend this store

Charlie A.

Yelp
Great place for authentic meat/spinach etc pies, grape leaves, kibbe and one of the best tabbouleh we have ever bought. Real home made stuff. Great owners with fresh pita bread and a great array of hard to find middle Eastern items. One of our favorite places to shop !

Gabriel Y.

Yelp
My only go-to Lebanese market. Daily fresh hummus, babaghanoush, kebbe, taboulé, meat and spinach pies. Clean and friendly haven away from home.

Marco P.

Yelp
Great selection, fresh products, easy parking, open early and best of all Hassan, super friendly and helpful, will be back often for sure!

William B.

Yelp
Great place. Helpful staff. Grape leaves and Baba Ganouj are out-of-this world. Hummus and tzatziki are a little thin but tasty. Good selection of some spices that are hard to find in Publix. Would be a 5-star but a bit pricey.

Michael W.

Yelp
These guys are great! My better half is Lebanese and we found some great items here like Tahini, Kefir cheese and pitas. And the spinach pitas were awesome.

James U.

Yelp
The manager gave me an attitude about NOT letting me sit down when there's not a customer in sight. He didn't let me pay half cash and half credit when he allowed me to do it before with no problem. He told me the apple soda cost $1.99 but charged me $2.99. Never go there! I'm never going back.

Carol B.

Yelp
Bad food quality. Old baklava. The falafel in my sandwich was reheated and not fresh.

Alexander S.

Yelp
I found this place by accident...I have to tell you their products are the best. Every week they bring the freshest fruits and vegetables. Their sandwiches, especially the Shawarma and Falafel have the exact ingredients and are prepared the same way it's done in Lebanon--Learned that after my trip there. I love their Kibbeh and spinach pies and the people are very helpful. The store itself is relatively small, but conveniently located. All in all it is well worth going there.

Monika N.

Yelp
Definitely overpriced. Nothing special either. Some Lebanese restaurants in Miami are better priced (and mind you this is a deli) and the food definitely tastes better. Bad overall experience, will not be going back.

Jennifer P.

Yelp
This is my first Yelp review; I had to sign up to say something nice about Tarragon after seeing some negative reviews. First of all, this is *not* a restaurant, and it's *not* Publix. Don't expect a huge selection of grocery items or a seating/dining area. It is a small specialty market run by two incredibly nice, helpful and smiley identical twin brothers. They have some grocery items (cheese, olives, etc) and other foods that are made fresh daily. I've loved everything I've tried there, including tabouleh, hummus, homemade pita chips, ground beef pies, baklava, and oh my god the babaganoush. I didn't even like babaganoush until I had it here. They roast the eggplants and remove all seeds, so you're left with a creamy flavorful spread with a hint of smokiness. There are other Lebanese markets in town that I frequent, but their food is nowhere near as good as the food at Tarragon. The only drawback is the price; items don't have prices on them so you can be surprised at the cash register. I bought generous portions of lunch for 4 and it was in the neighborhood of $70 or $80. But I keep going back... you get what you pay for.
