Wow! Love this place! Food is amazing and staff is so friendly! If you are familiar with Caribbean food this is a must if in the Atlanta area. If you aren’t familiar with it, this is where you should go to give it a try! They will guide you through the dishes, ask what you like normally and then set up a plate that will NOT DISAPPOINT!

Google
The food was delicious 😋 drove from columbus ga. I'm half trinidadian and bajan and this taste like my grandma hand. I will come back when I'm in atlanta again. I highly recommend. The doubles with tamarind sauce was so good I ate 3. My husband got the oxtail roti and my kids got the boneless chicken. No talking just lips smacking.

Joseph Grieser

Google
The beef curry was my favorite, but try a little of everything! All you can eat for like 18 bucks. Indoor and outdoor seating. Also highly recommend the sweet potatoes

Xochitl Gallardo

Google
My new favorite place, food is just amazing and the service is the most friendly. They guide you through the trinitarian food.

Google
Vibes are great here, just a simple place to walk in and get awesome tasting Trinidadian food. I come for the doubles as I miss them from living on the island for years. I've had a few of the other dishes and everything is perfect every time.

Google
Me and my husband found this place via Google and they did not disappoint. We had the boneless chicken roti and some current rolls. I am hooked. The Roti was phenomenal. Plenty of meat and potatoes. I could not even finish it The current roll were flaky and delicious. Forget 5 stars they get 10. Customer Service was on point also. Soo friendly. I can go on and on but I'm pretty sure you get it. Definitely give them a try

Google
I really gave her a chance as she is a fellow trini. In fact several seeing if it was going to get better. . I have been going here for years and for the years the authentic taste has degraded. I refuse to belief that they are even using chief curry. I am so disappointed as it used to be really good. Now, I either make my own or take a trip to McDonough to get some good trini food. I do not know if you are catering to the taste of others that do it know any better and for a bland taste buds. But, it is absolutely gentrified. This is coming out of love. Please go back to what we you were doing 8 years ago. As the real trini’s know that it just doesn’t taste authentic anymore. Please do better! Much better!! Update to your response. I do not have “high standards” as a Trinidadian I know what it is suppose to taste like. All of your reviews from actual Trinidadians say the same thing. I commend for your 19 years. But, your authentic taste has gone. We all know that your reviews are from people who do not know any better. I like you a lot and I know you can do better than what you are doing today.

Google
I love that they’ve got huge Trini and American flags outside of this place because without it it would be challenging to find this spot. The reception was unfriendly, a smile and good customer service goes a long way, they need to work on that but the bus-up-shot (broken up roti) and curry shrimp I ordered were AMAZING!!!! I was raised around Trinis and Guyanese Grannies 😊 The shrimp wasn’t over cooked and my roti was fresh and flaky I absolutely enjoyed this. I paid 17$ for the roti and a doubles, which is definitely overpriced but I will be back because of the taste.

Yelp
Authentic food, doubles, roti, you name it! They have Kurma, black cake all the things that warm your heart! I love the home feel, it's like being at someone's house instead of a restaurant. Patio seating and the food is amazing!!!!!!! While you are waiting to order or get more food, check out all the stars that have eaten here!

Yelp
THE BEST Trini spot in the metro Atlanta area. Moved here from the Virgin Islands (St. Thomas) in 2016. My mother is Trini and Puerto Rican and grew up in STT herself. This place reminds me of home whenever I come in. If you are looking for Caribbean style roti (buss up shut) this is where you go to get it. I've been to all the spots over in Stone Mountain and this one has them beat. It's clean (100 health score), the food is always HOT and good portion sizes, and the quality is consistent. I go here 2-3x a week and never have a bad experience with customer service, a long wait, or am I unhappy with my food that they couldn't fix. 10/10 would recommend.

Yelp
Tassa Roti Shop impressed me from the get-go with their housemade ginger beer a refreshing blend of sweetness and spice. As I eagerly awaited my order, the inviting ambiance and tantalizing aroma set high expectations. The shrimp roti exceeded those expectations flavorful, satisfying, and worth the drive. Tassa Roti Shop is a must visit for any roti enthusiast. Stay tuned for more delicious updates!

Yelp
Parking lot only had one car when I pulled up. It would be nice to have signage that they're open in the backside as well. The food looked amazing on the reviews so definitely had to participate. Got a plate to go. Considered the buffet. I imagined it would be a self self buffet but I had that all wrong! Great option for us vegan folks. Love that!! Several options for you meat eaters too. Everything that I tried was really good. I got most of the wide items. My tastebuds were having a whole party with the variety of flavors!! I ate my plate in the parking lot. Could have dined in but I thought I'd take a few bites and fet on the road as I don't live in this area. Finished my whole plate, which was probably enough for two servings. I went back in for a 2nd plate. Yep. Sure did. Ain't no shame in my game! Lol. I'll definitely be back when I'm in this area.

Tiffany G.

Yelp
Stumbled across this hidden gem and was pleasantly surprised. This was my first experience with Trinidadian food and I really liked it. I ordered the oxtails and my friend ordered the curry chicken . My oxtails were a solid 8/10 and his curry chicken was a 7/10( I'm a tough critic) but overall we both really liked it . I will say I still prefer my Jamaican oxtails better only because it's a sweeter taste but these oxtails were for sure more tender . Parking: Nice amount of parking in the back of the house. We loved the patio seating outside ! The costumer service was great, they were very patient and explained everything to us . Highly recommend!

Sheena G.

Yelp
Tassa is the best Trini food you will find in Atlanta metro area. The whole vibe is like a shoppe. (IYKYK) They make a ton of dishes everyday and have some specials on weekends. Doubles are pretty good, and sell fast. Aloo pie was okay. Everything relies on the peppa and tambrind sauce. They sell alot of Trini drinks like solo, apple j, peardrax, shandy, sorrel ans mauby. The roti is good quality. Way better than anything I have attempted to buy here. Solid choice!

Jay K.

Yelp
Quality of food is not fresh Microwave heated food is served Sad to see going down the hill

Courtney M.

Yelp
I've wanted to go and try this place when it was in Alpharetta and they closed that location before I could make it there. But I was happy to find that this location was close to me when I opened my Yelp app!! I haven't had Trini food since I've gotten to Atlanta and this definitely satisfied my appetite. Added plus, it was a buffet. This is a small place, looks to be a house converted to a restaurant and family run. The buffet is not self served, they will add whatever you will like to your plate. I was really there for buss up shut and tamarind chutney but the jerk and stewed chicken, okra, string beans, rice and peas, curry mango was an added BONUS, lol. The food was good and what I expected. For drink I had the homemade mango and guava drink which was delicious. If your in the area, I would suggest giving this family owned restaurant a try.

Shon G.

Yelp
Pros: Received my order fast. Cons: The place needs an upgrade .. desperately. It's been open for years and not much has changed. The curry was watery and the oxtail was chewy. Don't let me get started on how dry the roti skin was and the fact that it had black residue on it. I do believe once upon a time Tassa's used to be good. Those days are gone.

Danielle

Yelp
Food is good it is losing flavor though. They give you big portions , service is good, ambiance is ok. They are nice it's a nice little place that's a staple, definitely try.

Nisha B.

Yelp
I love this place! The food is so delicious! The jerk chicken is amazing and I would definitely come back just for that. I got the all you can eat buffet option, and I really enjoyed my food! Also, the mac & cheese was good and so were the green beans. Everyone is also very friendly. If you come at a busy time, there might be a line that can take a while. Fortunately, when we first came in, we were the only ones so it was super speedy and then we just grabbed a table in a very quaint little area. Also during busy times parking can be tricky!

Charmaine B.

Yelp
Love the food here been here many times and it's always on point. Great service great ambiance lovely wall pictures

Jill M.

Yelp
The first place I went to as soon as I came home to Atlanta, well, my home away from my original home in Ohio but you know what I mean. Thankful to see the fish family business is still thriving even after the pandemic. The food is still delicious And well priced! The photo that you'll see attached is for food that's going to last me at least two 1/2 meals. Everything tasted fresh and well seasoned. Of course I have to add hot sauce because I like it spicy. They have a. Buffay that they offered for lunch for $15. All you can eat. Knowing that that's a great deal but I don't eat much, add it with the fact that you can't take what you don't finish with you it was not worth it for me. However, I enjoyed watching people going back to get served with more dishes. I selected curry, goat, rice and peas, cabbage and callaloo. It was served hot, fresh, and delicious! On the side, I had a little sorrow which is supposed to be good for you. All in all I had an amazing lunch that I'll be able to enjoy again tomorrow. The service was kind and informative.. well enjoy my lunch. I believe the owner or one of the family members was sitting enjoying it TV show, there was a family of five enjoying their lunch, as well as two ladies, who were sitting there catching up while enjoying the Buffay. Very chill. There's also outdoor seating! Plenty of back of building parking !

Shahira S.

Yelp
I have taken many friends and family here over the years. I use to get the buffet pre pandemic. It still looks good post pandemic but it looks like the buss up is gone . I mostly know go for a good goat or veggie roti. The meat portions are less but inflation I guess. You must get a doubles. Oh my goodness so fresh. Service is amazing, they are always busy, and they kept the buffet you just can't serve yourself.

Allison F.

Yelp
What an amazing introduction to Trini cuisine. I was so stuffed and content with my meal that my spouse almost had to carry me out. Come on an empty stomach, as there's plenty to try if you choose the buffet.

Lesley N.

Yelp
One of the best restaurants in Atlanta! The oxtail roti is delicious!! Can't wait to try everything!

Lynn M.

Yelp
My husband is a Trini. A picky eating Trini. I said we were going to Tassa. Steups!!! We arrived. They saved the day. Best roti out of Trinidad. Big enough to feed 2. We ate the shrimp and took the chicken home. Before leaving, I bought rice and peas and stewed chicken. Every single bit was gone by the next day. We are about to become regulars. Thank you Tassa's

A J.

Yelp
This is the best roti shop in ATL metro, reminds me of the ones in Brooklyn...also those were the best double I ever had in my life.

Jamie J.

Yelp
The best place ever, fast friendly and So tasty! Very generous and helpful!! Always a great place to go!! Everyone looks forward to a Roti

Amani Z.

Yelp
Taste exactly like moms food . Nostalgic feeling every time . Best Trini food in Georgia !!

Malik W.

Yelp
This is the only establishment anywhere near Atlanta that has authentic Trini food. Every time I go out there I have to get Chicken Rhoti to go along with whatever else I'm getting. The buffet is a quality Trini Sunday lunch with some additions. They also have almost every flavor of solo and delicious fresh juices.

Andrew B.

Yelp
Best trini food I've had since leaving NYC Roti very fresh , customer service A1 my order was over $100 and everything was fire

Erica K.

Yelp
Food is always good..authentic Trinidad cuisine. They offer dine in, take out and a buffet. Neighborhood gem in Marietta. The family is pleasant and they all work really hard to provide great meals and service.

Kam M.

Yelp
I've heard so many good things about this place and finally getting around to trying out Tassa's Roti Shop. I heard their was a location In Alpharetta but unfortunately it closed. Located along Powers Ferry Rd in Marietta. The place is small with a tight parking lot but lucky for me it was empty when I got there. I'm from Trinidad and I don't play about my Trini food do I was going with lots of skepticism. Bus up shot with mango, pumpkin, potato, channa & string beans. They were very stingy with the curry while the flavors were good I don't like dry roti. To go plate with coocoo, callaloo, pie, lentils, & cabbage the food was ok nothing to write home about. Unfortunately I won't be back. I will have to cook my own Trini food.

Melissa B.

Yelp
I had an opportunity to patronize Tessa's today. The food was on POINT! Worth the drive from McDonough!

Eimm J.

Yelp
Top notch! Been coming to this place for 20 years and counting! I love the authentic food and customer service. I absolutely love the doubles ... mouth watering just thinking about them. Please continue to patron so they can continue to provide great Caribbean food.

Judith R.

Yelp
The shrimp roti was good! I've been back ever since my first time!! This is the closest thing to NY roti!!! Definitely a must try!

Chanel E.

Yelp
everythingggggggggg issssssss freakkiiinnggggg amazinggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg!!!!

Natasha M.

Yelp
Tasha Roti Shop is a nice traditional Trinidadian restaurant. You can get the delicious curry options - chicken, goat, doubles - yum. You name it they can make it. The service is great and fast. And they offer buffet options for lunch or off the menu.

Camille W.

Yelp
At one point I loved this restaurant and I'm using love loosely simply because it's so hard to find decent Roti in Atlanta. Today I purchased two chicken roti and it was the most disgusting thing I have ever eaten. The curry was watery and tasteless, the roti was dried out. I mean I wouldn't even feed my dog that food the curry even had corn and cabbage Don't even waste your money or time. Trust me, I'm Trinidadian, that's not good food.

Kesht R.

Yelp
Can't believe I've never written a review. I love coming to Tassa's whenever I can find the time. I have only had food to go once. I always eat the buffet. Food is delicious and flavorful. I usually fill my plate with the green beans and cabbage. I love vegetables. The rice and peas are never dry. I dont eat the macaroni pie. It seems hit or miss sometimes and doesn't look appealing. Someone likes it. It's always gone. Buffet price is reasonable 9.99. Only a $1.00 increase in price since I started coming here about 10 years ago. Want fresh ginger beer? This is your place. I tried it for three first time over a year ago. I wasn't feeling well. It was a suggestion by the young man that was working here at the time. Not sure if he was the owner's son or nephew. But it was a great suggestion. He even made another herbal suggestion to pick up from the Indian store around the corner. Menthi. It has a caramel sweet smell to it. My mind misses me since i started this draft and didn't finish it until now. Ain't that some nerve?? But anyway...1.5 years later I'm placing my final touches. Lol. Food is always great. Cabbage, rice and peas, green beans. Load your plate! The callaloo is pretty good if you need some greens in your life. Well I'm done. I must get my ginger beer on the way out. It really does wonders.

Robin F.

Yelp
Excellent dining experience. I always stop by when in Atlanta area. Food is so good and authentic.

Sophia M.

Yelp
My heart and belly are full! From the warm welcome from tantie to the amazing food. What a little gem. We love the food, the cozy environment, and people. My trini fix has been fulfilled. A must if you are in the area- worth the 5 hr drive if you are not.

Alexa S.

Yelp
Ever since I went here for the first time, I promise you I have been craving their food like crazy!!! Tasas Roti is AMAZING. You will not regret going to this little family owned Trini restaurant. The food was all freshly made, its flavorful, and the pricing is great!! I can not wait to go back here soon! I'm going to make this one of my regular stops when I'm in Atlanta! 10/10 would recommend. There's decent parking in the back too!

Jaz G.

Yelp
Stop and Run to Tassa's!!! Unbelievable food and you can beat all you can eat for $15. Will definitely be back!!!

Davo W.

Yelp
Obviously, certain people like it. But if you are looking for a fusion of vibrant Indian flavors with spicy jerk flavors, go to an Indian or Caribbean place. This isn't it. Music was too loud to have a relaxing meal, but you could say that is authentic to the island.

Myaire L.

Yelp
Amazing quality food. I've been going for the last four years and every time I go I always enjoy the food it's always very fresh and the cooks are very passionate about what they make. I recommend the Buffay they everything you want and then have it weighed in price if you'd like to take it to go. I recently bought enough food to last a week off of this one plate lol. What was interesting is that the plate tasted exactly the same throughout the whole week I ate the leftovers & such great quality roti as well.

Antoine T.

Yelp
Definitely decent food, and reasonable prices Mom and pop like shop nothings fancy but good

Abhendra S.

Yelp
Really good food and the service is great. We don't live in the area but if we did we would frequent.

Blair S.

Yelp
I am a big fan of Trinidadian Roti. There aren't that many places that sell them in the U.S., and the execution varies. No worries, Tassa has you covered for authentic Trini and *consistently* delivers with quality and flavor. Tassa is practically hidden in a house among a few residences and houses converted to salons and insurance agents. They have a nice tree-shaded balcony on the front of the house plus seating inside. I love that they put the flags of all of the Caribbean Community countries on the tables. Nice touch. My go-to is chicken roti dalpuri - get it with bone in. It's a bit more work but tastes better. Trust me. Goat and veggie are also good. In all cases the curry potatoes and chickpeas in the roti are consistently flavorful. Ask for the Trini hot sauce to give it a strong kick. If you want to feel like you're in in the Caribbean, wash it down with the passion fruit or sour sop juice. They are the real deal. Finally, I appreciate there service. They have always been friendly and accommodating.

Liselle B.

Yelp
Being a true Trini, I can definitely say this place is authentic! When I went, they had an awesome buffet for just $8.99. $8.99 for a variety of the deliciousness that Trinidadian cuisine has to offer! Ummm, yes please! I like that the restaurant is inside an old house and is decorated with lots of pictures and Caribbean memorabilia. The staff is friendly and pleasant and did I mention the food is absolutely amazing??!! If only I could convince them to open up a location in the city and much closer to ITPers like myself, my life would be set. Sigh...I guess until then, a girl can dream lol.

Dennis S.

Yelp
4.5 is my true rating. I am a meat man, and this is one of the very few instances where the vegetables and sides outshone the meat. They have a buffet for 10 dollars at lunch. They have 3 chicken options and about 10 sides to choose from along with roti. I had never had callaloo that was liquified and was skeptical. It had all the flavor I have come to except from callaloo and was pleasantly surprised. The green beans had a sweetness to them which i wasnt expecting but again pulled off very well. All of the sides(and i tried all of them) were good. My only drawback had to do with the meat. I was really hoping they had meat other than chicken on the buffet, they did not. That was disappointing. They had 3 different chicken preparations but I did not taste much flavor variation between the 3. There was some but not enough to justify it taking up all of the meat spots. My last comment is that this place took me back to my grandma's table. All of the foods individually were good. The flavors are really unlocked when all of the flavors from the different dishes meld together on the plate and it is sopped up with the roti. Each bite was different yet all of the competing flavors just burst into your mouth. Sopping the plate at the end is the sign of a meal well done.

Jeff D.

Yelp
What a find! My first time with Trinadanian food. Tiny family owned buffet style restaurant but plenty of seating especially when nice and outside is available. I think I tried some of every dish-probably 25 items total! The meats and veggies were very flavorful with plenty of spice. Also each type of bread was better than the last-similar in many ways to Nan or injera. I will definitely be back with my family.

Lawrence M.

Yelp
Ya, mahn! We drove around the address a couple times before we found out that the restaurant was blending into the rest of the neighborhood. Yes, you have to park in their backyard jsyk Lol. They have a cheap buffet but I was more interested in the homemade Roti's. I chose the Buffalo Roti while my friends chose the Goat and Duck Roti. After tasting them all, I must say that the Buffalo won by a mile! It had more of a sweet marinade, but adding their house salsa brought it all together. My friends did complain about there spicy dishes having more bone than meat, although mine was pretty balanced out. If you catch them when they open, you can try some fresh baked cake or their spicy Caribbean mango. It couldn't get anymore authentic. See you soon, mahn!

Adam A.

Yelp
The food here is okay. When I walked in I couldn't really smell the food. No curry, thyme, onion, garlic, or scotch bonnet in the air. Both me and my wife thought the food was a bit bland. And oddly enough, the callaloo was kinda sour and not creamy. The buss up shut was good, but was a bit underdone for my liking. One thing I will say, is that the food seemed really healthy, nothing was greasy or overly salty.

Jonathan O.

Yelp
Great food. Family oriented spot with traditional West Indian food. Always a pleasure going there. My father is from Trinidad and I know he would approve of this place.

Kimberly M.

Yelp
I have been here twice. I arrived after 12:30 pm in the afternoon both times. I noticed people enjoying the buffet and perhaps I should have done the same. I thought the Doubles we're good but both times my chicken roti was just okay. The last time I went I believe I had the bottom of the pan because my food just didn't taste freah to me. If you have never been to Trinidad and want to taste the food then I would still give this place a chance and try the buffet.

Kevin P.

Yelp
Great place! Small house convert into a restaurant. Very quaint like the owner. Smiling and happiness are her secret ingredients. There is a seating limitations because small dining room, but food and services are great.

Qi Z.

Yelp
Best jerk chicken ever!!!! Just love this place. Ambiance: It's such a comfortable homely place, the food is comfort food, everyone there's super nice, you just feel warm when you step into Tassa. Food: Every time I go there I always go with the 10$ buffet, cuz that's the BEST. You can have unlimited DELISH jerk chicken, curry chicken, and amazing veggie stuff, like curry and chutney, and that roti...man that's really good with jerk chicken gravy. Last but not least, I really love the macaroni and cheese, it's good, it's not too cheesy and oily, you just can keep eating and eating. And it's only 10$ for all of that! Mango and passion fruit juice is also good! Anyhoo, come try if you want some homely food, out of the world chicken and see some nice faces!

Michelle L.

Yelp
YUM. Everything I sampled in this small but mighty buffet was good, with there were some serious standouts: - Callaloo (which I have seen at markets but never eaten before) - Spicy Jerk Chicken: mouth searing (no kidding about the spicy), and delicious - Macaroni pie: dense slices of mac and cheese, with minimal liquid and plenty of almost-burned cheesy goodness - Green beans: what are in these?? I don't know, but they are addictive.
