"Tassili’s raw kale wraps have been a staple in Atlanta for years, and the Midtown location makes grabbing one a lot more convenient, especially since the wait times at the original location are notoriously long. Operating out of a ghost kitchen, this spot doesn't have the original’s laid-back, community feel—no front patio tea vendors or fresh juice options. But the essentials hold up. The vegan kale wraps are still massive, flavorful, and reliably good. The odds are high that you’ll enjoy any wrap you order, but the South Of the Border with spiced couscous is our go-to for a filling lunch. Food Rundown The Punany You’ll need a strategy and maybe a wrist brace to comfortably hold this kale wrap because it’s huge. It’s best spiced (you have the option to get it mild, mixed, or spicy), and the karamu couscous, and coconut-sweet corn, adds a layer of sweet to the crunch. Dat Ish We like this with the thin, crunchy seaweed wrap. It's stuffed with mushrooms, avocado, and tomatoes and is similar to The Punany but minus the hint of sweet corn. It's another must-get. South Of The Border This is our favorite kale wrap on the menu, and we like it with the spinach wrap best. The black-eyed pea hummus is smooth and nutty, and it pairs well with the lightly spiced Moroccan couscous." - Jacinta Howard
"Yes, you have to try the Dat Ish and Punany kale wraps at Tassili’s, a rawist vegan institution in the West End, but you should absolutely walk out with a juice, too. Try their sweet and tangy Liberation Lemonade with lime juice, lemon juice, agave, and mango. Or for more kick, try the spunky Sorrel with hibiscus flower, lemon, agave, and a powerful punch of ginger. Tassili's consistently delivers great tasting, quality food and beverages, so just know you’ll be met with a line at the counter." - nina reeder, jacinta howard
"The West End’s Tassili's Raw Reality is an OG in the vegan community and helped popularize the rawist diet with its creative, filling kale wraps. The house-turned-eatery pioneered adding a fun, edgy twist to veganism with cleverly named, customizable kale wraps like the Punany, spiced to your liking, or Dat Ish, featuring vegan mayo, avocado, and mushrooms. And it's all completely raw—no matter what your very full tummy will tell you after you eat just half a wrap. Tassili's consistently delivers great-tasting, quality food, so you'll be met with a line at the counter. Just know the wait is worth it." - nina reeder, juli horsford, demarco williams, jacinta howard

"Tassili’s arrived in West End (Atlanta’s plant-based nucleus) in 2011, adding an edgy twist to raw veganism. Their customizable kale wraps are packed with flavor and are roughly the size of a Stanley Cup. Plus, it’s fun to order wraps with names like Punany. That one comes stuffed with massaged kale, mushrooms, avocado, karamu couscous, and coconut-sweet corn. Tassili’s never drops the ball on quality, so there’s always a line at the counter. Just know the wait is worth it." - demarco williams, nina reeder, juli horsford, jacinta howard
