"I’m always on the prowl for new restaurants in the South Bay and this lovely little find tucked into the front of a Ramada Inn in Torrance is my latest. Though the menu offers classics like orange chicken and even xiao long bao, the Sichuan-inspired dishes might be the best options. The fairly anonymous name of Tasty China belies the flavor coming out of the kitchen, like this thinly sliced beef and chopped chile dish, laced with celery and stringy cilantro. I used every napkin on the table to wipe my brows throughout the meal due to the dish’s simmering heat and bursts of capsaicin burning from the chopped chiles. Spooned over hot rice, I couldn’t stop eating it. The other dishes we ordered, chicken chow mein for my toddler son, and a milder shredded pork with garlic, were delicious too." - Eater Staff

Delicious! The new management gave the interior a much needed facelift but the more important thing is the food is still high standard (maybe the chef is the same?) The tofu with century egg is really good with the chili sauce as were the beef rolls. The beef noodle soup was a bit un-inspired but not bad.

Good food, clean restaurant, good service. Large portion. Fair price! Highly recommend and will come back again soon.

We visited Tasty China 2 times. The first time, it was only 2nd day it was opened. The impression was good. The food was good, fresh and appetizing. The owner (Mrs Yang 楊老板娘) was very upfront and courteous and friendly. Left the restaurant with good taste and would be back. * Second time - a week later. All things had changed. The food was bad, terrible taste and the "NEW" cook added strange ingredients to the mixtures. The combination of cooking, serving portions, and strange mix of ingredients make the food taste awful. * We'll not be back at the restaurant for awhile. * The owner was very upfront and wanted us to critique and suggest improvements. That is a good sigh and good customer service attitude.

A great Mom and Pop authentic Chinese restaurant tucked away on PCH. I recommend any of their Dim Sum dishes. Servers are friendly and diligent.

There are some good dishes here. Your normal American Chinese dishes such as egg foo young and lunch menu are just average. Xiao Long Bao is quite good so I would recommend these. Other items on the menu such as crushed cucumber were good. This place is located on Ramada Hotel site.

Went for dinner this past Tuesday and was pleasantly surprised. They’ve changed owners and all the reviews I found were for the old restaurant. The waitress was very nice and the food was very good. We got shrimp and pork XLB, the skin was very thin and the dumplings were huge, but not much soup because each dumpling had a good sized shrimp. We will be re-ordering on our next visit. Also got their cold chicken in hot oil - misnomer as it wasn’t in hot oil but instead a peanut or sesame sauce. We also ordered the sheperd’s purse seafood soup and a Wuxi pork ribs. Our favorite was the shrimp XLB. I took my parents and they enjoyed it so much, they came home with a menu.

So excited to try out this new Chinese restaurant opened about a month ago, and surely it didn’t disappoint! All the dishes we ordered were excellent, and we immediately wanted to come back again to try out more things. We overheard the next table saying the same thing, the lady loved her food so much, she picked up and licked her plate, in front of her kids! Of the dished we ordered, they were all delicious, my favorites were the cumin lamb, very tender and flavorful, highly recommended if you like lamb. The Shrimp XLB was also excellent, wrapped with a good sized shrimp. Meatball was also refreshing and heart/stomach warming like a soup. I’d recommend ordering 1 to share for 2 people so you can enjoy other dishes. The restaurant generally looked the same as the previous place, they probably painted and redecorated a little to make it feel newer. The service was excellent, May, our server, was such a delightful and helpful person. May told us the weekend is very busy, with many coming for XLB and other dim sum items. We went on a Friday night, it was busy but not super full. Parking: plentiful parking, since it’s combined with the hotel, you might have to go further to the back. It’s good to see the lighting in the hotel seems to have been updated to be nice and bright.

The Shanghai smoked fish is not SMOKED. It is just deep fried small fish. Fish quality is not good!

Yelp
Few people would expect to find a legit authentic Chinese restaurant attached to a Ramada Inn, but that's what's going on at Tasty China. The name may be off-putting, like a knock-off of Panda Express, but don't be fooled. My friends have been gathering and dining at this restaurant for years, but that was before the change of ownership. Before, it was an authentic but dated Chinese restaurant that offered home-style cooking. It has been transformed and elevated by the new owner. Xiaolongbao was definitely not on the menu before, and I was surprised by how good they were. The soup inside the delicate wrapping was rich and delicious, and each was steamed to perfection. We were also impressed by the stir-fried vegetable with garlic puree. The leaves were so tender and the garlic aroma was infused into the hot oil. The content of the whole plate vanished quickly. Finally, the pickled fish broth was unique and flavorful. The fish was tender and buttery, but the spiciness level caught me off guard. After one sip I couldn't stop coughing. The menu did indicate the spiciness with two red pepper symbols. Once you're acclimated to the heat, it's truly enjoyable, but consider yourself warned. It was not too crowded when we arrived around 11:30 am, but the restaurant quickly filled up. Each dish took its time to come out, and we savored each one serially. Ironically, the xiaolongbao came out first, even though it's a dish that usually takes the longest to prepare. Service was average, but the staff was eager to take your order, to the degree that I felt rushed.

Yelp
Please check your bill before you pay! When I looked at my bill, I noticed one of the dishes we ordered was marked clearly $13.88 on the menu, however, we were charged for $18.99. One of the skinny waitress explained that the menus presented to the customers were old. Again, be sure to check your bill before paying for it.

Yelp
So uneven. Charmingly hole in the wall ish and tucked awkwardly in front of the Ramada on PCH, the prices are right and the pork buns DO taste like grandmas.i didn't have a Chinese grandma but I know grandma's pork buns when I taste them. Additionally- the sweet sesame balls I like to eat as dessert before dinner - we're quite nice. That leaves the Dan Dan. It looked so beautiful sitting there a big handful of noodles dipped into a deep pool of spiced red pepper oil, chopped peanuts and meat- yum... how do you fudge that up? You put such an outrageous amount of msg in it that your tongue is begging for water before you finish one glass of bite. Not a problem if you like noodles in your msg but if you understand food- why would even happen? It's f you understand good fresh noodles, rich beautiful oil, peanuts and meat - why would you not let it speak for itself rather than be completely drowned out by salty mouth feel? This is a frustrating part of eating in LA. If you get good food you wonder if it's the one hit wonder of the place - an accident anyone could make bcs the fish you might get will 7times out g 10 be so effed up that it's nearly inedible. That being said, I will try this place one more time- their good is better than most places so it's worth digging for hopefully a gem of something there - maybe just avoid the Sunday chefs?

Yelp
This is not your ordinary Chinese take-out. It's the real deal. Prices may seem high but it's so reasonable. I ordered the Typhoon Shrimp. I didn't see it listed on their updated menu but they still offered it. Yum if you don't mind working for your food, but optionally. You can consume the outer shell as it is fried to a nice crisp. This was very tasty. We also ordered the lunch size pork with rice. This was just enough rice for the two of us. The hot and sour soup was probably one of the best I've had. We'll be back to try a few other dishes. The place is clean. Service is helpful. Parking spots seem limited but we found parking in their small lot.

Yelp
Back at Tasty China for the second time in less than two weeks! Two weeks ago, I visited Tasty China for the first time. It was a weekend, so their lunch specials weren't available. I told myself I'd definitely return to give them a try, and today, I finally did! Their lunch specials are offered Monday through Friday, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Since today was a Thursday, it was the perfect opportunity to explore the lunch specials with a friend. Tasty China offers 17 different options for their lunch specials, including classic Chinese favorites like Kung Pao Chicken, Beef or Shrimp, and Mongolian Beef. They also feature popular Taiwanese dishes such as Fried Eggs with Yuba and Luffa, Rice with Stewed Pork, and Rice with Red-Cooked Pork. Each lunch special comes with a spring roll, daily soup, and steamed rice, priced between $10.99 and $11.99. My friend and I decided to try some traditional Taiwanese dishes. I chose the Rice with Stewed Pork, while my friend went with the Fried Eggs with Yuba and Luffa. The meal began with the soup of the day, which happened to be hot and sour soup. It was flavorful but packed quite a spicy punch! If you enjoy bold, fiery flavors, you'd love this soup. The vegetable spring roll that accompanied our meals was served hot and fresh. It was crispy and a delightful start to the meal. Now, onto the main dishes! My Rice with Stewed Pork was a standout. The tender pork and savory braised meat sauce were packed with flavor and paired perfectly with the steamed rice. The braised egg was a great addition, complementing the rich, fatty pork wonderfully. Every bite of this dish was indulgent and satisfying. I also sampled my friend's Fried Eggs with Yuba and Luffa, and it was another flavorful success. The fried eggs and luffa were soft and tender, while the yuba added a chewy, slightly spongy texture that contrasted nicely with the other ingredients. The dish had a light yet savory profile, with an excellent balance of flavors and textures. Overall, I'm thrilled to have returned to Tasty China. Their lunch specials are an incredible value, and I'm already looking forward to trying more of their offerings. Next time, I plan to explore some of their classic Chinese dishes. I love how their lunch specials feature a great mix of both Chinese and Taiwanese flavors!

Yelp
Located where the Ramada is on PCH in the front area. Honestly I'm not sure where to park but there are spots near the restaurant but it was all full due to hotel guests it even people at the restaurant. There are so many menu items but choose 7 different items for pick up. Pretty pricey for the amount of food they give. And it did take longer than quoted for the items to be ready. Fried pork dumplings: pretty good and if you have chili oil at home it would even be better. There is soup inside and the fried crisp bottom was a good texture difference. Green onion pancakes: okay. Flakey almost. Dan Dan noodles: really good! A good kick and chewy noodles. Beef chow fun: stir fried noodles. Good but I expected more of a serving. It's just a black container of noodles while other places would fill a styrofoam. Salt and pepper spare ribs: good but a bit different? Like maybe the pepper was a white pepper I think? Or a different spice. Typhoon shrimp: fried shell on shrimp. Tough... so tough. And you can't even eat the shell like it wasn't fried enough to make it easy to eat. Dry pot cauliflower: had some beef pieces and had some . Overall for over $100 it was mid. Flavor wise some items I liked like the stir fried noodles and pan fried dumplings, even the Dan Dan noodles. Wish they did give more servings for noodles. It was such a small amount to share since its family servings.

Yelp
This restaurant has only been opened for a few months, it is now our favorite go to Chinese restaurant in the area. We have been here many times for family dinners and twice for large group celebration banquets. The food is always very good, there are so many and variety of dishes to try. Please try with an open mind, we talked to the boss lady, her chef husband is from WuXi (where Wu Xi Spare ribs dish came from). It's near Shanghai, but their tastes are slightly different so don't expect the taste of standard American Chinese food. Here are our family and the group favorites: - Ribs in Brown Sauce, aka sweet and sour spare ribs, they are tasty and the meat is so tender that it just falls off the bone. - Shrimp XLB, don't expect it to be the same as DTF, their Shrimp XLBs are huge and delicious, and each has a good sized shrimp inside! - 3- Deluxe Tofu casserole is a good soupy dish to share - Cumin Lamb (I think Dumin is a Typo on the menu), if you like lamb, this is a must try! The cumin taste is unique and the meat is tender inside yet slightly crunchy on the outside. It's a bit spicy so ask for less spicy if applicable. - Piquancy Spicy Shrimp: I loved the taste! Make sure there are enough pieces for everyone in the party. - Meatball in clear soup: an unique version of the Lion's Head as it's in clear soup instead of brown sauce. $6 a piece served in a bowl, we like to share one (one giant meatball is enough for 3-4 to try) and take one home - Vegetables: we have tried several and they are all pretty good, we like the simple Fried bean seedlings with wine (aka snow pea leave) and the string beans. There are so many more good dishes! When we first came, we loved their service, both servants were excellent. As more people discovered this place, the service varies a little depending on how busy they are. They do try very hard but sometimes the business is just a bit overwhelming for two servers, especially during weekends and holidays. Parking is plentiful as it uses the Ramada lot, I'm especially impressed with the good lighting in the evenings.

Yelp
Located inside of Ramada hotel complex, the restaurant has changed the ownership and name recently. From outside, the restaurant still looks the same, but the interior went through some remodeling and looks refreshed. The server was very nice and we were seated right away. The menu is quite extensive and below is the list of what we ordered: THE GOOD ONES: Beef Onion Pancakes: the beef were tender and well seasoned, pancakes had good texture and hoishin sauce went very well with the roll. Pork Pan Fried Bun: the pork filling was well seasoned and the outer wrap was well cooked and soft. The pan fried bottom with sesame seed was slightly over burnt. Beef Cube with Pine Nut & Rice Cake: the sauce was light but flavorful. The beef slices (not cubes) were tender. Boiled Shredded Dry Bean Curd: If you like tofu, this dish is for you. The soup is light but flavorful. THE GREAT ONE: Pork Xiao Long Bao, they are huge and I really mean it. The wrap was nicely steamed with the broth juice intact inside. The pork filling is well seasoned and tender. THE STRANGE ONE: Stir Fried Knife Shaved Noodle: it had tomato base sauce and slightly sweet. The dish also had sliced potatoes. THE UNEXPECTED ONES: Squirrel Fish: deep fried fish shape filet topped with crazily bright red sweet and sour sauce. All I can say is wow. The sauce really hit you when you taste it. Duck Blood Soup: Didn't think I would like it, however the duck blood cubes were so smooth and went very well with the sauce/soup. I couldn't stop eating it. Overall, great experience and happy to have another option for Chinese food in South Bay.

Yelp
Server staff was very friendly and pleasant. The small baskets were large and hearty. The small basket was large and hearty. The fried rice was delicious. My husband liked the Bean Curd with Bean Powder. All were generous in volume.

Yelp
My new favorite Chinese restaurant in Torrance!! The original restaurant known as Lee's Kitchen recently got replaced with Tasty China. Not that Lee's kitchen was bad but Tasty China is on a whole new level. They have amazing soup dumplings (shao long bao) that I dare say is better than ding tai fungs version. Double the size, thinly wrapped and hot out of the steamer. They also have amazing pan fried pork buns that are just as juicy as the soup dumplings with a crispy sesame bottom and a thing outer shell. Definitely get the dried pot cauliflower, which is a must order. The dish is spicy in all three right ways with the mouth numbing sensation that really gets your mouth watering after every bite. The dish does come with thinly sliced pieces of pork so not 100% vegetarian. The beef onion pancake is also a heavy hitter that is a small dish that is packed with a ton of meat and full of tender beef and hoisen sauce. The dan dan noodle was deliciously cooked with aldente noodles, minced beef and hot oil for ththat perfect combination. Overall I have been more than impressed with every dish I have tried at Tasty China and will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu. Parking sucks, but service is excellent.

Yelp
[Review #816] 2024-015 Food Order: BEEF BRISKET NOODLE SOUP (紅燒牛肉麵), PORK XIAO LONG BAO (鮮肉小籠包), TYPHOON STYLE SHRIMP (避風塘大蝦), DRY POT CAULIFLOWER (干鍋花菜) I was having Chinese cravings & found Tasty China in my search. Located next to Ramada by Wyndham & Infiniti of South Bay, it replaced defunct Lee's Kitchen (Review #367). I liked the predecessor well enough but the parking is a turn-off because it's practically nonexistent & awkward. Will Tasty China's menu be a draw? Read on... Walking in, I immediately noticed the renovated dining room & open space, & warmly greeted with our choice of 2-seater tables. They didn't seem short-staffed, but it took awhile to grab their attention to place our order. I happily ordered in Cantonese, while hearing the majority speaking Mandarin. We were offered tea, but they were bagged jasmine instead of a choice of loose leaves. I typically prefer 壽眉 (sauh mei), 普洱 (bo lei/pu'er), 烏龍 (wu long/oolong), or the rarer 鐵觀音 (teet gūn yām/goddess) teas. It was fairly cold so the beef brisket noodle soup was the perfect comfort dish; beef brisket is fattier & richer in taste than other cuts. Their wall mural: 小籠包 (siu long bao/XLB)... 個個純手工美味鮮 (handmade & delicious)... so we had to order pork "xiao long bao" to verify this claim. Then added typhoon shrimp for my brother, & I wanted the dry pot cauliflower. We started with a huge bowl of noodle soup! What I wasn't used to was the lack of spiciness in form of a chili or chili oil; it was an easy fix with the chili condiment on the table. Nonetheless, it was quite satisfying on this cold evening. Then came the cauliflower... this dry pot was the surprise dish of the night! It's a variety of "Chinese" cauliflower (can be found at 99 Ranch Market) with small flower buds & long, light green stems; it tastes more herbaceous & sweeter than the standard cauliflower. Throw in some pork belly to elevate the veggies for added oomph. Yum-o-yum!! It was so "tasty" I could have eaten the whole pot on my own! The XLBs were huge & generous with soup & pork filling. The wrapper was on the thicker side unlike infamous DTF, so it didn't break easily & lose the soup. It came with a small dish of vinegar & ginger to complement the dumplings. We could have use some soup spoons to catch any soup; I could manage whereas my brother broke skin. LOL ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Last to arrive was the shrimp... I love the flavor complexities of "typhoon" style anything, I first had it with crab years ago, & would purposely look for it on the menu or ask if the kitchen can prepare it; then tried it as a fried rice dish. This plate was ok; the shrimp was overcooked so it was rubbery. And it would have been nice to de-vein the shrimp since the shell was partially sliced (did they forget?). Service was friendly & polite, if a bit spotty. The menu is diverse with competitive price points & moderate to generous servings. The new restaurant is clean & well-lit with private room in the back; the only thing that remained unchanged was the restroom & parking situation. I recommend parking on the dead end street that's east of the restaurant. Just a few minor hiccups that makes them less than a 5-star rating on this visit. And yes, Tasty China is a definite draw! We'll be back for more "美味菜" (delicious dishes). Recommended: Dry Pot Cauliflower (a must!), Beef Brisket Noodle Soup, Pork Xiao Long Bao, Typhoon Shrimp (could be hit or miss).

Yelp
I decided to try this new Chinese restaurant that replaced an old one. There were highs and lows. I was getting take out for 9 people. I asked how many dishes I should get and they suggested far too many. We had twice as much food than we needed. They also quoted 20 minutes to get it ready and it took 45-50. Half the food was cold by the time I got it home. The food itself tasted fine. Nothing amazing. The inside of the restaurant was clean. Bottom line: Will I be back? I'm not sure. Maybe.

Earl U.

Yelp
Was told their xlb's were excellent. My xlb order looked precooked, was only warm and the xlb's were rather deflated. Also ordered Shanghai sweet and sour pork and spicy fish in a broth. The fish was the star of the meal, but the sweet sour pork ribs tasted like they were previously cooked and taken out of the refrigerator, they just tasted old, I think the ribs should not have been served. Kind of disappointed at the meal

Sarah A.

Yelp
I've been on the hunt for a GREAT Chinese restaurant and I've finally found the spot! So happy they opened. Their food is freshly made and SOOOO good. Their soup dumplings are way better than dtf. Bigger, juicier, less expensive and their dough actually has flavor. I've ordered their dry pot cauliflower twice and both times it was *chefs kiss*. Today I ordered the shrimp kung pao lunch special and it didn't taste like any kung pao I've had but it was also the best lol. Very pungent (black vinegar I think?) and so many perfectly cooked shrimp! For dessert, we ordered sesame balls (Jiandui) and I have eaten PLENTY of sesame balls in my lifetime and these rank in the top 3 best ones I've eaten. The chefs here are extremely talented, the servers are kind, the restaurant is clean. 5/5 stars for sure, I would give more if I could!

Truman W.

Yelp
New restaurant in the old Lee's Kitchen space serves Northern Chinese fare- bao, xlb, etc. as well as Cantonese staples (beef chow fun, eggplant in garlic sauce). Great tasting food and excellent service. Lunch specials include rice, egg roll and hot tea. A great new addition to the South Bay's small but growing mainland Chinese food scene.

Regan W.

Yelp
New Chinese restaurant that's replacing another longtime Chinese restaurant within the Ramada Inn location. Opened within a month ago. Couple of items weren't available at the time we went. Relatively affordable compared to other locations and in this economy. Service was a little scattered, didn't get tea for a while, but it was friendly. Place was clean though. They had knife cut noodles for their beef noodle soup which was great although the soup itself wasn't flavorful and was a bit watery. Salt and pepper pork was alright though lean on the meat. Xiao long bao had a bit thicker skin than other places but otherwise was ok. Beef items had ample meat portions even for a lunch special and tasted just right. Skimpy on the rice though. Will probably come back to try a lot of the items missing from last time and once they get past the learning curve on the service.

Tricia J.

Yelp
I have no idea what authentic Chinese food is but the food here is really delicious! We had the soup dumplings, the crispy salt and pepper fish filet, green beans and a spicy pork dish. Everything was great. The service is attentive, the food is delivered very quickly and the ambiance is decent. Tasty china indeed!

Justina T.

Yelp
This place is *chef's kiss*! It was hard to narrow down only a few dishes to try because the menu is extensive and everything sounds so good. In the end, we ordered the pork xiao long bao, taro xiao long bao, and braised pork belly. The savory pork reminded me of my grandma's homecooking! The pork XLB was super juicy, and the dipping sauce tied together all of the flavors. And as a taro XLB first-timer, I was pleasantly surprised by the not-too-sweet taro filling that's like a nice dessert dumpling. It's a must-order for taro fans. Looking forward to trying other items on the huge menu!

Al N.

Yelp
According to our waitress the restaurant has been open for two weeks. We ordered the dry hot pot tofu, garlic broccoli, honey walnut shrimp, and pork xiao long bao. The menu is pretty extensive with two full pages. I think they are still working out their inventory and menu because many items were unavailable. We tried to order the asparagus and salt and pepper squid but it was not available. I personally think they should simplify their menu or cross out the items they don't have anymore. Anyways, all our dishes were tasty even the broccoli. We especially enjoyed the pork xiao long bao and dry hot pot tofu. They also give generous portions. I would come here to try more menu items.

Christine L.

Yelp
Have gone twice in 4 days. They're attached to Ramada, but separate entrance and share a parking lot. Love their xiao long bao - skin is super thin and they have a variety to choose from. We've tried their pork, shrimp (which also has some pork, and vegetable (which is all vegetables). Also tried their cold chicken, which is with a sesame sauce, seafood shepherds purse soup, dry pot tofu (it's a bit spicy with a different type of tofu that sliced up very well), and walnut shrimp (we asked for very little sauce and they complied - shrimp was a good size.) Everything we tried was good! Plus - they can cook rice decently - have been to too many restaurants where it's either undercooked or too wet. Their rice is good! Restaurant is clean, service is very friendly, and all the furniture looks new. We've been happy with everything we've tried. We'll be back soon for more XLB and to try more dishes!

Alex R.

Yelp
Wasn't expecting a restaurant that's connected to a hotel to be such a gem. Food was great and there are many vegan options. Mostly blown away by how wonderful the customer service was by every worker we encountered. Had such a satisfying experience.

JD R.

Yelp
worse service ever! i called and ordered over the phone and they said it would be ready in 30 mins. i show up even earlier and stand inside waiting noone to greet me for 25 effing mins or even ask me a question. when a worker finally comes to the front door can you believe that my food had been sitting in the front for over 45 mins. the service is garbage the workers are absolutely horrible and this place is completely trash now! Used to be good tbh

Alvin H.

Yelp
The OG location is in Oxnard, CA so I was really excited when they opened one nearby in Torrance! Really authentic flavors and I highly recommend the chili fish soup, popcorn chicken, and string beans. Will come back again

Kathryn L.

Yelp
My friend and I were on the hunt for good wonton soup. So many places were just ok. Then we tried Tasty China and we stopped looking. They have the best wonton soup!! We get it all the time.

Elmer L.

Yelp
Beef roll pancake 5/5 Beef chow fun 5/5 Xiaolongbao 5/5 Spicy wontons 4/5 Service 5/5 Overall, this place is a must try. Way cheaper than Din Tai fung and the flavors are 100% there.

Bryan L.

Yelp
Authentic Chinese food in Torrance! Located on pch across from Toyota and attached to Ramada inn. Pretty small and unassuming. Parking is limited to residential on the side street. Food is a bit pricier than SGV or RH but still reasonable. That being said, the food is fantastic. Spicy fish is the star especially over rice or noodles. XLB and pan fried buns were larger than DTF. Green beans flavorful. Hand cut noodles needed more flavor or toppings but was fixed by mixing with fish sauce. Sesame balls perfectly fried and gooey. Definitely recommend

D H.

Yelp
Walked in for dinner tonight, stood at the hostess stand for about 10 minutes. The staff looked at us multiple times but never came over. The restaurant wasn't full but did look fairly busy. If you are at all interested in service this is not the place for you

Bill H.

Yelp
This was the worst Chinese meal I've had in a while (and that's saying a lot around here)! Had a plum drink that tasted like barbecue sauce had been added ): a lo mein that tasted of horrible oil, probably sesame, and the sweet and sour chicken was made of eraser size pieces. And I mean a pencil eraser. The waiter told me they didn't have any fortune cookies or didn't think they did even though I was seated about 12 ft from the fortune cookies. Oh yeah another bonus: we were about 6 ft from The kitchen . There are only two bright spots: a smiling and friendly young waitress and at some point the experience was over.

Esther K.

Yelp
This was the 2nd time eating here, the first time was during opening weekend. The food is good, somewhat. Ive also ordered to go once. They have so many things on the menu, but I'm disappointed that after so many weeks they still have not improved on the time it takes for food to come out (this time was at least 20min, last time it was almost 40min). I think I'll probably not come back until next year, maybe they will have improved by then. Hopefully customer service improve as well... the waitress had an attitude at the beginning, but finally towards end of our meal cracked a smile.

Day P.

Yelp
If you're in the area shopping and want some good Chinese tasty food and dim sum this is the way place. Reasonably priced, great portions and well seasoned. Service was nice, explained and suggested alternatives dishes (spicy/hot) for those who want that extra "kick". Great for dinning in (no waiting) or takeout . Recently opened very comfortable and clean. Definitely will be back! I

James P.

Yelp
Two times there and all the food we've tried were tasty. I believe it was the dan dan noodles that were deliciously chewy. Looking forward to trying more items on their menu. The service was friendly and polite. The staff were attentive and helpful in choosing dishes. The restaurant has been remodeled. It is casual and comforting.

Robbie P.

Yelp
Best Chinese food in the South Bay, there's not much more to say. Slightly understaffed but they are still new so maybe they'll get that figured out.

Courtney A.

Yelp
Tasty China is exactly what you want if you're looking for the most comforting and delicious meal... you know what I mean... when you just want yummy Chinese/ Taiwanese food. This place made me feel like I was back at my little home town spot. The service was so great. We started with the hot tea, and chose the dan dan noodles, salt and pepper fish, and pork soup dumplings. Holy smokes! Everything was so delicious. I cannot wait to go back and try more!

A very good chinese place in town. I went there several time. They actually use healthier ingredients

Yelp
We got cauliflower dry pot (did not expect all that cumin in it), pork xiao long bao soup dumplings (it was not better than din tai fung, actually have had better at many other places than here), shrimp Kung pao lunch special. The chili sautéed pork with cilantro had no cilantro in it and the "chili" was green peppers. Not sure what part of China this food is from, but it is not normally what I am used to. I don't know if it's worth going back, probably not for us. Rather go to Szechwan PCH. We asked for hot water and got lukewarm. They did not give us soup which comes with the lunch special. And one sauce for the dumplings? The little things really add up.

Yelp
Been here a couple times now that ownership has changed. While their prices are pretty expensive the overall food was good. Wish they had their lunch specials over the weekend. Some dishes that I highly recommend is the Beef Fun Chow, Dan Dan Noodles & Mapo Tofu. While I recommend this place I wouldn't go on the weekends because they don't have any lunch specials, so go during the week & save money.

Yelp
We went there on a Thursday night and ordered 3 items. My favorite was the spicy wontons and the pan fried pork buns. We also got the knife cut noodles which had a good chew and flavor. I would definitely recommend coming here!

Yelp
The dishes are not consistent each time we went. The meat pieces were clumped together sometimes showing the kitchen staffs are too busy to cook with enough care. Hard to find parking unless you have handicapped access.

Yelp
Came here based off a Reddit post I saw, and was very impressed by both the service and quality of the food! We ordered the xiao long bao and beef noodle soup, two go-to's whenever I try a new Chinese place, and both were delicious! Then I talked to the owner (super friendly) and realized I went to their other restaurant in Ventura!! What a small world. I'm glad they're expanding their small, authentic business.

Yelp
Food taste and quality was very good. Service was efficient and fast. Excellent replacement for the two previous Chinese restaurants (Lee's Kitchen and Shanghai Palace). Highly recommended!

Yelp
Very friendly and courteous and the most important thing was the food was amazing. Definitely the best Chinese food we have had in the South Bay Area.

Yelp
As soon as we walked through the door we wanted to leave. I admit I was fooled by the photos of the inside on Yelp. They looked like a really clean nice place but as we entered it appeared to be a restaurant in a rundown section of town. Im sure the food is good ( reviews said so ) but will never know. If they had served beer might of stayed, who knows.

Yelp
Amazing food and such an extensive menu. The xiao long bao were so good, and huge. The ambiance doesn't rival DTF but the food and price certainly does. We enjoyed every dish we got. A really great new place in the neighborhood!

Yelp
My first time here. 10 of us went to share the dishes. Portion of one dish was enough to share among us. Honey walnut shrimp was the best I had recently. Simple green beans saute was perfect! We had chicken curry, fried rice, chow fun noodle, hot pepper fish, tofu dish, whole fish, broccoli beef, xiao long bao, and sesame ball for desert. Each of us paid $30 including tip. Service was great, friendly in spite of being full house. We will be back !!!

Yelp
Tasty China is aptly named: well-crafted dishes from various regions of China, presented in a cheerful and bustling environment. If you want egg foo young with calming waterfalls, this ain't it. If you are looking for an authentic array of yummy Chinese eats that're fairly priced, and delivered to your table fast and hot: Dis da place!

Yelp
I'm very disappointed that the Kung Pao Chicken didn't have any bell peppers and onions in it. I have been to several Chinese restaurants in my 71 years and this is the first time I didn't get bell peppers and onions in the dish. I also had Shredded pork with garlic sauce, it had a nice ginger flavor to it. Many of the shredded pieces were clumped together. My husband drove 25 minutes to go to the restaurant based on good Yelp reviews but we will not be going back there there are several better Chinese restaurants closer to home

Yelp
We ordered ten dishes, each one being delicious. The place is not fancy, but the people are so nice and work very hard. We already have plans to return but cannot decide if we will order the same dishes or try something new.

Yelp
Ordered food to go. I ate the soup dumplings within 15 minutes and they were still very good and I imagine they would be even better if we ate them immediately. Fried rice was great too. The beef burrito could use leaner cuts of beef. I'll definitely be back, great to have good Chinese food in the neighborhood

Yelp
Pretty good Chinese food. My favorite was the House Chow Mein. The Salt Pepper Spare Ribs were seasoned well. The Hot Pepper Fish has got some heat. I like the wrapper on the Pan Fried Pork Dumpling but there's a seasoning in the meat that I'm not digging. Service was friendly.
