Tasty Hand-Pulled Noodles II

Excellent lunch/dinner spot. As a Chinese American who eats dim sum (steamed, after frozen), scallion pancakes (air-fried, after frozen), and noodles on the regular, I was initially unexcited to go with friends to Tasty Hand-Pulled Noodles II. However, I was quickly impressed. The food was ready in the blink of an eye. All fried items were crispy without any signs of burning. The food was pleasing to the eye (esp. knife-cut noodles) and flavorful. My favorite was the fried pork dumplings. Their oozing juiciness could not compare to air-frying any store-bought frozen isle dumplings. Waiter was polite and as fast as the chef. What I think would make the experience even better: • If the same crispiness could be achieved with less oil (reason: oil hampering the aftertaste) • Noodles (not soup variety) were flavorful but a bit dry • Menu is good in that it shows vegetarian options, but for a first-time visitor, the number of options was overwhelming. Would prefer a symbol next to chef's recommendations. Overall, my stomach was happy.

Ate here with friends and the house soup was HUGE :D it had a very comforting taste and the spicy cucumber salad appetizer we got was also yummy!

If you are in the area 46/9 new York City. Don't miss this place. Very yummy and good noodle soup. Always order takeaway, all staff are very welcome. Would you a blow of noodles soup?

This tiny shabby restaurant offers fantastic noodles. I ordered a beef noodle soup with fat hand pulled noodles for $13.5. Huge portion. Noodles just have enough of a chew. Beef is very soft. The broth is clear and flavorful, which is a plus compared to many other places with greasy and over spiced broth. Fresh baby bok choy. The scallion pancakes at $6.5 are crispy but a bit too oily. I'm glad to have a full set of condiments to go with the meal: black vinegar, soy sauce, Sriracha, chili, and cilantro. Service was quick. Will come back to try more from their menu.

Excellent vegetarian options. I ordered the hand pulled wide noodles with vegetables and fried tofu. Would definitely go back.

I was leaving from New York and wanted some hand pulled noodles. Luckily there was something around the way and they did not disappoint! The pot stickers and noodles were fire. Service was great and the food came out fast. It was just what I wanted!

Awesome handmade noddles. I get the Chicken or Mixed Lo Mien with Knife Peeled Noddles. Also have gotten their Chicken Broth Soup with is great.

Very tight and small noodle house. The food is not he most authentic but everything is pretty tasty. They have both pan fried and soup noodles as well as the type of noodle and many different toppings. They have a few soup bases and none of them the are that developed, a little bland IMO. My go-to is the beef noodle soup but I like to try their other offerings too. The lady that works the front of house is very hardworking and welcoming. Portions are pretty decent and a bowl goes for around $14.

Love THPN2. My go to local Chinese spot. Great food. Don't let the hole in the wall spot hold fool you.

I have eaten at this restaurant multiple times. The knife cut and hand pulled noodles are excellent. I recommend the knife cut noodles with just about anything. They are chewy and delicious. I like it as a soup with duck but that is just a personal preference. Today, I got a delivery order of pan fried knife peeled noodles with shrimp and chicken, pan fried roast duck noodles, roast pork fried rice, steamed shrimp shumai, and cucumber salad. The knife peeled noodles stole the show, though I prefer a steaming hot soup inside the restaurant, but as a delivery order, they are still delicious. The shrimp shumai and cucumber salad are tasty, but the hand pulled and knife cut noodles are the star of the show. Go here. Get those. Highly recommended.

I don't know why but because I always come to the entertainment district for Broadway shows, I always see this place and are always curious about the taste. Finally decided to try it and I thought it was so-so. I ordered the Beef Noodle Soup and I actually enjoyed the broth quite a bit as it was both rich and lite. The noodles were also a good chewy texture. It was the beef that I was a bit confused about as it seemed like it was grilled beforehand, which is not a bad idea for this type of noodle soup. However, I felt like there was a bit too much tendon and fat in there in general which I was not a fan of. Overall, not a bad place for food in Hell's Kitchen although if I was craving noodle soup in the future I will probably just go to Four Four South Kitchen around the corner.

ordered the takeout from here friday and was pretty disappointed - got the chicken and shrimp noodles but when i received my meal i didn't eat it immediately so a few hours later when i ate i noticed it only had chicken. also the noodles were unfortunately seriously lacking flavor i ended up remaking them to make it more saucy and spicy so then it hit the spot. otherwise service was quick - seems like dine in or take out immediately might be the way to go

Came here for a quick dinner after a broadway show and as a way to warm up in the cold night. I ordered the beef noodle soup with wide hand pulled noodles. The order was brought super quickly in huge steaming bowls. The beef was thin sliced and tender and there was crunchy bok choy and some spinach in there surprisingly. The broth was savory and salty and the noodles were chewy. Would have liked a little more beef and maybe some scallions for that aroma but overall a decent place for a quick bowl of noodles in Hell's Kitchen.

I love fresh, hand-pulled noodles so Tasty Hand Pulled Noodles II was sure to please. My beef stew with fat hand pulled noodles (#2) was so delicious, especially after I added some spicy chili oil. For the table, we ordered the pan-fried pork bun and the pan-fried roast pork noodles (with big wide hand-pulled noodles, #4) for the table. Yes, yes, yes! Both dishes were excellent and I'd gladly eat them again. Looking forward to trying more tasty noodle dishes!

This is a hole-in-the-wall, mom & pop Chinese noodle joint with really yummy hand pulled and knife-cut noodles. You don't go here for the ambiance - it's about a late night bite or quick meal that hits the spot. Especially on a cold night after a show. If it's busy, you will be sitting at a shared table with strangers. One bowl of soup is enough for two people to share unless you're really hungry.

I was so excited to try this place. I got delivery so can't say anything about service or ambiance. The food was good. Just good. I was hoping for something special so I was a bit disappointed. Will try again in person

Tasty Hand Pulled Noodles in Chinatown is a must-visit for anyone craving amazing hand-pulled noodles. Even with the small, bustling dining area, the service is always quick and friendly. Getting a seat has never been an issue.The cozy, no-frills atmosphere combined with consistently excellent food makes this spot a true Chinatown gem. If you love noodles, this place should definitely be on your list.

I loved this place. First off, whenever I visit a city - my Yelp is on deck. My group and I were starving and wanted Pho. Tasty Hand was one of the highest rated restaurants nearby. When we first walked in the restaurant was packed and their wasn't enough space for our party of 6, however the server politely asked another smaller party to relocate so we could dine! I was very impressed by their customer service. The food was fast, fresh, and very flavorful. I will definitely visit again on my next trip to NY!

This is a hidden gem in the middle of the busy Time Square area, if you can find a spot inside the tiny place, do not skip it. You will 100% not be disappointed. First, look over the menu thoroughly because there are tons of different options. I was sad that it was still pretty warm outside because I couldn't justify getting soup, but it looked so good. I was really excited that they provide a pitcher of water for each table, tat was a nice addition since it was pretty warm outside. Next, the dumplings were so good. Fresh, authentic, tasty and incredible. Since we did pan-fried noodles, we chose steamed dumplings which was awesome. They didn't need any sauce since they were filled with flavor. The pan-fried noodles were incredible. Easily one of the best noodz in the city. The flavoring and amount of chicken were spot on. I can't wait to go back and try something new.

Popped in here for a quick bite while trying to kill time. It's very small, divey space but it has its own charm. I ordered shrimp pan fried noodles and it literally came out in less than 5 minutes. Was a huge portion but had to restrain myself from finishing it all. There was a container of cilantro which I love and added a whole bunch. There was a myriad of other toppings but I only really added a ton of Sriracha. If I was in the area again, would definitely eat here again. Very pleasant service as well.

The food is very, very good. I always order the beef and tendon soup. They put the noodles on the side. I get the wide noodles. They're hot sauce is very good and the service is very quick for takeout is what I use. They're about 10 tables inside if you come around lunchtime, the tables are usually taken. I don't know how long it takes for the service during the Eden, they also have another restaurant on Doyer street in Chinatown with the same name I'll have to try it when I get down there to get back to here. Their menu is very extensive. If you have any questions they are more than happy to answer. Just remember if you asked for spicy it's going to be spicy. This is a bit out of the way an unassuming. Kind of a little dumpy hole in the wall sort of vibe. Don't be fooled, this is a legit noodle place. They have at least 6 different noodles...but go for the fat hand pulled noodles...they have beef or vegetable broth..both delicious. The difficulty is choosing your combination because they have many choices. I love that the soups have baby bok choy in them. There must be 20-30 different soup dishes, same with fried noodle...nice selection of delicious dumplings. Everything we ate was very good, reasonable prices and out table of 8 were all extremely satisfied. What was amazing was how FAST the service was for our table. This is definitely a great place for us snobby noodle hounds. I'll be back.

Came in on a rainy Sunday afternoon with a group of 4. Seating is very limited and the place is small but I find that these hole in the wall places can have some of the best food! We ordered a few different noodle soups, fried pork and vegetables dumplings, and a pan fried chicken and shrimp noodle dish. The food came out pretty quickly and was nice and hot -- perfect for the rainy weather. The dumplings were flavorful and were extra good with the dumpling sauce in the bottle on the table. You can choose your noodle texture on the back of the menu, and I got the knife cut noodles in the pan fried noodle dish. I loved the super bouncy and chewy noodle texture, though the dish was a bit on the oily side (I'd still probably order it again though). Overall really tasty food, large portions, affordable prices and good service!

I'm so happy to have a Tasty Hand Pulled Noodles outpost in Hell's Kitchen. We shared the Lanzhou beef noodle soup with extra noodles, and we got a second bowl at almost the same as the original order. It's a perfect spot for a quick, cheap meal. It's a hole in the wall-esque restaurant with few tables and limited space. Everything came out super fast, and most of the orders during lunch were for takeout.

While in the city, I decided to try one of the many places in the area. Tasty Hand was a small place with a good variety. The service was amazing. The waitress was very helpful with me selecting a bowl and offered options and question me on noodles preference in terms of soft. The soup was very flavorful. The bok choy in the soup was amazing flavor. I will definitely return.

Reliable hole-in-the-wall food in Midtown. The hand pulled noodles are divine in any of the shapes offered! I've had many dishes from here on rotation at least monthly. 10/10 would recommend the pan fríen noodles.

Quite a small hole-in-the-wall restaurant in Hell's Kitchen -- one that I wouldn't recommend if someone's looking for "ambiance." But if someone's looking for some solid hand-pulled noodles, this is your spot. Service was good -- one server handled everything. Food came out quickly. And I thoroughly enjoyed it -- I got the hand-pulled noodles with fried tofu; husband got the hand-pulled noodles with pork. He also ordered the potstickers, which a couple of workers were assembling at the table next to us. I thought these were pretty good -- definitely heavy on the cabbage, but I don't mind that. Nothing we ordered was particularly spicy, or spiced even. But there were condiments that you could add to season to your own specifications.

Omg. This $14 puller noodle combo is bomb. Price is reasonable, the quality is superb without the expensive ambiance. Fried eggs, shrimps, beef, chicken, and their special PULLED noodles. Saw an Asian version of I LOVE LUCY lady in the back squating down pulling the noodles in the back. The server was super nice.

Food 4/5: I ordered the roast duck pan fried noodles and the crab flavored pork soup dumplings. The food was solid-- very tasty. The noodles came out quickly-- about ten minutes before the dumplings. The duck was was delicious but there wasn't a lot of meat on my serving. They include a lot of bone (which is fine) but not a lot of meat to match it. The pork soup dumplings were good too. I think they are worth ordering once because they sound intriguing but I don't feel a need to order them again. When I come back here, I try the noodle soup with duck and then maybe the fried rice with duck (there's a pattern here lol). 4/5 Service: Quick and accurate. What more do you need. 4/5 Ambiance: A small hole in the wall shop with not a lot of seating but enough space for people who are trying to get a quick bite and leave.

Came here just to try their Beef Noodle Soup. The hand-pulled wide noodles are perfect for the soup; love the chewy and velvety finish. This place does not skimp on the beef at all. Not the best but it will hit the spot when craving noodle soup. Interior is nothing fancy but has exactly what is needed. Similarly to other reviews mentioned, the place is tiny! Service was lacking. When we got seated, the workers seemed to have been eating their lunch and did not bother to check in on us at all. We had to wait for them to finish their lunch to order which I found to be quite rude. Despite that, food came out quick.

My favorite place in the time square area to eat. My friend who is a local to NYC took me here one visit when I said I was craving noodles. Now it's a staple when I'm in the area or showing my friends around the city. Pick pan fried or soup noodles, and then pick from 7 different noodle types! The noodles are always cooked perfectly, the veggies are always fresh, and the sauces are flavorful. Many Vegetarian and Vegan options available too. It's a small hole in the wall place with about 5 tables that sit 2-4 people. Always quick service.

I love when little hole-in-the-wall restaurants are known for doing one specific item very well. Here you'll often hear a bunch of slapping and if you turn around to look in the back you'll see the noodles being made right there. The hand-pulled noodles are the reason you're here, so try them in some of the many permutations of either stir-fry or soup. Fried Chicken & Veggie Dumpling: Fine for an appetizer. Crispy bottom side and doughy topside. A good amount of chicken and a few specks of veggies. But really the main draw here are the hand pulled noodles. Pan Fried Shredded Pork Chop Noodles (Fat Hand-Pulled Noodles): Love how fluffy these fat noodles were. Udon sized, but a much nicer chew. Loved the soy-based sauce which got soaked up by the noodles nicely with lots leftover to make the dish a tad wet. The pork pieces were tasty, but kinda sparse. And there were some veggies in the mix, but they were small shreds and not too many. Perfect for someone that really wants to focus on the noodles. Beef Noodle Soup (Big Wide Hand-Pulled Noodles): The wide noodles are just perfect for soup. You can get a nice slurp on with some of the broth still riding on the noodles. The large beef slices were tender and full of marinated flavor. A few greens in the mix add a nice bitter contrast to the fatty richness. The beef broth was definitely beefy and great for this dish, though wasn't quite as complex as a Vietnamese pho.

Very respectful and nice service. Love that they gave me my own pitcher of water so If I ran into a hot sauce situation I could put it out on my own. The noodles were very good w tofu. I put a little hot sauce to make the flavors pop. It was a a good amount of food and cot me $14. P

Authentic flavored pulled-noodle...hits the spot on a cold NYC evening. I added some chili oil that came with the order, and it's delicious. Chooses the regular thickness noodle instead of the fat one, and it's Q and just the right amount of chewiness. Soup is flavorful like an instant noodle, but you know it's freshly made. Even though it didn't look like a lot, but a serving is plenty. Would order again when cravings hit.

Trying some noodles in NYC was on my list while visiting. We were having some drinks in a nearby pub and I saw this spot was nearby and decided to try it. I placed an order online and headed there on foot. When we arrived, it seems the online order had not gone through yet, but they found it and offered us a seat to wait while they made the order which was done very quickly. I took it to go back to our hotel. I tried the pork and veggie dumplings first. They had a great flavor, though slightly soggy but that could just be from the steam while carrying them back to eat. I still found them very yummy. I chose the fat pan fried noodles with chicken. This was soooo good! Not overly salty or sweet like some places I've tried back home, lots of chicken and veggies, and the noodles just had a perfect texture. I ate some as is and then added some of the hot sauce included which wasn't too spicy for me and added a great layer of flavor. My bf wasn't hungry and I couldn't finish my order on my own; I ended up stashing leftovers in the hotel fridge and then ate some for breakfast the following morning because I enjoyed them so much (even yummy cold!). Overall, this was a great spot to grab a yummy, inexpensive meal and I'll be hunting for a place like this at home for sure.

Small restaurant tucked away in Hell's Kitchen that serves some authentic noodle dishes and other eats! I got the Pan Fried Noodles with Fried Tofu for takeout (Service was pretty quick), which was pretty solid. Not too oily or salty, with a generous amount of tofu and other veggies mixed into the noodles. I enjoyed the dish, though next time I will probably try one with beef or chicken. The restaurant itself was pretty small; probably couldn't sit more than 15 people at once. The woman behind the counter was friendly and the kitchen was able to prepare my takeout order pretty quickly. Will definitely come back again and try another dish when I need something for lunch or dinner!

Very delicious hand pulled noodle soup dishes! My friend and I got the chicken and shrimp noodle soup and the shredded pork noodle soup. The broth was very tasty, and the toppings are well done. The place is a bit small, and the staff definitely seems a bit busy. But it did not take away from how good the noodle soup dishes were.

I was really craving hand pulled noodles and it was a Sunday so I was searching for something open. I have to stay I expected the flat wide noodles like Xian has, but this reminded me more of chow mein type noodles. Not sure if I am incorrect in thinking hand pulled means something more like Xian's Famous Foods, but was slightly disappointed to not get that. That being said this house pan fried noodle dish was great so if you do end up here I would get that.

I've been here a handful of times when looking for a relatively cheap filling bowl of noodles. Service is what you'd expect for a tiny hole in the wall like this. The beef noodle soup has plenty of beef but my preference is the Fujianese (or as they list on the menu Fujannese) Fish Ball Noodle Soup which are filled with a bit of pork. The fish balls have a good bounciness and chew to them. I prefer the knife cut noodles which have a satisfying chew to them) and they gave plenty of fish balls as well. Of course it's more expensive here than in Chinatown but I mean it's Hell's Kitchen so I'm presuming the rent is higher even though the place is even smaller than their other location. Always a solid choice even if it's not a destination restaurant for the area. Just a good little staple.

Very small location, but it has a bathroom. We ate at the original location in Chinatown the day before and were dying to try it again. Their pan fried noodles were without hesitation, the VERY BEST Asian noodles we have EVER had! Their steamed dumplings with the dumplings sauce were insanely good as well. While here, we also tried their chicken fried rice which was typical fried rice. Honestly, the original location is better and has bigger portions. If you have the choice, go to the other location, if not, this place is still super good.

Prices are higher than the downtown location, but it's easier to get to so I have started coming here more often now. And bonus they take credit cards, unlike downtown I normally get the beef noodle soup with normal hand pulled noodles, the fried dumplings, and xaiolongbao. I believe they've got a selection of noodles here. Weird I have actually never heard them pulling the noodles l, like other places I've been, but maybe they don't do it prime dining times Sauce for the xiaolongbao isn't great, they have one but it doesn't feel right. They have a number of other sauces on the table ranging from chili oil, sriracha, vinegar, soy sauce. Small location with probably seating for about 20

Small location with about 7 tables that seats 4 -6 people. It would be very crowded at capacity. The server greeted us immediately and gave us menus. The name of the restaurant says it all. Most of the dishes featured a combination of various sized noodles, a protein (beef, pork, chicken, shrimp, etc), and vegetables . I ordered the pan fried beef noodles. After a very short wait, the server brought a steaming hot plate of the entree. Verry hot, which means just cooked. It was very tasty, added a bit of soy sauce, otherwise it was good. Next time, I'll order takeout from them for the following reasons. 1. It's very cramped in the dining room, you're literally 4 paces from the front door AND the back of the restaurant. 2. The food preparation area kinda ...leaks into the dining room. I watch a preparer make a dish whilst I ate. Meh.

The noodles were not competely done but the broth was good. The service was spotty and not for the folks beside me.

Hella massive portion sizes at decent prices for the area. Not the best Chinese food I've gotten but that quantity is quite value. Smaller interior so get takeout if you have a bigger group.

Don't think...just walk in. This isn't the largest restaurant, but what mom and pop restaurant is in NYC? What the place lacks in space, makes up in quality service and taste. If you're looking for comfort, quality, speed, and perfectly wrapped juicy dumplings... go here! Their menu has A LOT to offer. Not only do they give you a ridiculously filling portion, they even hand pull their noodles!!! We got the dumpling noodle soup and the beef stew noodle soup. You cannot go wrong with either. The beef was perfectly tender and the soup had me going back for more until it was all gone. The dumpling had the perfect thinness of wrapping with the most juicy filling inside. And the noodles were the perfect consistency. At the end they even gave us a fruity asian candy that had a nice and refreshing taste.

Great little spot for hand pulled and fresh noodles. The dumplings seem to be homemade as well. The menu is actually pretty expensive for a small little shop. The noodles are very good and can be selected in either a soup or dry/sauteed. Flavors are good, portions generous. Even a simple sauteed baby bok choy was cooked right. Definitely recommended and would be back! It is quite small so you will need to be comfortable sitting in a small, and at times packed space.

AMAZING!! All the staff were super nice. They fixed our shaky table without us asking and even offered hot water because it was raining outside. We tried the beef noodle soup with the knife peeled noodles which was so satisfying! The noodle texture was chewy and retained it spring. Not mushy at all and held up well in the soup. We also ordered the wanton noodle soup with the skinnier noodles which were also a solid choice, less chewy but still yummy. The stir fried bok choy was giving me homey vibes and was a nice dish on a rainy day. We also ordered the fried shrimp and veggie dumpling which was perfectly crispy. Would HAVE to recommend the cold cucumber salad!! Mildy spicy, refreshing, and citrusy. Very well balanced and the cucumbers were crunchy and smashed allowing all the good marination in :))

Friendly neighborhood small noodle place that gets the job done. It offers great selection of noodle from thin to thick all sizes, with options of soup or stir fried with the choice of your protein. The noodle is very tasty and good texture. The soup dumpling is alright, very tiny and the skin is a little bit thick to my taste. It taste like frozen package ones instead of the fresh made kind. Don't recommend.

FOOD Perfect for a quick stop for authentic (and cheap!) hand pulled noodle. For each noodle dish, you can select the kind of noodle you want (from thin to regular to wide noodles) and the toppings (eg beef tendon, pork dumplings etc). Most of their noodles are about $14-15. The soup itself is on the saltier end, and the noodle itself is on the chewier end compared to store-brought noodles. I probably wouldn't make a dedicated trip to come to this spot, but I'd stop by again to satisfy my noodle cravings if I were in the neighborhood! SERVICE Super efficient service. Our food literally came out 2 minutes after we ordered AMBIANCE If you're here, you are definitely not here for the ambiance. It's a very small restaurant that can seat about 15 people at most (4-5 tables). Lady behind the counter will come out and take your order, but the utensils and napkins are all self-served and available on the table.

Tiny place in midtown. Only 3 tables (2 for parties of 4 and 1 two-seater) but they have tons of takeout so the place stays busy. Very extensive menu with all kinds of Noodle soups, Pan Fried noodles, dumplings, and fried rice. I had the Pan fried shrimp and pork which was so tasty and delicious!! Must go back and taste other dishes

Decent stir-fry noodle spot but not the best. There is minimal seating in the restaurant, enough seats for maybe 14 people. The sauce wasn't too thick or salty. It honestly had good flavors. One complaint is that the noodles were a little overcooked. They almost fell apart as I dug my chopsticks in. Another is that the pork was very tough. It looked like chicken and was super chewy. I might come back for a quick meal but wouldn't necessarily go out of my way to come.
