I like the food here and it is authentic. We asked for no MSG and the flavor is just right. Not too salty, not to spicy, not too oily, not too sweet. Great portion too and left the place happy.

Had a quick lunch here today and ordered the Mao's pork belly and wood ear mushrooms with garlic sauce. Came with a side of rice. Food was super tasty (albeit super spicy) and would 100% come here again! Service was quick and friendly and they packaged my leftovers for me.

I’ve been here twice now. Food is excellent - so savory and flavorful! Lots of salt and spice! Menu - you can scan a QR code and order directly to your table. They have pictures which is helpful and everything is in English and Chinese. Must try: the tea smoked duck and the mandarin crispy chicken. Their mapo tofu is the best I’ve had at a restaurant. The Yangzhou fried rice is perfectly salty and has spam in it, so good! Their garlic green beans are super tasty too. The spicy wontons were just ok. The place itself is clean and modern. The service is iffy, we had to get up to ask for takeout boxes and the check, but they were really diligent about getting us fresh water jugs throughout the meal. Tasty House is worth it for the food - both price and quality.

Wow I’m so shocked from the service today at tasty house. The foods and the staffs are so quick and great. So kind and friendly here. Gave really good recommendations. You get your food less than five minutes. Everything we had — was delicious and amazing. Definitely would come back again! Love their mapo tofu, crispy chicken wings and green beans. Surprising the numbing wasn’t bad at alll and you can still taste how good the food. 10/10! This is the spot to hit for spicy foods. Thank you Tasty House 🤍

First time here and pleasantly surprised by the tasty dishes. We ordered beef with green beans and is our absolute favorite (will be back for this again), and the fried fish with dried chilli. It was a tad too spicy with a mala taste for my kids, but still tasty. Both dishes came out piping hot and we enjoyed our experience! The service staff were also friendly and extra patient with my kids who practiced asking for extra bowls and utensils in Mandarin.

The food is very flavorful and the portions are solid. We always order too much, but most things reheat well. The cabbage drypot with pork is one dish we can't skip when we come here (which is nearly weekly). There are dishes that our picky teens like as well. Can recommend the spicy stir fried beef with peppers, sizzling beef with taro, hot sour soup and the chongqing chicken. These dishes are so good we find out hard to venture into new dishes. Walnut shrimp and the orange chicken work well for kids

Delicious food and great service! The spicy oil chicken (kou shui ji) is especially tasty—tender, flavorful, and perfectly spiced. Highly recommend this restaurant for authentic flavors and a satisfying meal.

This is a great new-ish Szechuan restaurant in Bellevue! Even if you're not a fan of spice, they offer a number of items that are mild or have no spice at all. Two of us came in at noon on a Sunday and we were seated immediately. A carafe of water with lemon was already placed on the table and we asked for a pot of tea which was complimentary. Out of their large menu, we selected three dishes which turned out to be a well-balanced meal. The food came out more quickly than expected and the portions were generous! While we polished off the vegetable dish, we had enough noodles and chicken for another serving. + CHONG QING HOT CHICKEN ($21.99): Small fried pieces of chicken came tossed in spicy seasoning and a ton of dried chili peppers. The online menu displays three pepper icons which I'd describe as accurate... I could definitely feel the heat! Despite the moderate tingling, I couldn't stop eating these as the outside was perfectly crispy, the chicken was juicy inside and the pieces weren't too salty either. I just wish the chunks of chicken were larger. Many of them were so small that it felt like I was eating just crust. + HOT & SPICY HAND SHAVEN NOODLES ($15.99): Really good! These noodles are hand-cut, so they come in a variety of lengths and thickness. I asked about the spice level on this dish and the waiter said it's between one and two stars, but you can ask them to make it spicier if you'd like. I personally didn't find them very spicy, especially not compared to the Chong Qing Hot Chicken! The noodles had a nice firm chew and the sauce was addicting too. For our meat option, we chose beef, which was super tender and thinly sliced. An ample amount of cabbage added some crunch. + STIR-FRIED GREEN BEANS ($15.99): These beans were so delicious and tossed with a ton of chopped garlic. This was not spicy at all, but full of flavor. We kept scooping more and more beans onto our plates. The employees who we interacted with were personable and as we packed our leftovers, we asked for a couple cups of hot water to end our meal. The waiter kindly brought them over and also gave us a heads up that the kitchen was closing in 10 minutes at 3:00P, just in case we wanted to order anything else. At 3:00P, the staff all take their lunch break and the restaurant opens back up at 5:00P for dinner. Given the various table sizes, this restaurant can accommodate groups of different sizes. There are many four-person tables, but also a couple larger tables in the front and what appeared to be a separate room behind two doors. I recommend Tasty House for a good local Szechuan spot! 4.25 stars.

I finally made it out to Tasty House in Bellevue and I'm so glad I did. The place has a warm, modern vibe inside -- cozy lighting, spacious tables (great for groups), and everything felt clean and inviting. Service was friendly and helpful. Our server checked in a few times to make sure the spice level was right for us, which I really appreciated. Even when the restaurant got busy, they kept things moving and stayed attentive. Food of course was authentic. I recommend everyone to come.

Szechuanese done right. We had a private room off to he side and ordered family style. Big portions, spicy, savory, big menu, numbing spice. We ordered 15 dishes and they were all winners, every last one. Boiled fish, ma po tofu, hand shaved noodles, chong qing chicken, garlic eggplant were all winners, just to name a few. Prices were very good for big portions. They take reservations online for groups up to 15 ppl. The clear choice if I am ever craving szechuanese on the Eastside.

The place was spacious with plenty of seating and my party of 4 were seated right away on a Thursday night. The food was tasty! Not too oily but packed with a lot of Szechuan flavor. Sliced beef: 10/10 cold sliced beef was a refreshing palate cleanser even thought it was still slightly numbing from the mala Eggplant with thousand egg (don't remember the actual name): 1000/10 I would 100% come back to eat this again, it was delicious with a warm bowl of rice Assorted dry pot: 6/10 packed with veggies and a little meat but honestly not that much flavor Chingqing chicken: 10/10 probably another star of the table, more than shareable between 4 people considering how much food we had. The pepper had a light crunch and the chicken was lightly spicy and crispy

Tasty house is a pretty tasty house. It's in the same plaza as Walmart, so a huge parking lot. The interior is pretty big, and has a cute modern aesthetic. Came in for a weekend dinner and was greeted and sat immediately. There are QR codes at the tables to scan and order which was super convenient. We ordered the fatty beef slices in the spicy soup, and the cold noodles, along with a couple bowls of rice. The food came out pretty quickly. Cold noodles were refreshing and super mala. The sauce was peanut-y and a tiny bit sweet which went so well with the spice. According to the menu, it was only level 1 spice vs the beef slices dish which was level 2 spice. The beef in hot soup seemed less spicy than the noodles lol but it was also so flavorful. It did get a little on the salty side, but that is what the rice is for. I also feel like they could've added more beef slices, but it was still a yummy dish Overall, tasty! Partner and I tried this place on our last day in Seattle. We just had the soup dumplings and the spicy beef brisket soup. The portions were quite generous. The soup dumplings were just okay--it was a bit too thick and the broth wasn't as flavorful as I was used to. The soup was also alright. The bowl was huge. The "brisket" bits seemed like leftovers from another dish and could've have been more tender. I thought the spice level was okay but my partner thought it was too much and a bit overpowering.

It was my first visit. Food was good. Dishes were salty and oily but they do have dishes that you can get if you are concerned about oil and deep fried foods. We ordered many dishes to share, ordered too much. It is family style portion. Sesame chicken, Chowmein, tofu, shrimps with walnuts, cashew chicken, green beans, egg plants garlic sauce and other stir fired veggie. Dishes do not come with rice. The only thing I did not like was eggs, it was soaking inside. Other dishes were cooked perfectly but as I mentioned, it is greasy. It is on the salty side. You can asked for chili oil. The servers were friendly and nice. There are parking lot. They do take break between lunch and dinner. Dinner starts at 5 pm.

Great authentic Chinese food. The service was quick and nice and the food was very flavorful. The restaurant filled up but there was never a wait. We visited on a Friday night.

I heard a lot of good things about this place but overall thought it was just ok. We came during lunch and they have lunch specials which is priced pretty reasonably. The place was big and the server seems nice. It can get loud if it gets busy. Plenty of parking. We ordered: - shredded pork with dried bean curd - the entree was pretty salty so you definitely need the rice to help. The dish was just ok though - hand shaved noodle with chicken - pretty bland, I had to dip these in the other dish to get some flavoring. The noodles were also very doughy, so didn't really taste like noodles. Overall, it was ok. Portions was good for the price during lunch.

The food and service at tasty house is so good! I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of seating and the clean environment as well, I'll definitely be back next time I'm in the area.

We've been coming to this establishment for 15+ years (back when it was still called szechuan chef). And we order this dish every time. We also try it at other restaurants in the area too! I know there are supposed to be a lot of peppers in this dish, but the ratio is getting out of control! This was $25 and the vast majority of it was comprised of these peppers. After we picked out all of the chicken, it looked like the same volume of food! The seasoning is also very inconsistent. Sometimes it's more spicy, sometimes it's more numbing, sometimes it's very salty. (picture is after we ate the chicken i forgot to take one before)

Tasty House has really delicious sichuan food! Everything we got was really flavorful and spicy. The eggplant dish was my favorite. The server grinded the eggplant and peppers before serving to us which blends in the flavors and makes it super tasty. The chicken was also really yummy! They were a bit crispy and have a lot of peppers in it so it was pretty spicy but still enjoyable to eat. Service was quick! Not many people were there and the server was the one to give us these amazing recommendations!

I recently discovered this place and it's my new favorite place for Szechuan food! Everything we got was a 10/10! I would recommend everything I got which is the spicy twice cooked fish slice, dry pot beef brisket in spicy sauce, fatty beef slices with Szechuan pepper. The service was great, and there are lots of tables inside to accommodate during busy dining hours so the wait wasn't too bad either.

Tasty House is a new addition to the East Side, specializing in Sichuan cuisine. My partner and I went on a weekday after work and we were seated immediately. Service was so great! The food came out quickly. There were peanuts on a dish, but when I mentioned that I had an allergy, they remade it immediately with no fuss. I also thought the portion sizes were amazing for the price. - Jelly Noodles: 4/5, could have been spicier. I like the texture a lot! - Boiled Fish: 5/5 - Twice Cooked Pork: 5/5 - Salt and Pepper Tofu: 3/5, just not super flavorful. I would recommend just sticking to Sichuan style food. The Sichuan dishes we got were so flavorful.

Best Szechuan restaurant around Bellevue area. Very authentic flavor just like China, always stop by when we are around. Big portion too.

This restaurant is farily new in the area but the decoration is nice and quite spacious inside. Service is quick and foods come just fast. In terms of flavor,all the dishes are hearty,bold in flavor and quite savory. We really enjoy the food here and would recommend to have white rice with their hot dishes.

The egg plant is amazing a must order. Portion size of egg plant is amazing. I think charging for rice is a bit much. The dry pot portion size is so so. Could use a bit more meat. Alot of tripe though.

The location is great, and the food is authentic home-style cooking. The price per person is mid-range, and the portions are generous. Overall, the value for money is excellent. The staff serve dishes quickly, too. A great spot for gatherings with friends. Nice nice nice nice nice!

3rd time here and everything we tried was delicious. Will , our host and server is friendly and helpful in answering my questions. We are not spicer eaters so they were able to accomodate us. Food is fresh, service is fast. This was the old schezuan chef restaurant. There is a new owner and remodeled . They now have dining private dining rooms for bigger groups. I was told that they are known for their soups. i will have to try it someday with diners who can handle some spicy kick to their palate

Tasty House is another addition to the numerous Szechuan restaurants in the Eastside area, and I was interested in trying the place and seeing how it stacks up to the competition! We went on a Friday around 6pm and had no wait to get seated for a party of 3. This restaurant is located in a large shopping plaza with many other shops and studios, and fortunately there are many parking spots that open near the restaurant that are about a brief walk away. The interior of the restaurant is pretty open - there are plenty of tables and seats and windows at the front for potential diners to observe. The menu is physical and you can order through talking to your server. Food is served fast - we got everything after 10 minutes of waiting. We tried a couple of dishes, which I'll review down below: Seafood Tofu Pot ($27): A good amount of fish and tofu throughout. The tofu is chunky and the fish is soft, though the texture between the two are very similar. There is mushroom and shrimp throughout the dish which provide a different chewy texture that makes the dish not too uniform, which is nice. The sauce is very light in terms of flavor - I know usually seafood tofu pots have a nice subtle flavor of aromatics and chinese flavorings, but it was pretty one-dimensional in terms of flavor with only a bit a savory to make the dish just come together. Mao's Pork Belly ($23): The pork belly was tender and simmered well, decent chew and well covered in the sauce. The sauce tastes like your standard braised Chinese pork belly, with hints of aromatics like cinnamon stick and some star anise. The flavor is a bit light, it is similar to the Seafood tofu pot - you could eat this whole dish without rice and be alright, which is OK, but I personally would like it more flavorful. Assorted Dry Pot ($29): I thought the dry pot was alright, it wasn't my favorite of the three dishes we ordered. There is a decent variety in the assorted dry pot - from woodear, cauliflower, pork, and others. I thought this dish suffers from the same thing as the other two dishes we ordered - it does get one dimensional really quick, with the only flavor being spicy and salty. I was hoping for some smokiness and some standard peppercorn flavor, but unfortunately I didn't get any. Personally, I feel that most of the dishes served were underwhelming - they aren't as well spiced as the many other competing Szechuan restaurants on the Eastside. There is also a missing smoky wok hei that separates solid Szechuan restaurants from a standard restaurants - it gives more "dish you would cook at home" rather than a restaurant quality dish. Which is not a bad thing, but it misses what I'm personally looking for when I go out to eat. I do think that these dishes do lean on the pricier side for the quantity and quality of the food. Though I'm glad that there are more Szechuan restaurants to pick from on the Eastside, I'm not sure I would come back to Tasty House as there are many other Szechuan restaurants that fit more what I'm looking for.

Was rejected from another restaurant because we weren't all over 21 and so we came right about closing. Their last call was at 8:30pm and we came in at 8:20pm. Still got our order in though. Really wanted their stir fried clams but they didn't have it. We got their szechuan chicken in chili oil sauce and it was alright, but really oily. They also really propped it up with bean sprouts so there wasn't that much. Their sweet and sour pork was really like stiff. I don't know why we got A choy because we usually get pea leaves. They were kind of bitter. We also got this tofu but there was fish in it. I've never had this combination. I want to say the only highlight was the stir-fried pork. The spice was just enough and I was worried that I wasn't going to have enough rice. Ok but the real turn off was the customers there. Their party rooms have no roofs. Like the wall isn't completely sealed to the top. And the people there were so loud, screaming and yelling at the top of their lungs. Absolutely no consideration for anyone else there. The worse part is, I think these people are friends with the manager here and so the manager was also in on it, did nothing to keep their noise down. Everytime they came out of the room, they would slam the door behind them. I thought this was just a drunk man thing but the women were doing it too. Like their manners are so bad. I think just for that sole reason, I'm never coming back.

One of if not the best Szechuan restaurants in the area. All the dishes we had thus far have been outstanding. The right amount of heat and spiciness. My favorite is the beef and taro with sichuan peppers but the fish with preserved vegetables is also a hit along with the Ching Qing chicken. The service is fast and prompt and helpful with suggestions if you need them. The space itself is inviting with wood tones. It does get busy so you can make reservations or join waitlist via Yelp.

In addition, the service staff is very friendly and supportive and help us pick up the best food we need for the lunch. This restaurant is actually the must-try one for all working class people.

This place just opened in August according to our waiter. Food is very tasty, but on the pricey side. To be fair, the portion is big for the price. And be warned, the dishes here can be pretty spicy , even for someone who enjoys Sichuan food on a regular basis. Every time I see the preserved egg with fried eggplant and pepper 擂辣椒茄子皮蛋, I have to try it - this one is 4/5, not super flavor, portion is generous. We also tried the Sichuan pepper beef 藤椒肥牛 (4/5, more numbing than spicy, decent amount of thinly sliced beef) and pepper stirfried liver 农家土匪猪肝 (super spicy, the liver is a bit gamey, but very tender). Service is good, they will help pack up the leftover. If you write a review, you can get a free drink (they only had winter melon tea available).

This restaurant is surprisingly good. Lots of spicy options but you can request them as non-spicy as it was the case with our pork. The pork dish was extremely savory, so delicious even my four-year-old daughter liked it. It came with big broccoli which I loved. The fried rice was just as good, my daughter had seconds. The Sichuan Beef was spicy but edible. Service is friendly. Ambiance was family-friendly, restrooms were clean. If you sit against the wall there are lots of power outlets to charge your phone or laptop.

Amazing, authentic Szechuan food. They have the best Mapo tofu. I also recommend the Chong Qing Hot Chicken with bone option is better than boneless because it has an extra added sweetness. But boneless is still really good! And end the meal with the iced jelly dessert. It's super refreshing! Service is really nice and the food literally comes out so quick and hot! Definitely worth checking out!

Great neighborhood spot for Szechuan food. From the outside it looked unassuming, but the inside space was sleek and comfortable. Servers were welcoming and efficient. Ordered fish fillet with Szechuan pepper and dry pot pork intestine. Both were delicious; the dry pot pork intestine definitely had a kick. I liked that the dry pot had many other things in the dish like cauliflower, grilled onions, and lotus root. Ample parking in the plaza. Will be back!

We ordered Szechuan fish, chongqing chicken and black fungus cold dish. All the dishes have authentic tastes and not too spicy that there is still good flavors behind the spice. Will definitely come back again. The restaurant is also very clean with good service.

The flavors of the dishes continue to not let me down. Second time here and got the same things like the assorted dry mix (still very delicious). This time I tried the eggplant with the preserved egg and it is very good. It's in a unique mortar and pestle bowl, which is insta-worthy. I highly recommend giving it a try!

Hot and Sour Soup was unusually dark and very sour for my taste, not a fan. Eggplant was super delicious with a flavorful and savory sauce. Chow Mein was ok, I would rather make it at home. Chong Qing Chicken had nice texture and was super (pleasantly) spicy! Overall, I found the food to be decent. I would consider coming back to give it another try, but the main thing that impressed me was their high quality tea.

Lots of parking, space is a bit smaller than the Szechuan place here before since they blocked off some the big table area with a wall white. Prices are pretty good for the portion sizes. The eggplant/century egg was my favorite dish. Their veggies are super fresh and perfectly seasoned. We got the beef with taro and I didn't love the flavor of the sauce (green peppers and reminded me to salsa verde lol) but the beef was super soft! I want to come back to try the spicy gravy beef or fish (they use the same beef). Service is fast and they're not super busy on a Monday night! They charge for rice per bowl. We got 3 dishes, 4 bowls of rice and we paid $85ish without tip. We got free dessert!

We ordered takeout over the phone and the order was ready in 15-20 minutes. We got five dishes - stir fried shredded potatoes, eggplant in garlic sauce, stir fried green beans, chong qing hot chicken (boneless), and assorted dry pot. Everything was delicious and what I expect from a Szechuan restaurant, flavorful and sufficiently spicy. I will say, I wish they made some of my old faves from Szechuan Chef (specifically their eggplant dishes). The ambiance of the restaurant, which I experienced during pickup, was nice and inviting. The new restaurant has a modern touch that looks like a good place to eat out with friends or family. Overall, Tasty House delivers on flavor and authenticity, making it a worthy contender for the Szechuan scene in Bellevue. And, be prepared to spend a bit more than you might be used to.

The food was divine. Service was super quick you order over the phone but the servers are always around if you have questions. Ambiance is nice, family restaurant vibes. Would recommend!

No wait time, ample parking, food was fire !!!!!! The service was so fast and the food tasted delish and one of my favorite Szechuan restaurants!! Such a treat and everything is fairly priced as well! Ambiance is chill and casual!

Price ranges from $9-$25-$35 Lunch and dinner and chef special menus l. They also have a full bar selection. Ordered lunch menu spiciest fried chicken chili's dish! $14. WHOA. Fire .numbing Soicy! I'm sure I'm going to burn two ways! lol I'm a fan of schezwan hot cooking. There are mild dishes too. I asked for sweet sour sauce on side just to give another level of umami's flavors. I don't live near here, but if ever close by I will come back again. I'm a FaN!!!

My new favorite Sichuan spot in Bellevue! My family and I ordered the Chongqing hot chicken, eggplant with preserved eggs, fish with Sichuan peppercorn, cold jelly noodles, and hot and sour soup. My absolute favorites here were the Chongqing chicken and the eggplant. The fish was also super solid! Hot and sour soup had a bit more mala taste to it which I liked! Busy spot but wait was not too long.

We came here for dinner to try it out for the first time. The food was quite tasty and really full of flavor. We got a fish dish, the green beans, and a pork dish that had five spice level markers. The pork dish was my favorite! Looking forward to trying more dishes next time we visit.

This is the most tender beef dish with a kick. Great for cold weather of Seattle, especially with rice. would give it 4.5 out of 5. Very flavorful :) Servers are very nice

Unfortunately it took us 45 minutes to get our food which just seems unnecessarily long. However, the vegetable chowmein, fried fish, and chicken tasted amazing! The flavors were perfect! They also serve complementary tea. Definitely recommend, and we will be coming back!
