Absolutely Delicious and Family-Friendly! Our family went to Tasty Chinese for lunch and had an incredible experience. We ordered the Peking duck, pork belly, and beef wide flat noodles — everything was amazing! My kids (ages 9, 7, and 2) loved it too, which says a lot. Our waiter Ingra and the manager Sunshine were so friendly and kind — they made us feel like family. The food was authentic, flavorful, and beautifully served. This is definitely one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in a long time. Highly recommend for anyone looking for genuine Chinese cuisine and great service!

Tasty Modern Asian Kitchen in San Antonio is a great spot for fresh, Cantonese-style dishes and quality dim sum. The food is clean, flavorful, and not overly heavy, with standouts like shrimp dumplings, roast pork belly, and pan-fried noodles. The space is modern and comfortable, and service is consistently friendly. Dim sum is served only until mid-afternoon, but everything is well-executed. Overall, it’s one of the better Asian dining options in the city — tasty, reliable, and worth the visit.

My friend and I came here for lunch, and the food was absolutely delicious — full of authentic flavors! A big thank-you to the wonderful manager, Ms. Sunshine, who made our dining experience even better. She was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable, and gave us perfect recommendations based on our preferences and what we liked. We tried the pea shoot leaves, roasted duck, spicy soup, and egg tarts — every dish was outstanding and full of flavor. I’ll definitely be coming back, not only for the amazing food but also for the warm hospitality from Ms. Sunshine.

The food was amazing, at great prices. I can’t remember her name but she mentioned she’s the training manager and she was very attentive and helpful, gave us great recommendations based on what we liked and even showed us how to make our bun-tacos with the duck meat. Great experience over all.

Tasty Modern Asian Kitchen is hands-down one of the best places to eat in San Antonio. The food is incredibly fresh and flavorful — every dish is crafted with care and presented beautifully. Whether you’re craving noodles, rice bowls, or small plates, everything on the menu hits the spot. What really stood out to me was the service. Cristy, our server, was welcoming, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. She gave great suggestions and made the whole experience feel personal and enjoyable. Allen, the manager, also came by to check on us — you can tell he genuinely cares about customer satisfaction and runs a tight, professional operation. Highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for delicious Asian fusion with top-notch service. Will definitely be coming back!

From the time you drive up you will notice the updated exterior. Beautifully done. Even the lighting. And then you walk in and it's just as beautiful. If not more. Opulent comes to mind. Great lighting. From the greeting at the door. You knew this was going to be a friendly place. Our waitress, I think her name was Michelle, was fantastic. Super friendly. She led us through the encyclopedia of menu LOL. If you can't find something you want to eat in this multi-page menu you might not be hungry. Looking forward to trying the dim sum- that looked really great. We got food greedy and ordered multiple appetizers. They were all fantastic. Fresh ingredients. A true delight for your taste buds. Unfortunately we ordered dinner and weren't able to eat it LOL. To go worked. I'm already making plans to go back with or without this particular friend, but everybody needs to taste those appetizers! And enjoy that fantastic service!

Google
We found our new favorite dim sum in San Antonio Tasty Modern Asian Kitchen. The decor was light, elegant, and welcoming. Food was FRESH & hot! Dishes were served as soon as they were ready. We enjoyed the: -BBQ pork steam buns - meat was tender and the bun had the perfect amount of sweetness to it -Pork Siu Mai - flavor on flavor! This was the best pork Siu Mai I've ever had. -Soup dumplings - hot, fresh, flavorful perfection. -Peking duck - if anyone has ever had better Peking duck in the state I'd like to know where because the skin was crispy and meat was juicy, tender, and flavorful. -Yangzhou fried rice was more protein (shrimp & pork) than rice and this is NOT a complaint. We will be back very soon 😉

Google
This restaurant has a great variety of amazing Asian food. We started with crab rangoons and steamed dumplings, which were both very good. They came out so fast and hot. The smaller Dim Sum portions were perfect, so we could try multiple types. The BBQ pork pastries were very nice, but the pineapple lava buns were amazing. For the main course, we shared a half Peking duck, which came with some very nice steamed buns on the side. The skin was perfectly crisp, and the meat was juicy. We also had the honey glazed walnut prawns plate and the Golden Shrimp Balls plate. One with white rice, one with fried. Both were just excellent. The flavor and freshness were off the chart. The service was outstanding. But be fair warned, our waiter let us know that there were some big changes coming to the menu. But I do hope they will still have some of my new favorites when I go back, lol.

Yelp
Really good food with big portions. And the customer service was great...thank you Sunny!

Yelp
So happy to see something fantastic finally take over this space -- it's truly prime real estate right off I-10, and this restaurant is making the most of it! Let's start with the atmosphere: the space is enormous and beautifully designed, offering something for everyone -- cozy romantic corners, casual dining areas, and lively spots perfect for drinks with friends. The energy was great without being overwhelming. Service deserves a major shout-out. The manager was exceptional -- attentive, personable, and clearly leading by example. He checked in multiple times, even jumped in to help with refills. Love seeing that kind of leadership and teamwork in action! Food-wise, the Peking Duck is clearly the headliner (and I'll definitely be back for it), but today's lineup started strong with the BBQ pastry -- flaky, sweet, and perfectly crisp. Absolutely addictive. Next up was the cheesy corn bun, which completely surprised me in the best way. It's a warm, steamed bun with a lightly sweet dough and creamy corn custard filling -- unique, comforting, and delicious. I also tried the Beef Lo Mein -- solid, but not the standout compared to everything else we sampled. Next visit will definitely focus more on the dim sum and that famous duck! All in all, this spot delivers on atmosphere, service, and food -- a welcome and long-awaited addition to the area. Can't wait to come back!

Yelp
I found this place by accident. I was getting off the hwy and saw this big red sign ..... Dim Sum & Roast ducks. The host was friendly. The food was good, however, the portion was small 4 the price. $7 each dim sum dish. The egg tarts were a little bigger than a quarter. The turnip cake was about 1.5in x 1in. The display egg tart was almost the size of a silver dillar. Both were a single bite and is gone. The duck was good, but the price is on the high side, almost $30 inc tax 4 1/2 a duck. Over all, the food is good, the price is debatable, if the portion increase a little will be good ....

Yelp
Cantonese cuisine with an extensive menu! This was a nice surprise! They offer both dim sum and dinner, which allows for a variety of options. This establishment is clean and modern and the service was great! The manager was informative and helpful. I hope this remains in San Antonio.

Yelp
A well-deserved shoutout to Tasty Modern Asian Kitchen This review has been long overdue--photos have been sitting in my phone for quite a while now, but I just couldn't let this visit go undocumented. Although I failed to snap a lot of pictures because I can't stop eating, 'twas just yummy. Credit is lost definitely due. We came here to celebrate a special occasion--my aunt and uncle's anniversary--and once again, Tasty did not disappoint. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted by manager Allan, whose signature smile and gracious hospitality always set the tone for a pleasant dining experience.we were seated promptly and were truly lucky to be served by the lovely Kaylin. She was everything you'd hope for in a server--perky, incredibly attentive, genuinely warm, and completely professional. Her thoughtful service added an elegant xtra layer of joy to our celebration. As for the food...we went all out for this lunch feast: shrimp rice noodle rolls, crispy shrimp balls, Beijing roast Duck, ginger & scallion beef tripe, lotus leaf sticky rice with chicken, seafood pan-fried noodles, crispy fried whole flounder, crispy fried squid, combination plate, shrimp fried chicken rice, crispy fried chicken, whew Everything was freshly prepared, well-executed and impressively flavorful--without being overly salty. We had a lot food and still a lot of to-go bags. We can't stop saying "terima kasih" or better yet "terima kasih banyan" Kaylin.

Yelp
Came with my family and service here was great! The staff is friendly and food comes out swiftly. Got several things off the menu including the hot and sour soup, mapo tofu, salt & pepper squid, walnut shrimp, green beans, shrimp fish and crab meat over tofu, black pepper mixed mushroom beef, and some dim sum. The highlight of our meal was definitely the seafood over tofu in my opinion. The tofu was soft, creamy, and paired well with the savory sauce of the dish. The mapo tofu in my opinion could have used a little more mala. Otherwise the meal was good and the portion sizes are great.

Yelp
Can't give all five because I didn't get to try all the things. Went in for lunch around noon. It wasn't too crowded, but it started picking up and there's so much space inside! It's set up really nicely and service was friendly. Ordered duck egg rolls to start. They brought us some crepe looking things. Wrong. They took them away and then brought the egg rolls. (Kind of wish they would've left them so we could've tried whatever they were! IJS) They were not my fav, but they weren't terrible. Lunch specials come with soup and egg roll. Ordered chicken broccoli, which comes with brown sauce! This is the way I'd order it and I LOVE that it's already done right here. Other dish was Szechuan shrimp. It was spicy and so tasty!! Definitely would order that again. What I do want to come back for, that I saw on other tables and read about in reviews, is the Peking duck!! I will be back for that!

Yelp
The food here is delicious, with generous portion sizes that make it well worth the visit. The restaurant itself is spacious with plenty of seating, thoughtfully divided into two sections, creating a comfortable and social atmosphere which makes it perfect for hanging out with friends. The staff is friendly and attentive, adding to the overall pleasant dining experience. The dim sum selection is also solid, offering a nice variety of options. I tried the Peking Duck and was pleasantly surprised. It's been a while since I've had a good one. It's great to see a spot in San Antonio finally serving decent Peking Duck, along with authentic Cantonese-style roasted duck and Char Siu. I'll definitely be coming back to try those next!

Yelp
I ate here for the first time, and it instantly became my favorite Chinese restaurant in San Antonio. The flavors and quality reminded me of my go to spot in San Francisco's Chinatown... which says a lot. I'm genuinely thrilled that we have something this special right here in SA. We were greeted as soon as we walked in, and surprisingly, the place wasn't busy. Honestly? That won't last long. A spot this good deserves to be packed, so here I am, putting you on. The ambiance hits that sweet spot... modern and clean, but still casual. Think date night approved but totally jeans acceptable. Stylish without being stuffy. What we ordered: Scallion Duck Rolls Macau Roast Pork Belly Shredded Roast Duck Fried Rice Sweet and Sour Pork The scallion duck rolls? Speechless. I could've eaten a whole plate by myself. Everything came out family style, which I love because I get to taste a bit of everything. The service was great too...our server was kind and attentive without hovering. I'll definitely be back for the fresh lobster. This spot is a gem, and I'm not gatekeeping.

Yelp
I was craving dim sum and have been wanting to try this place. From my experience, a lot of things were hit or miss. The standouts were the shumai and the pineapple buns. The biggest miss was the pan fried turnip cakes. The rest of the dim sum was pretty tasty (fried shrimp balls were pretty good). The BBQ pork was pretty tasty, but the portion size was kind of small for the price. I think this place is more of a 3.5. I was disappointed that I didn't enjoy some of the dim sum staples. I will say that the decor and service were great. I think this place is worth a try!

Yelp
I was so excited about a new dim sum place opening up in town. The restaurant itself was very clean and nicely renovated. The flavor wasn't bad for most of the dishes but they are a little on the expensive side for dimsum. The service does leave something to be desired though. People brought out the wrong food to our table multiple times but didn't know what we were saying in English when we tried to ask about our food. I ordered to go once too and the cashier charged me for the wrong order. Hopefully things get better once they work out the kinks of a new business
google avatar

Yelp
Service was awesome. The place was very clean and bright. All dishes were tasty except for the egg tart. A little disappointed with how much meat I got for the pork belly. Also I am not sure why they didnt do the standard cart dim sum. But that's not really a problem I will definitely be back
google avatar

Yelp
Stopped in for lunch. Greeted by a super friendly staff Nice having more dim sum options here in town.

Yelp
We've seen a few posts about this new restaurant and visited for lunch today. @tastymodernasian is located where the previous 210 Ceviche was. The renovation was done very well. Although they do not have the rolling carts, dimsum is on the menu. Everything was fast, fresh and tasty! We started with the Crab and Fish Maw Soup. Plenty of fish maw but not too much crab. We only ordered 2 dimsum items: BBQ Pork Pastries (cha siu so) and the Shrimp Rice Noodle Rolls. The Shrimp were jumbo, fresh and best in town! The Beef Flat Rice Noodle was fantastic. The beef was very tender. Pork Belly was another great dish. We tried their Peking Duck and it was very flavorful. They come with buns instead of pancakes, which my husband prefers. The duck is like the ones in Houston! It's so nice that there are more and more authentic Chinese restaurants in town. Put this on your bucket list. We didn't even get to try the soup dumplings. That will be for the next visit.

Yelp
My family and i enjoyed our experience. The food, staff was all great. Dim sum made to order, we enjoyed our food. The atmosphere was welcoming and we will be coming back

Yelp
Ate at noon on a Monday, easily seated for a party of 4. Ordered mainly dimsum plus the chicken teriyaki lunch special. Glad they had dimsum to offer, what took out one star was the lack of attentiveness in the service. They started serving food but it was hard for us to stop and ask for silverware and small plates; and do extra orders because the people bringing out the food were different from our actual server. Felt rushed in a sense when there were more tables available anyway. Otherwise, would come back still when craving for dimsum. My son enjoyed the chicken teriyaki lunch special special, 9.99 with an egg roll and soup. Pretty good deal!

Yelp
No wait time. Seated quickly. Had an amazing server, Aaron who did a great job describing menu items, and we ended up ordering some very interesting dishes. The Macau Roast Pork Belly was phenomenal! The sugar added a unique taste. OMG! The Black Fungus & Cucumber Salad was amazing. Our Dim Sum selections, of Lotus Leaf Sticky Rice with Chicken ordered a variety of flavors that were so savory. The Chicken Pan-Fried Buns were crispy and delicious. The Garlic Stir Fried Bok Choy was earthy and seasoned perfectly. The Coconut Osmanthus Cakes were absolutely amazing! Definitely be back for more! The decor was simply yet elegant.

Yelp
Food was really good but a couple items were different tasting. The BbQ pork boa was different, the soy sauce for the shrimp rice role tasted like they had some licorice spice to it. Didn't like either of them The steamed beancurd rolls were excellent and you get three instead of usual 2. Beef chow fun was good too, fresh rice noodles, not like the pad Thai dried ones A few other items were also good Service excellent Wish they gave us knives. The forks are the heaviest I've ever had in any restaurant Hot and fresh this place along with the modern decor will make it. Good place to bring a date guys! Love how the manager came by and asked for our honest opinions. I'm always honest! Worth trying

Yelp
We were greeted immediately and seated. The server was really nice but seemed to rush us when we were trying to decide (mind you it's not a small menu) but then disappeared for a bit after we ordered. We had to keep trying to flag her down. Our food was brought out right away but in sprints by other people. The Peking duck was excellent! Not too oily, cooked perfectly and had a good flavor. You have the option of crepes or buns. I chose the crepes because it's lighter and just tastes good. I asked for more but she said it's $6.99 for 6 more because it already comes with 6, I opted out. The beef rice rolls on the dim sum menu was quite different from all the other places I've tried it at. The ground beef was a bit mushy like a half cooked meatloaf or like there was fillers in there. The rice noodles were very thick as well. I wasn't a fan of that. We also got the soup dumplings, the meat to juice to dumpling ratio was really off. There was entirely too much meat inside, it was not soupy at all, overall if was dry, hard pass. The chicken lomein was flavorful but extremely oily, like it was drenched in oil after being plated, almost inedible. We took it home and soaked it on some paper towels. The sautéed green beans (we ordered without the meat) was perfect, garlicky, so savory and a nice crunch. Now.... My biggest issue was the amount of gnats flying around. It was insane and equally annoying. I kept looking. Around to see if it was just out table but I can see them flying around everything, nothing worse than having to keep swatting bugs while you eat. The server apologized, but this issue needs to be addressed. We couldn't take it anymore, we packed up and left. I'll give it another try in the future for some Peking duck and green beans again. And I'll try something else as well.

Yelp
I decided to go back and give this place a chance after dining and getting a fly in our food I believe it has been a month since my last visit and the place is more infested with flies. I mentioned that to a manager, he snapped at me saying they are addressing the problem with pointing at just one light trap in the restaurant! Now I am starting to question the sanitation in this establishment. While the food taste is just ok... also since it is one of the couple options we have in town for dim sum... I wanted badly to like it and find excuses to come back. Now I am left with none! I can confirm this time I will never be back

Yelp
10 out of 5 for us! I cannot say enough about how excellent this restaurant is: the food is outstanding! Every dish we had was perfectly cooked and seasoned for optimum deliciousness. Everything is freshly prepared and piping hot. The service is excellent (and they are well staffed--it makes all the difference). The decor is gorgeous and meets a lovely Asian aesthetic. The manager made his rounds and checked on the people dining. They have amazing dim sum and a huge menu of items to choose from. Before going here, we thought our favorite Asian restaurants were in Houston. Austin has some pretty good Asian restaurants. Now, San Antonio has this AMAZING restaurant; which I can say has some of the best Asian food I've had in a very, very long time. There is something for everyone. No MSG Only two minor things: 1. I wish they had Asian or classical music; but, I can live with it. 2. The name Tasty doesn't express it strongly enough; it's DELICIOUS Modern Asian Kitchen! We look forward to our next trip! Pictures next time; but, there are plenty photos on Yelp and they do not lie!
google avatar

Yelp
Pretty legit dim sum place. Not the largest dim sum menu but what they had was a good selection. Green bean dish was great, and other items I think will be worth the try next time.

Yelp
Food and Service we're excellent! Most authentic Chinese restaurant in San Antonio. Roasted Duck was very tasty! Excellent selection and yummy Dim Sum dishes! Our wait person, Sunshine provide prompt and excellent service! Highly Recommended!

Yelp
I was so excited to finally have dim sum in San Antonio but was very disappointed. Just a note, dim sum is only served during lunch and ends at 3:00pm. My friends and I ordered the classic dim sum dishes and only enjoyed 2-3 of them. Some major notes: *Beef Tripe: This wasn't prepared well and had an odd after taste that was too gamey. *Soup Dumplings: The wrappers soaked all of the soup up and came out soggy, making them break apart. Please don't get this unless you want to be severely disappointed, they looked better in the pictures. *Crystal Shrimp & Chive Dumplings: The shrimp was so big that this was my favorite thing here. *Fried Shrimp & Pork Puffs were also pretty good. *Shrimp Rice Noodle Rolls: I think the shrimp dishes here were the best. *Pork & Shrimp Xiu Mai: This was okay, you can't really mess this up. *Beef + *BBQ Pork Rice Noodles Rolls: There wasn't really much flavor here, I would pass on these next time. Now service could definitely be improved on ... For some reason, my table received double of everything and none of the servers were of much help. At one point we had 6 containers of dumplings on our table and when we brought it up to a waitress, she did not care enough to deal with it and told us to just keep them. It got ridiculous when we started receiving up to 4-6 of everything and were concerned if we'd be charged for any of it. I also noticed the manager went to greet every other table around us except for ours, even though he was aware of our situation. Our server had to handle it herself despite bringing it up to her manager multiple times. The restaurant itself looked very nice and clean, there was marble everywhere and plenty of seating. I'm not sure if something went wrong with their system considering we went on their 2nd day open, but I hope it improves soon as they had so much potential.

Yelp
Service was so sweet from the moment we walked in. They remembered us from our first visit. We will definitely come back to try more of their food!

Yelp
Never been to this place before but went for lunch today. Upon entering the restaurant I smelled the pungent odor of floor cleaner or something like pinesol, and it was VERY strong. I tend to walk out the door when an odor is that strong and I am about to eat something and pay for a nice meal because the smell overpowers the food. We decided to sit down and give it a try, but it was VERY cold in there and they sat us under a vent, and my girlfriend was cold so I asked them to move us to a booth. The booth was soaking wet after being cleaned but theere were so many other places to sit I don't know why they put us there. We ordered the lunch specials of sweet & sour chicken and broccoli beef. The Sweet and sour chicken was hot but it was overcooked and VERY hard. The hot and sour soup I got with it was extremely salty and I could not eat it. My girlfriend had the broccoli beef and the vegetables were way overcooked and the beef was slimy. I tried to pay and told the server we had to leave to get back to work and she placed our check on the table. 15 minutes passed and still nobody came to pick up the check so we could leave. I stood up and FOUND the person and told her that we had to leave to get back to work but she said it had "slipped her mind". Needless to say, we will not be returning. Good luck with your business, Tasty.

Yelp
The food was just spectacularly delicious. The duck was crispy, flavored. The soup can feed 4 people, was smooth, tasty. The restaurant is new, well decorated. This dessert was so interesting with coconut. Do not sleep on this restaurant.
google avatar

Dondrea S.

Yelp
We tried the black bean chicken, crab rangoons and soup dumplings. All of our food was very tasty. The chicken was so tender. The customer service was great! I absolutely appreciate the menu. There was a picture with every menu item! Sunshine & Andy we'll be back! Oh and the decor was pretty neat to look at too.

Yelp
I'm glad they now serve dim all day. When they first opened, we went as a family, to try their dim sum menu in the evening and they were only serving it for lunch. Now they serve it all day. I've eaten here twice and everything I ate good. I had to be careful in my choices because I don't like sweet sauces that Chinese foods tend to have. My favorite thing was the eggplant on the dim sum menu. I enjoyed the textures and flavors of everything we tried from the dim sum menu. My mom and I shared chicken lettuce wraps from the appetizer menu. They were OK but I wish they had a better sauce. It was sweet, and if I was to order again, I would ask for a savory/spicy sauce. The restaurant has spacious booths and it's pretty inside. They staff are kind and accommodating. I will definitely return.

Yelp
Tasty Modern Asian Kitchen has really stepped up its game with their dim sum menu! If you're a fan of dim sum/need your fix, this place is definitely worth a suit. The shrimp dumplings, pork buns, and so mai were some notable dishes - bursting with flavor in every bite. The dim sum here is perfect for sharing with friends or family, making it a great option for a relaxed lunch or dinner. You're in San Antonio.. if you have the dim sum expectations from Dallas or Houston... lower them. It is not the most mind blowing place for dim sum, but it definitely satisfies the craving. If you're a dim sum lover or just looking to try something different, Tasty's dim sum menu is worth checking out.

Yelp
Place looks amazing. Beautiful decor and huge space. Service was above standard. Our waitress, Christy, went out of her way to serve us and did a spectacular job. The food as good, but it didn't catch up to our favorite spot. Portions were on the smaller side, but it was the lunch menu. Their chili oil was amazing and I love how they serve the plates. Overall, worth the visit for us.
google avatar

Senor E.

Yelp
Definitely ask for the chili oil, the best part. I was also pleasantly surprised by the personal hot & sour soup bowl. I highly suggest it.

Gina T.

Yelp
Our go-to place to get Dim Sum & roast duck! The servers are so helpful and very engaging. The restaurant is massive and has tons of seating.
google avatar

Daryl B.

Yelp
I gave it a second try fried rice is still way too oily. I got the dim sum, baked pork pastries. They were good but cold almost in the middle. Need to be warmed up more. The place has potential they have a really good selection of food. They just need to tune it up a little bit.

Michael F.

Yelp
Dim sum is 4.5/5 but food is 2.5/5. BBQ pork with "secret recipe" must be missing flavor. Was meh. Bok choy was too soupy, duck fried rice was also bland.
google avatar

Tyler J.

Yelp
This could have been a 5 star! This restaurant is new and still working on training staff. The staff are all very nice but still learning the menu. My waitress was very nice and handled my disappointment (no dim sum) very well. - 1 star The shrimp fried dumplings are fried shrimp Wong tongs. See photo -1 star The website does not say dim sum for lunch only. If you go to the online ordering, then it will not allow you to order dim sum after 3 PM. + 1 star The restaurant is set up very nicely! It looks great! Very clean. My chicken was good and the soup dumplings were just ok. I will be back this weekend to check out the dim sum and possibly update the rating.

Nicole S.

Yelp
The food was VERY good and was out promptly! Services were kind and the ambiance was clean and friendly!! Definitely recommend!

Yelp
My star review will be based on the taste of the food. We had the greatest service and I appreciated the level of attention they gave us. Especially since I constantly kept requesting ginger for my Xio Long Bao. We came to celebrate my son's birthday. We wanted to give this place a try since we love noodles and dumplings. We ordered mostly dim sum but did have 2 dishes off the regular menu. We started with the beef with flat noodles and the Sichuan boiled fish. The flavors were there but the fish they used in the boiled fish dish wasn't something you'd expect. Now for the dim sum: We had 2 orders of the Pork & Shrimp Xiu Mai - loved the size of these Xiu Mai. Very tasty and yummy. Chicken Feet with Bean Sauce - This is an acquired taste and many will think it's gross. However, I enjoyed it immensely. The tenderness and the flavor was pretty good. Steamed BBQ Pork Buns - this is both my husband's and son's favorite. They actually ordered it again. Shanghai Steamed Soup Dumpings (Xio Long Bao) - The soup was light but had flavor. I love this dim sum and was happy that it didn't suck. This is where I eat my ginger mixed with the black vinegar, crispy chili oil, soy sauce, and ginger. Shrimp Rice Noodle Rolls - This was my favorite out of all of them. I could eat just this! Overall the food was good and very tasty. I would recommend if you're new to Dim Sum. A bit pricey, but the size made up for it. *** NOTE - this review is based on my own tastes. Not all taste buds are created equal.

Yelp
I walked in and notice how big and clean the restaurant was. I had food on the Dim Sum menu. Tasty and great service. Definitely coming back!

Yelp
It was very pretty inside with lots of marble and the tables were nice. The waitress was sweet and helpful. Our egg drop soup came and it was kind of sweet because it had corn in it. It was good but unexpected in an egg drop. I ordered the garlic chicken because it said it came with veggies. The sauce was overly sweet like a syrup and the shredded veggies were ok but not as much as the menu made it seem. The diner at the table in front of me ordered the same plate and asked for them to take it back for the same reasons. I tried to leave as much sauce on the plate as possible. Everything else was good. My son really enjoyed his General Tao's plate. I tasted a piece and it was really good.

Yelp
Went for lunch and it was gross. Everything was over done. The fried rice was cooked so long it was almost crunchy again. Got the lunch Lemon Chicken, way over fried. The soup dumplings were good. I was warned this place was not good, had to try it. Won't be back, Mencius is better.

Yelp
We were seated quickly and our server Jeremy E. Was outstanding. This was my nephew and I first time here. I asked for dim sum recommendations and it was a success. Food was terrific and tasty.

Yelp
We were excited to have a new Peking Duck choice in San Antonio. Unfortunately the quest continues. The Duck was okay. A little cold. A bit greasy. Not carved at the table. The worst part was no Hot Mustard. When asked, they brought out regular yellow mustard. Not even close. This was the day after their grand opening, so hopefully they will get it down. Service was spotty. The Chrysanthemum Tea was so full of flowers it would not pour from the teapot. We were excited to order Dim Sum but found that it is only an available before 3pm (not on sign or menu). On the bright side, it is clean and modern. The dry fried green beans were tasty. Lots of meat in there, so vegetarians beware. That's not on the menu either. Hoping that they get it together. Getting some Hot Mustard is a great place to start.

Yelp
A lot of customers need to understand that when reviewing an establishment (especially a newly opened one), you have to consider the fact that it will be rough on the first couple of weeks. But our visit today was amazing. IMO these are the ratings Service: 4.7/5 Food: 4.0/5 Ambiance: 5.0/5 Total: 4.56/5 Definitely coming back because that sweet & sour pork gave me a nostalgic moment when i tasted it.

Yelp
Disclaimer: this review is on my take-out order. I ordered the Yang Chow Fried Rice, Cantonese Roast Duck, and Pork/Shrimp Fried Dumpling. The rice was delicious and duck was juicy with perfectly fatty skin (my favorite). The fried dumpling was a little bit greasy but I didn't mind much; nothing that a little dab on a napkin can't take care of. Also, the pick-up was seamless and the host was very friendly! Overall, I really enjoyed my first time he and I'm excited to come back to try the dine in experience!

Yelp
We tried it. It looks like a Chinese restaurant that you find in China, but unfortunately, the food has no taste and I've had better food in Shanghai and Beijing and other places like China Inn here locally in San Antonio and other places here in San Antonio. Basic things like a teriyaki chicken the way that they prepared it was rubbery and didn't taste like fresh chicken the rice it's not even the type of rice that you use and it had no flavor to it. the fried rice it just looks like it had been soaked in something but it was not tasty as their name states.

Yelp
5/5 every time we come. Tried the salt and pepper lobster $35 for a whole live lobster and as you can see it's didn't stand a chance.
