Where to Find Terrific Polish Food in Chicago

"This family-run Elk Grove Village spot specializes in pierogi and is one of the few places to offer a gluten-free option. Tata’s Pierogi also has a few rarer potato dumpling varieties such as pyzy (a stuffed dumpling often filled with meat similar to knish), kopytka (a flour and mashed potato dumpling), and Silesian dumplings (a potato starch and mashed potato dumpling that’s pleasantly chewy). Tata’s Pierogi also has a built-out takeaway section of reasonably priced pierogi." - Sandy Noto

Wow! Talk about authentic Polish food! The food had great flavor! The atmosphere has a family vibe. The Pierogi...yummy! We were unsure if we were supposed to clean or own tables. That's how much of a family vibe we got. I would recommend it!

Awesome dinning experience. We never had tried Polish food... Food was great as well as atmosphere and service... Very cute little restaurant and not to mention very affordable and huge portions!

It was our first time visiting this place, and you have to go! It's the cutest little spot with amazing food that you won’t want to miss. I tried the "Polish Plate," and it was incredibly delicious. Every component was fresh, and the presentation was beautiful. The flavors were rich and authentic, making it a standout dish. The cozy ambiance of the restaurant left us with the best impressions. It’s warm and inviting, making it a perfect place to enjoy a meal with family or friends. Our server was very sweet and friendly. If you're looking for a charming spot with great food and excellent service, this restaurant is a must-visit.

Food was great service was excellent. They even had a place for us to sit with my pup. The pierogi tasted just like my grandma made and I've been looking for years. Thank you for a fantastic experience!

From the moment I stepped into this charming Polish restaurant, I knew I was in for a treat. The atmosphere was cozy yet modern, adorned with clean and up-to-date decor that immediately set a welcoming tone. The staff, incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about their cuisine, recommended a dish that I ended up loving so much that I returned the very next day. Their passion for Polish food was evident in every detail, from the ingredients to the presentation. During my first visit, I opted for their recommendation, and I was pleasantly surprised by the flavors and textures that danced on my palate. The dish was a perfect introduction to Polish cuisine for someone like me, unfamiliar with its nuances. The following day, I couldn't resist revisiting to explore more of their menu, and I wasn't disappointed. The ambiance was bustling yet intimate, with families dropping by for takeout and others enjoying a cozy dine-in experience. It was clear that this place was a local favorite, cherished for its authentic flavors and warm hospitality. I appreciated the attention to detail in every aspect of the dining experience. From the prompt service to the genuine smiles of the staff, it made my visit truly memorable. If you're looking to explore Polish cuisine in a welcoming environment with fantastic service, I highly recommend giving this place a try.

Google
Fantastic!!! Absolutely delicious! First time here and I got the Polish plate for an assortment. The sauerkraut is out of this world!

Google
This place is the real deal. I'm really confused about the marinara sauce on the cabbage roll though. It was...different. I swear there was oregano in it. But don't focus on that. This place has PIEROGI! The habanero are legit hot, but not uncomfortable. Definitely getting them again. Great kielbasa, nice char. Pictures is the Polish Plate. I had some of the cabbage roll my wife had, it was legitimately good. I just don't know if I've ever seen that kind of tomato sauce on cabbage rolls.

Google
Everything on my plate was amazing. I ate it all. I'm definitely coming back here to try everything else! My only gripe is getting a glass of room temp water with no ice.

Yelp
Off beat and plenty of parking. Dining room very up beat and so was the music. Came early on a Saturday at 3:30. Young lady server was very attentive and informative on explaining the menu.So much to choose from so we got the Polish sampler. Prices are extremely reasonable. So much food on the plate there was no room for dessert. Don't forget to grab some take out for home!!

Yelp
This place is authentic. I must admit, I found the marinara sauce on the cabbage roll a bit perplexing. It had a... different flavor, perhaps some oregano in there? But let's move past that because this place serves PIEROGI! The habanero ones are genuinely spicy, but not overwhelming. I'll definitely be ordering them again. The kielbasa was excellent, with a nice char. You can see it in the Polish Plate picture. I tried some of my wife's cabbage roll, and it was genuinely delicious. I just can't recall ever seeing that type of tomato sauce on cabbage rolls before.

Yelp
Small and locally owned, Tata's Pierogi provides traditional Polish cuisine in a casual and relaxing environment. There are high tops, booths, as well as lounging areas to enjoy your experience here. They are located in an industrial area of EGV with easy parking and are open daily. There are several ways to order - via the kiosk, at the front counter with a staff member or online. My fiance and I dined in here for dinner on a weekday and used the kiosk to place our order. I noticed alcoholic beverages are not offered via the kiosk however this option of ordering is user friendly and convenient. We both ordered the Polish plate which gives you a variety of all the traditional favorites. Service was quick - A staff member brought out our order within 10 minutes. The food was delicious - I'm not very familiar with Polish food however I do know what good food is and Tata's Piergi is it! I really enjoyed the Polish plate as it gave me the option to try different things and at a reasonable price ($15). I left with a full stomach and still had leftovers to take home. Tata's also has a freezer full of pierogis for purchase to take home and cook for later. The options are endless!

Yelp
Pierogis are solid but probably on the oilier side as they were drenched in oil. Location is kind of in the middle of nowhere but the place is spacious and our server was nice. Lots of polish families eat here so you know it's the real deal. They also sell pierogis to go.

Angry P.

Yelp
Pretty good! Tried this place with the husband. They have a bunch of different pierogi's - sweet, filled with cheese, meat, etc. They also sell a bunch of pierogi's to take home. Reasonable menu, I picked the potato pancake which was a polish pancake with goulash inside. Very good, freshly made. reasonable portion. Hubby picked the polish plate - came with Polish sausage, potato pancake, and a number of pierogi's - unfortunately could only pick one type he got the cheese pierogi's with bacon on top. Both plates came with pickles and polish type salad. Good pricing. They have a number of very typical Polish dishes to pick from. Parking is in front and free. Inside there are plenty of tables, and it's pretty cozy an homey. Restaurant is ran by a family. Would definitely try other things on their menu!

Yelp
I recently had the pleasure of trying Polish cuisine for the first time, and my experience was nothing short of delightful. The restaurant, which is family-owned, exudes a cozy ambiance that instantly makes you feel at home. The hospitality was warm and welcoming, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to the overall dining experience. To begin my culinary journey, I opted for two different soups - the mushroom soup and the chicken noodle soup. Both were masterfully crafted, offering rich and distinct flavors that set the stage for the rest of the meal. The mushroom soup had a comforting earthiness, while the chicken noodle soup was a hearty and satisfying choice. Moving on to the pierogi, I indulged in a variety of flavors that showcased the diversity of Polish cuisine. The sauerkraut mushroom pierogi was a standout, with a perfect balance of tanginess from the sauerkraut and the savory goodness of mushrooms. The potato and cheese pierogi were equally delicious, featuring a creamy and flavorful filling encased in perfectly cooked dough. For those craving something beyond traditional pierogi, the kebab was a delightful surprise. Cooked to perfection, the kebab offered a juicy and well-seasoned meat that added a delightful twist to my Polish culinary adventure. As a sweet ending to my meal, I couldn't resist trying the dessert pierogi. The blueberry pierogi was a burst of fruity goodness, with a sweet and tart filling that left me craving for more. The farmer cheese pierogi, on the other hand, provided a rich and creamy indulgence that perfectly concluded my feast. Overall, my first experience with Polish food at this establishment was nothing short of amazing. Every dish was a testament to the culinary expertise of the kitchen, showcasing a careful balance of flavors and textures. The commitment to quality and authenticity shone through in every bite. What truly sets this place apart is not just the delectable food but also the sense of being in a welcoming, family-oriented environment. The cozy ambiance, coupled with the genuine hospitality, made the dining experience memorable and enjoyable. I am already looking forward to my next visit, eager to explore more of the menu and savor the incredible flavors that Polish cuisine has to offer. If you're a fan of delicious food, warm hospitality, and a cozy atmosphere, this restaurant is a definite must-try. I wholeheartedly recommend it and am confident that, like me, you'll be eager to return for another delightful dining experience.

Yelp
Saw one of Yelp reviews about this place that serves Gluten-Free pierogi, so we thought to venture here to try. It is nestled in corner of a strip mall. The decoration and lighting of the restaurant created a cozy vibe. We ordered our food at the counter. Then, the servers brought the foods to our table. There were some condiments on the table. 1) The mushrooms soup is not gluten free as it has elbow pasta. It was comforting, and flavorful. 2) GF pierogi with meat and GF pierogi with sweet cream. The wrapping of the pierogi was just right - not too thick or too thin. I was unsure about the sweet cream, but I could it as a dessert. Come check out this hidden gem!x

Yelp
Located in a small strip center off Devon Ave in Elk Grove,Tatas offers fantastic Polish food at affordable prices in a family friendly environment. As soon as you walk in you are treated like family. They offer indoor and outdoor dining options . Plenty of parking available. You order yourself and the food is brought to your table. The menu offers fantastic explanations of each entree and the food is served hot and fresh. My wife is Gluten free so she had the Silesian dumplings with goulash. The dumplings are made with potatoes starch. Delicious! I had Golabki(Stuffed Cabbage) plate that came with a potatoe pancake,6 pierogi's and a small cabbage salad. Everything was tasty but I would have liked my potatoe pancake a little more crispy. They offer a full selection of imported beers. Pierogi's are available to go including Gluten Free options which is a plus. With so many different food options available,we will be back to try something else ! A real gem in the Northwest suburbs.

Yelp
#83/2023 UHMAZIN Now 7 years since 2016 located in an area where you almost wouldn't recognize it a little tiny strip mall on the corner of the building next to Subway directly in front of a huge Warehouse. This was an unbelievable surprise for me. I had to come up to this area near O'Hare airport to renew my driver's license and as I was coming over it caught my eye at the stoplight I saw pierogi. I cruised into the parking lot took a look at it and then looked it up online and thought what the hell what we got here and boy the reviews were just beyond amazing at how positive and good they are. The interesting thing that really surprised me about this is it is not only polish family-owned from some from the old country but there's a lot of great family recipes that go into the menu. So the only drawback is they only open from 11:00 to 7:00 during the week and they don't open until noon on Sunday. Not 9 10 or 11:00 at night so hopefully I was going to get done early and I did And I decided all right let's go back and check this place out. First thing I noticed to find more inspection I was walking into the entrance was the menu that was etched into the glass on both huge windows. Walking in you'll notice it's very small it's very cozy and quaint but the first thing you see is you look at the booth and they look like a sofa with throw pillows on there welcoming you they also have standard tables also. It wasn't very crowded but during my stay there I didn't notice that a few people walked in there were a lot of to go orders it's very big with the locals especially European immigrants. I looked at the beer selection that was in the cooler and it was mostly polish beer for the most part and not a whole lot of domestic choices. I ordered a Zyweic. They do have alcohol cocktail drinks wine and as far as Pop it's only bottling can Coke products only. Another thing that was a surprise but staying with the times and the changing world is there a lot of gluten free and vegan options including pierogi. They are notated on the menu also for those that choose. So after having looked at the menu which was really interesting a lot of pirogi choices of different styles I decided to go with the Golabki plate. Which consists of a giant stuffed cabbage roll in a tomato sauce. Your choice of six pierogies of one kind. Mixing it up unfortunately. I went with six meat. Now the interesting thing I've noticed in my travels is a Long haul truck driver and eating it European establishments is meat pierogies seem to be more of a Chicago thing. I kind of grew up with my grandma used to cook them she would cook the meat or she would cook potato or the cheese for my mom back in the day. But what I have seen though at many places that offer piano keys meet is kind of not quite always found especially in certain cities a lot have never even heard of them. You can however Pretty much stuff anything inside of dough lol. It also came with potato pancakes at people rave about I have to pass because they have onions in them. Lol. And also was for the salad too nope it was tossed salad what stuff that I don't want in it again those can guess...lol so I passed on all that stuff and simply just had bread extra bread brought out it was fine for me. The food came out in a quite timely manner it was a large stuffed cabbage which really surprised me inside of its own dish the six meat filled pierogi were fantastic. The bread was fresh and good also. So I finished my meal and decided to have a cawfee and thought about some dessert I'd ask for a creme brulee unfortunately they were already sold out. This was about 5:50 p.m.. you got to get the creme brulee early they're a big seller apparently but it was all right I enjoyed the cawfee. So after first visit it definitely is five stars all the way across the board the full bar no doubt about it. The younger servers that were working were very professional I didn't have any problem with them at all and the heck good classic rock playing over the speakers can't go wrong with that either in my world lol. I'm definitely going to come back here again for the same meal probably and that's okay might bring the folks with but I definitely enjoyed the old world Golobki.

Yelp
I was in the area for a wedding and of the limited options in this town, Tara's Pierogi stood out to me! I noticed a decent number of Polish restaurants in the area on Yelp, but opted to come here because of the good reviews. It was my first time trying Polish food, so I ordered 2 combo plates to try a bit of all the staple dishes. *POLISH PLATE* The Polish Plate which comes with: polish sausage, potato pancake, 6 pierogi of your choice, and goulash. The sausage was charred & smokey with a hint of sweetness. The pierogis remind me of boiled Asian dumplings that have a much thicker and doughier skin. I really enjoyed the potato pancake, as it's similar to a hash brown but more dense & mashed. The goulash was like a tangy veggie sausage stew, and helped cut the heaviness of the meal. *GOLABKI PLATE* Golabki is a cabbage roll stuffed with meat and rice inside, topped with tomato sauce. This reminds me of a meatloaf and is super hearty. It also comes with 6 pierogis of your choice, potato pancake, and red pickled cabbage salad. I enjoyed dipping the pierogi in the tomato sauce! AMBIENCE / SERVICE The restaurant has a contemporary feel with a modern interior. You can self order at a Kiosk if you're paying with card. Food is brought out to your table (at least when we went because it wasn't busy).

Yelp
Came here on a whim while I was on business. In four days I went here twice because the food was so good. The potato and kraut and potato and cheese were unreal. The dough is slightly sweet and the stuffed cabbage made me want to drink the sauce. Overall 100/10. Can't wait to go back!!

Yelp
Been here 2 times when we visit Chicago for work. Great food and the pierogi's are amazing!

Yelp
I went here with no expectations and this place was fantastic. I recommend the Polish plate so that you get a little bit of everything. Everything was very tasty!

Yelp
This was our first time at this location and we were not disappointed. Located in a strip mall , this location offers more seating than their first location. We were immediately greeted when we walked in and offered a table. We had the polish plate and golabki. Each included six pierogis and potatoe pancakes . The polish plate include goulash and polish sausage. The food was authentic and well prepared and seasoned. It is some of the best polish food we have had. The service was very good and welcoming. The portions were good and prices reasonable. The only suggestion I have is , I would have liked some polish rye bread with our meal. Great polish food option.

Yelp
Wow! Food was absolutely delicious. It's clear that they care about the quality and presentation. Subtle flavors blended so well. Mushroom soup and pickle soup were outstanding. Cabbage roll should be on everyone's order. On the other hand the service was slow and almost absent. I'll be back....but service should be an easy fix.
google avatar

Yelp
Three out of 4 of our group opted for the Polish plate. What a great way to try everything! Tried and enjoyed!! One had the stuffed cabbage. Really enjoyable. Service is very attentive and friendly. Clean dining room too!

Yelp
TL;DR: This one is definitely worth going out of your way for. Food: Had the polish plate, which was just perfect for the first time here. The potato pancake was delicious, the pierogi's were great, polish sausage complimented everything well. Service: I saw that some had commented about slow service and I can definitely understand that if you were in a rush. We were catching up with friends and I never really felt neglected but did notice it took a bit longer than normal for the waitress to stop back by the table. Everyone was very friendly, food came out quickly, and was nice and hot when it got to the table so no complaints from me. Price: About $15 per entree and absolutely worth it for me. Portion is fairly generous, so if you aren't super hungry, two adults could share an entree (though you'll really want to try a bit of everything anyway). Overall: One of the few places I'll definitely eat at again on this trip. I'd go out of my way to eat here again and would highly recommend to anyone thinking about going here. As a side note, they have a small play area outside if you have little kids. We sat at the table nearest the play area and our friends were able to let their toddler play while we ate and chatted.

Yelp
A real Polish gem in a small strip center in Elk Grove Village where the food is the star. The menu is limited but there is not a bad choice to be had. It was a quiet Monday night but we were treated well. I did call ahead to make a reservation because their closing time of 7 pm is surprisingly early. Several people picked up orders to go while we dined. I liked the cozy decor especially the pillows and cushions even on the outdoor seating. Being gluten free is a joy here with several GF menu options including pierogi. My Sileasian dumplings were tender pillows served with equally tender beef goulash in a luscious gravy. My friend enjoyed her Vegan pierogi sampler and my husband devoured the golàbki platter. If you love the current Barbie movie craze you can pick up frozen pink pierogi filled with Polish sweet cheese or cheese cake filling. I bought some for my granddaughter. Give Tata's a try and your tummy will thank you!

Eva K.

Yelp
Great food had lots of flavor. I had the pierogi and husband had pork chop. Was worth the drive from Burbank IL.. Would go back

Jessica C.

Yelp
The inside had cute decor. I ordered the Polish plate and had the potato & cheese pierogis. The platter looked small but was oh so filling! Will come again.

Yelp
I almost hate to recommend this place because it is so good that I don't want everyone to find out and go there and then me not be able to get a table! The food was EXCELLENT, definitely a hidden gem. The servers were all very kind and efficient. Prices were quite reasonable for the great quality (and quantity!). It's a small restaurant with table service which I believe is first come, first served, and they also have a large freezer with many types of food off their menu that you can make at home. Seemed like there were quite a few people doing carry out as well. It is a cute place with lots of ethnic decor. I had the stuffed cabbage with a side of pierogi and my husband had a big platter with sausage, etc. - all delicious. The potato pancakes were perfect! We will definitely be back!
google avatar

Natasha K.

Yelp
The food was amazing, with fast service. The staff was professional, and the ambiance was great. It wasn't too loud, so you could have a conversation without having to shout.

Yelp
love this place my go to for delicious pierogi. being born to both parents who were born in Poland I know what good is good quality polish food. this place is really cozy and I like the seating area I felt comfortable not rushed I enjoyed a delicious mushroom soup, pierogi and chicken dish. highly recommend this place if you like pierogi.
google avatar

JH K.

Yelp
What a great spot for traditional polish food. We each ordered the polish plate. My husband ordered the traditional pierogis and I ordered the potato cheddar bacon. Absolutely amazing fresh and delicious. About homemade as it gets. And I have to say. That potato pancake was probably the best I ever had. Highly recommend. Nice ambiance. Friendly staff. It's always nice to support a local family owned restaurant too. Would give 10 stars if that were an option.

Yelp
Delicious pierogis and a very nice cafe-like atmosphere. We will go back to try the rest of the menu!

Yelp
Yummy, authentic polish place. I ordered the polish plate and pierogi sampler. The plate is a perfect meal. The meat pierogis were my favorite, but all were so good! I'd recommend a visit here! The interior is pleasant and cute too

Jacq M.

Yelp
The food was very good (tried pirogues, stuffed cabbage and potato pancakes at a weekday lunch). And the serveware and presentation was stylish. Nice people also. So nice to have had this as a lunch option when we were in the area.

Yelp
Updating to add that, while the the food was gluten free and my Celiac daughter loved it, she did have a reaction later. No regrets! But definitely not Celiac safe.

James A G.

Yelp
Best Polish food I have ever had! The service is fantastic. Everyone is so nice. The atmosphere is really cool. I love this place!

Yelp
What a find! Phenomenal food! The polish plate was excellent and a good value for the price. Will definitely be back!

Yelp
Tara's pierogi reminded me of my bapcia's traditional recipes. The owner was there and very much involved. He was serving us, making drinks, and ensuring the food was to his highest expectations! The environment was fun and a birthday was happening! Had to chime in singing STO LAT! Would certainly return!

Yelp
4 1/2 ---- great pierogis, potato pancakes very good, Gawumki good,,, but too much rice. side. the price and add more meat like you were taught. The atmosphere is local industrial district pleasant but could be improved a bit. Service was very good and enjoyed the pierogi freezer for carry outs. They also had gluten free.
google avatar

Yelp
This place is great! We were traveling and looking for a good lunch spot. This place showed up highly rated on yelp and since I am part Polish and LOVE pierogis and polish sausage, we decided to try it. We ordered the polish platter and 6 pierogis. My son (8) liked the sauerkraut and potato pierogis the best. Everything was delicious and the service was excellent. The decor is really cute, too. We will definitely be back!
google avatar

Yelp
I was in the area for a work trip, and a coworker recommended Tara's Pierogi for lunch. Tara's was amazing! The inside of the restaurant was beautiful, I loved the decor and the lighting, and everything was very clean. We went in to order takeout, the service was very quick and everyone was friendly. The food was absolutely amazing. I got the chicken kebab plate and some spinach feta pierogis. These pierogis were the best I have ever had, easily. And the chicken kebab plate was perfect, the chicken was so flavorful and the salad was great. The portion sizes were very large, and I was so happy to have leftovers to take back to the hotel with me. I would go back to Chicago JUST to eat here again!
google avatar

Yelp
Stuffed dough pillow treats, Devine polish flavors shine, Golabki too? Yum! .... ....... ..

Yelp
The location is in a small strip mall on the northwest corner of Devon and Tonne Rd, access off of Tonne. It is clean and the owners/workers are nice people. There are some pretty good Polish eateries in the Schaumburg and Elk Grove area, and this one is no exception. It's a great place for a quick homemade lunch. I made a point of eating here twice before I reviewed it, in order to get a better feel for their consistency. The first time I just stopped in to pick up some of their frozen pierogi for a family meal that we were having that weekend. While I was there picking up, I went and had lunch as well. I chose the chicken. It was similar to a chicken Kiev, very fresh tasting with nice dill on that as well as the potatoes that accompanied the dish. It was delicious. I also had a tasty mushroom soup. I went in the following week and had the Polish platter. Everything was great again, especially the potato pancake. Serving sizes are medium sized, and the pricing is reasonable. There is nothing to keep me from giving this place 5 stars, so here you go. Very good homemade food served by nice people in a clean environment, plus the takeout pierogi was great as well. I'll be back here.
google avatar

Amy H.

Yelp
The best pierogi I have ever had. I can't wait to go back. I had the golabki and it was sooo delicious. My husband had the polish plate and loved all of it. You have to make the trip.

Yelp
Met up with a former colleague who started his own machine shop again (It's in the blood). Invited me to his facility and discuss a few business opportunities. When it came down to head out for a bite, he recommended Tata's Pierogi in Elk Grove Village. Place had a current urban look, great for hipsters & non hipsters. We viewed the menu and we were inundated with many delicious options (will need to try them all eventually). Settled for a Polish Sampler and a side of additional pierogi mixed with Russkie, Spinach, Sour Kraut & Meat. Unfortunately their was no table service to order, but they gave you a number for the waitstaff to deliver your meal. A Zywiec Beer as an appetizer worked well. As with most good Polish Food, it was worth the wait. Looking forward to another round, next time I'm in or near EGV. Smacznego, Cheers & Nazdrowie!

Kyle D.

Yelp
I would like to meet Tata, give her a hug and thank her for making these delicious pirogies. Everything here is the perfect comfort food and make you happy and full when you're done. Do yourself a favor and get down to this gem as soon as possible.

Yelp
What a great place. Ordered pierogis and polish sausage for Easter as a carry out order. Unbelievable amount, huge quantity. Price was right. Don't pass this place by.

Yelp
I'll start off by saying the ambience of this place is very modern yet has such a homey feel. Since I have never been here, I ordered the plate to try multiple items and I loved each one! They do also sell frozen pierogis for a great price. I bought 3 packages for $20 total.

Barbara K.

Yelp
Kupilam pierogi POTATO &CHEESE, bylo troche pieprzu i potatos ale sera zabraklo, wsyd i to ciasto kosztowalo 8.95 za 12 sztuk. bought POTATO & CHEESE dumplings, there was some pepper and potatoes but no cheese, wsyd and this cake cost 8.95 for 12 pieces.

Teri S.

Yelp
The outlet is very small-but very well stocked, service was very fast and the staff answered all of my questions. The food was amazing!! I purchased the potato cheese and the sauerkraut pierogi and the potato pancakes! I served dinner for 9 and had one single pierogi left. I have spread the word and plan on a trip to the restaurant soon!!

Yelp
This is a very bad place! We ordered chicken kebab and potato pancakes. We waited a long time for our order. The kebab was brought after 30 minutes. and pancakes in 45 minutes!!! But this is not the end! The kebab did not look like a kebab at all, but just a plate with potatoes, chicken, chopped vegetables (it was not a salad). The dish was cold, and while we were waiting for the pancakes, the kebab became completely cold. Pancakes were not tasty, not salty and very greasy, they were all completely in oil, and instead of sour cream they gave me applesauce. The price is too high, we paid $36 for two meals and one water!! I do not recommend it to anyone, by all criteria this place is absolutely terrible!!!!

Yelp
This was my second time going here today. Ordered 2 meals of 1 potato pancake, added beef stew for $2.00 extra, which was find. It was to come with applesauce and sour cream. Well no applesauce or sour cream, the beef stew was only 2 oz., in a condiment tiny cup. We called the restaurant, spoke to the manager. She was very sarcastic, "she said what do you want me to do get in the car and drive it over to you? well I can't . She advised that the 2oz of beef stew was a deal, on the cost of beef now a days, the 12 0z is more, so we got a deal. Then she advised will we'll give you double apple sauce and sour cream next time. That doesn't help me now. we don't get another lunch hour to run back there. She was a joke. We wont be going back there. OMG, the manager just call back and told me I was wrong. That the server that took the order asked if I wanted the sour cream and applesauce, and I said no. Unbelievable, what business does this. They can go jump in the lake.

Yelp
Pierogi & dumplings as good as grandma's! Pork cutlet breaded and fried perfect not greasy. Usually when out of town I wind up with indigestion. I did not get it this time. Maybe the cabbage and carrot side dishes balanced everything out. Seating outside with comfy pillows and a place for kids to play while waiting for food.

Yelp
Delicious food. We tried the pyzy, the blueberry Pierogi and the potato pancake with stew. All were terrific and I can't wait to come back. They make their own Pierogi and even carry vegan options. Good value even in todays economy. Don't be scared off by the obscure location. It is cozy inside and the staff are friendly.
