The 35 Best Restaurants in São Paulo, Brazil | Eater

"One of the oldest restaurants in the city, Tatini is now run by the third generation of the eponymous Tatini family. The kitchen still prepares classics like steak a Diana (served with a mixture of mustard and Worcestershire sauce) and steak au poivre (evidence of the influence France once had on Brazilian gastronomy), even as these dishes disappear from other menus around the city. The waiters also still finish items tableside using hot plates and chafing dishes. They flambé, grill, and whisk sauces not only to entertain diners but also to keep these old-school preparations from extinction." - Rafael Tonon

Tatini is a place that combines excellent food, great service from experienced people , and fair price. The place itself is not as nice but the food, service and price over compensate. They offer one of the best carpaccios in town. We shared cooked shrimps and a crepe Suzette later for dessert. I have been there many times and plan to go again. It is 100% safe bet .

The food was great, but unfortunately that's not all. The place was hot, I mean outrageously hot. We had short clothes, and couldn't wait to pay the bill and get the hell out of there. This might be because of the way they are making the pasta - with a big oil candle Infront of the table. Nice looking, horrible smell, and raising the temperature by a lot - this is an unnecessary gimmick.

Simply one of the best Italian restaurants I’ve ever went, they prepared the meal in front of me, with a lot of humor and recommendations, as it was my first time at the place. The stuffed crab shells are unique, I’ve never seen anything like that, and the meal with the Grana Padano cheese is incredible. That’s a cozy place, so I’d say it’s ideal to go with your family or your partner, definitely would frequent more times, it really shines the Italian culture, it’s beautiful and the service is awesome!

Expensive but worth it. Amazing food that has probably been prepared the same way for decades. Very traditional restaurant, highly recommend for traveling foodies. They're also glad to accommodate requests like adding a beef to pair up with your pasta.

It is a great restaurant, with a great dining experience. Great food, absolutely exquisite! There was a tiny misshap with our order, but it turned out great. The host, Fabrício and our waiter, João, were simply delightful. Definitely a place to go back many times. If I may suggest something, I would say that such a traditional and wonderful place deserves a small makeover as to provide a brighter ambiance.

Great food, but the price is salty.

Yelp
Sometimes, you just know you are going to have an amazing meal. It's a feeling you get when you walk into a place and the maitre'd greets you with a smile... The staff are buzzing around like bees and every table is a queen... The owner comes and welcome each and every table... It feels right... And we haven't even mentioned the food... It you ever find yourself in São Paulo, you're doing yourself a disservice if you don't eat here...

Yelp
Having a dinner together with some friends after a long day on a fair. After entering the restaurant we had to wait a little on the bar until the waiters had prepared the table. The waiters prepare the dishes in front of the customers at the table. For dinner we had the Spaghetti prepared in the Parmesan loaf aside to a small filet steak. The meat was a bit too much cooked for my personal taste, but the Spaghetti in that cheese creamy sauce were fantastic. The vine we drank was a Chile Carmenere Gran Reserva from Terapaca. Great recommendation from the waiter !! The dessert was top!! We had a Mango flambada. The waiter peeled and cut the Mango in front of us, prepared the sauce, like a "Suzette". Some lime peel, caramelized in sugar, deluted with a "little touch" of butter and flamed with a Cognac. The Mango slices were then heated in the sauce and served on a scoop of Vanilla ice with a touch of whipped cream. If I am able to I am coming back to this place. Thanks a million for an exciting dinner evening.

Yelp
Yes. It is very good. Good service, good food, beautiful place. But it is also very expensive. I suggest the burata.

Yelp
Searched for top reviews of restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. Tatini was in the top five so we chose it. Wow, this is a wonderful restaurant. The food quality is very high and the service is outstanding. We liked it so much we returned again before leaving São Paulo. The second visit was another example of how a restaurant should be run. Thanks so much to the staff for our enjoyable evening meals!
