"One part tasting room, one part marketplace, one part restaurant, Taub Family Outpost wears a lot of hats and wears them all well. Stop in for one of their wine flights structured around a theme (such as light floral reds, rare white varietals, or unique sparkling wines and ciders) and pair it with some bar snacks. If you’re hungry, opt for the full-service restaurant upstairs, where the pared-down dinner menu mixes French bistro standards like beef tartare, trout rillettes, and steak frites with California-inspired salads and seafood. On Sundays, they offer a three-course menu for $40 per person, an excellent value in otherwise-expensive Sonoma." - allison green

"This new wine tasting room, market, and restaurant (complete with a hidden cocktail bar) on the Sonoma Plaza serves 33 local and international wines by the glass and plans to launch flights soon. You can then order from the food menu — quinoa bread, burrata, pork schnitzel, and more — to find the perfect complement to a glass of Austrian gruner veltliner or a nebbiolo from Barolo. You can also order by the bottle from a very extensive list." - Jess Lander

Outstanding place to have wine tasting and food pairings. I recommend it highly. Delicious wines! Wonderfully prepared appetizers and food. Service and staff are five star plus, all the way. A must on the wine country towns tour. And if you like cocktails, this is the place. They rival the El Dorado and Swiss Hotel most definitely. Check out Taub Family Outpost. It’s at the historic plaza, you can’t miss it!

My fiancee and I had dinner at Taub the night that we got engaged and had a lovely experience. The food was delicious (the strawberry burrata starter and olive oil cake were our favorites). Our waiter James was kind enough to give us a short tour of the inside space at the end of the night, and we even met the Chef. The inside shows off an eclectic wine collection and we picked out a few bottles. We can't wait to go back and enjoy the full space once the pandemic is over!

Google
Great spot on the corner of Sonoma Plaza. Lot of great choices of booze and wine. Food and coffee as well. Food price is reasonable but serving size is fairly small. Toast, one egg, one piece bacon and some salad/lettuce. 11 bucks plus tax. Add the typical 5 dollar rip off coffee and it's 20 bucks for 400 calories. But it's still a great spot for a tourist to check out. Update 02/23/2022. Review above is for the downstairs. The restaurant upstairs is excellent. The restaurant location isn't obvious. The store is on the first level and restaurant on the 2nd level. Great spot and vibe. The service was excellent and the food was good and good portions. Cocktails were excellent. Highly recommend.

We went here on May 15th 2021 to celebrate a bachelorette weekend! Everyone who worked here was attentive and made the evening special. The food is fresh and great, and the drinks are awesome as well. We especially appreciated the outdoor heaters! I wanted to take the floor heater home with me. Even though the weather tried to make us cold, the two heaters on the ends of the table and the floor heater kept us nice and toasty. It was a great evening, and I hope to return!

You must make your way in and see the upper bar area. Amazing surprise when you walk through the swinging curved door to the upper speak easy bar. Detail to decor is an experience you need to see. Chase is the bartender you must see in the area.

We ordered the hummus and burrata for starters and they were so fresh and delicious. Rotisserie Chicken was amazing. The crab pasta was flavorful but needed more seasoning. We also had the chocolate pudding which was great. They have a nice open patio at the back with heaters and it’s good for some socially distanced dining.

We were there to watch the World Cup soccer game (France vs England). Had big fun, staff was attentive and nice, beer and fries excellent. Price very reasonable. Thanks Marvin!

Google
Our second time here and the experience was good. They have a small shop next door that serves coffee and wine (and pastries). They serve food in the patio in the back. They have a very good wine collection and delicious food.

Yelp
First time visiting the restaurant and it did not disappoint. We (party of 3) all enjoyed our food and drinks. Great atmosphere! I wish there was just a "slight bit" more light but I get it - low lights set the mood. Our server Marvin was fantastic! He was polite, knowledgeable and very attentive but not over bearing. We ordered the chicken liver mousse as the appetizer and it was decadent. 2 of us ordered the halibut and one order the salmon. Ordered the Panna cotta for dessert. No complaints from anyone. We also ordered the focaccia - holy smokes that was amazing. I'm a local and will be back soon!

Yelp
Exceptional restaurant. New chef (as of the last few months 5/2022) created a simple and delicious menus of starters, main dishes, sides, and desserts. Excellent service with Monica and others. Already discussing when we can go back!

Yelp
Lovely California-style dinner after a day of leisurely wine tasting in Sonoma. They have a large outdoor patio and an assortment of tasty, colorful dishes to round out a relaxing day. - Roasted Beet Salad - super colorful, interesting combination of ingredients with the apricots and cashews. Good but not my favorite, probably a personal taste issue. - Rotisserie chicken - this was REAL good. Perfectly cooked chicken, crispy skin on the outside and juicy on the inside. And love the colorful accompaniment of edamame, peas, flowers etc. - Orecchiette and crab pastas - looked good but did not try - Chocolate/hazelnut panna cotta dessert - SO amazing, probably the highlight, creamy and rich and delicious. Would highly recommend for anyone stopping by Wine Country!

Yelp
Wow!! Such a very cute place, like everywhere around sonoma ...what made it stand out was the staff. I sat at the bar and the lady (hope you find that red wine key) who waited on me, didn't get her name (my bad) was the greatest. She was not only extremely knowledgeable but super friendly and positive!! Highly recommended !!

Kristen L.

Yelp
Great spot to post on the corner to sip on wine, eat simple and flavorful dishes and people watch. Staff is very kind, welcoming and have excellent wine recommendations. Also the restaurant is a market where you can pick up some unique food items or a postcard to send to loved ones.

Yelp
Was lucky enough to discover this gem on a work trip. Can't wait to go back! The space is really interesting. It's big enough that it doesn't feel chaotic and loud and manages to feel really warm and intimate Still. The staff are really welcoming and knowledgeable and make great recommendations and just very good at what they do. The food was perfect and I don't say that lightly! I had such a wonderful glass of wine and such a wonderful dinner. I can't wait to go back on my next trip.

Yelp
Super cute spot... totally IG photo worthy. Had Sunday Supper and was delighted with each course. Great cocktails too. Wonderful service attentive but not overly so. Definitely recommend.

Schelly Y.

Yelp
I was pleasantly surprised to see the menu in person is a bit more extensive that what we saw online! The outdoor set-up has a courtyard feel with ample heat lamps. Service was incredibly efficient and friendly. For brunch, they have a good mix of light breakfast and heartier lunch options.

Laura S.

Yelp
Rave. Perfection. Every aspect was the top of the top. It was 90 degrees out so we chose not to sit out on the street tables. Downstairs is more bar and casual and not what we were looking for. They have recently opened up the upstairs dining room so we were taken up there to enter an air conditioned beautiful high ceiling space with window seats and charm throughout. The music was so good I found the artist and down loaded a New station. The food and service were impeccable. Petrale sole and an endive salad. And don't miss the Parker House rolls. One of the best meals in a long time. Expensive but worth it for great food and experience

Yelp
I'm submitting this review because I had sent this as my response to the Resy's 'how was your experience' email but no one replied or reached out so I'm sharing this publicly now. Hope this helps to improve the place. It's really a lovely space and needs better management! Having wonderful drinks at the Beacon on a few occasions, we were excited to finally have dinner at the Outpost. I guess you can say our expectations were high so that might have weighed into our overall disappointment of the experience. Although the room was brighter lit than we had seen it in the past, the ambiance was still lovely. There was a problem with the heat in the dining room so the place was incredibly cold which left us with no choice but to keep our additional layers on. Everyone else in the dining room also had their heavy coats on. The staff explained there was a problem with the HVAC system and they were trying to get it fixed. I'm not sure why the restaurant owners or GM didn't find other temporary solutions to assure a warm and pleasant environment for their guests. Even a couple of space heaters would have help take the chill out of the room. The service was mediocre. There was only one server in the place and a busboy, who did basically nothing but clear plates. The server was MIA most of the time (assuming from our departure and finding him downstairs in the warm café, he was likely trying to keep warm himself). When the food was delivered, we had to ask for serving utensils each time and was given a butter knife for the burrata on toast. Not a case knife, a real small plate style butter knife. This sort of blew us away. The som helped us pick a bottle of wine and was very knowledgeable. We appreciated her experience. Our feedback is if you are going to demand $25-32 for a main course, you should absolutely have the service to go with that price point. If you can't deliver on the service, you certainly can't demand that price. And more importantly, a server should know proper serving utensils at the bare minimum. We hope to go back in the future but not anytime soon.I

Yelp
A friend and I stopped into Taub on the way home from a lovely afternoon in Healdsburg. This restaurant was a delightful place to end our evening. The service was friendly, quick, and attentive. I really liked how many heaters were on their patio too, they had plenty so you were never that far away from one. The food was great! We started with an order of the shishito peppers and the potato leek soup and both were AMAZING! Highly recommend the soup, it tasted so good on a brisk evening. I got the Daily Pasta for my main course and I was in heaven. It had all the things I love: perfectly cooked pasta, pesto, tender meatballs, and and a huge dollop of ricotta in the middle of the plate...yum yum yum yum! The desserts that we tried were SHOWSTOPPERS. We got the butternut squash cheesecake and the apple cake and HoLy HeLl. Honestly some of the best desserts I've ever had. It's worth the calories! All in all, a wonderful dining experience even during covid : )

Yelp
Great food and nice service! I came to TFO for my birthday dinner. They surprised me with a smoked trout and roe amuse on crème fraîche and house-made challah bread. I ordered the day's special - local Marin miyagi oysters and oyster Rockefeller paired with Chablis from French. Oyster Rockefeller were delicious, very juicy and creamy! The wine they recommended is perfect for oyster I had the king salmon with charred corn polenta and cherry tomatoes for entrée. Salmon was cooked perfectly and skin was crispy. The freshness and sweetness from corn with the acid and olive oil from the cherry tomatoes popped in my mouth. Their sommelier recommended Bourgogne Pinot Noir to pair with it. A good pairing of wine does make food taste even better or the other way round, good food does make good wine shine.

Yelp
Wandered into their restaurant to get a drink while waiting for another restaurant to call us. We ended up deciding to stay and eat here and so glad we did!! They have a nice patio at the back, great wine selection, delicious food, and friendly service. I had the bucatini (they were out of clams and replaced with crab). It was amazing and had a strong kick!! Husband has the schnitzel and thoroughly enjoyed as well. We shared the burrata which was so yummy and flavorful. So glad we decided to dine here and highly recommend! Very cute wine shop inside as well

Yelp
Think I need to come back and try the dinner menu. Breakfast experience to go did not really overwhelm -- ordered online and came to pick up; they seemed to be busy as I had to wait a little after the ready time and another lady was sitting outside waiting as well. They were kind to bring it out curbside when it was done. The addition of sausage to the breakfast bowl really made the dish; think I would have felt the dish on the light side without it. Grains tasted yummy and wish there was more of it. Added the $2 avocado to the Egg in a Frame and it fell a little bit on the sparse side. Hope to try them again given all the rave reviews for the other dishes on the menu for dinner.

Yelp
We had a lovely brunch on the patio with family -- it could not have been better. The setting was terrific and the service, top notch! Jack was our server and while everything on the brunch menu looked great, he picked out a few recs that were fantastic. I had the Outpost Benedict and it was incredible. We absolutely will go back for a lunch. That was our only (very slight) disappointment; a couple of items on the lunch menu weren't available -- it was Saturday so the menu was brunch. Alas...another reason to return!

Catherine N.

Yelp
We had intended to get brunch elsewhere, but were met with a long wait and so walked a couple paces down to try out Taub's Family Outpost. I'm glad we did! The brunch offerings are not your typically pancake breakfast, but a more unique changing menu posted on their website. I have the crab frittata, which was really delicious! The croissant bread pudding was speckled with large malty chocolate chunks and was to die for. Coupled with the crème anglaise, this was way better than any pancake breakfast that I was craving and definitely way more indulgent! My latte was the biggest let down as the coffee was bitter and their was an oily film floating just below the foam. The corn bread was a great thing to share, but I have no idea why the what I assume is honey butter had such a strange consistency. It was bad, just oddly plastic-like.

Jerome M.

Yelp
Discovered this by accident on our daily quest for breakfast in the food desert of Sonoma before 5pm. So so good... like all the good wrapped in a croissant ... coffee was wonderful and the mustard was so uniquely delicious we had to find out what it was... great attention to detail and cute little store.

Briana F.

Yelp
Underwhelming by far. Tried the asaparagus (burned an dry, nearly invisible crudo, was told it was thin but I forgot my magnifying glass . Truly tiny app. Shrimp were decapitated and slimy texture looking Back at me. Gnocchi was mealy , gritty and bad. What a shame will not return. Took 2hrs to be served

Sandra B.

Yelp
Good food A few good runs there until last time Over priced but on the square to be expected Martin was horribly short and rude to the point that it ended in a discussion, he was volatile at minimum No good food is worth bad service Sorry Taub, lose Martin or lose local customers

A S.

Yelp
Delightful staff, delicious food. Nice atmosphere. Just right quiet and comfortable. We will be back. On the square. Thank you!

Yelp
Very strange evening - cool looking restaurant but the food was no bueno. Warm crab appetizer was flavorless - like a bland crab dip with no bread or chips. Fried chicken, a specialty, tasted like it had been made in the afternoon and then re-heated - burnt on the outside and cold in the middle but not raw - plus it took only like 5 mins to come out. Ordered warm choc chip cookie for dessert, came out cold. Sent back, came back colder. At that point we just asked for the check and left. So yeah, won't be back.

Gal G.

Yelp
I dined at Taub Family Outpost for the first time today and I'm definitely not coming back. Based on past pictures it seemed like a really cute place with great atmosphere but we were seated in the courtyard which felt like the back of a storage shed. No character, not atmosphere, nothing to make it feel nice and cozy. Never mind that. So we ordered the food and after taking a few bites I discovered a worm in my salad. Needless to say I spat out whatever I had in my mouth. They were good enough to make my dish again and at the end of the meal they brought us a complimentary dessert, which my friend couldn't eat because she's gluten and dairy free. They did not take my wormy dish off the check. We also did not get any refills on our drinks and had to ask after our glasses were sitting empty on the table for a while. The food itself was no more than OK. Not bad but not that great either. I would have given them 3 stars for this experience but after the meal we went next door to the market and ordered coffee to go. I received my coffee cup, and was attempting to take the lid off to add sugar and the lid sliced my thumb. I took my mask off to suck on the cut and the barista immediately told me I need to put my mask on. I had my thumb in my mouth. I finally was able to get the lid off and was attempting to taste the coffee to know how much sugar I want to add and again she told me very forcefully that I'm not allowed to eat or drink indoors and I need to put my mask on. Sonoma county is orange. That means indoor dining is allowed with restrictions. Definitely not coming back after being treated like a criminal.

Anne N.

Yelp
What an absolute gem of a restaurant! Our hostess was so welcoming and our server Monica made us feel right at home! I highly recommend their crudo, sea bass and steak frites! We followed up our dinner with Beacon and no regrets there! Romantic ambiance and drinks were outstanding as well!

M A.

Yelp
Just had lunch for the first time at Taub. Ordered the saffron noodles with crab. I have to disagree with last reviewer. My dish was watery, extremely salty and so loaded with hot peppers (and I like heat) that the delicate crab was lost in the dish. You order at a counter, get a number for your table, and they set it down in front of you and you don't see your server again. For water or anything else, it's strictly serve yourself. A poor offering for full-blown restaurant prices. I would give food a C- or D, Ambience an F, Service an F. Had high expectations, we waited a long time for it, but what a disappointment. Had to sit inside because the outside patio was full. No atmosphere, hard seats, not comfortable. BTW, my companion's meat dish was overcooked. You can do so MUCH better someplace else on the Square.

Margaret T.

Yelp
Taub was such a letdown. I expected much more from a place with a 5-star rating. We ordered the tuna tartare special ($17), pasta of the day ($19), vegetarian pasta of the day ($17), and the ancient grain burger with a side of fries ($18). While the plating/packaging of the food was artistic, the flavors were greatly underwhelming. The tuna tartare lacked both taste and texture. The only saving grace was that it was pretty to look at. The pasta of the day was a rigatoni smothered in pesto sauce with pork meatballs. However, we had to season it ourselves as it was very bland. The vegetarian pasta was tripoline pasta with butternut squash, goat cheese, pomegranate seeds, and topped with a cinnamon crumble. This dish wasn't terrible but also required us to season it ourselves as well. I thought the components of the dish were very fitting for the season but I personally prefer saltier components to my pasta rather than sweetness (from the cinnamon). The burger fell apart as soon as I picked it up, but that's likely expected from a quinoa burger. Like all the other dishes I mentioned, the burger was disappointing and under seasoned. Out of all the dishes, the side of fries that came with the burger was the only item that was heavily seasoned with salt. It's almost like all the salt that was meant for the entrees got dumped onto the fries instead. Perhaps we chose an off night for the restaurant, but it's hard to believe that every single dish we ordered was tasteless and unappetizing. It's unfortunate because the menu was appealing and the pictures made all the dishes look so good.

Christine D.

Yelp
Wait staff was pleasant, dining room was cold, the fried chicken was dry, the pork roast was dry. $35 for the halibut and we received a very small piece. All in all a very disappointing experience.

brian m.

Yelp
We just had a wonderful breakfast of ham and egg croissant which was full of flavor, toasted just right and simply delicious as well as a crab egg benedict which had plenty of crab meat and two perfectly poached eggs. Service was quick and strongly recommend!

Leigh N.

Yelp
The lamb burger was the most amazing thing we've eaten all week. It had a truffle aioli that smelled amazing and tasted just out of this world. (This was today's special.) If you're not sure what to get, and lamb burgers are on the menu, I suggest all lamb burgers. Other things we got: - Multigrain bread, which came with toasted nori (seaweed) on the butter -- the nori was a little weird, but the bread was soft and tasty. - Lamb meatballs, which had a whole green olive in the middle, and a crust of some type. I had expected chopped olives with the meat, but the whole olive made for an interesting mix of flavors that were intense and delicious. We dipped them in ketchup, because we thought it needed a sweeter sauce for balance. - Mac & Cheese: This was tasty, but not quite creamy or cheesy enough for our tastes, at least not when compared with the lamb burger. We'd purchased some truffle gouda earlier today that we put on top when reheating the pasta, and that was an amazing addition. We applaud Taub Family Outpost for continuing to serve food during this difficult time when you can't even have outdoor dining, and suggest putting the lamb burgers with truffle aioli on the year-round menu.

Jessica F.

Yelp
Lovely food and thoughtful, welcoming service at Taub Family Outpost. We recently went there for our first lunch out in public since the pandemic started. We dined outside and enjoyed it so much that we've already been back a few times! I love that they use locally procured ingredients in their menu. It's also nice that they have the retail section, so if you are inspired, you can buy a bottle of something special to take home.

Spencer C.

Yelp
We were planning on going to sunflower caffe down the street but the line was insane. This ended up being the best thing to happen as we walked down the street and found this gem. They were able to accommodate our large party immediately with excellent service. I ordered the burger which was FABULOUS and the fries are shoestring and equally amazing. The group also ordered the frittata, açaí bowl, and plaza breakfast. All the eggs came out perfectly cooked to preference and they accommodated a wide range of dietary restrictions with ease. I also love the metal straws served with our drinks and the restaurant's focus on sustainability. Further they have a stunning outdoor patio around back that has some of the best ambiance on the plaza. I will definitely be back and cannot recommend this place enough. I also heard they serve fried chicken for dinner... I can't wait!

Amy O.

Yelp
Taub kept me well fed during Covid with their delicious Sunday suppers and take away menu, but now that the restaurant is open, it's even better! I can't decide which I love more, their weekend brunch (Loco Moco, Banana French Toast) or dinner service (Pork Schnitzel, Outpost burger) . You'll just have to try them both and decide for yourself! Lots of unique flavors, but solid standards too. Great wine list, but the cocktails! Speaking of cocktails, I almost hate to share this...but did you know that Sonoma has one of the best speakeasy's outside of New York? Yep. Right above Taub. It's called Beacon. Absolutely gorgeous space. Even more gorgeous cocktails. We're not talking vodka tonics here folks. Fresh, inventive, classics, new creations...hands down best cocktails for miles and miles. You won't know you're still in Sonoma. Not sure what to order? Ask the brilliant Gerard or Chase for recommendations. And while you're at it, tell them Amy says hi. Heck, there's a good chance I'll be there having another cocktail anyway! Cheers

Mrs R.

Yelp
Fantastic find for beginning a 21 birthday wine tasting day with our daughter! We didn't have a reservations but we were accommodated for a party of 7. Everyone enjoyed their meals, wait staff were pleasant and attentive. We had the eggs benedict which were perfectly prepared, corn & goat cheese frittata was a great gluten free option, The Plaza was satisfying and filling. Overall it was a lovely stop for the day and started the day off right!

David K.

Yelp
Unfortunately, we had a very disappointing experience at Taub Family Restaurant. The Taub Family Outpost is a really cute store, coffee shop, and to go cocktail spot. During COVID we went there many times to peruse the items and get coffee or cocktails, I even joined their mailing list to hear about their Sunday Suppers and other events going on. So, we were particularly disappointed with a poor experience at the restaurant. My wife's ordered the Orcchiette and it sounded good, but was very bland. However, this is not why I'm writing the review. I'm writing the review because of my meal, the pork schnitzel. Because pork schnitzel is just a big piece of fried meat, typically it is served with a sauce or gravy, some spätzle, sauerkraut, or other sides. This pork schnitzel, however, came with a tiny side of pineapple sauce with 4 small cubes of pineapple. I quickly ate through the sauce and was left with three quarters of a dry pork schnitzel. I asked the server for more sauce and he told me he'd go ask the chef. He promptly returned and told me the chef said no. I was very shocked and asked why and what I was supposed to do with the rest of the schnitzel. He told me he didn't know why just that the chef said no, but that they had some hot sauce I could use. I was thinking maybe they have their own home-made hot sauce or something, but no, he brought out a ramekin of Franks Red Hot Sauce. I was absolutely floored that this was their solution. I also feel comfortable making this assessment because the guy at the table next to me also confirmed his was incredibly dry and that he barely had any sauce. I would never write a review because of bland food. And I almost always give places like this second chances, but the fact that my wife's food was bland, and they refused to give me any more sauce (except Franks Red Hot Sauce) has me questioning their restaurant as a whole. So all in all, my wife and I spent $200 for bland pasta, a dry schnitzel with Franks Red Hot Sauce, and a decent Sauv Blanc. This meal was not worth $200, and I doubt we will return. Go to El Dorado Kitchen instead.

Laura F.

Yelp
Great food and great service. James made sure the chef knew about my table's dietary restrictions and was incredibly kind and attentive throughout our dinner. He explained the safety precautions the restaurant was taking as soon as we sat down which I also appreciated. I had the veggie burger and can't wait to go back for another. Thank you for the wonderful dining experience, James and staff!

Jessica O.

Yelp
Super friendly attentive staff. The Coffee is the best in town and I've tried it all. A must stop and shop before a picnic in the park as well. Great selection of wine and Spirits.

Denise C.

Yelp
I can only comment on the cocktails so far. They are so unique and refreshing. My favorite is the Mezcal Mule. It's got a generous pour of Mezcal, so a little goes a long way. It's the perfect drink for the warm weather. I will soon order dinner and let you know. Can't wait to see the inside!

Chad W.

Yelp
Nice outdoor tented area for brunch for a peaceful setting. They serve plenty of caffeinated drinks and alcoholic brunch options. It is a fairly small menu, but what they make they make well. I would go back.

Thimathy P.

Yelp
Drove up to Sonoma to pick up our quarterly wines. With thing still be in lockdown, we got some fried chicken with side salad. Had a chilled bottle of Chardonnay, sat on the blanket in the town plaza and had a picnic. Making the best of the circumstances with COVID-19.

John A.

Yelp
Good lord! The duck 2 ways appetizer was the best meal I've had out this year! Well played, compliments to the chef!

Chelsea S.

Yelp
So glad they opened during Covid and continue to impress and stand out as unique on the Plaza. Go check out their speakeasy The Beacon, but snag reservations early. They continue to exceed expectations and their burger is DELICIOUS

Ashley V.

Yelp
Such a lovely dinner experience! Outdoor café tables make you feel like you're transported to a little European town. Our server James was phenomenal. We ordered the shishito peppers and the beet salad to start. Fresh locally sourced ingredients were clearly delicately curated for these dishes. For the mains we chose the ancient grains burger that they make in house and the rock fish and clams special. So many thoughtful vegetarian options on the menu made me very happy. Of course we couldn't leave without taking a few cookies for the road! You can tell that the culinary staff and team are very passionate about everything they do here. Attention to detail in every aspect of the experience.

Tony L.

Yelp
Delicious! Breakfast Biscuit is an all timer! Definitely expensive but very well Made. Nice little hidden gem.

Yelp
I'll make this quick. VERY good food -- that's the most important part. We both had pasta dishes, and they were both superb -- pasta was homemade with incredible sauces. Wine was excellent, BUT at outlandish prices. The most disappointing factor for us were the "cocktails." We love a fantastic, well-made cocktail before dinner and this was a disappointment. ALL drinks are made in "batches." This means drinks are pre-made, not fresh and quite frankly, weak and not robust. Sadly, we won't be back for the drinks but YES for the food.

Yelp
We stopped in this morning to watch the England vs France game. We didn't have a reservation but they made space for us unlike other spots that turn you away without a blink of the eye! The mimosas and fries were amazing! The ambience was fun and friendly! I wish we were going to be in town for the final match. Highly recommend making a reservation and checking this place out!

Yelp
Terrible experience tonight. A lovely woman told us she would check on our table and we would be next. We stood out of the way behind the host station. We waited 20+ mins and saw three groups get seated. We were frustrated but no problem we could try it later but we had waited too long. We told the women at the front that we were leaving. They said no problem, took our name to cancel the reservation and we left. The problem was the general manager. He was extremely rude. He called stating "don't judge us based on the high school girls up front". We explained our issue was not with them and he hung up on us... twice. We called him back and he blamed the girls again. As a manager and an adult, you hired these women and trained them... you are responsible. It's terrible and embarrassing to place blame on an employee. The correct way to handle an issue, which there wasn't one until we spoke to him, would to be to apologize and ask for us back and make a reservation for us.

Yelp
Excellent!! We ordered the special prime rib for 2 to go tonight! They got it all right...perfectly medium rare, fresh zucchini, a lovely warm roll, tasty potatoes, horseradish sauce! Add to that a salad and dessert....and a very friendly staff, We are so happy they are in Sonoma!! Hope to be able to enjoy your restaurant soon...the interior looks beautiful!

Yelp
A fun find on the Square. We enjoyed wine and delicious small bites at a table outside. The restaurant and upstairs bar (The Beacon) weren't open during the afternoon but looked very inviting.

Yelp
As a local, our first time here was something my friends and I were looking forward too for many weeks, especially for a birthday celebration for a friend of mine. $17 drinks seemed over priced which was fine in the moment, but since the staff mismanaged the door and cover count in regards to capacity, they made us leave after our first round of drinks! What? Bad call for a newly opened speakeasy on the square especially with a motivated group who planned on celebrating for hours. Money down the drain for this ownership group , won't be back. On to the next spot.

Yelp
This place is overpriced all around and the quality of the food and drinks does not validate the pricing. Customer service is lacking and made for a poor experience. Plenty of other better options on the Sonoma plaza that will provide a much better experience. The Manager was quite rude and treated us poorly. Not a good look, especially to a bunch of Sonoma locals. Take your business elsewhere.
