18 Atlanta Bars and Restaurants Serving Top-Notch Margaritas | Eater

"Atlanta and Dallas get compared to each other a lot, so experience the best of both cities when you dine at this Italian import from Big D. The entire menu delivers authentic tastes and preparations, but the risottos are go-to faves. Try a seasonal variation or the can’t-miss Scamorzo y Tartufo, a creamy blend of smoked mozzarella and earthy fresh truffles (not truffle oil) for an elevated experience. It’s rich, so consider sharing it along with a burrata pizza while sipping blood orange margaritas, made by request with Astral Tequila." - Steven Craig Lindsey

Great Pizza Spots For A Nice Dinner & Date Night

"Taverna feels like a quaint neighborhood Italian restaurant—but only if your neighborhood’s homes average in the millions. Located in the Buckhead Village District, Taverna’s al fresco dining spills into the sidewalk of the upscale shopping plaza. You’ll find familiar Italian restaurant motifs in the dark wood paneled walls, showcased wine bottles, and a menu of antipasti, pastas, and fish or steak entrees—which all feel a little extra fancy when you’re dining in a room with people who pay for real Prada (unlike us). But you will also find a selection of solid wood-fired oven pizzas, including the wild mushroom pie drizzled with black truffle oil, which you should order, loudly. After all, Prada devotees know that good taste is good taste. " - nina reeder

TAVERNA is a really cute Italian restaurant in Buckhead. I enjoyed the ambience of the restaurant. I went on a Friday night, it was fairly busy. Our server was a sassy one, but enjoyed my food. I ordered Bruschetta as an appetizer and the wagyu burger as my entrée both 10/10. My friend ordered FRITTO MISTO as an appetizer, entrée was the salmon. I would definitely go again but to sit at the bar because the seating for 2 was a little tight.

Google
This was third time we eaten there.nice eatery. They have outdoor seating cool when it's a warm day service is very welcoming and nice.food is in italien but service good at recommending dishes after asking you a few questions. Food and desserts are pretty good

Google
A Sunday vibe if you can get a table or place at the bar. Had the bruschetta and it was mid at best. The salmon was 🔥🔥 and the mimosas were good also

Google
Absolutely phenomenal food and lovely service, my server Liliana was incredibly polite and an excellent server. The gnocchi with short ribs was lovely, along with the mussels for the appetizer. The lavender refresher was good as well. I absolutely recommend coming here for a relaxing evening with a calming atmosphere.

Taverna 🥰🥰🥰in Atlanta’s Buckhead district is absolutely amazing! From the moment you walk in, the restaurant has a warm, stylish, and lively atmosphere that makes you feel instantly welcome. It’s the perfect spot for a cozy dinner, a gathering with friends, or even a special occasion. The food is outstanding — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. Whether you’re ordering pasta, seafood, or a traditional Italian dish, every plate is made with care and authenticity. You can truly taste the quality of the ingredients and the passion behind the cooking. The service is excellent too. The staff is attentive, friendly, and happy to offer great recommendations if you’re not sure what to try. Located in the heart of Buckhead, Taverna is a fantastic choice if you’re looking for a delicious meal in a chic, vibrant setting. Highly recommended — I can’t wait to go back!

Google
Excellent place to have a celebration or just eat with your loves ones. We had a such great night, service since I step on in the place was 100 of 10. We were a party of 7 for our friend engagement dinner, my friend(the bride to be) was spoiled until we go out, the food amazing taste and variety in a fair razonable price. But the when I said service was great I’m not being fair, seriously one of the best!. 1000% recommended.

Google
This was by far the worst "Italien" food I have ever eaten. The Foccacia bread was flat crust pizza dough with cheap parmesan and some dried herbs on top, The Speck and Walnut salad was wilted, (despite fresh deliveries daily) the walnuts were stale. To say I was disappointed is an understatement.

Last night, I visited Taverna in Buckhead for the first time with a friend and a couple of our fur babies. The restaurant was pretty empty when we arrived, but we still decided to stay and I’m so glad we did! We were warmly greeted and seated by Catarina, who also ended up being our server for the evening. Even though it was a slow night and she may have been hoping for an early wrap-up, you would’ve never known it. Catarina provided outstanding service from start to finish. Her demeanor was warm and welcoming, her communication was clear and friendly, and she had the perfect mix of charm and professionalism. She checked on us regularly, kept the good vibes going, and even made sure our pups were taken care of with fresh water. I left extremely pleased and will definitely be back — and when I return, I’ll be asking for Catarina by name!

Yelp
Taverna is an inviting neighborhood restaurant for Italian food. It is located near Buckhead Village, so there is something to do beforehand or afterwards. There is indoor and outdoor seating, The lighting is a bit dark inside, even during the day, but the outdoor seating has good lighting as long as the day is nice. As far as service goes, it was good but it could have been faster at times. My boyfriend and I came for brunch on Saturday where they have $3 Mimosas which were yummy! For our actual brunch, we got the Taverna Hash and Vegetarian Omelette. According to my boyfriend, the Taverna Hash was seasoned well and the brisket was tender. I enjoyed my Vegetarian Omelette; there was plenty of cheese in there to make it taste extra good. I have been here before and got a pasta and the focaccia which were delicious as well. I think Taverna is a nice place for brunch (and other meals). The $3 mimosas are a good deal as well. Definitely a spot worth checking out if you are in Buckhead!

Yelp
Food: just okay, but still expensive Service: we went on a busy Sunday where they had their weekend drink special so didn't get spectacular service Ambiance: loud, lots of tables crunched together

Yelp
Pretty much everything about this place was mediocre. SEATING - we put our name/number down for 3 to sit outside. 20 min wait. 30 min later we check in with them to see how much longer, it's like they didn't remember us and were like "oh we can clear off a table for you!" Like ???? SERVICE - waiter was really nice, but we did have to ask repeatedly for more water FOOD - mediocre at best. Look at pics. Burrata pizza wasn't what I expected based on their Instagram. It's bread and cheese so tasty but not worth the price. Friend ordered the pumpkin risotto and it was SOUP. Lava cake was served cold. Not very lava-y. Served with different ice cream flavor (Dulce de leche) than advertised (vanilla bean). Tiramisu was pretty good. Go down the street to Yeppa. Way better food and service.

Yelp
We sat at the bar after a long day. We started with the bruschetta and each enjoyed the Seafood Risotto and the daily cut of the day on top of polenta. The ambiance was very classic and inviting.

Yelp
Overall, would love to return to try more. Parking: two garages close by. They probably do validate but I forgot to ask (don't be like me!) there is also street parking but this corner of buckhead gets busy Atmosphere: not the shining star of this restaurant but I don't care as long as the food is good and it's clean. It feels a little generic but it does have a neat patio. It's lower key than its neighbor restaurants. We had a reservation, which was easy to get. Staff: attentive, kind, helpful and knowledgeable Food: pasta is truly the star here. They make their own pasta so if you have never had it that way, it may have a unique texture to you; it's chewier and more flavorful. I love fresh pasta personally so this was wonderful. Cacio e pepe: while I do generally prefer a thicker noodle for this dish, their homemade pasta was so delicious. The flavor of the sauce was perfectly balanced and creamy (without cream of course) Carbonara: this was the winner. More sumptuous than the cacio, this dish had a ton more flavor too. The panchetta ratio was perfection and was of course parallel with the freshly made pasta. Chicken Milanese: a surprisingly light dish despite it being fried. The dish was plated with a light vinegarette salad with arugula, cucumber, tomato, and olives. The chicken was butterflied and thin, and perfectly crispy. Affogato: for dessert we shared the lovely salted caramel gelato with espresso. The perfect flavor of gelato to complement. I would love to go back to try other pastas!

Yelp
We came here on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. There are $3 mimosas and aperol spritz which was awesome. We started with the bruschetta and it was so fresh. The tomato's were so light and tasty. For my main course I had the short rib gnocchi. It tasted great. The gnocchi was soft and almost melted in the mouth. The short rib added to the flavor as well and was cooked just right within the sauce. The restaurant wasn't packed but it was filling up. The waiter was also pretty quick as well and very attentive.

Yelp
I come here a lot because I live closeby, and it never disappoints. The servers and management are always fantastic. I enjoy sitting in the patio all year round as it's heated in winter and cooled in summer. I have probably tried 90% of the menu, and it's all great. The pizzas are always great, the appetizers and salads are fantastic. And I love the eggplant parmigiana and the Branzino from the entrees. We went last night and got the Branzino and focaccia, and both lived up to the expectations.

Yelp
Loved this spot. The food was really good and the portions were good sized for the price. Bonus was the $3 aperol spritz on the weekend which were super good!

Yelp
Bruschetta was very good and fresh, quick service, enjoyed the pasta definitely very creamy and rich.

Yelp
This was my first time eating here. We came on a Saturday night and the environment was great. The music wasn't too loud and the lighting was perfect. There was a long list of drinks to choose from along with plenty of food options. Our waitress was very patient and answered all the questions we had. My only complaint is that the steak we ordered came out uncooked. A portion of the meat didn't even look like it touched the stove - besides this everything was delicious. The staff made it up to us by offering free dessert.

Yelp
We recently went for lunch, and there were some high notes and some average. The best thing we atewas the fungi pizza, with prosciutto added. It was absolutely delicious. The least satisfying thing that we had was the polpo octopus appetizer. It was served cold, which was odd to have cold octopus with cold potatoes. And the octopus was incredibly chewy. Not very satisfying. The seafood risotto had great flavor, but there could have been a much larger serving. The tagliatelle Bolognese say was very solid, with a large portion and a great Ragu. The service was good, not great. The place is adorable and centrally located in Buckhead. There is street parking or nearby garage parking. I can't say that we would rush back, but we would probably go if we were nearby.

Yelp
First off, I want to shout out our server Anja. She was attentive, kind, and ensured our meals came out amazing. The menu is great, but both times we've gone we have ordered specials. Last night, we enjoyed the zucchini chips, taverna salad, chicken parmesan pizza (the special), and the tomato basil pasta. Let me share something I think is rarely done consistently well amongst restaurants- every dish came out PIPING hot. No lukewarm meals here, this wasn't under a warmer, this was made fresh. It's something I just do not take for granted. There's good italian food all over buckhead, even within Buckhead Village. I think this place has a better ambiance, it's easier to get into (we didn't have a rez), and much better value. Already counting down the days til we can come back!

Yelp
We went to Taverna for date night and I mean it was awesome. Staff was attentive and at our side every second, if we needed more wine they poured it. If we needed a box they got it. We didn't have to ask for a single thing, they just took care of it! Great service. Food was phenomenal, my boyfriend got the Cacio de Pepe and I got the pasta carbonara (Gf) . I actually demolished my entire plate. We will be back here, hopefully to the brunch!

Yelp
Best slitely dirty martini with hand stuffed true Italian blue cheese stuffed olives not the ones floating in brine....firm and amazing‍

Yelp
Omg this place is GOOD. Like really good, almost almost Italy good. Came here for lunch and they had drink specials on the weekend ($3 for an Aeperol spritz? ) and their California pizza was seriously amazing! I always am very critical when it comes to anything California based but the pizza was flat and crispy- definitely out of a brick over or seemed like it and just enough toppings! Fresh yet hearty! Our bartender was amazing and all around had really great service! I will definitely be back.
google avatar

Yelp
Their Sunday brunch is Unbeatable!!! Love love love. And Shannon, the bartender, is AMAZING!! Even when she is working by herself, she is jovial, observant and efficient. Food is well worth it also.

Yelp
I went here off of a recommendation from a fellow foodie. It did not disappoint. We wanted a casual but classy sit down brunch where we weren't swamped in hookah smoke and grass walls. I called to make reservation however the lady on the phone said there was more than enough seating. This made me slightly nervous because online it said no reservations available. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by the hostesses who showed us to our table. They have an amazing drink special $3 mimosas which we definitely indulged in. We ordered the Prosciutto Burrata & Fichi to share and I ordered the B.E.C. Sandwich while the person with me ordered the Chicken and Waffles. Not necessarily a disappointment the Prosciutto Burrata & Fichi came out almost as a pizza rather than a board. It was decent but definitely heavy on the arugula. My sandwich was amazing. An Italian take on a New Yorkers favorite sandwich. Their Chicken and Waffles was also amazing. The vibe and aesthetic of the restaurant was family friendly and you felt transported to Sicily. Would recommend if you are looking for somewhere casual with friends or going on a date!

Yelp
4.7/5 Came here with my friend for light eats and drinks. They do have a parking deck with an elevator that leads to the side of the restaurant. So, it's easy to find and they validate parking which is a plus! Service: Our waiter was absolutely wonderful! She had a really nice vibe and was more than open and patient when it came to ordering. The manager was also going around doing table touches, which is always appreciated as a customer. Food: We shared the Mussels, which were in a tomato based sauce. The mussels were good, except for a few that still had sand in them, but I can't say I would order them again. I believe that's just person preference, as I enjoy white wine sauces more for mussels. For drinks, my friend ordered the Aperol spritz and I enjoyed the Lavender Refresher. The drinks were really good and strong, we also ordered a few rounds of wine which were good picks as well. For dessert, we just decided to share the tiramisu. I will say I don't usually like tiramisu, but this one was delightful as it was light and airy. Ambiance: It is a really nice place, very warm feeling inside with a good amount of seating. This is a good place for birthday dinners, celebration dinners, or just a night out. But the bathrooms could use a lil extra tidying up without the night. One stall was not up to par in the women's restroom. Overall: I will definitely be back to try more menu items. I have heard good things about their brunch/breakfast, so I will be back with a review for that once I've experienced it.

Yelp
Love their $3 mimosa and aperol spritzes during brunch. Thought the service was great too. Ambiance is a bit casual, you'll find families, solo diners, and couples just grabbing a bite. Food was ok and wasn't my favorite, but enjoyed the California pizza and avocado toast. The wagyu burger wasn't very flavorful or memorable. Overall a solid spot for cheap brunch in Buckhead.

Yelp
Perfect patio dining experience! Nestled in Buckhead Village, we chose this location for Friday lunch. Upon arrival for our 11 am reservation, Phil warmly greeted and sat us on the covered patio. This was a prime spot to watch the constant flow of people and pets strolling by. Hailey's attentive service was appreciated. I opted for the Good Friday cod and chip special which included cole slaw. The fries were well seasoned. The sandwich included two nice sized pieces of cod-which could have used a bit more flavor-but hit the spot. My friend who is vegan only had one option- the kale salad. She left saying she was still hungry (I felt bad because I was full and left with a takeout box). It would be nice to add more vegan options to meet customers' diverse dietary needs. Park in the garage to take advantage of validated parking. The weather was lovely on this Spring day, so we walked around and visited the nearby businesses. Overall, the service was pleasant and I plan to return to explore more of their menu options.
google avatar

Brionna M.

Yelp
Both times we've been here has been such a treat. They have $3 mimosas and spritz for brunch! The French toast is one of my favorites, and I love that the flavor is in the toast and not from things drizzled on the top. The service is always very pleasant, and everyone is very friendly. The outside space was such a nice place to eat, it's pretty much fully covered but in a beautiful way.

Yelp
Hidden Lunch Gem! Great Food Great Service! Cool Ambiance. Came here for a Valentines Day Lunch and this is now my go to spot for Lasagna.
google avatar

Krystle K.

Yelp
We walked in at 20 minutes to close after a very long evening and they graciously seated our party of 4. The food was great as was the service and I recommend giving them a try!
google avatar

Danielle S.

Yelp
This was a nice place for Sunday brunch. You can't beat the $3 mimosa or Aperol spritz brunch special. The service was good (though slow by 12:30 when we were wrapping up and the restaurant was growing very crowded). I thought the food was decent. I had a veggie omelet, and it was tasty and came with seasoned potatoes and some leafy greens. My husband had the breakfast pizza, which had eggs, tomatoes, and ham. It was honestly underwhelming, and the crust was chewy, but not super flavorful - we both added Cholula to give it some flavor. I would say the food was good, not great, but the atmosphere was nice, and our experience was good.
google avatar

WILLIAM B.

Yelp
First timer and found it odd with the small number of guests that the bar did not alert the servers didn't know certain items were unavailable. The margarita of choice was out of passion fruit but I should have just went with the BloodyOrange from the onslaught. My lasagna was delicious and a hearty portion. We were there to celebrate a birthday and the server did a nice sparkling surprise.

Yelp
I love taverna!!! Dr. Phil makes the best chocolate martinis.. they are elite... PERIOD!!!! Yall should give him a raise because he is the best and the nicest guy ever!! What a cutie!!

Yelp
Stopped in for date night, and the restaurant itself is actually very very beautiful. Parking is a bit of a conundrum because one of the hostesses told me that they have validation for two hours for free parking in the LAZ across from Yeppa but I end up paying via mobile app just to be sure (12.95 for 2 hours). She was very kind though and provided great directions I'm just a bit dense when it comes to parking and parking decks in general. I blame it on my left-handed-ness lol. If you park near the library it's actually really really expensive so I would've avoid it at all. Cost something like two hours for $33 come on Atlanta.lol Anyways, I had a raspberry frizz drink and it was quite nice. It had the fruitiness, but none of the fruit still had a lot of raspberry taste I would recommend it on a nice spring day. We ordered the meatballs and I have to say that the red sauce that it came with was exceptional. The tomatoes were definitely some Marzano, but they were next level because the quality was so high and they were a deep bright red. I'll make sure to take a pic next go. I settled on the linguine with mixed seafood (frutti di mare) my guest opted for the rigatoni with eggplant and aged ricotta. my dish the seafood was extremely fresh, came with calamari, large, shrimps and mussels. Seafood but in a perfect world for $29 there would've been four instead of two shrimp. Dish was also quite large and delicious. Overall we had a great dinner. Can't speak to dessert but I'll be back next time to report back.

Yelp
pasta was DELISHHH, half off on bottles of wine on mondays and they got a brunch menu

Yelp
Always a great time at Taverna. I do recommend a reservation if you're planning to visit later in the evening. The food here is excellent. Absolutely great New York style thin crust pizza cooked to perfection. The risotto is also perfectly prepared and not too mushy! The carbonara is great and the Paglia E Fieno we had last night, Wow! What a great sauce. We had the squash zucchini chips and focaccia for apps. Both were great. We skipped dessert on this visit. Good drinks, great service, great food, 2 hour validated parking in the deck attached to their building. Give Taverna a try if you haven't, you'll love it.

Kelly M.

Yelp
Taverna just made a change to their menu...the meatball appetizer is OUTSTANDING ...large fluffy balls with delicious marinara and a dollop of ricotta cheese! Stupendous Best slightly dirty martinis in the city with hand stuffed blue cheese olives
google avatar

Shermika D.

Yelp
Very good avocado toast here that was played beautifully. Prices are super reasonable for brunch although for $17 one could have a bit more salmon. To note, mimosas are $3 and decent for the price. Service was decent but wasn't stellar. The restaurant was bustling and had a good playlist. Overall good experience.

Yelp
Food, service and ambience were phenomenal. Our server Michael was very nice. The Bruschetta Al Pomodoro, California Pizza and Tonnarelli Caico E Pepe was very good. We had a great time. We highly recommended this restaurant for those looking for a good Italian restaurant.

Taylor R.

Yelp
Katie at the bar was attentive and friendly! We got the walnut and pear salad and the California pizza. The salad dressing was great, but a bit light on the toppings. The California pizza was okay- felt like it was missing something.
google avatar

Fritzi G.

Yelp
Food is fresh and great ambience. Unfortunately, they kept getting our order incorrect. And then charged for the extra pizza. I think they were understaffed and didn't think it was going to be busy.
google avatar

Liz Valentina S.

Yelp
Don't believe the rating! This restaurant was awful. 1 hour waiting for drinks, one hour waiting for food and yet my food was not delivered correctly. I have an allergy and they messed it up. 30 mins for dessert and another 35 mins for the check. ONLY one competent very overworked server yet this is supposed to be a high end restaurant. The ambiance wasn't that either. The restaurant wasn't that clean and the bathrooms either. I'm not sure they would pass a health code there. The pasta was very basic and the tiramisu tasted like butter rather than coffee. I am very disappointed.
google avatar

Yelp
Good vibes and good food! Had the branzino and it was very tasty! I would order again. So nice sitting in the patio on a warm night.

Yelp
I've been here quite a few times, and normally it would have been a five star review every single time. Today, the service was a less than great experience. "Less than great" is nice, lol. First, the food is great. Every time. Today I had the spaghetti pomodoro and bruschetta. Unfortunately, I didn't care how good the food was because there were so many issues with the service. Trina was very nice but forgot what we ordered, then forgot to put in my appetizer (though she seemed to be blaming the kitchen, but then, again, couldn't remember what the appetizer was), barely checked on our table, didn't come by to get last orders before brunch ended, and wouldn't serve me another drink because brunch ended though I'm not sure what that had to do with me since the bar was still open. I'm typically very very lenient with service, but was pushed over the edge after I paid and she returned without my debit card after charging it and then had to go searching for it around the restaurant floor. Could have very well been an off day, because these were strangely silly mistakes, but it absolutely ruined my experience today. I look forward to coming here so it was disappointing. We did express our frustrations in person, but of course it didn't change anything. Just when we thought it was over, Trina took our parking ticket to validate it. After she confirmed that is was validated after we double checked (because at this point we felt the need to double check,) imagine out surprise when we try to leave and we had to pay because it wasn't validated at all. Is this punishment or what?!? Good food, though.

Yelp
Nice vibe to the place. Good selections to choose from and personable service. Can recommend.

Yelp
Came with a party of 8 for the patio. Manager said they don't seat parties of 8 on the patio. I said we are happy to split into 2 parties of 4. He said no and was very combative. Said you're still a party of 8. I asked him to explain. He said if he did that for us he'd have to do that for everyone. I asked again why it's a problem to have 2 separate tables and all he said was we can't sit a party of 8. No one was on the patio and he wouldn't seat us. See picture. We went to Yeppa next door. Unlike Taverna, they were polite and sat us in 15 mins even though they were packed. Service was great. Food was great. Management was great. Glad to give my money to them instead. Will never go to Taverna ever again. Too many better options in Atlanta where they treat you with respect.

Yelp
Lucy did an excellent job serving us, despite the fact that the restaurant was packed full of customers and she clearly had a lot of tables. She knew the menu well and accurately recommended food and dessert that we enjoyed. The burrata was great, the drinks were some of the best we've had, the entrees were to die for, and the Panna Cotta Lucy recommended was creamy and delicious. Please send our thanks to Lucy for the excellent service!

Yelp
An amazing Italian spot in Buckhead! Taverna has an elegant yet cozy Italian trattoria feel with a touch of rustic charm. The ambiance feels like a modern European bistro, with dim lighting that sets the perfect mood. Service was truly above and beyond. I ordered the Paglia E Fieno Pasta, and it was one of the best pastas I've had in the city. The portion sizes are hearty, making it well worth the visit. Can't wait to come back!

Yelp
Had late lunch on a Friday afternoon and was seated on the patio right away. The weather was perfect and the restaurant wasn't crowded at all. In fact everyone was seated in the patio area. Service was good. Our waitress was very attentive. The margarita was amazing! It's one of their signature drinks and I highly recommended it. The zucchini chips were made to order and I was happy they were hot and plentiful. The sauce they are served with was delicious. And I ordered the California pizza and substituted the chicken for shrimp; there was an up-charge of $5. I'm pescatarian so it was an obvious request...and it was delicious! The crust was thin and the pizza was fresh.

Yelp
TICKET #444825 TABLE #12, PARTY OF FOUR (4) ARRIVED: 11:45AM DEPARTED 01:54PM BILL: $252.66 TIP: $47.34 TOTAL AMOUNT PAID: $300.00 I decided to take my sister and her husband that were in town to BRUNCH at Taverna BUCKHEAD, since the last time they were in Atlanta two years ago, they enjoyed the "POLLO MILANSE" and on our last visit we all enjoyed the "COZZE DIAVOLA." Although the service was mediocre at best, I will ALWAYS tip the Server as long as they are respectful, and I Fully understand how hard SERVERS work for their minimum incomes. However, the FOOD was absolutely TASTELESS and my check will show that we tried a variety of different dishes with the results being the same, "Bland & Tasteless FOOD. I even ordered some dessert to alleviate the palate from the after effects of their substandard entrees. Since we travel and eat at locations throughout the nation and over seas, as well as a chain restaurant being only as good as the location where eating at the time, Taverna Buckhead has either changed Head Chefs since our last vist in 2022 at the BUCKHEAD location, or TAVERNA has had a decline in food quality and food standards as a corporation. Yelp
I came to Taverna for dinner over this past weekend, on Friday, with my fiancé and two of our other friends. We had never been here before, but have always heard about it, so we decided to check it out. We all got a drink each to start. I got the Southern Heat, the girls got the Lavender Refresher, and the other girl's fiancé got an Espresso Martini. My drink was really good. It was almost like a spicy margarita but had a little bit of a sweet element, which came from the passionfruit. The girls did not enjoy their lavender refresher. They said it was way too sweet. I even tried some, and I also agreed that it was way too sweet. The espresso martini was okay, but nothing special. They didn't even put any beans on the top, like how you normally see. Overall, the drinks were a miss for most of us. For food, we each got our own dish, and we could all grab a bite if we wanted. Before our dinner came, we were brought some bread and oil. It was soooooo good. The bread was nice and toasted, and had such a good crunch that paired excellent with the spice filled oil....we asked for another round of bread, because we loved it that much. For our mains, I got the Cacio e Pepe, and my fiancé got the California Pizza. The other couple got the Ravioli Maremmani and the Truffle Pizza. The portion sizes of everything were pretty big, so that was nice. My Cacio e Pepe was not good though. It was very chalky, and just way too over-powering, and not enjoyable at all. It just had too much going on, when I was expecting something much more light, but still flavorful. This was heavy and way too chalky. The California pizza was pretty good. It tasted fresh, and the avocado was an interesting add-on. I personally don't like avocado, but my fiancé does, and she enjoyed her pizza. I tried the truffle pizza, and didn't like it. Normally I'm a huge fan of mushrooms, but this pizza was all mushroom and nothing else. I almost forgot it was supposed to be a pizza. Just way too much on there. The Ravioli dish, was in my opinion, the best dish. It was tasty and hit on some good flavor notes. It had buffalo ricotta cheese and spinach inside, and was SO GOOD. We all actually agreed that this dish was the best dish out of the four. Overall, the experience and food at this place wasn't too special. The inside was nice, and you can sit on the patio if you would like, we sat inside though. The food just wasn't that great, and the drinks were kind of whatever too. They also imposed a mixed beverage tax, and we had no idea what that was. We had asked to speak to a manager too, and even they didn't really understand what that was either, so that left a really bad taste in our mouth. I probably wouldn't come back here again in the future. The menu is pretty big, but even then, I don't really care to try anything else, after most of our dishes were a dud.

Yelp
We had a recent Sunday brunch here. The ambience was casual chic and the service was quick. They are very specific about having your physical ID on you, if you want to order alcoholic beverages. They didn't accept my drivers license photo and hence I couldn't take advantage of the happy hour on the drinks. It's only $3 mimosas and same for aperol spritz. I got the avocado toast with salmon. It was standard. My friend got the kale salad and she liked it. I liked it enough to consider revisiting for their drinks later. Overall it was a good experience. Their menu seemed versatile without going over board. Prices were decent as well.

Yelp
A great spot for brunch or post trivia drinks in Buckhead. I've come to Taverna numerous times for drinks after winning trivia at Fado across the street. The drinks are always good and they have a nice wine selection too. We came for brunch recently in a group of 6 people. It was our server's first day and you could tell she was nervous but she did a great job! She was very attentive, my water glass was always full and she kept up with all of our requests! The food is really nice, I had a salad for brunch and it was your typical bistro-style salad. Nothing that stands out but the quality and timeliness of it was great. I stole far too many french fries from my friend's burger plate and they were excellent! The addition of fresh parmesan and parsley was welcome. All and all it was a solid brunch spot that isn't pretentious and is consistent.

Yelp
Small portions, food was cold when served, "freshly made noodles" did not taste so fresh. Service was kind, but clearly had too much on their plates which left for very long periods of time between talking to waitress. Ambiance was nice, neatly decorated, no complains on the aesthetic. Over all, overpriced, and disappointing.

Yelp
My wife and I tried this place while visiting Buckhead and we were disappointed in the food. The service was really great and the staff were super nice, but the flavors of the dishes we ordered were lacking. I order the Linguine Ai Frutti Di Mare, and there was almost zero seafood taste to the dish. The pasta tasted like it's from a box and the dish had almost 0 salt in it. My wife ordered the Spaghetti Alla Carbonara and it tasted more like mac and cheese than carbonara. It was overly saucey and also had 0?salt. However, the highlight of the meal was the squash zucchini chips and the black truffle aioli that they were served with as well as the french fries. But even the worst french fries are still good right. Giving this two stars based on ambiance, service, and fried food.

Yelp
I visited again recently and still enjoy this place but wanted to update my review to recommend the mussels, the sauce is wonderful if you enjoy a little spice. Taverna remains a convenient go to for me.
