Had a nice stop at this place on a Sunday night to check out their live music by Rick King & team. Great place for a casual night out on Taylor street.

We love this place and it is a very neighborhood place. Good beer selections and drinks are reasonable. I am also really excited about the live music and actually hearing some new local bands. Check it out if you are in Little Italy area. Any recent bad reviews because underage kids can't get in. Really sad to have this situation for a family run little bar that is just trying to make a nice place for neighborhood adults. Great place and owners are responsible adults. Also the plants in the bar are nice and they do enforce smoking outside rules so the air is super clean!!!

I love Taylor street tap. It is a great bar, with a neighborhood atmosphere that people frequent because they love coming back. Especially to see the owner, who’s there almost ever night; as well as the bartenders, Brian, Paul and Gray, with guest appearances from Olivia and Liam, among others. If you’re looking for a drink, some cool people to talk to, and maybe wanna get a game of darts in while listening to some amazing live music or vinyl, come stop by.

The owner and bartender working at the time are super freaking sweet and welcoming. I had a great time here and I highly enjoyed the personality’s of the workers. Also, I’ve been drinking a decent amount and the bartender got me a water without me asking. They care about you here and I just would like to thank them for that. Please support this business, they deserve it. .

I strongly dislike the staff for being so rude and arrogant and saying "We choose who we want to serve" to my friends, who were nothing but polite, wanting to have a good time to be treated in such disrespectful and unethical way, I have been to this bar before and have never had any complaints but my friends were visiting for the first time and had their entire night ruined because of the awful and inhospitable staff. This experience has changed me to never visit this bar ever again.

Paul was incredible, he was involved with almost ever conversation at the bar. Incredible drinks, and live music too!!! Have to check it out if you go to little Italy.

Cute place. Had a totally different vibe than I expected. Actually a cool dive bar. No food. BYO food. Good nice service.

Really awesome place to get a drink at. We had reservations across the street and our table wasn't ready so we walked in for a drink here while we waited and it was a good time. The bartender is nice, the music is good, the beer selection is good, and just a good vibe overall. Keep in mind the wine is just house wine so maybe stick to beers, other than that, great local spot

Small neighborhood dive bar. Bartender is very friendly and drinks are very reasonably priced! Good place to go with friends for a chill night. They have a dart board, and accept music requests on the machine.

Great low-key hang near Tri-Taylor/ Little Italy. Went here on a Saturday night and the place was half full. They don't have much, but if you're just looking to grab a beer and you're not too picky (only 4-5 options on tap), it's a very relaxed atmosphere to hang out and chat with friends. Plus, the bartender, Alexa, was super nice and friendly. Will definitely come back!

Taylor Street is the go to dive bar in Little Italy. Family owned, drinks only, live music, this is the epitome of a great neighborhood Chicago bar. When they don't have live music, they are playing records, or having an open mic stand up comedy night. They consistently have friendly patrons and bar tenders, and everyone is welcome. In an age where everyone seems to be competing to be the most trendy, it comforts me that a place like Taylor Street is alive and well. Come have a drink.

I like this place for a beer and for live music. Good selection of beers and lots of easy drinking mexican beer options. The music is not too loud and you can actually have a conversation or watch a game. I love a jute box. The place is dog friendly as they don't have food and there are lots of plants are an added bonus! It is just a traditional Chicago watering hole with good people and a fun vibe. Very good place to hang out.

If you are looking for a mainstream place STOP reading and do another search. This place is very cool. By cool I mean the bartender is the DJ on a record player. This is a Chicago local bar tended by what you should expect by Chicago attitude. While there was not a band there on the night I went I am sure it would only up the ante on how much fun one can have there. I am from Cleveland and this place immediately made me feel at home by decor and vintage bar style. Next time I am back in town I will definitely stop by for one more.

I am thoroughly pleased with The Taylor Street Tap. What a wonderful bar, full of fun times, and the kindest employees ever. This place should definitely be on your Chicago bucket list!!

Have been coming here for a few years, and I think it's one of the most social bars in the city. Lots of high-quality live music. Have come with a group of friends on several occasions, have also shown up alone and made new friends. This place is definitely a community space that draws a diverse bunch of customers from all over the city, the only thing they have in common is that they're interesting people. As for the drinks, they've had a robust cocktail menu in the past and recently added Guinness. I've always been more of a beer guy myself but have gone for the Guinness lately. Pours are excellent. I usually go for a different beer or cocktail as a second drink but have had a Guinness as my first.

This bar was definitely an experience. The male bartender was hammered and stumbling around and kinda useless. There's definitely some goodies in the basement (where he kept going).. We managed to get two drinks. Our first drink, the female bartender came over and took our order but we weren't shit after that. Had to fight to get the next. Everyone was doing shots, everyone (except us). A Blondie record was playing all night on a Friday.. Also, I'm not sure if the staff don't know what ginger ale is or if it was out but we ordered two rounds and both were vodka and a hint of tonic. Wasn't too upset because drinks were cheap. $10 for a cup of titos..The bar had an interesting vibe. It was certainly entertaining.. I'd go back.

This is a lovely little no frills bar. Has a friendly staff and frequently has live music that doesn't disappoint.

Was invited to this bar and will say I'm very impressed. First off I'm a simple guy, and the space is small and intimate but plenty to sit. I enjoyed the live blues, in which I found out that they play every Saturday. I had a custom cocktail that the bartender made for me, and a couple pbr's. It's a chill and relax bar, away from the high volume traffic area. Great quiet place to get away and enjoy a couple if you're in the area. Best things in life are simple and to the point.

Such a great neighborhood place! My friend lives in the neighborhood and I was visiting them. They said the spot is pretty new and super great - beers are all between $5 and $7, the bartender was super friendly, and it's a cozy place! If I lived in the area I'd say this would be my weekly hangout spot!

Great addition to Taylor street. Owner/staff is awesome and I have gotten a free shot almost every time I've been there. Very chill atmosphere and they let me eat my dinner there while I had a couple drinks. It's also about time that Little Italy has a spot with live music.

One of my favorite neighborhood bars. Bar staff are very friendly, drinks are quite reasonably priced, and there's live music nearly every night. If there isn't live music, they play vinyls on their record player behind the bar. Very cool, upcoming bar that I highly recommend to friends who are out in the area!

Absolute gem in the city. Friendly staff, great cocktails, and very relaxed atmosphere. Dylan the barkeep is a great guy, knows plenty about food and drink and possibly the nicest guy in the world.

Cool neighborhood bar. Nice open feeling. Drinks are verrrryyyyy reasonably priced. Apparently there is live music on the weekends, we'll have to check it out. If you're in the neighborhood this is a great spot.

My buddies and I hung out there and had a great time. Dave Herrero played live, and the old fashioned cocktails were some of the best we had.

Probably the best place on Taylor St. in my 5 years of living in the neighborhood. Very casual place, Easy going, Highly affordable, and a must visit.

Great addition to the neighborhood. The owner was manning the bar while we were there and made us some of the best(and strongest!) martinis we've ever had. Looking forward to visiting again.

This is the classic neighborhood bar where you can get a great beer, custom cocktail or a glass of wine and chill out in a fresh, clean and well lit atmosphere and watch the bustle of Chicago go by outside its panoramic windows. I enjoyed how the focus of the bar is about meeting new people and engaging in conversation rather that watching sports on a television set. The owners (Brian and Dylan) are usually behind the bar and are friendly and excellent bartenders. They have an intimate stage that hosts free shows on Saturday nights with Chicago Blues Legends like Jimmy Johnson, Dave Herrero and Donald Kinsey. I noticed that several people were playing chess and that they keep house chess boards behind the bar if anyone wants to get a game on. This has quickly become my favorite bar in Chicago.
