"Taylor’d BBQ in Decatur is already known for having tender, slide-off-the-bone ribs, but you’ll also find incredible wings with crispy skin and a rich, smoky flavor that goes deep. Any other place, we’d normally get them tossed in sauce, but here, we like to get them dry, so we can really get the delicious pit-smoked taste. " - demarco williams, juli horsford, jacinta howard

"The huge booths and fantastic sides (like collard greens with tangy vinegar and creamy mac-and-cheese) make Taylor’d BBQ in Decatur perfect for a big group lunch or dinner. But the smoked meats elevate this spot above most other BBQ spots. The chicken wings have crispy skin with rich, smoky flavor that goes deep, and the ribs, available only after 4pm, are Bobby Brown Roni-level tender." - demarco williams, jacinta howard

"You don’t have to be a grillmaster to be into smoked meats, but Taylor’d BBQ in Decatur should definitely give you a greater appreciation. The chicken wings have crispy skin with a rich, smoky flavor that sinks deep. And the ribs, which are only served after 4pm, are cooked until they’re incredibly tender—the meat slides off the bone like it just disowned it for becoming a Saints fan. With loads of great sides (like collard greens that have a tangy apple cider vinegar-ish kick) and big wooden booths and ample dining space, this place works well for a casual lunch or dinner with a big, hungry crew. Food Rundown Ribs The seasoning seeps deep down into the meat, making them chew-on-the-bone good. Wings The smoked wings here are a top contender in the city’s neverending wing wars. They’re plump, crispy-skinned, and the smoky flavor sinks into the meat. Mac-and-Cheese This isn’t winning any Auntie Awards, but it’s creamy and cheesy, so it works just fine. Collard Greens There are countless opinions on how to cook collard greens. If you’re into savory with a little hint of sweet tang (from apple cider vinegar), you’ll love these. Chicken Tenders You get two huge tenders the size of a water bottle. They are super crispy, and you can see the seasoning, which penetrates the chicken. These are great for the eaters in your crew who may not be into smoked meats. Waffle Fries Get these. They’re crispy, salty, and the perfect partner to any meat you choose." - Jacinta Howard

The food was great each time I've been there. The collard greens were my favorite side. They are a little spicy but still great! I have had the rib sandwich. (Awesome) The wings. (The bomb) The spud bowl. (A slam dunk) The cashier was great and the food didn't take long to get to our table. The atmosphere was good, with music playing that fit people that listen to many genres. Also, there were TVs where sports or news can be watched. The artwork for sale on the wall stood out, as I like the fact that they support artist.

Man, this place is great. If you go for breakfast, get there early as they stop serving at 10:30 or 11:00. Also, the biscuits are so good they may run out. Fresh squeezed OJ as well. Very much a casual, low key kinda place. For lunch or dinner they have a wide variety of BBQ!

I have been a customer of this restaurant since it opened, usually getting takeout bbq and sides at least once per month, and have dined inside the restaurant with others multiple times. I have tipped 20% probably every single time, even for takeout orders. The food has aways been good and my encounters with restaurant personnel, including some who appeared to be owners or managers, have always been positive, but yesterday I experienced the rudest treatment by the owner (or manager) that I have ever experienced at a restaurant in my entire life (I'm 65). It started with a trip to Taylor'd at 11:30 am to place an order for food for 5 to be picked up around 6 pm. After conversation with the person behind the counter, she called someone (apparently, the owner or manager) on the telephone about how to handle my simple request. The call was on the counter service person's phone on speaker so I could hear the conversation and was able to speak and be heard. After a very brief conversation, the owner/manager on the other end of the phone essentially screamed "GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!" in a very hostile and aggressive tone. This was after my reminders to the restaurant personnel that I've been a frequent customer since inception and I didn't think the request I was making was such a burden. So be advised...THIS BUSINESS DOES NOT RESPECT YOU OR VALUE YOU AS A CUSTOMER, no matter how long you have supported it. I'm doing as aggressively directed by the owner/manager...I'm taking my business elsewhere and suggest you do the same. Reply to response from owner: To be clear, I did not ask anyone to call you. If a call to you by your employee interrupted a meeting, I'm sorry but that's not on me. And your characterization of my interactions with your employee as "refusals" doesn't accurately describe the conversation I had with her. I'm happy to discuss. Please let me know how to get in touch.

My husband and my kids just ate here around 11am. Our first and last time. First appearance it's clean and the cashier seemed nice. First negative, my autistic toddler loves cheese and his sister does not. I ordered a kid burger and asked if they can just put the cheese on half the burger so I can split it between and them. The cashier laughed and was like no he's not gonna do that. I'm assuming the chef. Well the chef also gave us the most driest, flavorless, warm at best brisket sandwich for $10.50. Frozen waffle fries were a la carte for $5 more. They tasted more fresher than the old brisket. We also ordered the salad which was okay with blue cheese dressing and added the smoked chicken which was more flavorful and less drier than the old brisket. Overall I was just going to take the $50 loss but now my husband and I are feeling chills and are both have stomach issues as I write this review. I definitely would not recommend this bbq spot.

The staff was fast and cordial. The atmosphere is informal, but cloth napkins would be a bit much, anyway. I was there a little too early for the brisket. My burger and wings, however, were juicy and very tasty. This restaurant is definitely a good choice for hungry Atlantans.

My daughter enjoyed the Mac & cheese, it was bit dry to me. Other than that everything was spot on. They put their foot on those baked beans. The Brisket was cooked well & a I loved the Potato Salad ! I coming back for the ribs
