Tea at Shiloh Review - Arts District - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"For a relaxing escape after a drag of a week, there's Tea At Shiloh. It’s a reservation-only tea house in the Arts District that’s a fan of floor sofas and screen-free interactions. If you book the day pass for $37, you’ll get five hours of unlimited tea in a serene loft surrounded by exposed brick walls and barefoot introverts. After dark, this under-the-radar coworking space becomes a late-night lounge for insomniacs who do tarot readings. Candles and oat-colored lanterns give the room a soft glow, and all the couches fill with couples having deep conversations about tofu texture. The space is quiet and romantic, but never dull, especially on weekly live jazz nights." - Nikko Duren

Tea at Shiloh is one of those rare L.A. spaces that doesn’t just serve tea—it offers a full sensory experience. Tucked into the Arts District, this intimate, shoes-off sanctuary feels like the kind of place you stumble upon in a dream: dimly lit by lanterns, filled with mismatched couches, low tables, floor pillows, and the warm hum of conversation or live music. You’re greeted not with a menu but a question—what’s your intention for being here? Whether it’s reflection, connection, or creativity, they’ve set the stage for it. The tea is unlimited and intentionally blended with fresh herbs and botanicals like chrysanthemum and butterfly pea flower. You can order by the pot or glass, but most people go for the full experience (around $37) which includes snacks, art materials, and all the time you need to linger and let the day fall away. The space itself is small and cozy—part lounge, part living room, part temple. There’s often live music: think jazz, ambient piano, or something experimental but never intrusive. And unlike many L.A. hangouts, this one discourages phones and laptops, especially at night. It’s meant to be a pause, a pocket of analog peace. It’s hard to describe Tea at Shiloh without sounding a little poetic—because it’s that kind of place. A space for stillness, for play, for a different kind of socializing. Come with an open mind, and you just might leave with a little more than you arrived with.

Tea at Shiloh is an extraordinary tea house. But it is much, much more than a place to have tea. It's an absolutely enchanting, relaxing, nurturing space that can help you connect with yourself or others (should you choose the latter). I went alone and felt very comfortable. I both kept to myself and also made new friends. Some people were alone, too, though many came with friends/partners. Introvert or extrovert, feel like talking or wanna be quiet, you'll feel welcome there! There are two options: a day pass and a late night experience. I did both. The day pass lets you hang in the space all day (from 10 am till 3 pm). I did admin work on my laptop, used some art supplies (provided) for a project I'm working on, worked on a creative writing project, browsed through books on their shelf (great selection), and did some divination readings (there are multiple decks). Three kinds of very high quality, delicious tea were available (2 caffeinated and 1 herbal), and there was an unlimited supply, served by a wonderful host. The late night experience also has unlimited tea (2 herbal and 1 caffeinated this time, also served by lovely hosts), but the vibe is more textured with life music, dim (reddish) lights, and a social vibe. This vibe lends itself to spontaneous conversation, but also just the comfort of community if you don't feel like chatting. To be transparent, I'm writing a book about tea houses across the entire United States, and I actually few to LA (from my home in DC) just to try out this tea house, because they're doing something extraordinary and completely unique--giving people a night-time experience that feels safe and soulful, but also enlivening and really fun. Tea at Shiloh exceeded all my expectations. If you go, too, be prepared for something you've probably not seen before. In other words, this isn't like other cafes, lounges (or even tea houses) you may have tried. It's not a place to grab a quick Matcha or have a few cocktails. There is much more enchantment here. More possibility. It's an absolutely gorgeous space that can lift you higher without substances. It's a place that can actually help you transform. It's that powerful. Seriously. I cannot recommend this tea house more strongly. Check it out for yourself!

Tea at Shiloh is pure magic. The space is cozy, serene, and thoughtfully designed to feel like a true sanctuary. During the daylight hours, it’s especially beautiful — the natural light fills the room, making it the perfect place to relax, get some work done, or lose yourself in a good book. Every detail, from the calming atmosphere to the exceptional tea hosts and presentation, invites you to slow down and be present. It’s rare to find a place that feels this peaceful and inspiring. Tea at Shiloh is truly a hidden gem I can’t wait to return to again and again.

I’ve been coming to tea at Shiloh for over two years now, and this has transcended being just a place to have tea. The hosts and guests here truly elevate the experience. It’s a home away from home, a safe haven for weary souls, and a place to learn, connect and just be present. Truly a gem, a one-of-kind place. Cannot recommend it enough!

Google
I went here with my partner for their "Dreamy and Romantic" late nite tea. It was very chill and a pleasant experience with live mellow music. The hostesses were very kind and explained a lot about the teas they had personally blended. The vibe was nice and open with people chatting with each other and playing games. We made connections with other people there. A much better experience than a bar, with no hang over! If I lived in LA I would come here often.

I just had my first visit to Tea at Shiloh, and let me tell you, I'm already planning my return! As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by this wonderful, cozy vibe that made it super easy to settle in. The decor is charming and welcoming—I could seriously spend hours just soaking it all in! The staff were incredibly friendly, too! It felt like they were genuinely excited to help me find my perfect drink, which made the experience even better. So, if you're looking for a spot to chill with good vibes, awesome tea, and even enjoy some live music, you've got to check out the Tea at Shiloh✨

Stepping into Tea at Shiloh feels like wandering into a dream. The space itself is a poem- earthy, magical, and lovingly curated. Here tea is more than a drink it’s a ritual, a gentle return to self. All the hosts made sure we were taken care of. I had the best time connecting with new friends. I will be back soon!

Tea at Shiloh is my favorite place in LA. It is such a beautiful space and experience and a must visit place if you haven't been!! It's not a typical tea house, instead it is a beautifully curated revolving space that hosts a a variety of experiences and events. If you are looking for a third space that feels truly unique I would 100% recommend. Whether you are looking to connect, disconnect, learn something new or just journal, this is my favorite spot.

Yelp
It's a great place to relax with friends! The inside of the tea house is really relaxing and calming. They brew tea throughout the day and you get unlimited refills. On days without events you can ask for paper to draw, go there for studying, talking with friends, etc. They give you a plate of fruits or snacks while you are there as well! On nights with events, they will put it on their website when you can do fun activities that they have planned. I went during the day and they had a tarot card reader that did readings! Overall a fun place to relax with a great environment.

Yelp
Between and 3 and 4 star. Came on a Friday night. 45 a person for music and unlimited tea which I guess would be the equivalent of a night out at a bar typically. The music was described online as funk and r&b but it was not at all which disappointed myself and my group of 3 friends. The music was just slow, ambient and very chill. That being said it was a cute place. Kind of like a NY brick small loft vibe. Cramped by the end of the night as more people showed up. I guess it's a cool alternative to a cramped bar and you can have a chill conversation with people if you want to....but not sure if I would pay again to basically lounge in a living room. Also most of the seating is fabric... They give you unlimited tea w only 3 options. Considering the price and amounts of teas they had, we wished there were more options or a menu available. There are a few small areas to chill in... a small room... an upstairs area.. a table and some floor tables. There are watercolors and clay and tarot/conversation cards to use. If I come back I would do a daytime slot here instead of the late night one.

Yelp
My oh my... what a gem of a spot. My friend of 17 years who I pretty much consider my sister has been telling me about this spot for about a year. I finally had the chance to check it out last week and it was the best decision ever. It's by reservation only and I booked a ticket for the daylight hours. I knew they only served tea however I happened to be there when a lovely gal was holding a coffee popup with beans from maru. I believe Cami was her name. She carried such a vibrant and positive energy and I thoroughly enjoyed her explaining her craft with great enthusiasm. Trang welcomed me as soon as I walked in and gently explained how the entire place works. She was so calm and I could already feel relaxed just by her aura. Now on to describing this place. Imagine a scenario where you have a super rich friend in NYC who owns a gigantic loft handed down to him or her from their wealthy grandparents who own a bunch of galleries around the city. And you happen to have met this awesome friend and they invite you over anytime you want so you can pause to catch a breath and re-the-f*-lax as my husband likes to always tell me to do. For those of you who have seen White Collar - imagine you're Neal Caffrey who just ran into June. It's like that. Hehe. Anyway - love love love this space and this entire concept. They also hold certain themed nights which all revolve around a time and intimate space for introspection and deep reflection. I hope they open up a place like this soon in OC because I would love to stop by more frequently.

Yelp
Amazing experience. Arts District in Los Angeles reminds me of stumbling into a stunning environment in like say Bushwick, Brooklyn. Located in a former warehouse, Shiloh's tea room interior is a magical blend of gentle comfort. We were met at the door by Trang who expertly guided us through the tea and process. She instantly had us feeling very comfortable in the incredible chill atmosphere that others have described and pictured here on Yelp. Teas we sipped were amazing along with small fruits to nibble. We so enjoyed our afternoon tea time at Shiloh's. While this was our first visit to Tea at Shiloh, it certainly will not be our last.

Yelp
Such a thoughtfully decorated and relaxing space that's perfect for unwinding or getting some work done. Super clean, with a warm and welcoming vibe that made me feel at home. They had three custom tea blends, each unique from one another and clearly curated with care. Only downside is the price--definitely on the higher end for what it is. Because of that, I probably won't be back, but I don't regret the experience at all

Yelp
This is my go-to place for relaxing, productive workdays. It's so hard to find a sanctuary for deep-work these days and coffee shops are just so noisey and expensive. Tea at Shiloh provides a welcome refuge from the chaos outside and is a perfect space to chill during the day and get work done. I've also LOVED their Late Night sessions for sober date nights and art classes. Staff are also incredible. Shout out to Trang for being a tea angel and such a welcoming presence in the space.

Yelp
I visited Tea at Shiloh several months ago. I was in DTLA late in the evening and wanted a place that was not a bar. I had seen Shiloh's posts on Insta and decided to check it out. Well thought out and beautifully decorated space. Wonderful intention behind this concept. But after my evening there I had two main thoughts. A) This is the kind of place I'd enjoy more if I was younger and didn't have a nice home/space of my own. Like if I had roommates etc. B) The first point is clearly why it attracts a younger crowd but then at $40 a reservation, it's way too expensive for your average 20 something year old! You don't get much for the price of admission. And the neighborhood was shady as fuck. Like walk into the wrong alley and get murdered kind of shady. Seriously. I opted to park my car at a lot with an attendant for this reason and I walked to and from the lot very fast. The place even has a bouncer type of security. So would I ever go again? I think only if I need a place to take out a sober acquaintance/friend (coz it's all just tea) or if I want to attend one of their workshops or performances. Otherwise, this is not worth your money. TLDR; Don't go out of your way to come here just coz you were enamored by what you saw on social media. You'd be in for a disappointment. For a really lovely tea house concept where you can relax and enjoy the vibe and not worry about the safety of the neighborhood, go to Steep in Chinatown.

Yelp
3.5stars It was a really cool vibey place. Like a small loft style apt with big oversized floor pillow seating all over. Several nooks, dim lighting, and a one man guitar jam sesh. A handful of small groups clustered around to chat, play conversation games/cards, watercolor paint. Endless tiny cups of tea. Cons: $50 ticket for vibes is more for people in their 20s, older folks have cozy at home. And though the tea is bottomless, they give u tiny traditional cups so u keep having to get up to get more. The place is in a super duper sketchy alley & me & my friend were super anxious about our cars and walking over. Warning: If you are socially anxious or prefer distance from strangers you wont enjoy this. It doesn't get crowded but ppl may make their way into a space sharing a sofa cushion with you. Be sure you like tea because they offer no honey/sugar or other additives.

Yelp
3.5/5.0 Summary: It's a crowd these days! If you're in your 20s and looking for a non-alcoholic, laidback but social, non-party atmosphere, this may be your place. If you're looking for a ~quiet~ place to focus and sip tea, you may not find it as enjoyable. I have been to Tea at Shiloh 3 times. Once way back in 2022 on their opening weekend. That night was very magical, good conversation, but also plenty of space to stretch out and relax, and sit and read by myself. It wasn't crowded and it only cost $35. I came back again in mid 2023, and the vibes were similar. I think the ticket prices had risen slightly, and there was now a live ambient artist playing. But it was still not too crowded and I had a pleasant time. I just went back the other day in April 2025, and this place was absolutely jam packed. There was nowhere for me to sit. I sat in the middle of a walkway for half an hour until a couple people left and I could move to their spot. As a result of being more crowded, it was quite a bit noisier. My girlfriend said it felt like walking into a house party--at least in terms of the amount of people close to the door/landing area. It's not crazy loud or anything. First, I am really glad for the team to see their success and popularity. Second, I'm not upset about my experience, I just had different expectations based on past visits. I will also say that the crowd was pretty young and pretty social (I'm in my 30s). I was hoping to get some reading in and drawing, but it was too dark once the music started, and too cramped to feel relaxed. But if you're coming to socialize and maybe make new friends in your 20s, this could absolutely be the space for you.

Yelp
Hands down one of the best places in LA to connect with other people. Every time I come here I have such a beautiful time. Shiloh and her team are the most amazing facilitators for this insanely gorgeous space. Whether you're coming to learn about indigenous herbs and teas, doing a women's or men's workshop, or even just stopping by during daylight hours, you will have a very special time connecting with amazing, talented people. Special shoutout to Nico and Tanya too! Love love love Tea at Shiloh!!

Yelp
Loved the vibes! I've heard so much about Shiloh through Tiktok and my friend. It was my first time and I went during Daylight Hours. Upon entering, everyone has to take off their shoes, and the host gave a quick overview of the seating areas, where the restroom is, and the teas. Based on who's hosting, the teas will be different, but my host brewed oolong tea, hojicha tea, and this unique blend that tasted like chocolate. I was also served a bowl of sliced fruits as well. I sat on the sofas and did some work while enjoying the hot tea. Music was playing very softly in the background and everyone was very quiet, so it was a relaxing experience. The sofa was so comfy I wanted to take a nap. The restroom was adorably decorated as well; I wanted to take inspo for my bathroom at home. It is a day pass, so you can come and go within the hours. Parking was fairly easy to find. I would love to come again but I'm not sure it's worth the price of $35 in my opinion. Definitely worth coming once for the experience though!

Yelp
Overall, the aesthetics and environment that Tea at Shiloh have to offer are cozy and creative. I, however, thought the price was quite steep (~$45) for what was actually offered and imagined the space would be bigger. Additionally, I did a tarot card reading during the Late Evening hours and didn't realize that was an additional cost.

Yelp
Came on a weekday for daytime tea. I arrived at 10AM and was able to find parking in the alley without any issues. Because it was bright outside, it was easy to find the entrance with the directions sent via email. The inside is smaller than I expected but it was home-y, cozy, and relaxing. We had 3 tea options to drink from and got unlimited refills. They also gave us some fruits to eat while hanging out. The only cons I have are that each visit is extremely pricey and I can see the experience being not super enjoyable if there are a lot of people. Thankfully when we went, there were ~10 people which allowed every guest to have their own space and enjoy the ambience and atmosphere.

Yelp
Unlimited tea with your ticket! Went on a night with live jazz music, the ambiance was so calming and there were painting supplies at a long table for people to mingle and make art. There's a small loft above a spiraling staircase and you can see the entire room from above. Loved the dried fruit offering paired with the 3 different teas. A little pricey but worth a try - the vibes/setup are worth it to me. Bring a book, a friend, or come alone - a lovely vibe in all ways.
google avatar

Jessica R.

Yelp
We found this place looking for outings that didn't revolve around drinking. Price felt a bit high but the vibe is really cozy and lovely and the space is amazing. The night we went they had a shamisen performer which was a very cool experience. However, this might not be the best place to go if your group is introverted. It did kind of feel like being at a party where you don't know anyone and everyone seems cooler than you lol....Some people thrive in that environment but I felt a bit awkward the whole time. One thing I will emphasize is WEAR SOCKS! I forgot about the no-shoe policy and made the mistake of wearing sandals so I had to be barefoot in the space. This didn't bother me until I had to use the restroom. Even if the restroom is clean and well decorated it is still a public restroom and I felt very icky walking in it with my bare feet. It has been a bit since I've been there so maybe now they provide something now to protect your feet in the bathroom but idk.

Alison S.

Yelp
Magical! Totally unique space for gentle, free spirits to gather and either socialize or enjoy being alone together. There are various settings for art, reading, or lounging amidst ambient music, colored lights, and good vibes. Three teas were offered, created for the event and masterfully blended for a smooth and nuanced flavors - classic balanced, energizing cinnamon, or nerve calming lavender. Very discrete location with good food nearby, parking is watched by the host for extra safety. Wish this existed near me! Will definitely be back for more every chance.

Yelp
Like many recent customers, we found Tea at Shiloh via social media and found ourselves enamored with its atmosphere from viral clips alone. The reservation process is fairly simple: we booked Saturday Late Night Tea (7-11 PM) on a Tuesday through their website and received a confirmation email with a few QR codes a day or two later. I would recommend booking a few days in advance because their weekend spots do fill up pretty quickly. We ended up getting there at around 8:30 but found the actual tea shop really hard to locate. It's in the very back left of an alleyway with no apparent signage, and an unmarked security car was sitting in the middle of the street when we pulled into a spot. A person came out of the car to scan our codes and pointed us to the door, which was super helpful because we wouldn't have found it without him. First thing you'll notice is the very permeating scent of diffused incense - so be warned if you have a sensitive nose. Staff were incredibly welcoming and made us feel like we were at a family reunion, and the activities consisted of things like watercolor painting, puzzles, and little bits of clay. The tea was definitely interesting - three selections with flavors ranging from butterfly pea concoctions to one that tasted like pho broth. Snacks unfortunately had run out by the time we got there, but we saw people eating strawberries out of those little disposable sauce containers. We had a very relaxing time, but the $35 price tag and location (1 hr+ drive) make it a little inaccessible for regular visits. I would definitely recommend trying it at least once - it's got to be someone's cup of tea!

Yelp
Tea at Shiloh is simply a sensation. Known for its tranquil space and unique concept, Shiloh opens its doors to a crowd looking to find some serenity, joy, and comfort within their day. It is truly a community-based ambiance that inspires conversation, rest, and creativity. The spaces are adorned with gorgeous plants, comfy pillows/bedding, and dim lights. It is a place to sip on tea and be challenged to embrace stillness. This is one of the most unique places ever.

Yelp
I was really looking forward to the opening of Tea at Shiloh for months before they officially opened! Unfortunately I have to agree with Brenna's review below. The space is beautiful, with ambient instrumental music and endless tea, but $35 is still a steep price for the experience. We had booked the 10am-3pm daylight hours session and came around 12:30pm, and all the comfy cushion spots were taken. All that was left was the table with stools, or having to squeeze in on the cushions with other visitors. I also felt like the snacks were lackluster - a few grapes and a cracker. There was also another trio that came in soon after and sat next to us, talking very loudly as if they were at brunch... It was very distracting and hard to tune out as I was trying to read. Would've been great if the staff could have told them to lower their voices given how the space is marketed. I do appreciate Shiloh's mission to build community and a creative space for people, and understand there maybe be costs struggles. At the current price point for what you get, it just felt more like a one-time-experience and not something I can afford again. If you're able to splurge on it, I do recommend getting there at the beginning of your session to secure a good spot!

Yelp
Came here with my boyfriend for a nice, meditative night, but I frankly did not find my experience worth the amount I paid per person. The amount of people crammed into the space felt like a fire hazard and was really a bit overwhelming as it was hard to find a place to sit and relax. They have activities set up such as water coloring/painting, tea drinking, reading, or even sleeping, but this is something you can easily do at home without having to pay to go elsewhere and be surrounded by strangers. We came in towards the last 2 hours and their watercolor station only had water and color pencils. We had to ask for paints three times and the employees seemed totally confused or in another dimension, especially since everyone else was just "painting" with water for the past few hours LOL. Overall, this seemed like one of those gimmicky LA "exclusive" hipster concepts that is not my cup of tea.

Yelp
Cutest Ambiance ever. Greeted at the door by one of the hosts, nicest person ever. Love that they give unlimited tea and little snacks while you enjoy your time there. Went for the romantic night. Would definitely go back 100%!!!

Yelp
Tea at Shiloh is such a unique experience! Located in the Art District, this small but cozy spot has a reservation only entry fee for unlimited tea and a plethora of nooks and comfy spots to hang. The vibe was both good as a date spot, and also to casually meet new people. The only thing I was hoping for was more food. The entry ticket said there would be snacks but they only had a few grapes out when I had my reservation. The tea was really good! There were two custom herbal blends and one lightly caffeinated black tea.

Yelp
parking There's actually ample free parking here - a plus and blessing in LA. When you turn to go into the street, it's all parking for that circle of businesses on that street. although I was initially skeptical going at night, solo, and as a girl, after walking around I felt safe in this area, compared to other parts of what you would expect in DTLA. disclaimer - of course have spatial awareness of your surroundings any time etc for peace of mind, feelings of safety is relative to each person etc. I'd recommend parking closest to their entrance. entrance To avoid having difficulty locating the exact entrance, the best thing to do is enter the exact coordinates provided in your email reservation into your phone. There is a tall door entrance with a tiny lantern on top. what to wear There's a shoe rack at the entrance and they will ask you to remove shoes. Wear socks and layer up so you don't get cold. Note that I did go in the winter though. dress comfortably. The interior is a nice cozy setup. Blankets, pillows, comfy interior design. teas There are 3 teas offered the night I went. I went for the Gratitude Group collaboration with the workshop theme Art of Dating Yourself. It was a great event, I loved the soundbath, discussions, etc. rsvp / event notes Note that it is pricey if you go just for tea and tea only where there is no workshop event - So I'd advise against going at a regular tea night. Pick a reservation with a themed workshop to get the most bang for your buck. There are a lot of fun themes they have!! It makes me want to go back. Lots of interesting self-care themed workshops - besides Art of Dating yourself I saw ones involving Gua Sha skincare, dreams, etc. also jazz nights. Reservations can get sold out quickly but they do have a Discord for reselling tickets if you wanted to buy it from someone else. final conclusion I'd go back if there was another fun workshop that caught my eye - I wouldn't go often or regularly though since it can be pricey.

Yelp
Cozy tea house hidden in the nearby arts district. Plenty of room to either catch up with friends, or work there from remote. All tea. No alcohol. Lots of bright light and very spacious. Downside- parking is limited. If you come right at 10 when they open, there will be parking outside.

Yelp
Unfortunately the tea, ambiance, and vibes are not worth the lack of safety in this location. It is extremely unsafe, I would not recommend anyone to walk to their car alone or even with a group in the evening hours. Returned to our car with the windows shattered. The small cup of tea and little plate of fruit was not worth the price. There was a lack of connection / community amongst others in the space. You can recreate the vibe at home with dim lighting, floor pillows, and hot tea!

Yelp
Sadly disappointed in this place. Even though the ambiance was great and cozy, Shiloh doesn't really deliver. Most of what they offer you can just do at home. For it being our first time, we got there about ten minutes early and knocked on the door as instructed, to which someone very rudely told us to leave. Totally fine as we understand we were early, but for a community who promotes inclusivity and understanding--we didn't really feel welcomed after that. :( Tea was subpar with no additions available to make it the way you like it and the snack situation was a little sad: five blueberries and a peach slice in a cup for my group to share. Other patrons were very nice but the vibe is fairly pretentious. Shiloh wasn't our cup of tea, but I appreciate what they're trying to do in a city where many are looking for community. Hopefully this place works for you and your needs :)

I really wanted to love this place. Day session. Crowded. One guy talking incredibly loudly. One sick girl who could NOT stop coughing. That's on her to not come into a space that's meant to be rather chill. But at what point does the establishment respectfully ask them to leave? I mean, not only are you disturbing the peaceful atmosphere, you're spreading disease. Why would they allow that? Tea houses and mindfulness are meant to go hand in hand. The people running the place should manage that. Crucial. Found myself thinking it's cozier/more vibes at home. $35 bucks for... ? Eh. Maybe the nighttime social offerings is where this place shines.

Yelp
1/10really bad place, hard to find the parking place, hard to find the store. Every one in the store giving a judgmental side eyes to us, really uncomfortable vibe!!! 店员一直在给脸色看 拍了5-10分钟照片过来说不能拍照了 可小红书上大家都是去拍照的啊...

Yelp
If you want to have the most LA expirence of your life look no more farther. Love crystals? Want to meet more trust funded individuals ? Want to get your tarot read by a Ohio transplant with a valley girl accent? Want amazing tea and music? It's all here!!!!

Yelp
The ambiance was nice and felt very vibey, but at the end of the day the tea was mid and the place was small. It's a warehouse with some decorations. Definitely a good place to visit once while your on vacay or once a year if you live in the city.

Yelp
The ambience is really nice and the tea was also solid! The host was also very kind upon checking in and gave us some fruits to snack on! A few things to keep in mind would be that finding the location may be a little hard and it can get a little crowded so I recommend going to your session as early as possible to be able to grab a nice spot. Overall, it was a really healing place to have quality time with friends!!

Yelp
If you are in the LA area and looking for a new relaxing, therapeutic experience I strongly urge you to go here!! The tea was yummy, and there was so much to do. From clay sculpting to water color painting to playing cards. And the workers were so nice in guiding us through this journey as a first time visitor. I understand most of the reviews are negative about the price of $37 given that there wasn't food to purchase and the tea selections only consisted of 3. As a college student, I completely understand this isn't an experience that you can be easily purchased often, but I think that's the beauty in it. Let me provide a counter argument and say that this was a type of experience you need to experience at least once in your life if you are able to. I genuinely cannot put enough words into how relaxed I became visiting this place. I will without a doubt be coming back here and influencing my friends to try this themselves.

Yelp
Very homey and cozy unique spot in la, paid $37 for entry which included unlimited tea and a tiny shared plate of fruit, very nice to go and lounge in and journal, they provided things like puzzles and tarot cards, recommend bringing camera and arts and crafts!

Yelp
A wonderful place! Every detail is curated to give you the exact vibe you desire! Luscious specialty teas and snacks round out your experience. You should go!

Yelp
I love this place! I spent literal hours here. I spent my time building a Lego set, checking out their tarot cards and books, sipping my tea, and writing in my journal. You get unlimited hot tea and there is a happy hour where you also get a matcha latte! I love the vibe here and I will definitely be returning!

Yelp
Shoes are not allow, witch I love but the floor a very cold concrete. Every one at our party was cold they have the AC way to strong and when I suggested the team to lower it they said there are blankets there. The pictures are amazing but the interior is disappointing. The fee for tea was $46.00 but you only get tea nothing else. They could have better customer service.

Yelp
I make it a point to stop here whenever I come to LA. Absolutely in love with the energy here, truly no where else like it. I understand how some could see the price as steep for what you physically get (tea and a light snack) but I think some forget the price of experience. It's comparable to the price of what going out and buying literally two drinks or a light dinner would be in LA. You're paying for the price of coming into a sacred and beautifully curated space. That's my take, everyone has their own experience-- I don't want to discredit anyone else's opinion. Everytime I leave, I am renewed with a love for human connection and appreciation for the hosts, Shiloh will forever have a place in my heart and I will keep coming back :)

Yelp
I attended a sound healing event here called Cosmic Soundscape a few weeks ago. The owner is really nice and welcoming. And the sound healing practitioner was really kind as well. When you walk into this place, you can see that the ambience is very calming, soothing, relaxing, and inviting. I love the style of the furniture and the decor. And I appreciate that there is plenty of space to relax and lounge on. At first, I thought we were going to just go ahead and start with the sound healing. But, there was time after they allowed people in the doors to just chill and relax. So, I took the opportunity to drink cups of tea while I journaled and read a book. Once the sound healing finally started, I felt relaxed and grounded even though there was car alarms going off outside. I enjoyed the soothing sounds of the singing bowls, gong, chimes, etc. The herbal tea was alright. And unfortunately, I had an allergic reaction to it. My husband almost had to take me to the ER. This was the first time I had an allergic reaction to herbal tea so it made me really sad. All-in-all, despite the allergic reaction, I think this place is great when you attend an event such as this Cosmic Soundscape that has a sound healing and tea. But, in my opinion, for the price, there isn't much selection of tea. There is no menu. You just go with what is offered at the tea bar. If you're looking for a tea house with a menu selection of numerous teas to choose from to drink, this isn't the place.

Yelp
I deeply enjoyed the night I spent here. The staff was lovely, and I found the whole experience to be both relaxing and engaging. I will definitely return.

Yelp
I may return if there is an event happening, but I will never go just for $50 tea. There were only three selections of teas and the flavors were weak. Snacks were supposed to be included, which I asked for them and the hostess said she'll bring them to me later. She never did. it's much smaller than it looks in Instagram advertisements and photos, but it's a cool vibe. It was a total waste of money, I'm giving it two stars because of the ambience.

Yelp
Wonderful ambience super friendly staff and very cool space to catch up with a friend or casually chat with new people. However the price point is quite expensive for the experience and what you get. I would go back but don't know if I'd pay that again.

Yelp
Slow tea is something this world needs more of. Thank you, TAS, for providing a space to truly slow down.

Yelp
It is located in an unsafe and overpriced for its location. In my opinion its isn't worth it. It is cozy and environment itself is nice, but i can easily recreate this at home. I was hoping service would have a little more pizzazz for the $40 pass, but it was meh.

Yelp
The tea house is a really beautiful concept, it is expensive just for tea, but when you think about bars that have a cover charge just to get in, I get it. I was expecting to be able to choose which tea I wanted, but they brew 3 teas for the night and that's all you have to choose from. Also thought there would be snacks but that wasn't offered. It is really a beautiful concept, could be better executed. It was $35 for the open mic night. I had a great time, it was so cool to be around so many talented creatives, but then I walked out to my car and my back window got bashed in and my car broken into. Be careful, don't leave anything in your car.

Yelp
i absolutely adore this space ~ i hosted my art show and film screening here, and still look back on the memories! if you are ever in need of a private event space and venue, definitely book the tea house x annex!

Yelp
I had the chance of attending tea at shiloh's the very first day it opened to the public! their 'soft' opening (2021). I had been following her on IG for years and I was so excited to see her ideas come to fruition. I LOOOVED it. Maybe that's why I appreciated it so much more... I am already familiar with the area (art's district) so I'm personally used to making sure I don't bring valuables in my car or use an uber OR park in a parking structure nearby and uber there (not convenient, it's all for safety reasons). I recommend bringing one other person just because the entrance and security situation at the time was a little confusing and funny overall. So, upon being there for 1 hr or so it was a dream to me. There were so many like-minded people (creative, friendly, positive, vulnerable, etc..). It felt like a party with my favorite people ever and if I'm not mistaken THAT was her vision... A safe creative space with like minded people to have fun, learn something new, create art, meet amazing people, and leave feeling refreshed, which is exactly how I felt. I never felt so comfortable around new people lol. I was laying down with a group and we were passing around grapes and water, reading books, telling stories. NO PHONE IN SIGHT lol. Only until an artist began singing, she had a violin & everything it was great. After the performance my friend and I went into that little hub cave and read some pages of a book that was lying around and soon after we left and I thanked and congratulated the founder. Tea was very good and there isn't much food, so plan to eat before or after :).

Yelp
There is no phone number for the business, the reservation information is a bit misleading and you have to wait 2-3 business days for an email response... Bad experience and I didn't even go to the place.

Yelp
Came in to do work and have tea for a couple of hours with some friends. The people working here were sweet, but be a little cautious if you're coming in expecting an actual tea house experience! They only had three different teas on the day we came in and we were offered a small plate of berries as well as some crackers and cookies. There isn't food or drinks to purchase though. All the tea and small bites are included in the ticketed price. The work space is okay... it seemed that other patrons were mostly just here lounging and enjoying the atmosphere. There's only one table for working while most other seating was made up of couches and seating cushions. The space is cute and creative but not the most practical, so I'd probably only recommend coming in for leisure.
