Teabar is a fantastic spot that offers a variety of dairy alternatives and high-quality, locally sourced ingredients. They take pride in using the freshest, small-batch products, and over half of their drinks are served in reusable mason jars for those enjoying their drinks on-site.
While they are best known for their matcha, Teabar also has an exciting range of sparkling teas and tea lattes to choose from. However, the matcha truly stands out—smooth, sweet, and with a delicate, buttery mouthfeel. Sourced from a family farm in Uji, Japan, it’s shipped fresh every month, making it perfect for both lattes or sipping on its own. If you enjoy fruit teas, you can add boba or a sweetened fruit purée (mango, strawberry, guava) combined with jasmine tea and milk. The mango is a personal favorite! Don’t forget that you can request extra sweetener at no additional charge.
Teabar’s take-home matcha is also reasonably priced, so you can enjoy the premium quality at home. The staff is always friendly, eager to help, and more than willing to recommend something new or assist first-timers in finding the perfect drink. As a regular, I can confidently say that their matcha is top-notch, and I recommend it to anyone new to matcha. You can even take home their matcha or the entire matcha set (which includes a prong whisk, ceremonial matcha, whisk holder, & a bowl ) available in the shop or online.
The owner is incredibly kind and often pops in to serve drinks herself, adding a personal touch to the experience. Recently, they’ve teamed up with a skincare brand for a limited-edition drink called the "Berry Matcha." This delicious creation combines vibrant green matcha shaken with Oatly and is topped with a refreshing raspberry-strawberry cold foam. The oat milk adds an unexpected sweetness that complements the matcha perfectly without overpowering the flavor.
In addition to their drinks, Teabar also makes their own house milks and boba daily, ensuring every drink is freshly made to order. If you love chewy boba, you're in for a treat! They also offer merch at the shop and online, along with freshly baked goods. I highly recommend Teabar—it’s a place I’ve been a fan of since day one!
