Thai BBQ, Tom Yum noodles, sweet & savory snacks, slushy desserts
"This all-day Thai snack shop in Elmhurst has lots of outdoor seating and two frozen desserts that are worth going out of your way for. The first is a traditional shaved ice with a whirlwind of textures and toppings like corn, beans, boba, and grass jelly. The second is the Rooty Tooty, a shaved ice-adjacent slushy dessert, which comes in Thai tea, Ovaltine, and red and green "flavors." The slush base is covered with chunks of soft bread, corn flakes, and condensed milk." - kenny yang, carina finn koeppicus

"I noticed TeaGu Cafe among the vendors at the one-year anniversary market, contributing to the diverse food offerings that drew a large crowd." - Minh T. Truong
"Teacup Cafe is the kind of place you’d want to hang out every day after school if you lived in the area while you were a teen. They play Thai pop music and have cute booths and outdoor tables that seem ideal for talking about your latest crush with your closest friends, and you can get a huge portion of very good fried chicken and chewy, deeply green chive cakes for $15. If you consider dessert to be a meal, a very good alternative is to get a shaved ice with all the toppings for $12. There’s corn and beans in it, so even though it’s a “dessert” it doesn’t have to be." - Carina Finn
"I value Tea Cup Cafe as Elmhurst’s most modest Thai spot: cooking on two hot plates behind a high counter, picnic-table seating, and an open front on nice days; the menu runs from coffees and sweet cold teas to fruit-filled crepes, Thai toasts lathered with sweetened condensed milk, and daily noodle and soup specials (I’d order the delicate fish rice soup again)." - Eater Staff
