7/10. Quaint store with wide tea selection. Huge profit margins on teas, I expected a pot to be refillable since you’re literally just topping water with the tea leaves. But they just give the plain tea and that’s it. Could learn a thing from the Chinese. Still, tasty teas, and a downstairs filled with many Black focused books. Can probably host 15-20 people in both floors. Though most are couple tables. Nice fusion music played. They had very limited food options when we arrived, but that’s okay. Staff were alright, the nice counter lady Risa was very pleasant to interact with. Come here for a decent tea experience.

Google
Absolutely adored the atmosphere of this place. I wish I had decided to get the pot of tea because I was hoping to have the tea cup or glass mug experience. 🫖 There was an event so I couldn’t try the thing I originally wanted, but really enjoyed the vegan barbecue sandwich! I’m not up that way very often but I’ll try to make an exception sometime soon because it was a really cool place. Can’t remember how I originally found out about this place but I’m so glad that I did.

Google
Fantastic tea spot! The tea selection is amazing and it is so well brewed. The scones are so delicious! If you haven’t yet, go support this amazing small business!

Google
What a gem! Excellent staff all the way around with a nice tea selection. The rhythmic tea experience was lovely so I highly recommend that!

Google
Beautiful place, delicious tea, infused, cocktails, and amazing service! I did not get any food this time around, but I couldn’t help over here. The family close to me raving about the quiche. Definitely would return here!

DIEGO Balderas

Google
The owners were very welcoming and kind, and the artwork/books downstairs were artistic! The tea was beautiful and warm, and the scones were sweet and cute! I would definitely recommend.

Google
This place is remarkably good. We had a lovely high tea. (Tip: if you’re doing high tea, budget at least 2-2.5 hours as they make everything fresh and you’ll want to relax and enjoy things slowly.) They were super kind and accommodating about my dietary restrictions. The quiche was fresh and delicious, with a fresh berry salad on the side. The tea selection was beautiful- we were delighted with every new dessert we tried (especially the lemon bar and caramel macaron). Thank you so much!🫖☕️

Google
Chill atmosphere, and they steep the loose leaf teas in a clear fishbowl-vessel on the bar [upstairs] too perfection. I tried the China White Silver Needle tea, and by recommendation of one of the staff who was very knowledgeable in her expertise of the nature of her products, she recommended it hit rather than iced (I know, even in this summer heat!) because of how delicate the white tea blossom base would be. Her advice was SPOT on, as the flavor was very subtle, and would have been easily washed out/diluted by ice. Had a great experience, and while I wasn’t up for brunch this morning, O tried the Candied Yam Tea Cakes by recommendation of my cashier, and they were Delicious. This establishment welcomes you to take a moment out of your day to enjoy the simple pleasures of a superb cup o’ tea. Highly recommended!

Yelp
Such a lovely spot to unplug! The staff is super friendly and knowledgable about the wide variety of teas (available hot or iced) and there are delicious sandwiches, scones, and other treats available to order. Call ahead if you have a bigger group because downstairs is sometimes used for events and there are only a few tables upstairs. Also allow plenty of time to get the full experience! This isn't a place to pop in and out of quickly if you're dining in. It was worth the wait for our food. My turkey sandwich was so delicious and satisfying. The Yellow Submarine probably would have been more flavorful if I ordered it hot, but I got it iced and it was still refreshing. My sister ordered the Vegan BBQ sandwich and said it was amazing.

Yelp
Go to TeaLee's for an authentic taste of Five Points! With a nice selection of tea, this cafe also offers coffee, wine, cocktails, etc. We tried two unique teas and were not disappointed. For food, we had a vegan bbq jackfruit toast and a curry egg toast and were both pleased. The cafe also offers quiches, scones, and plenty of other items. I'd like to come back to try their Sunday brunch and their high tea. The teahouse/cafe looks small upon entry, but deceivingly so: there's a much larger area downstairs, and it's very pleasant! With a couch, tables and chairs, artwork you can purchase, and bookshelves of books you can purchase, there's plenty of space to sit, sip your tea, and relax. I've heard that there's sometimes live jazz performances here, so I'd like to return for that too. Definitely check it out! It's a truly local business with good food/drinks, good prices, good service, an all-in-all nice concept, and it's Black woman owned. The staff were all very friendly. There's something for everyone there!

Yelp
Amazing service! Awesome food with a wide variety , extremely friendly staff. 10/10 highly recommend! Definitely coming back when back in Denver :)

Yelp
I really can't put into words the amount of love and joy my visit to TeaLee's Teahouse brought me. It was my last day visiting Denver for an extended business trip and I was super hungry but it was Mother's Day and many area breakfast spots were full. I decided on a whim to check out TeaLee's Teahouse. Parking was easy to find, which is a plus in downtown Denver. When I walked in a sweet woman asked if I had a reservation, which of course I did not, but I explained that my flight leaves in a couple of hours and happened to find her spot on Google for black owned areas. As I looked around there were "reserved" signs on all the tables, and she explained they had a special Mother's Day brunch event, and I fully expected to be turned away. However, to my surprise the nice lady seated me. I was approached by another beautiful lady, who took my order. For Mother's Day they had an assortment of quiche and salad available. The place is small so they don't have a major "kitchen". I ordered an amazing cup of Moroccan Honey Chai and their crab and shrimp quiche. While I waited I chatted with the ladies who worked at the store. The food...omg..that quiche was divine. I didn't taste a hint of egg, just loaded with crab and shrimp with a flaky crust. The salad was so simple but refreshing with a bed of mix greens, avocado, mango and pomegranate seeds in a very light dressing. To finish off the plate there were some baked sweet potato chips. Though, it wasn't heavy it definitely was filling. TeaLee's is worth a visit, whether to listen to their live jazz, or poets or just to sit and talk to friends over a shared brew of tea. The ladies who work there make you feel like you are family, their smile and generosity was so appreciated.

Yelp
Adorable homey spot- super glad we came here instead of the chain coffee places near our hotel. Parking was easy peasy Sunday morning right out front. The two Ladies working were welcoming & just lovely. There are tables inside & also some seating outside. Prices are totally reasonable. We had cappuccino & a pot of tea & a couple pastries. Brunch menu looked good & had vegan options too but we didn't have time for a whole meal. Downstairs has books & really beautiful art as well as tables set for use as an event space or small party area. What could've been better? Just a bit MORE- would love to see them expand the bookshop & gift item offerings ( there's some cards & jewelry) Scone was kinda dry. Totally wish I had more time in town to attend an event or try full brunch or afternoon tea set- will be back for that!

Yelp
We booked a high tea for six and we had the most wonderful visit. A huge array of tea, sandwiches, quiche and desserts! Highly recommend

Yelp
Just popped in to Tealee's with a friend. This has been on my list for awhile! We were met with the sweetest woman who made us so comfortable and let us ask questions about the menu. We also had the chance to meet the owner who we had a lovely talk with and is so kind! I loved the collection of books downstairs, which also is a great place to get some work done, read, or just enjoy a moment. We ordered pots of regular and vanilla rooibos tea, which was PERFECT for this type of weather. I finished my whole pot and even sipped on some of my friends! We also had scones and chocolate chip cookies. The scone was to die for. I dipped mine in my tea and was in heaven! The cookies were perfectly crisped on the outside, and soft on the inside. This is the perfect place to have a chat with a friend or partner, we ended up sitting and talking for quite some time! Highly recommend to anyone who loves a good tea!

Yelp
Do not miss this small gem near downtown Denver! Whether your knowledge of tea is extensive or very basic, the staff seems happy to help you find a brew you'll like. I enjoyed my first matcha, alongside an absolutely delightful salmon sandwich. Allow some time to browse the eclectic book selection, and just enjoy the vibe.

Yelp
I could have gotten a tea at the conference hotel, but I decided to roam and see what the neighborhood had to offer. What I found is this little shop with a few seats and a long tea menu. I got a chai latte and was given a choice of milk and milk substitute options (with no upcharge it seems). The chai I received ran a bit over the mug they used, but I received the remainder in a second cup. It was a robustly flavored beverage; not overly sweet and possessing a bite that seemed like black pepper perhaps. As I told them, with a good chai you don't necessarily want to know what you're drinking, it's about the discovery. They did have a small food selection, and an abundance of other tea options, and I thought them well worth passing up on the typical tea bags I had at my disposal.

Yelp
What a lovely retreat. Totally unexpected that I found this little gem. My scone was delicious and I thought the tea presentation and the table set with linen and fresh flowers was a touch that made the experience special. The staff was kind and friendly. Thank you for my little get away.

Yelp
First time visiting TeaLee, and I'm a fan. Came for the high tea, and it was very enjoyable. We were offered a choice of either bacon, veggie, or seafood quiche. All of us went with the seafood quiche. Not a crumb was left on anyone's plate. It was so good! The success quiche was accompanied by sweet potato balls and a side salad that had mango, avocado, and pomegranate seeds. The high tea tower consisted of cucumber sanwhich bites with a dollop of pesto and egg salad on crackers, as well as very moist blueberry scones and chocolate mousse flowers. Overall, everyone in my party was incredibly satisfied and delighted by the whole experience. This is now one of my favorite tea places in Denver!
google avatar

Charlene K.

Yelp
Such an amazing Mother's Day experience! The food was absolutely fantastic, sweet potato tater tots, the salad had mango, avocado, and pomegranate seeds on it, and the seafood quiche had crab and salmon. It was absolutely to die for and then the amazing delicious teas were fantastic. We got two choices of tea, and then they brought out this lovely tower with the small sandwiches, blueberry scones, and the chocolate mousse. Dessert was mouthwatering & amazing. The customer service was fantastic. The ladies were so friendly and so attentive, and the atmosphere was fun and casual. I cannot recommend this place enough. Please go and enjoy Tealee's. There is a parking lot right across the street where you can buy a parking ticket and it's easy to get to and very convenient.

Yelp
Wow what a cute spot! This black owned tea shop is absolutely adorable! It's got a super sweet vibe with kind staff to match it. Everything that we tasted was decadent! I'm a carbs girl so my favorite was the blueberry scones by far. We were there for a birthday tea so they let us use the entire enclosed basement seating area for the festivities. They even stayed after hours and didn't rush us out of the space. Really great hospitality and great food and tea.

Yelp
My daughter is going to college in Northern Colorado and for her 18th birthday, she wanted to go into Denver. It was my first time in the city. It's our tradition when we are in a new city that we have afternoon tea. We found TeaLee's and made a reservation. TeaLee's serves more than just afternoon tea with sandwiches, scones and treats, they also serve a meal. We had the choice of broccoli quiche or salmon quiche. We both chose the broccoli quiche. Just a note - this is not a place where they rush you through your tea service. Instead, they didn't even start making our quiche until we ordered! They smelled fantastic as they baked and tasted even better. The teas were delicious, and for our tea sandwiches, they were a curried egg salad and cream cheese with cucumber. Both were great! The scones were lovely and seemed just baked too. Thanks for a lovely experience!

Yelp
Lovely high tea. The main course was great. The sweets at the end were surprisingly not as great as the start of the service & finger sandwiches, but a fantastic experience.

Margaret B.

Yelp
We enjoyed high tea so much! It was the perfect place to relax and celebrate a birthday during such a busy time of year. The atmosphere is so inviting, great service, and delicious food! We will be back.

Leah S.

Yelp
I have been twice, once for tea and a small bite to eat and once again for high tea. There really isn't anything that I can recommend about this place unfortunately. The staff is friendly but unprofessional and inefficient, the atmosphere has some charm but is crowded and awkward. And you will wait. A lot. We called ahead with a high tea reservation for 2 at noon. Their high tea offers a quiche and salad and then the traditional tower. We showed up at 11:45 and were seated quickly. We were served our first pot of tea promptly but had to request cream and sugar. The waitress brought cream and I had to remind her to bring sugar again, only strange because I feel cream and sugar should automatically be served but no biggie. As we sip our pots of tea, and then our second pots of tea, we are getting antsy to eat. It was about 35 minutes before the first food came out. Quiche was fine, nothing amazing. Our plates are cleared and we were excited for the tea tower! Well, from the time our quiche plates were cleared to the time we got our tea tower was over 1 hour and 15 minutes. After about an hour we asked the waitress, who had been pretty absent through the hour wait, how much longer it would take as we had been at the restaurant for nearly two hours at this point. She asks "oh are you in a rush" which was almost comical because no, we were not in a rush at 12:00 when we showed up, but by 1:57 with no tea tower served, yes we were in a rush. The waitress told us it would be another 7 minutes. 7 minutes was closer to 20 minutes. Finally the tea tower arrived! Our excitement was high until we saw the tower. It was the most embarrassing tea tower we have ever seen! Tea sandwiches? Nope, just tea "crostinis" which are just table crackers with a smear of some spread. Thats it. Scones? Nope, just one single scone cut in half for us to share. It was very floury (like actually tasted like raw flower). No clotted cream, no Devonshire, no butter, no jam or preserves or anything to spread on the scone. Dessert pastries? Nope, just one store bought mini macaroon each and one tiny "petit four" less than 1"x1", also store bought. I have never been served such meager offerings for afternoon tea, especially not at $50 per person. I have no idea how it could have possibly taken over an hour to prepare. And I can't understand how any business owner would think any part of this experience was acceptable for their clientele.

Juniper R.

Yelp
Excellent gem in the heart of Denver! Amazing tea selection, staff was very knowledgeable and kind in their service. Calming and friendly atmosphere, a great place to catch up with friends or get some work done. Highly recommend!

Yelp
I walked 45+ minutes today to get to this hidden little gem in downtown Denver and I have to say I was not disappointed! Woman and black owned, this little tea house/bookstore is unique and full of careful details and warm and friendly vibes! I had a homemade pumpkin scone with a dollop of lemon curd and a full pot of vanilla rooibos tea shown in the pictures below. If you are ever in Denver, don't miss out on this little piece of serenity! You won't be disappointed

Yelp
I ended up here by accident, we were looking for a place that was closed and because it was so hot we stopped here for a drink and to cool off. The wonderful lady that waited on us may have been the owner. I had a local craft beer and the purple rain tea infused drink. She took great care in her presentation and the drink was phenomenal. If I lived in Denver, this would be a lovely place to come and do some work, it has that coffee shop vibe. They have a lot of loose leaf tea for sale and pastries too.

Yelp
I went to TeaLee's for the first time. In fact, it was my first time visiting a tea house in Denver. I went in the afternoon during the week and practically had the place to myself. They have a small food menu with vegan and vegetarian options. And the tea menu had so many amazing sounding varieties. It was hard to choose. The server helped walk me through some of her favorites. I chose to get a pot of the lapsang souchong tea. The tea tasted amazing, especially if you like black teas. It has a smoky flavor. The sandwich was also really good. Although the service was amazing, I wouldn't dine in if you want a quick meal experience. I really liked the art and ambience of the place. If you have a large party, I would make reservations They also have a small used bookstore in the basement.

Yelp
Tried going yesterday and the store was closed in the afternoon. Their hours on the window and online said they were open but sadly no. Hope to go back and actually try!

Leanne S.

Yelp
Such a warm & welcoming space! Shared a cup of tea here with a friend & loved the owner & music!

Yelp
lovely atmosphere to have a cup or pot of tea with a book. calm and relaxing! a hidden gem i'm so happy to have discovered!

Yelp
They have lovely selections. The staff is helpful and you can have a nice cup of tea without being rushed.

Yelp
This is such a cute café with delicious tea, kind service, and a relaxing atmosphere. They have a beautifully curated small collection of used books. There is quaint seating both upstairs and downstairs. I can't express enough how kind and pleasant the service was. I am certainly promote relaxing, focus on the task at hand, and are meticulously detail oriented in their work behind the counter. Don't expect to tornado in and out of here in a rush and I promise you will have a pleasant experience.

Yelp
My wife and I live in downtown Denver, and decided to take a walk. We wondered into the Five Point neighborhood and thought we would revisit a small gem called TeaLee's Teahouse & Book shop. We stopped to see what they had for something to eat. Our last visit we had one of their Chai Teas, and a very tasty muffin, they were both wonderful. When we asked if we could get the recipe for the Chai Tea, we were told it was a family blend. So, on a cold day we enjoyed and cup of chai tea, some hot tomato soup and a couple of sandwiches. In these hard times of covid, and so much anger in this world these days, TeaLee's is a relaxing and calming atmosphere, it's like visiting your grandmother's or favorite aunties for comfort. The food is amazing, a calm soothing atmosphere with smooth jazz playing in the back round. We are definitely going to return. Thank you TeaLess's for wonder time. Greg

Yelp
The high tea experience here was so delicious! I didn't eat breakfast beforehand and I'm glad I didn't because there was so much food (we took half our sweet pastries to go cause we couldn't finish it, we were so full). The service that day included a quiche, soup or salad, and a tiered tray of other snacks. We made a reservation by phone the night before, so our table was ready to go when we arrived. High tea with all the food mentioned was $29.90 per person before tax. The price is great considering how much food you get and the tea service is bottomless, whatever flavor you would like. There were mimosa and coffee options available, but we stuck with just tea. Our high tea ran a little longer since there were many customers coming in and out that day, but we were just taking our Saturday morning leisurely so we didn't mind. The owner, Rise Jones, was also our server and she is the sweetest. If we resided in the Denver area we would definitely come here often. Street parking outside the shop is easy! Highly recommend you check this place out.

Yelp
I came in for breakfast, the owner is the sweetest and kindest person. I had the salmon quiche it was so good, gooey cheesy with flaky crust and smoky salmon. And I had a spicy honey chai latte, it was sweet spicy, herbal, delicious. The inside is cozy, warm, inviting, I could spend all day here. Amazing experience, 12/10 would recommend and come again.

Yelp
A cozy and and friendly enviroment that caters to the community. The food is fresh and tasty. The teas are delicious. The staff are engaging and lovely to watch in action. So pleased to patron this Black Woman Owned establishment.

Desiree S.

Yelp
I was disappointed to say the least , it took an hour to get our food which were store bought cookies , a pickle placed on some crackers with a sauce spread on top and quiches that arrived not even hot. There were no sandwiches that were mentioned. What's more disappointing is we saw all the food readily available in the store front so I am not sure what took so long There was no type of urgency with service , we never got our water filled , not even once and no one checked in on my party over an hour. We were there for two hours and expressed our urgency of having somewhere to be. We didn't get our check until we physically asked for the bill. What you get for 40 dollars is not worth it.
google avatar

Wendy H.

Yelp
Stopped off at this adorable tea/library recently. We had the amazing homemade quiche and salad. There's a wide variety of teas to select from. A table near us was having a tea party and the presentation was very nice. The downstairs is a great place for a private party and is so cozy!
google avatar

Aisha R.

Yelp
No WiFi. I have to lead with this because I came here to do work (as Yelp indicated it was a good place to work), but they have no WiFi. I was unable to tether with my phone and needed to access a VPN so I had to hurriedly eat my food and pack up and leave. If you're looking for a place to read and get off the grid though, this place is ideal. I can't say enough nice things about the service, the food, the tea, and the bookstore downstairs. I will surely return when they have WiFi for customers.

Cathie K.

Yelp
No tea sandwiches! Just cheap crackers w/ bits of egg salad, topped w/ olives w/ pits. No sweets except store-bought cookies and badly-made scones. How can they get away with charging more than the Brown Palace?!?! It was a huge disappointment!!! Never recommending this poor Excuse for high tea!!!!
google avatar

Kelley C.

Yelp
Stopped by for some Chai lattes and scones. I had never been here and happened to find the location on accident. It's quite cute, with options to order tea pots and sit to enjoy your company. The Chai lattes were great, just as you'd expect them. We also got her scones because we noticed they were baked in house - delicious! Often I feel I need to butter my scones - these did not need a thing. Unfortunately, because they were so delicious, they were gone before I could get a picture!

Yelp
Been here twice for High Tea and had an absolutely lovely experience both times!! I struggle to find restaurants in Boulder and Denver with food that's really flavorful and well done, but TeaLees truly knocks this out of the park. From crostinis with fresh, crisp homemade pickles topped with a delicious relish, to macarons with delicate shells and pungent mango and matcha flavors, both sweet and savory foods have complex, luscious flavors. Though somehow the dishes are also warm and comforting, like something your mom would make! The staff are lovely and bring the courses out one by one on beautiful platters, refreshing your tea whenever needed--also very flavorful and there's a wide variety to choose from. Held a surprise birthday party for a friend here, and they did a wonderful job accommodating our group, even providing a candle for her to blow out! Highly recommend for any special occasions or fun outings with friends!

Yelp
TeaLee's is a local, Black-owned, cozy, magically charming tea shop with a small selection of terrific books and all manner of delicious nibbles. Try the sweet potato tea cakes with clotted cream or lemon curd! Best of all, during Covid, they do a fantastic high-tea to-go--ideal for special occasions. We celebrated Valentine's Day and my fiancé's birthday this way. Both perfect dates at home.

Laura H.

Yelp
I took some family to high tea here. It was delicious. The lemon curd was yummy. The cranberry orange dessert bar was super yum. Also a female owned tea shop is great.

Yelp
Very good little spot with great service. The coffee was good and the scone was even better. The staff are great and has a small book store im the basement.

Yelp
Awesome place!!!! Will be back for sure. The wait was short service was great and the vibe was amazing

Sarah C.

Yelp
Super cute, cozy and homey tea shop. The owner is very sweet and welcoming. I got a chai latte (I let her decide how to make it, but she had several milk options), it was excellent. Perfect balance of flavor and warmth. Be aware that this shop is study friendly, but NOT work friendly as there is limited wifi and outlets. I still give it 5 stars as I enjoyed my time here even though I could not work.

Yelp
My husband and I decided to check this place out...I am so glad we went. I had the mocha, my husband had tea...both were delicious!!! The young lady that helped us was so sweet and helpful! We will be back! One more thing, the music was great!

Brit W.

Yelp
Adorable little place with a very interesting vibe. It's black owned and has a library of black authored and/or related books. The tea I had was delicious, ginger peach, and the soup and sandwich was also good. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a cool little place in Denver.

Yelp
Love this place. Cozy, friendly, awesome customer service... love hanging out at this place... important to the community...

Yelp
Sensational service, vibe is perfect, tea and pastries are awesome. Get the Matcha Latte.

Yelp
What a delightful afternoon tea! The scones were delicious with a tender crumb. Often places will bake these sweet little biscuits until they are hard and dry. The quiche was amazing. Everything is freshly made. The selection of available tea was just right. I choose an herbal...coconut mate. Wow! The young woman who took our order made great suggestions about which tea to try. My companions thought the curried egg salad was excellent. The crowning glory was the desserts. The caramel and walnut pie gets an A+. Sometimes pie crust is too dry, but this was made by an expert. Thumbs up for the millionaire bars with dark chocolate ganache. Forget Brown Palace! The food at TeaLee's is divine.

Yelp
Service a little slow, but nice relaxing atmosphere and good selection of teas. Has a mom and pop feel, with nice ambience and some good rhythmic music.

Yelp
Excellent food and tea selections. Our servers for high tea were fantastic!! The quiche and scones were amazing. This is a very warm and inviting spot to come and relax. It is definitely recommended!!

Yelp
My fiancé and I loved every second at TeaLee's. We found it through Yelp so I'm posting this review in the hopes that someone else will read this and decide to visit. The customs service was the best of the best. They were so nice and honestly cared that we had a good time. The music and vibe was easy going and fun. And the food... The food was DELICIOUS. My fiancé got the Turkey sandwich and I got the vegan BBQ jackfruit. I swear we hardly breathed, we ate so fast. We got the carrot cake cup cake for dessert - SO GOOD! The tea was so smooth and delicious. There's so many options to choose from and you can taste the quality. Overall, we loved every second there. We even bought a book from the bookstore downstairs. I highly recommend this place. You can spend all day there, drinking tea and eating food
