The 35 Best Restaurants in Florence, Italy | Eater

"International food offerings are growing at a modest pace in Florence, and the city’s Iranian population is well represented by Ristorante Persiano Tehran. Situated in Piazza dei Cimatori, aka “Dante’s Neighborhood,” this restaurant proudly serves Iranian specialties, like ground beef koobideh, marinated spiced joojeh chicken kebabs, hearty herb and lamb stew ghormeh sabzi, Persian bastani, and rose-, saffron-, or pistachio-flavored ice cream. The decor pays homage to the owners’ home country and offers a Persian escape in the midst of Florence’s Renaissance-heavy center. Best for: Lunch after a morning visit to the Uffizi, which is a stone’s throw away." - Coral Sisk

Lovely place, very welcoming even though we came without a reservation they were super helpful and seated our large group. Lovely food overall. Amazing mast khair 👍🏻 and shirazi salad 👍🏻 I wish they would serve oven hot bread since its one of the best things in persian kitchens. The rice and all grilled items were amazing as well.

Tehran restaurant in Florence is an absolute treasure. The food was incredible — full of authentic Persian flavors that instantly reminded me of home. The kebabs were tender, the rice fragrant with saffron, and every dish tasted like it was made with love and tradition. A huge thank you to Shahab, who is running the restaurant with so much passion and kindness. His hospitality truly made the experience unforgettable. It felt like being welcomed into a Persian home, not just a restaurant. If you want a real taste of Iran in the heart of Florence, this is the place. Highly recommended — we will definitely be back! 🇮🇷❤️🇮🇹

I have no words! The best restaurant I visited in Florence :) we were here as a group and some of our Persian friends brought us and it did not disappoint. For me every meal was like a symphony of flavours and after eating here I think I found my new favourite cousine 😁 the service was also excelent and I cannot reccomend this place enough🤍

This Iranian restaurant is one of the best. Simply the best Iranian food in Florence!!!! The food was so tasty and flavour full. Everything we ate was AMAZING!! Tehran is situated in the heart of Florence, which is great for easy access. In resume, this is a place I will definitely go to again once I revisit Florence.

While the food quality was great and the taste was spot on, the service was unacceptable. The staff clears the table the second you finish, making you feel unwelcome to stay for even 10 more minutes. We experienced poor behavior from the moment we entered until we paid. This is not a reflection of real Iranian hospitality, and it’s a shame to see such a poor representation of our culture in Florence.

If you want to have high-quality Persian food in an authentic atmosphere go there. That was the highlight of our trip in florence. They are also very professional in manner with customer and have the best tea with Nabat. Thank you team restaurant Tehran :))

We came here after we went to Bagdad restaurant and they were our pretty much of a lot of things! The owner recommended them but I would not! Expensive, small portions, not tasty and slow service! My husband ordered to the kofta kebab and he was not impressed! I had their gormeh Sabzi I also was not impressed either. We got the Ayran it was warm, by the time they got us the ice we were halfway done our food and the taste was not great. The only thing that was good I would say is the must khyar, it had flavor! I would not recommend! Expensive and does not taste good!
