My husband and I were riding Lime scooters along the greenbelt and came across this winery. I knew we had to stop by! The patio is just perfect. Spacious, Adirondack chairs and fire pits, grassy areas, views of the river, right next to the trail, lots of sunshine. We came right when they opened at noon on a Friday. The atmosphere gets 5 stars, but the wine and service get more like a 3-4.
Not much service is needed when just having wine. But I was kind of surprised that our server just brought out my white wine flight, handed me a paper that told me about each wine, then left. I've done many wine tastings and much prefer when the staff talk about each wine, where the grapes are grown, what makes the wines on the flight different, personal opinions on them, etc. There was nothing to the service except delivering the wine to us and checking on us once or twice. I wish it had been more personal and informational! The wines themselves were pretty average, I didn't feel the need to buy a bottle. I enjoyed having a flight of all white wines though. The best one was the Viognier in my opinion! The flight was $20 for 4 pours which wasn't bad. My husband got a glass of red wine, the Tempranillo. He said it was the lightest red they had which I thought still tasted quite bold. He said it grew on him the more he drank it, but still not a huge fan.
Despite the wine itself being pretty average in our opinion, we had such a lovely time hanging out on their patio! It's the perfect place to be on a sunny Spring day.
