Tempura Uchitsu

Wow! The tempura at this place is incredible, so far, this is the best one I’ve had in Hong Kong. Their menu is great, and the batter is very thin and crispy, which makes the tempura very nice. Overall, this is a great place for tempura, and I 100% recommend trying it as it is very good with variety. The dessert was also very interesting as there was a liquid nitrogen milk flavoured ice cream, which I really enjoyed.

Returning customer, coming back every quarter. As a tempura place they change their menu really often. They don’t only change the ingredients but they also change the way they prep the food. Used to rank the tempura restaurant I went in roppongi the top but Uchitsu definitely beat it (disclaimer: my experience with tempura restaurants in Japan is limited, but I’ve tried all the top ones in HK). The only thing is their sake menu is on the pricey side, probably more worthwhile getting a bottle of Dom. Awesome service (expect standard warm and friendly four seasons service).

The freshness and natural taste of the Japan imported ingredients (particularly the shellfish - shrimp/crab/uni) really stands out - as well as the enthusiasm and friendliness of the chef. The non tempura pauses in the omakase are likewise well done.

You pay for amazing service and excellent food. Obviously this place is on the super pricey side, but the chefs and wait staff are extremely friendly and attentive. All the tempura pieces are fried to perfection, with a unique menu that has a balance of some non-tempura pieces. However, I probably won’t return simply because of the price.

An exciting lunch dining experience with a wide variety of food served, highly recommended the prawn, unami and scallop. It's surprised they didn't get Michelin star here but would be good for us from booking perspective, haha

First overseas branch of the Michelin-ranked Tempura Uchitsu from Tokyo. Flawless and feather-light tempura by Eisaku Hara 原榮作. Serving order between tempura pieces and cold dishes are masterfully orchestrated. Love all the pieces, crab cake, kuruma-ebi, maitake mushroom and bafun uni on shiso leaf are the highlights. The sweet potato is to die for 🤤😍

Amazing! Light, fluffy, delicate tempura. There wasn’t a dish I didn’t enjoy, and the pear sorbet was just the icing on the cake! What a decadent Christmas meal🎄

Excellent quality and service, feel as if in Tokyo. Highly recommend.
