Where To Eat in Bensonhurst's Chinatown - New York - The Infatuation

"It’s always crowded at this noodle shop, which specializes in Yunnan-style “crossing bridge” noodles. If you want to know the story behind these noodles, just read the text of the wall mural in the dining room. A dish based on a love story could be the conversationstarter you need if you’re here on a first or second date. If you’re in the more established, soup-sharing phase of a relationship, you won’t have to choose between the original or mala broth, and can just get one of each. Don’t skip the cold wood ear mushroom and cucumber salads, and get an order of fried steamed buns." - carina finn koeppicus, neha talreja

This place is not as advertised. The authentic way of having these noodles is that they bring you a bowl of of hot soup and a tray of the cooked ingredients and noodles; and you are to add everything in yourself at the table. What this place did was put everything together for you and bring it out to you. This makes the noodles soggy and also you may not want everything in your soup. When I asked why they do it this way they said it was because it would be faster (they want to turnaround the tables quickly). But this makes the experience feel more like fast food especially since the noodles were very soggy by the time it reached me. Additionally, we all felt there was different amounts of ingredients in our bowls. Even the sign outside their restaurant showed the ingredients in individual plates.

The pork broth with rice noodles and meat LACKED the rich complex flavors of a deeply flavored broth base that I have come to savor. The broth flavor was good but weak (lacked the flavors brought-on by sufficiently reducing the broth to concentrate the flavors). The $12-$13 dollar price was reflective of that. The rice noodles were extremely over boiled & did not have the proper chewiness. My order was brought to me within 4 minutes of placing with the server, which seemed to indicate that the noodles had been pre-cooked somewhere in the back. The service was poor. During my 30-40 minute visit, I was not checked on once to ask if I needed anything or even a drink refill (even with the seating at 10 percent percent full, plenty of opportunities). The front-end manager stood around holding his hands behind his back with an authoritative posture & Expression, pacing past my table, which felt a bit awkward. Free green tea was served at the start of the meal which was appreciated. Strange tasting Tap water was also served with no ice. The atmosphere was pleasant and the lighting/seating was comfortable. Although the service and food were unimpressive, I'd return because of the affordable cost & pleasant atmosphere.

Been to this place numerous times and the food is very consistent in terms of preparation and taste. I have always ordered the chicken and fish maw noodle soup but lately I have been fascinated by the tomato base soup noodles with fish. It has a tangy and sweet and sour taste which is quite appetizing. It does not weigh you down after downing the whole bowl. Definitely give it a try!!!! Highly recommended!!!!

This place is deserving of more than 5 stars!! Amazing! Our experience was pleasant from beginning to end for everything - service, food, atmosphere. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted and seated by kind and smiling staff. The waiter was extremely friendly and also considerate of our dietary restrictions - no shrimp or pork. He gave us recommendations which we accepted. To make sure we were happy with our selections though, he also gave us a sample to try before we ordered, which I think is such a thoughtful effort to make sure we as customers are happy. A kind gesture that certainly did not go unnoticed. His recommendations were great though. We ordered the popcorn chicken which was filling for 2 people and tasted so fresh! I was so happy we ordered that as a snack. We also ordered a Tomato Soup Base and a Collagen Chicken Soup Base and they were both very flavorful. For dessert, there weren’t many options but the waiter recommended the lava rice cake - it actually was very yummy! It tastes like fried oreo except less sweet which is our preference. We loved everything and will definitely come back agai. Thank you!! :)

Google
The tomato base noodles might be some of my favorite yet. I couldn’t even wait for it to cool a little before eating. I will say the plum juice wasn’t the best but the passionfruit sparkling drink paired very well with our meal. The atmosphere is pretty good for catching up with friends and grabbing a quick bite.

Google
I genuinely enjoy this place and always order the same thing, the R8. Occasionally, I’ll get a drink, like their green tea, and the soup has an incredible savory flavor. I bring my friends and family here so often that they already know my order by heart. However, I’m not a fan of their tipping policy. While I understand the importance of tipping, they often expect a larger tip than I’m able to give on some days. You’d think that as a regular who supports the business frequently, this wouldn’t be an issue, but it still feels a bit awkward. I’m hesitant about coming back because of it, but I’ll see how things go.

Google
The server a male asked for more tip? Shocking asked for one more dollar are they even paying their workers why is he begging for more tip after i gave them 18% i know the economy is bad but I’m poor too and i was with my girl and it was embarrassing. Will not come back again. Ive been multiple times and came as a first date before never been begged like this at any restaurants before. Wow

Yelp
Delicious big portions. The servers are nice with good attitude, and I always make sure to give 20% tip.

Yelp
What a great restaurant where do I start. All ingredients are fresh and of the best quality! I stoped in for lunch on my break and I was not disappointed. the lady was so helpful guiding me through the menu. She pointed out a few options for me after I told her what I liked. I finally decided on the Korean kimchi soup, rice noodles with beef slices! It was the best soup I ever had the flavors were balanced the kimchi was not too overpowering and, because the waitress was so helpful it had all the stuff in it I loved. I had added quail eggs green onion and garlic The beef was tender, and the noodles were perfectly done. If your looking for a hardy meal that satisfies you on every level I highly recommend this place

Yelp
The staff is is all over the spectrum of attentiveness but generally pleasant. Some people find the price a bit high for the noodles, considering how much noodles there are in the bowl. However, it's all about quality, not quantity. One mustn't forget to account for the banging soup that comes with the noodles so the price is rather fair. The add-ons can be called the add-ups because that's what they do. If you're famished, order extra. If you're peckish, toppings-less one bowl will suffice. I didn't care for the tomato based soup because it reminds me of Chef Boyardee. The pig stomach option was surprisingly delicious. And of course, there's nothing wrong with just getting the OG. Spacious for large parties and more than enough room to accommodate multiple intimate meals. Not exactly a date night spot for the newly formed couples, but downright homey for those who don't care how loud or splashy you slurp the noods!

Yelp
The staffs were friendly. There was a bit of a wait for dinner on a Sunday night for a party of two. You leave your phone number and they will call you. The wait was 10-15 minutes. Their rice noodles came in sizzling in the bowl. Overall Food: 4/5 Service: 4/5 Ambience: 4/5

Yelp
This place was quite packed given the other nearby places didn't have much people at that time of the day. The food isn't exactly the best but it was quite filling with the portion size. The ambience is as random as it can get cause we just happened to be seated near a table celebrating someones' birthday.

Yelp
Visited this location on 3 different occasions and had very...confusing experiences. The appeal of this meal is offering soup with a variety of toppings, all served on the side in small bowls, for you to add to your steaming hot broth. The first time I visited this restaurant (granted, was over two years ago) this was the case -- exactly as shown in older photos of the meal. The days of having your toppings on the side are long gone, I don't know if this is just how they serve it now, or if they wish to rush customers out and throw everything in the bowl to save time, but it's quite unfortunate that you don't get a choice in what you get to place in your own soul anymore. Definitely not used to it and wasn't expecting it, otherwise we would have asked for certain options to be omitted. Regardless, this is still a piping hot bowl of soup & is perfect for a chilly day. I've noticed the broth to be quite bland the last two times I've dined in, and think that might mean it's time for me to find a new go-to menu pick (as I usually opt for the Original noodles.) The positive to dining here is you definitely won't leave hungry. The portions are huge, with the amount of noodles & protein in each bowl making the price worth it. Definitely a must try at least once if you haven't before!

Yelp
These pictures are a LIE. it's a ghost kitchen and they don't have a sit down let alone stone pots. I walked over on a super hot day to be so disappointed. what a lie

Yelp
Visited this place during dinner rush and there was a wait but not too long for a party of 5; roughly 15 mins. The soup is definitely piping hot so be careful when taking your first slurp! I'm not a noodle soup person so this place didn't wow me. The wings were delish; the dipping sauce was definitely what made it taste better. The cold chicken was meh, lacked some flavor/salt.

Yelp
A lot of food, maybe a bit too much for lunch. I ordered the sour fish noodle soup and ate half, then ate the other half a couple of hours later and I was full all night. The food was hot, full of a variety of ingredients and they keep the noodles separate so they don't get bloated.

Yelp
Whenever it is cold and I do not want to make a bowl of noodles at home, I find myself craving their noodles + soup. They have a bit of variety but I always find myself going for their fish maw and chicken noodles. What I love about this place is the portion they give you. If you do not eat a lot, order one bowl of hot noodles in soup and 1-2 apps to share. I went last night with a friend and ordered some fried steam buns (so iconic, so simple yet so delicious!), the woodear mushroom dish and a soup. My friend was feeling stuffed! The service here is quick and they will come by to refill your cups with either hot tea or water. If you want to stay a little longer to chat and eat (as long as no one is waiting), the workers here will not rush or kick you out (I love that). I didn't personally sit by the door but on these cold, windy and wintry days of NYC, I noticed they had a heater directed at the customers so I thought that was considerate. I highly recommend this place!

Yelp
Came here because we (I) was craving noodles and also we had to find somewhere with AC on this hot day. It was pretty busy when we arrived. We ordered the chef recommendation noodle soup dishes, pig ears to share, and two drinks. I got the chicken with fish maw soup and Ribena with lemon. The drink was surprising. Initially googling, Ribena was black currant so I thought it was a fruity drink. It ended up tasting exactly like sprite. After further googling, seems like a Ribena is black currant based soft drink popular in UK. Explains the carbonated sprite taste... maybe? Anyways not exactly a fan. My friend got the lemon tea which tasted like very diluted tea. The pig ears were delicious. I liked the flavor and the cilantro. The highlight of this place was definitely the noodle dishes. They came in this big pot thing that kept the bowl warm I'm assuming. It was still bubbling when we first got it. I really enjoyed the fish maw soup, it felt very nutritious and healthy. There was a generous amount of toppings too. Portion size was great too! Ambiance is okay, music is a little loud. The service is just okay. It was hard to flag someone down to get their attention. Overall: the chefs recommendations were great. I enjoyed the noodle soup a lot. Skip the drinks tho.

Yelp
Came here with my sister and it was our first time trying this place. We got the spicy cucumber salad and 2 bowls of soup - I got a brisket one and the one she picked looked the same and she added a chicken leg. The extra chicken was good and the soup was huge and so filling! The soup comes out boiling and the items on the menu in little dishes seemed to be put in before the bowl gets to the table. I actually didn't finish mine (which was all sorts of surprising) lol Our server was really nice and he helped me with suggestions and let us know that we might be ordering too much. The inside seating area was clean as was the bathroom. I enjoyed my meal and I would go back to try more stuff :)

Yelp
I ordered for pick up, but will certainly prepare to dine in another time because the ambience of the restaurant calls my name. I had rice noodles with beef, eggs, and cucumbers with a fried garnish on top and requested for it to be spicy. The cashier was extremely helpful in helping me make my selection because I can be indecisive at times. This is the kind of place where you wanna explore your options because after you try one dish you'll just know how good good can be. I also tried prune juice for the first time and would recommend it, especially after adding water.

Yelp
I recommend this place for lunch. if you don't like spice make sure you tell them not spicy. today I ordered pickle vegetables with fish fillet. The soup was delicious. The fish was tasty. The service was quick. The place is clean.

Yelp
Food was good with ample variety of toppings and plentiful rice noodles. Broth was very flavorful. The service however, was absolute hot garbage... and makes me question if I'd ever come back. Upon tipping, the server actually asked me to tip more, as if he were entitled to it, pointing at the MAXIMUM suggestive tip section of the receipt. Didn't tip that much because I didn't think the service was that stellar so that threw me off. Don't think I'll be returning.

Yelp
I've been here a couple times already and I can't believe the food is consistently good every time. My most recent visit was when I was in the area and it was a chilly Sunday afternoon so I was looking for something warm and hearty. This place came to mind immediately and there was no wait which was really surprising considering every time I came here there was a queue. The food here does not disappoint and I would recommend stopping by if you want some yummy noodles. The staff was attentive, the interior is beautifully decorated and the food comes in a hot bowl which stays hot the whole time. Come with an empty stomach and leave fully satisfied. I'm not sure if this place is a chain with the one on 8th Ave in Brooklyn seemingly selling similar items but offering unlimited noodle refills but the soup noodles at this location are definitely more flavorful in my opinion. Things I would recommend are: - pickled fish slices rice noodle - original crossing bridge noodle - pickled pepper beef slices

Yelp
i had fish and rice noodles with green Sichuan pepper - so good and definitely enough for 2 portions but the food was so good i ate everything in one sitting. i ordered on a delivery app. the packaging was perfect. no spills. it was a medium spice level.

Yelp
With 86 street becoming the new 8th ave, it's not surprising to see new Asian restaurants coming to 86th street. Ten Seconds Yunnan Rice Noodle is part of those restaurants. What a great addition to Bensonhurst because we can get affordable hot pots of never ending rice noodles for the price of $17! This place is casual with moderate volume just like any average noodle shop. My partner and I ordered one bowl of Spicy Beef Slices Rice Noodle and a bowl of Pickled Fish Slice Rice Noodle. You can either ask for it made for you or you can get the toppings (an assortment of vegetables and proteins) and add them yourself. While I opted to put the toppings in myself, the kitchen accidentally served my dish already made and I was given complementary beef slices for the misunderstanding (nice!). Some of my favorite things about these noodles are that they stay hot because of the pot they serve the noodles in, they give enough noodle to satisfy a hungry athletic man, and they're flavorful and affordable. But seriously, the noodles never end. The service is also very attentive and friendly. They kept our water filled throughout our visit, checked in with us, and were overall quick, efficient, and friendly. Overall, I can see myself coming back. I'll save this for a day when I'm really hungry or on a day when I'm craving noodles for both lunch and dinner.

Yelp
I've been wanting to go to this place for so long and I'm glad I did! It was beyond my expectations. The last time I had this type of noodle was when I visited HK. When you walk in, it feels like you're in a freezer but it's for a good reason! On the wall there is a story of how these noodles came to be. There are also some cute lanterns! This place has good ambiance. Menu was very easy to look through! My Mom got some beef brisket noodle with very flavorful meat and soup! My Dad wanted the fish noodles but it had 2 pepper signs so he asked if it can be made non spicy. They were super accommodating. I got the R20 Mala beef slices rice noodle and was excited to dump all the dishes into my piping hot bowl. The piping hot bowl is surrounded by another bowl that elevates it and prevents you from burning yourself. That being said, remember the freezer temperature when you walk in? Well, it is much appreciated because you WARM UP as you eat. The price is soooo worth especially the size you get! Hard to find a good deal nowadays. Overall, I really recommend this place if you want feel-good comfy food that warms the soul

Yelp
I love ten seconds Yunnan rice noodles especially during the cold weather! They serve the perfect bowl of steaming fresh hot noodles. My go to order is always the pickled fish slices rice noodles which is one of my favorite soup noodle dishes! I've gotten their noodles for takeout before but I definitely feel like it tastes better if you dine in. Their portion sizes are super generous and worth the price you pay. I came here with my fiancé and friend on a Sunday afternoon and it was super busy! That's how you know the restaurant serves some good food. Though it was busy, we only waited for around 10 minutes for a table for 3 which isn't bad at all considering we didn't make any prior reservation. Will be back to try the other menu items but highly recommend this spot if you're looking for some delicious rice noodles!

Yelp
I didn't see the appeal of this establishment until I got to try one of their comforting bowl of noodles. First, any place that dedicates half a page of its menu to just tomato-based broth is already a winner in my heart. When I saw they had four types of tomato soup rice noodles, I knew that it was over for the rest of the menu. I chose the pork chop rice noodle with tomato soup. I thought the selling point of this restaurant was the toppings in little saucer dishes for you to throw in the bowl of soup, but they actually didn't do that for my table. It was the same thing when I ordered takeout from here on two separate occasions. Regardless, it wasn't a deal breaker because less work for me. The serving size was humongous. I barely finished half of it before I had to ask to take it to go. The deep fried pork chop goes really well with the noodles. But most importantly, the tomato flavor is the right amount of tangy. There are two thin slices of spam, a quail egg, and tofu puffs hidden in there. The fried steamed buns were pretty worth it - 6 pieces for $5.25. They're the smaller size ones.

Yelp
What's better than a bowl of hot noodle soup in this cold weather! Came here as a group of three on a Saturday afternoon and no wait at all! For appetizer, we got the cold cut chicken with chili sauce to share. Extremely tasty! It got the numbing heat from the sichuan peppercorn yet it was not too spicy! The chicken itself was also very juicy and tender! As for the noodle, we got one pickled pepper beef, one spicy brisket, and one tomato brisket. All the broth was very flavorful and my favorite broth was probably the spicy one! It has 3 chili peppers on the menu but I don't think it was too spicy! The tomato broth was a little too sour for my taste but my friend liked it! The portion size of the noodle soups where huge and they all came with a big bowl of noodle! We couldn't finish it all so we just packed up the leftover! Overall, great experience here! Staff was nice and food came out quickly. One minor critique is that there's quite a lot of msg in the broth. I don't mind the use of msg but it made us very thirsty afterwards. Will definitely come back if I'm around that area again!

Yelp
Love love love their shredded potato in chili oil! My whole family have been here a few times now & we all enjoyed the various selection for their broth. The noodle texture is smooth and silky, great stuff! Our first visit was late Spring, so the temp was actually quite fitting to have hot boiling noodles for dinner... however, our recent visit was at the height of Summer... so, it was scorching! Not a great combo... jokes on us! By the time we finished... we longed for a very ice cold shower. Ugh. Our favorite is definitely the: -Spicy beef noodle -Kimchi & beef noodle -Classic beef noodle -Sliced fish & pickled veggies Wasn't a fan of the tomato soup base ones and didn't like the mala one... the cucumber salad was ok, wish the toppings were a bit more generous (my kids love spam... those tiny little pieces are like nothing...) and option to replace lettuce with watercress... maybe? Just some better texture than ice-berg lettuce... blah.

Yelp
The fried wonton was ok, but don't expect it to look like the money bag wonton advertised in the pictures outside. Tomato broth noodle and minced pork noodle were huge portions. My favorite was their FLAT chicken wing, very crunchy. Service excellent. Very attentive. Cleaned up table quickly. Unfortunately, music too loud, could not even heard the person across from me.
google avatar

Wen L.

Yelp
I love soupy brothy noodles all the time, but this didn't quite hit the spot. It's not bad for a quick eat and price is fair, but I probably rather have pho or ramen although I understand those are different cuisines. I tried the tomato soup base, it was pretty salty and sour, maybe I'll be back to try the original.

Winnie N.

Yelp
Quick and attentive service, noodle were delicious, and good portion, the appetizer were mediocre.

Yelp
I love this place! A friend introduced it to me and I've been back so many times. Its a perfect winter spot with the perfect hot rice noodle soups. My favorite is the beef brisket rice noodles with tomato soup AND added beef slices. It comes out in such a cute presentation. I always request that I put the food into the soup myself just because its so fun.

Yelp
I really enjoy the concept of the noodles. Smashed Cucumber Salad w. Spicy Sauce- So refreshingly delicious! ($4.95) Fried Chicken Wings- Perfectly fried. They weren't very flavorful on their own, but the sauce served with them really added a lot of flavor. ($6.75) Beef Brisket Rice Noodle w. Tomato Soup- Flavorful broth! I really love that this place has a beef brisket option. You can eat them on the side or add them to your soup. Either way, they are a delicious addition! ($11.75) Ribena with Lemon- My friend suggested less sugar, and I'm glad she did. It was just the right amount of sweetness. A refreshing cool drink at the end of a hot meal. ($3.50) The food was so comforting. I recommended this restaurant over others with the same concept.

Yelp
I've been to this restaurant many times, and most of the time, the experience has been pretty good. But tonight, a waiter stopped me on my way out and told me that my tip was too low. This is the first time I've ever been called out over a tip. I left 15%, which I thought was the standard. The restaurant wasn't busy, and the service was just average. Was it wrong for me to tip 15%? I've heard of people being stopped for not tipping at all or just leaving a dollar, but for 15%? I guess this place might be out of my budget--maybe it's not for someone like me.

Yelp
Rich, warm, and hearty, there's nothing more comforting than cozying up inside with a simmering bowl of soup as the seasons begin to change. Oh wait, add some noodles to that! Ten Seconds Yunnan Rice Noodles 十秒到雲南過橋米線 is a branch of the popular Chinese noodle chain, Shi Miao Dao 十秒到, whose name roughly translates to "ready in ten seconds" (hence the English name of this restaurant). Specializing in cross-bridge noodles, each set is comprised of a bowl of hot soup, rice noodles, and various accompanying ingredients such as thinly sliced meats, fried tofu puffs, wood-ear mushrooms, pickled cabbage, corn, and more. My sister and I came here on an early Tuesday evening, to get away from the cold, and there were plenty of tables available; no wait was necessary. We ordered the Chicken Leg with Mixed Mushroom Rice Noodles for her, the Beef Brisket Rice Noodles with Tomato Soup for me, and a soft-boiled egg and a side of pig intestines to share. Our server asked if it was okay to pre-mix everything (instead of serving each ingredient individually), which we were fine with, and the food arrived at the table in a matter of minutes and extremely hot too. I swear I burned the roof of my mouth, and my gums too, just trying to slurp up some noodles--yes, a very wise decision, I know--but it was worth it (and well... also because spitting it out in public would've been rude). Both broths were extremely rich and flavorful, but I am partial to the tomato; the tenderness of the beef brisket was amazing and I especially loved the tomatoeyness of the broth. My sister enjoyed her order too, though the staff completely forgot and left out her chicken leg until she asked about it. Overall, great experience here! The food was delicious and the staff were very patient and pleasant to interact with. Will definitely be back to try some of the other menu items or maybe just to order another bowl of tomato beef brisket rice noodles :D

Yelp
I came back here recently, well 2 times in 1 week, because I got to try another flavor and it was so good I had to come back again for another one. I decided to go with a bit of spice. On my 1st time this week, I got the kimchee beef slices one and I was very impressed, full of flavor and the portion sizes, amazing. The bowls are actually gigantic and not the ones with a dome in the center. The staff lady was very nice and sweet. And then on Wednesday, the service wasn't as good, I'd say. It felt like the staff were purposely not making eye contact with us or something? And would walk away before we finished our sentences. But on this 2nd time I ordered the pepper sliced beef. So amazing! It was again so flavorful that the dismissive service didn't really phase us much.

Yelp
Huge portions! Plenty of toppings. You can ask them to put all the toppings in and serve as one bowl, or leave all the toppings out and add them yourself. Cast iron pot keeps everything pipin' hot, but be careful not to burn yourself!

Yelp
My fourth time having crossing bridge noodles and already my second favorite after Western Yunnan! This location is much more convenient for me, and the flavors are very similar. If you're unfamiliar with these type of noodles, you're given a tray of "toppings" that you will throw into a piping hot stone bowl of broth, along with a bowl of noodles. It's fun to do it yourself, but the restaurant can also do it for you. Make sure you let them know you want to DIY! Spicy Beef Brisket Rice Noodles: this has the "mala" spice but it's not too strong that it overpowers the broth, and has that kick that'll have you grabbing for lots of tissues throughout the meal. Make sure to mix it well as the spices are lurking at the bottom of the bowl. The brisket is tender and the noodles slippery and chewy. Yummm Pickled Beef Slices Rice Noodle: somehow, this has more of a kick than the spicy beef one! If you've had the sour and peppery pig intestines/stomach dish at dimsum before, you'll find that the broth here resembles that a bit, but definitely spicier! Very generous with the beef slices compared to YunShang for sure, as well as the toppings. Has bolder flavors so those who like their soups a bit on the plainer side might not want to order this one For $3, the pork chop as an add-on is actually a good portion and super crispy, just that it was way too oily for me and the meat wasn't the freshest. Off day I'm sure!

Yelp
I initially wasn't a fan because the dishes didn't sound too appealing. I recently became a fan because of the cold chili chicken. the sauce was delish and the dish was not too spicy. they recently also added 2 good noodle dishes: brisket noodles and minced meat sauce noodles and both are not spicy. the brisket is tender but there are pieces that aren't tender enough. we tried the fried wontons and those were made nicely. French fries were standard and the chicken wings were a bit bland for my taste. it's a solid 4 star and missing the last star rating because of the limited options for people who don't eat spice. overall I would say there are decent options for an affordable meal with the family.

Always looking for a hot bowl of noodles during the winter time and this place is the best ! Hefty portions and lots of options to choose from. You won't be disappointed coming here.

Yelp
Love this place! My favorite broth are either the tomato or the pickled pepper. The portions are huge and they are very generous with the amount of noodles. As for the appetizers, curry fishballs and the fried wontons are the only ones I've tried and they are both good. A must if you are craving soup noodles!

Yelp
i ordered the original crossing bridge noodles and it tasted really good. me enjoyed it very much. it has a loud yet nice atmosphere. okay service. but maybe try to give it faster, i think 30 minutes is a long time for 10 seconds noodles

Yelp
I came here with my mom for lunch and we were so glad that we did! It was cloudy and misting out so a bowl of chewy rice noodle and hot soup fit the mood! We ordered the woodear salad, it was vinegary with some red hot peppers. Very crunchy and tasty! I ordered the original beef brisket rice noodle and it was served in a cast iron bowl within a heat resistant container. The noodle soup was really hot and maintained the heat for a good amount of time. The pro was that it was hot and the con was that it was HOT! Took a while to eat. The wait staff was really friendly and attentive. The restaurant was nice, well lit and clean! The bathrooms were also very well maintained. I would definitely go back! I highly recommend if you want a good noodle soup to go here!

Yelp
Ten Seconds Yunnan Rice Noodle is such a welcome addition to the 86th St food scene for me as a noodle lover. Rice noodles are an absolute favorite of mine and they're so good when paired with piping hot broth. The restaurant has both tomato and classic soup based and many choices of protein. I really like their original beef slices and noodles, either non-spicy or mala spicy. You have the option of putting all the ingredients in separately yourself or they can bring out everything in the bowl assembled. The star is really all their noodle dishes. Their appetizers fall a bit flat in variety and intrigue. I've gotten their curry fish balls and fried wontons before, and they're just okay. Would save the stomach space for the main and desserts somewhere else on 86th after. Love coming here when I'm craving a big bowl of hot noodles in soup. A very filling meal for less than $15 a person, and truly a comfort food!

Yelp
The food is great here, I love being able to adjust the ingredients to my order. The ambience is nice too, even though it gets crowded often. The wait times aren't typically bad either. I love recommending this place to my friends!

Yelp
As we are officially now in winter mode, we decided to get something nice and hot to keep us warm. We ended up getting the R3 (beef brisket in tomato soup) and the original beef noodle soup. Note that both were not spicy but if you do favor it with a little kick you can ask for a side of chilli oil. The soups were both flavorful. You have the option to either have all the items separate for you to do yourself or to have them throw it together for you. We had them do it. Pros - potions are good for the price, soup is flavorful, soup stays hot for a very long time. Cons - didn't care much for the whole pieces of little. Prefer them to be cut up a bit. Didn't care for the noodles much, I was expecting like hand drawn noodle consistency but this was more softer. Needs better chopsticks I feel. The small wooden one makes it pretty difficult to eat with. Overall a nice play to grab a nice hot bowl of noodle soup during the cold winter.

Yelp
Very disappointed at the noodles. We ordered the original and tomato based. The tomato based noodles were okay, more flavorful compared to the original base. The original soup based noodles were such a disappointment, very bland with the soup base. Noodle texture was nothing special either but it was a quick eat.

Yelp
I came here w/ my sister a few weeks ago & was so happy a Yunnan Rice Noodle shop opened w/in the neighborhood. I typically go to the one at 7th avenue sunset park brooklyn called Western Yunan Crossing Bridge Noodle. The yunnan noodles here was very delicious and I would definitely come back here again. I ordered the Spicy Beef Brisket Rice Noodle but got to try the smashed cucumber salad spicy sauce & the pickled pepper beef rice noodle from my sister. All of the items were so fresh, delicious and exciting (spicy). The spicy cucumber salad at first was not spicy but the spice kicks in afterwards. The cucumbers were very refreshing and well seasoned. The spicy beef brisket rice noodle was spicy and very exciting. The mala sauce gets to you. The soup was delicious and savory. The noodles was al dente and everything in this bowl was heaven! The pickled pepper beef rice noodle was not spicy and pretty good. The broth was savory and of good quality. My favorite was the spicy beef brisket rice noodle because it was exciting to eat it. The shop was very clean, spacious and comfortable. The staff was friendly and attentive. I will come back here soon again!

Yelp
Wow, the yunnan noodles exceeded our expectations! It was as delicious as my favorite yunnan noodle shop at Sunset Park, Brooklyn (Western Yunan Crossing Bridge Noodle). The shop was very spacious and comfortable, clean and with nice decor. The staff was attentive and friendly. We ordered to share: 1) Smashed cucumber salad with spicy sauce, 2) R8 - Pickled Pepper Beef Rice Noodle, 3) R10 - Spicy Beef Brisket Rice Noodle. The spicy cucumber salad was very delicious - the spice sneaks up on you! The cilantro, spicy sauce made the crunchy cucumbers so delicious! It was also very refreshing! The R8 (pickled pepper beef rice noodle) was not spicy and amazing! The broth was very tasty, savory and well seasoned! Noodles were of good quality and al dente. I loved it very much! The R10 (spicy beef brisket rice noodle) was amazing also! After a few bites, it gets spicy (beware of the bottom of the soup - that's where all the spice is). You can taste the mala. I rarely eat spicy foods, but this one was very delicious and exciting! Highly recommend this place! Delicious noodles & great service!

Yelp
My friend recommended this place and it was great! I got the beef tomato noodle soup and it was definitely a nice comfort meal. I love the tomato broth and noodles were cooked perfectly ~ I wish there were more slices of meat but overall portion was good. I was stuffed! Would come back if I am craving some nice warm noodle soup!

Yelp
3 1/2 really. Came here for lunch. Ordered the tomato soup noodle with beef. They did not have enough server that day. One guy was very nice but the girls were a bit rude. Literally asked if we can sit inside since everyone was behind us by the front counter and they said those were for four people. Which was fine, but u turn around and let 2 people party sit at the table we just asked. The noodles and soup was fine but the beef was very beefy (& I love steak) but it was not a nice beefy taste. Potato salad was good. Probably wouldn't come back.

Yelp
Ok I've eaten here 7+ times now to give this 5-star rating. When I saw this place renovating on 86th ST last year, I was like damn this place has guts to open during a pandemic. I've ordered pick up many times now (during Winter & Spring) and after trying most of their noodle flavors, the food really doesn't disappoint, so is their customer service!! I've came into store at different times of the day, right when they open, during lunch, afternoons, etc. The team is always so friendly and warm. One time when I was leaving, the staff in the very back of the kitchen even shout BYE to me to make sure I heard her, that's true customer service. Anyway back to the foods. The major broth flavors are their Original, Tomato Soup, Spicy Tingly Ma-La, Kimchi, and Golden Pepper Soup. My favorite broth has to be their Tomato and Golden Pickled Pepper, the broth taste so hearty and natural, nothing artificial & salty. Like their broth is sooo good that even though I probably shouldn't drink all of it (sodium cough*), but I just can't resist! I've tried most of their major items, my favorites are: Pork Chop Noodles in Tomato Soup, Fatty Beef Slices Noodles in Pickled Pepper Soup, and Chinese Beef Brisket Noodles in Tomato Soup. They also offered a few Recommended flavors like the Chicken and Fish. I've ordered the Chicken Rice Noodles and the chicken broth is superior. Again, very hearty like their tomato broth, so satisfying to eat and also perfect if you're feeling a bit sick and want something healthy to eat. Good things: Very secured and layered packaging for to-go noodles. I've seen they upgraded their containers few times over the year, noodles are always separated from broth. Always fresh rice noodles as well, love the bounciness, not mushy at all. Portion is big! I'm a quite big eater, and a bowl of their noodles always fill me up. Downside: I also wish they'd give you a bit more protein/topping in the noodles. It looks like a lot in-person because everything is presented out on little plates, but not so when getting to-go. All the basic toppings sank to the bottom of the broth bowl.

Yelp
My parents who are sticklers for Chinese cuisine can't get enough of this place and I'd have to agree with them. This is one of those noodles places where if you drink all the broth you don't feel dehydrated afterwards even though the broth is so flavorful and they claim to not use msg.
