18 Sensational Chinese and Taiwanese Restaurants in the Seattle Area

"At Ten Seconds Yunnan, the flagship dish is Crossing the Bridge Noodles, available with a variety of broth flavors. Diners pour accompanying bowls of quail egg, fish, or meat (the beef brisket is a favorite), vegetables, tofu, herbs, and condiments into the broth, followed by the rice noodles — which cook for 10 seconds before the dish is ready to eat. While the Bellevue location has been around longer, the Chinatown–International District location is co-branded with Nai Brother Chinese Sauerkraut Fish, so diners can also enjoy big bowls of fish in hot-and-sour broth in the same setting." - Jay Friedman

We unfortunately didn’t get the full experience because we door dashed this place, but even ordering takeout, the food quality was exceptional! Can’t even imagine how much better it would be if we dined in person. I got the dry beef tripe rice noodles, my boyfriend got the tomato beef brisket rice noodles, and we had the fried donuts to share. The portions are massive even in the Togo containers and they were delivered in a high quality reusable bag as well! The tomato soup broth was hot, flavorful, the right amount of acidity, and was well portioned with loads of meat, veggies, and noodles. My dry beef tripe noodles were a tad bit spicy, but also flavorful, a giant portion size, and a lot of meat for what it was worth. It does come with peanuts too, for those with peanut allergies. Even my son liked my dish, and he is extremely picky. The fried donuts were delicious too! Perfectly crisp, hot, and would be perfect with a side of condensed milk to dip it with. Will definitely try again, but for dine in next time.

Our visit to Seattle was very rainy and cold. This place did not disappoint. All our meals were delicious. The soup was amazing and tasty. It’s definitely good for sharing. Make sure you park in their designated area so you’re not looking for a parking space like we did. Just ask them first before parking anywhere.

We went here on a whim, as I was merely visiting Seattle for a day, and had a pretty good experience!! It was very quiet when we went, but staff was attentive and quick. There were problems at check out about us splitting the check and then charging it all on one card, but we were in a rush at the end of our meal, so just make sure you double check everything at the end if you have time! Our table got the popcorn chicken dry noodles, and the beef fried rice. Both were SUPER good (popcorn chicken is thigh meat as far as I could tell, for those with texture issues), and the noodles were spicy but delicious. Fried rice was nice and savory, meat was very tender! Overall I would recommend this place, it's obvious they make everything in house and fresh, and service was very friendly and good. We'll definitely be back next time I'm in town!

Google
Came on a workday for lunch and has a few groups of guests. Plenty of parking space on their designated parking spots next to the building. Grilled fish (pickled flavor) was great. It was marked spicy but actually very mild. Not too salty either. Lots of veggies. We also ordered their classic rice noodle. For a limited time they offer a free coconut desert with the grilled fish order. Tastes great too! Just perfectly sweet and authentic flavor. I’d come back more often.

Driving through the area and stopped here because they are amongst the few restaurants downtown that offer free reserved parking spaces. I did not have very high expectations, and I was absolutely blown away by their offering. I had Beef & Tripe Dry Rice Noodle and it was spectacular. The portions were generous, especially the meat, and the food was delicious. It had just the right amount of heat, and the fried peanuts added a delightful crunch. I didn't expect them to have spicy crayfish on the menu, and upon seeing it I knew I had to try it. It was deliciously spicy, pleasantly numbing and tasted very authentic. The crayfish were on the small side and didn't have much meat on them, which is unfortunate. However overall this restaurant is very underrated and I highly recommend coming here to give their food a try!

Google
Rice noodles are soft and delicious, with a well-balanced broth that complements them perfectly. The mala beef soup is just as tasty. The tiny staff member provides excellent service—serving every table, refilling water three times, and handling payments, all on their own. So adorable!

Google
Authentic Yunan Rice Noodles! I ordered the one with beef and tomato, it was amazing! Just the same taste like I had when I travelled to Kunming, Yunan.

Google
I meant to order some snacks in their Bellevue store but ended up ordering in this Seattle store via Panda App. I called them immediately to cancel the order and they refused. I was with a friend in their Bellevue store so I reordered the same snacks in their Bellevue store. After I sent my friend home I wen to Seattle store to pick up my order. They only do the half size of that in Bellevue Store. I asked them why you charged the same price but only offer half size. The lady was very rude and said this is what they offered. I highly recommend the Bellevue store. They do six pieces of normal size pumpkin pies and a full size box of fried chicken(The 4th picture. Even the leftover is more than what was offered in this Seattle store)!!!

Yelp
Lunch special is such a great deal! For the lunch special I got a fish dish and it comes with a soda and an appetizer. Picked the broth first then the type of fish. I had Golden Pickle Sauerkraut with the Crisp Grass Carp and Popcorn Chicken. Lunch special is only $19.99 and the price changes depends on the add-on to your dish or if you chosen the expensive fish. Also got the Dry Pot FrogLeg, it was definitely spicy but the good kind of spicy. What else is in it? We'll, there's cucumbers, onions, bell pepper, crisp potatoes, and cilantro. The service at the restaurant was pretty solid considering the circumstances. Our waitress was handling at least seven other tables on her own, which is a tough task for anyone. Despite being so busy, she still managed to get our order in quickly, and the kitchen had the food out in a reasonable amount of time. She did forget our soda, but honestly, given how much she had on her plate, it's understandable. Overall, she was doing her best under pressure, and it showed. Would definitely come back in the future to try other dishes.

Yelp
Stopped in for a quick bite in what may be the longest restaurant name I've come across (the sign outside reads "Ten Seconds Yunnan Rice Noodles / Nai Brother Chinese Sauerkraut Fish"). I tried the Beef Fried Rice and the Popcorn Chicken Dry Rice Noodle. The fried rice was a little on the bland side, but the popcorn chicken noodles was really satisfying. Service was friendly and efficient -- food came out quickly. What caught my attention, though, was their specialty: the Yunnan-style rice noodle soup. They serve it as an interactive meal -- you get a bowl of broth and a dozen or so small side plates of meats, veggies, and noodles, all meant to be added in yourself. Definitely an experience I'll be coming back to try next time!

Yelp
Best Asian cuisine we have had in Seattle yet! Seating is comfortable. There are so many authentic yunnan favorites. Food arrived quickly and was so delicately prepared. If you like spicy seafood noodles, try A14 "Spicy Fish Rice Noodles" with Basa Fish. My daughter had A22 popcorn chicken with dry noodles and loved it. Mango dessert with Pamelo completes the experience. Would definitely come again!

Yelp
This was a nice surprise in Seattle Chinatown. The name says Yun Nan noodles which was kinda misleading. The restaurant also serves grilled fish and fish hotpot. We tried their grilled fish - 2 pounds for $55. The fish was tender, nearly boneless and very tasty. I haven't had live fish for a long while so this was a nice surprise. The fish pot also came with a variety of veggies including napa, bean curd, mushrooms and potatoes. $55 also came with a complimentary coconut jelly jar which was great value. Worth the visit for sure!

Yelp
Came here with a group of ten for dinner on a Wednesday night. I got the A3, beef brisket noodle with pork broth, it was delicious and came with a lot of sides you put in the soup. We also had the popcorn chicken appetizer which was super tasty. My husband had the dry noodles with popcorn chicken which had a nice numbing spice flavor. Service was quick although they missed one person's order so it was delayed. The ube coconut dessert was nice and refreshing too.

Yelp
Ten Seconds is one of my favorite places to go for a meal in CID! Their service is excellent and their food is predictably great. I usually get the beef brisket rice noodle soup, which is one huge pot of soup with noodles, beef brisket, and other toppings arranged on the side. When you're ready to eat, you can pour in any amount of the toppings! I love putting the beef brisket into the soup early to give it tons of flavor. I also think this dish is the best bang for your buck, the portion is so big that I have trouble finishing it in one go. I've also gotten the Beef and Beef Tripe Dry Noodles, which is also great. FYI it comes with peanuts which is not mentioned on the menu. The perk is that it comes with a free soft drink! As mentioned before, the service is awesome. We have always gotten complementary red bean sago soup and a lemon chia drink as dessert. They also have a couple of free parking spots right next to the shop, which I always forget about! Will definitely be coming back.

Yelp
Parked here accidentally going to Chengdu and they towed car. Ive seen Ten seconds customers and people park in Chengdu spot as well . Sadly Ten seconds called the tow provider to tow me . They were rude when i confronted them,I know it was our mistake but they could've easily walked next door to advise us to move. Now paying $600 to get my car out.

Yelp
I ordered for pick up. I tried their beef and tripe combo dry noodle and pig ears as a side dish. They provide a large portion of the noodles. The dish was flavorful. I really like the braised tripe. It also included pickled vegetables which helps change the flavor. The pig ears are crunchy and spicy which I enjoy. Would love to come back and try other dishes.

Yelp
Such good food and reasonably priced!! It takes one or two tries before you get addicted! All the appetizers are legit and delicious! The grilled fish dishes are so fresh and phenomenal tasting best to share with 3 or more people! We tried most of the noodle flavors and the favorite is the golden sour noodles dish. We ask for slightly less spice. Without that it's too spicy to be enjoyable. The kitchen will make the spice level accommodation even if some new servers don't know. The first time I was thrown off by the chicken wing but it's braised and delicious!
google avatar

Yelp
Service was great, food was good! The noodle soups were flavorful and hot. Though, I really don't understand the idea of separating all the ingredients and you just end up dumping all of it in the soup? I guess you have the option to put as little or as much of a certain ingredient in your bowl. But there are other noodle soup options where there is no option to have all the ingredients on small dishes! The fish soup was delicious. It's quite large so there's definitely leftovers. The server was really nice, he answered my parents' million questions and was patient. They gave customer a refreshing juice at the end! We came on a Tuesday around dinner, so it was empty with only 1-2 tables, but later more customers came filtering in. Place was clean and bigger than I thought.

Yelp
I'd previously been to the location in Bellevue, but recently tried the location in ID as well (as a tip they'll validate your parking if you park in the lot next door)! Just as it was in Bellevue, they have a few broth options and different combos to build out your soup. You can either get all the trimmings on the side or already put inside (which, I prefer to have them do it as otherwise you have to wait for some components to cook in the bowl). The menu seems larger and more complicated than it was previously which I'm not a fan of, but the service was great and the food was tasty (and buy 2 get 1 soups when we went, does it get any better?) so it's hard not to recommend it!

Yelp
Don't go to this restaurant!!! We oreder 3 bowls of rice but all of the rice are extremely dry. So we requested the waitress to exchange another one for us. Suddenly, the manager came to our table and yelled at us. I said "you don't have to scream out and yell at us. She is very rude. Then she left and called 911 on us. Is it crazy??? Her daughter is working in the restaurant as a waitress. She told us "the manager is her mom and her mom's name is Susan."

Nathasha S.

Yelp
A welcome addition to CID! My husband and I share the fish sauerkraut hotpot and added rice noodles. When our hotpot came, I added the rice noodles to the broth and it was perfect! It comes with a bowl of rice but we just took that home. We would def come again! There is 3 spots for free parking to the lot next door.
google avatar

Caroline S.

Yelp
Just really really good sauerkraut beef with rice. They give you so much beef and quite a bit and variety of tofu. The servers are always really nice and attentive. I keep coming back!
google avatar

Maggie W.

Yelp
First time eating here. We tried the Mala spicy live fish. It was super tender and delicious. The waiter explained items on the menu throughly and made recommendations. Water was filled often. There was complimentary dessert. The interior was nice and clean. We really enjoyed the food and will be coming back to try other items on the menu. There is free parking in the lot next to the restaurant.
google avatar

Michael D.

Yelp
I have no idea what I ordered. Service was excellent, but ended up with a super-hot booking soup with 1/2 chicken on bone it bottom of pot. It was overpriced. But I still have no idea what I ordered.

Yelp
So happy to see that they've opened a location Seattle side! I've been going to the Bellevue location for awhile now- it's by far my favorite noodle place! I'm happy that the quality is consistent. My go to is either the regular pork bone broth (crossing bridge noodles) or the tomato broth with fish - it's always a 10/10 generally the one dish is more than enough food but if you've got a really good appetite or have friends to share with, I recommend the popcorn chicken or seaweed. Restaurant and bathroom is clean Service may be underwhelming to some people but the staff are nice and it's not hard to wave someone down.
google avatar

Abren B.

Yelp
Service was terrible and food was underwhelming. The owner is spiteful and will have your car towed if it's in the wrong space. Even if it's within an hour of closing on a Sunday. Had five cars towed in a single night.
google avatar

Sophia L.

Yelp
Was back in the area and this place strikes again. They had just released new recipes for their live fish. Fish is super tender, meat comes right off the bone. I believe they fry it first, drizzle it in their special sauce, and then bake it. Lots of steps so the flavor definitely marinated in. They come with base ingredients but you can always add more from the menu. Averages around $50-60 for one, slightly cheaper than what you can get elsewhere. The crab dry pot is also amazing. You get the whole crab, some potatoes, and lotus, and it really just opens up your appetite. Definitely get some rice for this, it can be a little spicy. Everything is made with care and you could totally just tell from how much work they take to set the plate.

Priscilla L.

Yelp
I've been here 2 times with my friend. The first time we've gotten a lunch special, which is an individual hot pot that comes with a side and a drink. We got the sauerkraut hot pot with beef, spicy cucumbers, and cola! Beware, it says Pepsi on the menu in English but the Chinese is Coke and what they give you is Coca Cola. The second time we split a lunch special again, this time trying the tofu mushroom base with fish, and pork gyoza and sprite. It costs $20 and it is available weekdays 11-3. It can feed both me and my friend and we were very full after, so I'd say it's a great deal! $10 per person for a good filling meal!!! Henry a server is always nice and remembered us because we ordered 3 servings of eggs as it was so yummy lol. The space is clean, bathrooms are very clean and spacious. Overall will come back! Love love love!

lux l.

Yelp
Decent for a quick noodle fix. Register your car when parked in the lot next to store, park where the indicated reserved signs. Once ordered, food comes out quiet quickly.
google avatar

Pearl W.

Yelp
A good noodle restaurant in the ID! We got the sauerkraut fish noodle soup and it was everything I wanted. This is one of my favorite foods so I'm glad to have a reliable place close to me. The portion is big enough to feed 2-3 people. On the other hand, the popcorn pork was dry.

Vivian C.

Yelp
Today me and my friends went to this restaurant I very like the new item spicy crawfish' is tasty yummy ,restaurant very clean service is fantastic and they have a new special for July 4,and we will definitely be back on July 4
google avatar

Rachel F.

Yelp
Came two more times to try different flavors, both are great. Henry is wonderful and he is always so kind and helpful. We really enjoyed dining here, will definitely come again and try other items;)
google avatar

Yelp
Food are good but waiter don't seem to care about anything and never come check on you even when customer drop a bowl of sauce on the ground nobody come clean it up
google avatar

Xiaoyan L.

Yelp
Impeccable. The best hot pot i have ever had。Also can hear the sizzle of the soup. I would come back again with my family.Because of the grate service and nice food。Also they have fish hot pot. I would like to try next time.
google avatar

Simon T.

Yelp
Traditional yet modern - a really unique experience in International District! Worth trying multiple soup bases if possible - the bone broth and fish hot pot (with numbing spice) are both well worth it. Can be modified to be less spicy, too! Finish it off with the sago dessert.
google avatar

Wendy M.

Yelp
Found this spot when I was craving noodles and ended up returning the next day to try the bubble waffle and tea. Everything was tasty and exactly what I was looking for. The noodle soup was flavorful and perfect for a cold rainy day, plus the presentation was fun and they didn't skimp on the ingredients! The bubble waffle with pork floss was awesome too.

Mang X.

Yelp
Be careful! They charge you 18% mandatory service fee before tip! And they expect you to tip more! Never gonna go again and will make sure friends and families know that as well.

Julia L.

Yelp
Very delicious food that brought me back to visits to China! Quick and kind service as well
google avatar

Xiaoling J.

Yelp
Excellent food and noodles. They are firm, delicious and very tasteful. Authentic taste and excellent customer service with great side dishes to pair along with it. Well worth the money and time spent. The staff were friendly and cordial, overall excellent experience.

May W.

Yelp
This was my first time visiting this restaurant and it looks clean. When I said I could eat mildly spicy, the waitress recommended some dishes to me based on my preferences. I chose the kimchi rice noodles, which had lots of toppings. It tastes good and not too spicy. I would consider bringing my family. The price is reasonable.
google avatar

Thu P.

Yelp
Decided to give this place a try but I was very disappointed. It was a waste of money. Service was terrible. it was hard to find parking and they would toll your car if you don't park it at the correct location. Definitely did not work the $500 dollars tolling fee.

B S.

Yelp
Their meals have lunch meat in them. It's yucky and unhealthy. My kids think they smell and taste like dog food. Some people may like them but for those who don't, I suggested to allow switch them out. But the cook said they won't allow it. $3 tofu for $3 lunch meat needs to add extra money. I simply asked them to take lunch meat out. It doesn't make sense. I suggest the owner reconsider and offer the options that do not include lunch meat. I asked this a couple of months ago to a waitress when I ate here there first time and she said next time I can make the request. They probably don't care what I said. I am suggesting it here.
google avatar

Jennifer H.

Yelp
Food and service were underwhelming. With all the other noodle food options in International district i wouldnt even bother.

S L.

Yelp
Wonderful broth and great toppings. Super new and clean restaurant. Great service and good food!

Simon H.

Yelp
The servers were very inviting and we were seated almost immediately. There was a good selection noodle dishes with many different variations. Provided a very hearty meal. Would definitely come back again.

Yelp
I was on my way to Chengdu Memory and noticed that they opened a new Ten Seconds. I have been to the Bellevue location multiple times and was surprised to see another one in Seattle. Parking is really easy, they have free parking up to an hour however it's first come first serve. The store is really bright and clean. We got the popcorn chicken for apps and it's really crisp with the right amount of seasoning. My boyfriend got the chicken rice noodle and omg the chicken leg is huge. I got my all time favorite green pepper noodles. I took the leftover soup, added some noodles and made it my dinner

Francy M.

Yelp
It has free parking spot on the right side of the restaurant that really convenient for the guests

Xianghui X.

Yelp
Great food and services. Love the spicy rice noodles. Great food and services. Love the spicy rice noodles.

Angela L.

Yelp
The service is spectacular, the workers are really nice and patient. They're easy to communicate with and it was a breeze to order food. The food came up really quick and I was able to finish dine in in around 30 minutes. The base of the noodle soups were really tasty and had the perfect amount of saltiness. it also came with vegetable, meat, and egg. Overall, I loved this place and would come here again!

Sheng Z.

Yelp
Bussin food yo. The noodles here are the best I've ever had in the Seattle area. Nothing more to be sqid

Jack L.

Yelp
The spicy beef appetizer had a great kick, and the tomato soup rice noodles were a comforting blend of flavors. The service was attentive, and the cozy ambience enhanced the overall dining experience. Parking is reserved for customers only.

Great service, tastes authentic. Noodles were great especially during a cold winter day
