Ten To Sen - Review - Shimokitazawa - Tokyo - The Infatuation

"Ten To Sen makes some of the best vegan ramen we've tried in Tokyo. They specialize in soup curry ramen, which is based on a similar brothy dish from Hokkaido that’s commonly loaded with a colorful rainbow of vegetables and meats. At Ten To Sen, they’ve taken a similar approach but added ramen with both a vegan and non-vegan option. Focus on the vegan, which is like a wild garden bursting from the bowl—it’s topped with fried burdock, wood ear mushrooms, lightly tempuraed broccoli, baby corn, red onions, cashews, and watermelon radish. We also appreciate that the restaurant is a little larger than the usual ramen shop." - Kiera Wright-Ruiz

Overall: a ramen shop you should come and try! Very flavorful noodle which is in soup curry style. The noodle has a really tender texture which increase the overall experience. The soup is as rich as the soup curry you may get, making it super flavorful and easy to go with all ingredients. The detailed cook of the burdock which creates a light crispy surface at the end of its surface makes it much more acceptable to me. I really appreciate it. The only drawback is that the price is slightly higher than expected (200 yen over my expectation) while considering the portion of protein. Also, I wish the soup curry broth can be a bit lighter and less richer to let me taste the chashu better as it’s the important factor of ramen.

Delicious curry-noodle with a super nice owner. Despite speaking little English he offered to take pictures of us, a rarity in Tokyo. The broth felt rich, tasty, you can ask for non spicy or very spicy if you don’t speak Japanese but order via the qr code (a website to order) instead of the machine. The place probably holds about 15 people max

The most surprising ramen we tried. The flavors are more like a curry dish, very aromatic, but in a form of a ramen. If you are looking for more classic option- maybe it's not the place. But as ramen lovers, We like to see the variety of options for the same dish, and this one extended the scale. We chose spicy level 2, it was good, not too much so I could have feel all flavors, but still some hot 😉🔥

Very delicious Had the spice ramen, normal spice level. Soup was delicious. Wish I had the stomach space for the special, I'm certain I would have enjoyed it. They did a zero spice level for my kids.

Found this place through social media and it looked really interesting. It was honestly very good, we went a little off peak hour and got seated immediately on a Sunday. I ordered their spice ramen, the soup curry was flavourful, noodles were just the right amount and the overall spice I though was quite mild. Overall a great experience, and definitely worth a stop!

One of the best bowls of curry ramen I’ve ever had! This cozy little spot in Tokyo completely blew me away. The curry ramen was rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced — every bite was comforting and packed with depth. The entire menu was impressive, but that ramen truly stole the show. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with a cool, relaxed vibe that made it feel like a hidden gem. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, adding to the whole experience. I’m still thinking about that meal — absolutely unforgettable.

Cozy place offering a range of soup/dry curry ramen! We had the spice ramen set (spice ramen + special rice + lassi/chai) and special spice ramen (additional toppings) and everything was solid. The soup curry is very unique and we slurped up every drop! Accepts both cash and digital/e-payments.
