California Bars Now Required to Stock Drug Test Kits | Eater LA

Tenants of the Trees Review - Silver Lake - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"Tenants is a very Silver Lake bar, complete with a teepee on the patio and a crowd of people you vaguely recognize from Instagram and/or your improv class - but when it comes to dancing, it’s one of the best options in the neighborhood. Tenants has a main dance floor that plays mostly hip hop, and it gets incredibly crowded (read: sweaty) around midnight. Or, if you’d prefer, you can head to the bar area, where they’re usually playing oldies that make for a nice break from shooing away the stranger who keeps dancing in your personal space." - Amy Clark

Whoever the old lady bouncer was on thursday should be fired. We come to Tenants every week and spend a lot of money at the bar. For some reason my friends and I were judged on our looks immediately upon walking up. I handed her my ID and she replies with have a good night and didn’t let us in. I’m 23 years old. The whole night was ruined because of her ego. Please hire better people ❤️

Google
I’ve never seen security guy being scared of a host lol The host didn’t let us in because my bf is black. All the comments about racial profiling are real. I don’t know how this place can still be on with the way they treat people. Some old lady who clearly was bullied in a high school now became a host and has her little moment of power.. are you for real?

Google
The bouncers and staff really try to pretend as if they're doing you a favor by letting you waste your money at their establishment. It has the wrong energy and I dont think it's a safe place for women.

I have been to this place multiple times, but after what happened recently, I will never return. My friends and I went to celebrate a birthday, and the treatment we received was beyond unacceptable. When we approached the bouncer to ask about the guest list he immediately told us, “Oh, you are not getting in.” Completely confused, we got in line, only to be met by a girl at the door who did not even look us in the eyes and bluntly told us, “You cannot get in.” When we asked why, she turned her back on us. The bouncer then said it was because my friend “gave her a look”(which was pure nonsense, as my friend was just shocked by the rudeness). As if that was not bad enough, we were even stopped from giving the birthday girl a hug when she came outside. The reason they gave was ridiculous: my friend had an empty cup that she was throwing out from her car. So, because she was holding an empty cup, we were not allowed to enter? Ridiculous. One of the most frustrating parts was seeing how inconsiderate the staff was to others. A girl asked the bouncer if she could get her inhaler from her car and he said no, telling her, “You can step out to take a couple of breaths.” That was just unacceptable, especially when it involves someone’s health! It seems like this place has gone downhill. I have heard so many similar stories from others, and it’s clear that the staff has an attitude problem. The workers at the door act like they have something to prove, and it’s honestly childish and unprofessional. I used to enjoy coming here, but after this experience, it is clear that the place is dying, and so is the service. I will not be returning and would not recommend this establishment to anyone looking for a welcoming or enjoyable experience.

Google
they clearly profile their clientele. if you're trans, and/or not attractive enough to their standard, you are not allowed in. definitely didn't feel comfortable immediately upon being critiqued by the management, even if they spin a story to make you walk away calmly. I've never had such an exclusive, vapid experience in my life at any bar. no thanks, I'll stick to queer clubs & events. waste your time here if you want to be a (straight cis) clout-chaser; they've built their whole brand around it

Google
front door staff is comically atrocious. you would be better off at 4100 bar down the street. at least there you would know your drinks are safe

I was screamed at and had a finger pointed in my face by the bartender. He was wearing glasses and had like bushy, curly hair. My friend gave me and my other friend a flower, so as a joke we put it in our shirts. The guy walked up to me, snatches the flower out of my shirt. Then points his finger in my face and screams at me to not touch the vase and that he’s going to kick me out. I saw so many other people with flowers, and they did not get yelled at. I did not touch it, I did not think it was going to be a huge problem, and there could have been a WAY nicer/professional way to go about this. After getting yelled at like a dog, my mood for the whole night was ruined because of this man’s aggressive behavior and attitude. I have never been approached and yelled at by someone in an establishment like the way he did. It was extremely triggering.

I’ve been to this place twice, and both times the restrooms were completely full. you have to wait in line for at least 20 minutes. So, I decided to leave the club and find a restroom somewhere outside. When I tried to get back in, the face control refused, saying they couldn’t let me in because I had already been there. I told them, “Guys, maybe fix your restroom situation, and this wouldn’t be a problem. My friends are waiting for me.” But they just shrugged and didn’t let me in. I hadn’t even been drinking, by the way. The customer service here is terrible. easily a -1000. The staff was rude, and the bar itself is ridiculously small. They seriously need to improve their attitude toward customers. Maybe then I’d reconsider my opinion. I’ve never dealt with such rude and unprofessional management before. It’s disappointing because they completely ruined my night.

Yelp
I usually have a great time. Super fun crowd, obviously in high demand. Can get very busy. $50 bar minimum on weekends depending on who works the door. Yes they will accept you based on looks they like to maintain a curated crowd. I like to remind everyone there are hundreds of bars to choose from in LA, stop trying to go to places that are strict with clientele.

Yelp
Like most of the reviews indicate, the staff is extremely nepotistic, judgmental, and they gatekeep hard making up fake guest lists and denying people for not looking hipster enough. I came here very often for years before the pandemic, since it opened in fact. It was my favorite spot. As an artist, I even had a specific table that people named as my spot because I'd always chill there and sketch people. But since they reopened, it's become even MORE exclusive. I just drove over an hour for a party only to be turned away at the door even though my friend was inside and had invited me. So, at the moment, I'm over holding faith in this place. And I never had a problem with hipsters, but this bs judgy club vibe has killed my respect. The redeeming 1 star is because the lighting and interior is dope. But beyond that, it's a zero stars rating for all the human aspects of it; the "tenants" or inner circle truly suck as people. Tonight finally confirmed it for me. As always, much like most of my 15 years in LA, this was a reminder of how excluded and devalued I've always felt because I don't dress in dickeys and penny loafers, don't have random tiny tattoos of knives or bicycles on my hands, I don't wear vintage Gucci sweaters, nor do I have supreme stickers on my car, my hair isn't bleached and I don't have an eyebrow piercing. How dare I exist? How dare I enjoy my old favorite bar.

Yelp
Tenants of the Trees was a major letdown during my recent visit. Despite hearing good things, the experience tonight was far from impressive. They charged a hefty $50 cover per person, and you had to buy multiple drinks just to get in. The bouncers were downright rude, and the only reason we managed to get inside was because we had friends DJing; otherwise, they wouldn't have given us a second glance. The atmosphere, which used to be inviting, felt tainted by the exorbitant charges and unwelcoming staff. I'm writing this review because I felt I had to--this wasn't a case of a one-off bad night. It's a shame, because the venue had potential, but this kind of treatment leaves a bad taste. I wouldn't recommend it based on this experience--there are better places to enjoy a night out without the hassle.
google avatar

Kevin H.

Yelp
Bottom line up front: This place is horribly racist. My friends and I (white guys) arrived for a birthday party around 11pm and got right in without paying any kind of cover. As we were entering, the two black girls waiting behind us were told that there was a $50 cover which would go toward their tab (which we obviously thought was extremely weird). Inside, we met our friend who's black -- he said he also had to pay a $50 cover! Throughout the night, we asked around and he was the only person in our party that had to pay a cover. Isn't this literally illegal?
google avatar

Derek L.

Yelp
Truly the worst place to be. Racist and unreasonable. Wouldn't let us in. Keep letting groups of white people in that aren't on the guest list. Won't be back.

C A.

Yelp
Trying to be Berghain and failing miserably. I see it only got worse since I left the area. In this economy they'll go out of business. Grab da popcorn, foos.
google avatar

Chris G.

Yelp
The reviews are indeed true, this is an uncomfortable door and racist. Surprising given that it's in a trendy hip neighborhood.
google avatar

Jaemen T.

Yelp
Believe all the reviews. This place is terrible. They were mean, snobby, and entitled. The woman at the front is unbearably entitled.

Jade J.

Yelp
Absolutely terrible experience here last night my friends and I were harassed by the bouncers and treated so poorly after being respectful paying customers. This was more than a strict bouncer but people who aren't held responsible for their actions whilst they are being paid and supposed to be ensuring safety. It is bewildering to me that my friends left this bar crying because of the treatment from the staff.

Aidan S.

Yelp
Do not go here. If you don't look white, they will turn you away stating you're not on the guest list. There is no guest list. Everyone knows this. If you do happen to get in, they'll try to charge you a $50 cover. Save your money. Plenty of better bars in LA. If you could give 0 stars, this would it.
google avatar

Kat S.

Yelp
If I could add 0 stars I would. Avoid this bar at all costs!! Horrible lowlife bouncers in the front. I showed up with my girlfriend, and we were literally the only two people there and they denied us and told us to fuck off. I've never been denied to a bar in my whole life, and was sober when we walked up. Such a strange, bizarre experience. Seems like they don't want a lot of business there? From the sounds of it, it shouldn't even be a public bar, more of a friend circle that you're in or not in. Girl in front looks like an ugly vampire and acts like one as well. Then the rest of the scrawny 21 year old bouncers need to get a life as well. Would not recommend, unless you were my worst enemy LOL.

Kelan M.

Yelp
Tried to charge us a $50 bar fee that doesn't exist because we're gay. Believe the reviews.

Aren S.

Yelp
Extremely rude security and bouncer, specially the woman at the door, we were on the guest list, my friend made sure I was on it, but she had the worst attitude toward us with no reason at all, then have to call my friend to come outside to show that im on the list, and she was all bitter about it because she was wrong, like whatt??!! never coming back and would advise stay away as well, you are not missing anything. TRASH!!!

Ethan S.

Yelp
was on the guest list. got told wasn't on the guest list and was a $50 cover each. trash

Mila M.

Yelp
Absolutely horrible experience. I went with my boyfriend last night to meet up with a group of friends that were already inside. (All the friends inside are white btw and my boyfriend is black). We were denied entry because there was a "list". Meanwhile, everyone I knew inside was on no such list. After reading reviews on here, I'm highly inclined to think this was racially charged. Even if that's not the case, why are you lying about a list...? The bouncers were rude and the white brunette woman sitting outside with them was on a power trip sitting there with her smug face. Do not go here especially if you're not white.

Brooke B.

Yelp
I was roofied here last night and my martini was $23. Avoid this place, weird crowd and a lot of creepy older men.
google avatar

Zach F.

Yelp
Racism always sucks. I've never felt more in 1950 in LA than this establishment. I went there with my black friend tonight and this is how our time went: Arrive: Sorry guys, we are only letting guest list in tonight. 2 white guys 1 minute later: hi guys come on in (no mention of a guest list) Our own 4 white friends 5 minutes later: hi guys we are only letting in guest list right now but we'll slide your group in. Again, clean clear and simple. A shame that a place like this employs mean spirited people. Bad vibes all day long. Yikes
google avatar

Ashley N.

Yelp
Dumbasses park in nearby neighborhoods, walk to the bar and drive drunk home. Y'all do not know how to cut people off or manage your customers. So many sideswiped and fucked up cars for the locals because you're irresponsible
google avatar

Andrew B.

Yelp
The worst part of this bar was the creepy security guards upfront. They leered at everyone coming in, making you feel uncomfortable right from the start. Their demeanor was unsettling, and it seemed like they were more interested in intimidating patrons than ensuring safety. It definitely set a creepy tone for the entire evening, overshadowing any enjoyment we could have had inside. Definitely not a place I'd recommend if you want to feel safe and relaxed.

Alex J.

Yelp
Clearly racist establishment. I am a frequent goer of many bars and clubs and have never experienced such treatment. There were groups of white or white presenting people that got in without any questions. But when we approached the entrance, we were asked if we were on the "guest list" - a frequent way that venues discriminate. We got there when there was no line, it had only been open for 10 minutes and was empty inside. They should ashamed of themselves.
google avatar

Natalia A.

Yelp
The people in front of us they tried to charge $100 a person. With our group they wouldn't let us in because we had a guy in our group. They immediately told us to get out of line and it was absolutely wild the level of entitlement.
google avatar

Brandon A.

Yelp
The club just opened at 10pm and there was no line. It was me and a couple of friends in line and they said if we're not on the guest list then we have to buy a table $50 per person. Awful service and the people dress miserable at the door.

Alexandra A.

Yelp
I've never had a worst experience than I had here. I only came here because it was my friend's birthday. I'd seen all the bad reviews and tried to be optimistic, but TRUST THE REVIEWS!! The bouncers/front door people are incredibly rude, condescending, and RACISTS! When we got there, there was a small line so we waited behind it. Before we could even get to the front one guy with an iPad said if we didn't have reservations we wouldn't be able to get in. I didn't really care bc it happens, but then another WHITE girl makes her way over to the front door they ask her for her ID and she waltzes in. That's when I knew we'd definitely been discriminated against. Listen, I'm 26 I don't care for the club or party scene too much. Maybe if I'd walked to front and just showed my ID I'd be let in, but I'm not here to fight or argue, but because I'd decided to treat them and the business with respect I was denied entry. So do with that what you will. I'd rather head to The Friends down the street!

Mary Grace C.

Yelp
Don't go this bar. They have terrible customer service from the hostess and security, paired with bad hygiene. They said they were only taking guest list- They required $50 per person plus gratuity for people not on the guest list.

Adriana G.

Yelp
PLEASE AVOID COMING HERE! The security were completely rude and could not be bothered to even help us out. One of them was a guy with blonde short hair and the other was a heavy set African man. Completely disgusted and horrified with how we were treated. I will be reporting this business. My friend & I were walking from their alley way to the entrance and when we were approached by a security guard that told us to get out of their establishment. We told him we were just finding our way to the front entrance and he basically yelled at us to leave the alley. We found our way to the front where the security in the front told us (blonde short hair man & Heavy set African man) told us we couldn't get in because his friend from the back told them we couldn't. We literally didn't do anything for any of them to react this way with us. When asked why, they just pushed us away. We were just trying to have a good time and did not expect to be treated this way. How can an establishment even keep their business running with people in the front handling others in such a spiteful way. Will NEVER come here again & best believe I will tell all my friends & followers that live near by to never visit here again.

Natalie G.

Yelp
Don't support this business! There are tons of other fun places to go in Silverlake and around LA rather than supporting an openly awful business. My friends and I wanted to stop here to meet some friends inside (never heard of it prior). Our friends said it was pretty dead, so we thought it would be easy to get inside. The male bouncer outside was about to let us all in when a random woman (assumingly another bouncer or manager) stepped up and saw an open can in one of our friend's hands (obviously we were going to throw it out before going inside). She then said, "Since you have an open can, everyone in your group must start a $50 dollar tab + gratuity to get in". We explained how we were going to throw it away and it was empty. She said, "Doesn't matter, since I saw an open can, you must pay". So we left and spent our money at the Friend two blocks away. She was very rude to us as we stepped out of line. The next morning I tried looking up that being a rule at any other club, but couldn't find anything. When I looked up the club, I was truly horrified by all the other racist and homophobic experiences that were written about here. I started to question if this was a "true policy" the club had (which would still be absurd and a waste of money) or if it was because I was attending the club with my gay friends. Also, for anyone asking how this woman would know that, my friends are dating so it was clear by their interactions with each other. While I am not 100% certain, other clubgoer's experiences made this seem likely. While this club seems to run off of "exclusively" as it seems to be dead often and a lot of people are turned away, these open acts of discrimination need to be addressed. Please spread the word to friends in the area who plan on going.

Yelp
Changing my three star review because even though it was above average for this bar the very strange owner replied in a very strange way to my initial review :/ hadn't thought about this place in a while but now will actively warn people against it. Sad as I had many good early memories here when I first moved to the city. Things change!

Noelle M.

Yelp
This place needs to be shut down. I wish it were possible to give them negative stars, because even 1 star is far too generous. The staff here are some of the rudest and most unprofessional people I have ever encountered. My friend and I asked the bouncer before stepping outside if we could return, and they assured us we could. We were gone for less than 2 minutes, but when we tried to re-enter where our other friends were, the bouncers' attitude completely changed. They insulted my friend and I, mocked us, and even shined a flashlight in our eyes. Its one thing to do your job and its another to insult your customers. During the incident, we asked to speak to the manager, who was present, but instead of addressing the situation, he started cussing us out. There are also photos and similar stories about these same disgusting individuals in other yelp reviews and their Google reviews. They refused to provide their names. They should be fired, and frankly, if this is how they treat people, they don't deserve to hold any job. I promise you there are many other fun clubs/bars in LA where the employees will not treat you like this. Please do not support this filthy establishment.

Yelp
SECURITY DOES NOT CARE ABOUT PEOPLE GETTING ROOFIED IN THEIR BAR. I got roofied here last weekend. Although I was not fully conscious my friends proceeded to complain to the security and acted like we were inconveniencing them with our issue. They did not care or try to help us. Stay away from this place.
google avatar

Leah K.

Yelp
HORRIBLE vibes. Used to come here and loved this place, so me and 7 friends went here to celebrate a huge milestone for one of our friends. Our 8th party member arrived minutes after us because he was parking. door guy made up a rule and refused to let him in or he had to pay a $50 cover at the door "because he was a single guy after midnight" (despite being with 7 other people), AND THEN we watched him let in single guys for free one after another right after that. The door guy was SO disrespectful, hostile, vindictive, and had the absolute worst energy for no reason, and clearly wanted to use his authority to feel superior and important. all 8 of us immediately left and we will absolutely never return to Tenants of the Trees ever again. Awful snobby energy. Don't go. If I could leave 0 stars, I would. for management: door guy was about 6'1", blonde buzzed head, wore a blue sweater on the night of 1/19/24. when I asked his name, he kept repeating "my name is have a good night." I am shocked you're letting that guy represent your establishment.
google avatar

Nat D.

Yelp
We are poc and they gave us a discount for our bday! And they let us in even though we're weren't on the guest list.
google avatar

Taylor O.

Yelp
Tenants is a super fun mid sized club. It's crowded, the line for the bathroom is long and it's hard to get in if you don't know someone or are on a list for something. The pros are that there are lots of colorful peopleX celebrities and music there. I recommend this club for release parties, ticketed events, etc. I don't recommend it for a night out because of the lines to get in and stinginess at the door. If you don't have a reason to be there, Zebulon is a larger, more accessible bar that's just as fun and queer for east side partying. Other nearby bars are the friend, the echo, and Clifton's
google avatar

Michael A.

Yelp
I've had many nice experience years ago, but clearly things have changed. Had some guests from out of town and was excited to show them this gem, however latest visit was not it at all.
google avatar

Michael O.

Yelp
Truly a magical place. Best music and people. Lori and the men at the door are some of the most iconic humans and owner is a legend. HIGHLY recommend coming here for the best night. xx

Edson H.

Yelp
If 0 stars was a thing I would give it that. Came here for an album release party that I got personally invited to by the artist's team. I show up and they say I'm not on the list. I clearly am because I get sent a screenshot of the list directly by the host of the event. I go back to the 3 rude door people and they completely ignore me telling me to leave after I kindly ask if they can check the list again since they didn't check it correctly the first time. Meanwhile, they're letting groups of white kids go in with no issues. I wasn't the only brown person who couldn't get in. Idk what kind of establishment this is but it's disgusting the way they treat people.
google avatar

Michael B.

Yelp
Wow the plethora of scathing reviews here continue to rack up. Tenants has had its time in the Sun, I've had countless good times here and am grateful for those opportunities to enjoy this place. I came often from 2016-2019. It's become an embarrassment and run by people and policies which are out of whack. The whole superiority complex they have is seriously baffling. Came here with two black friends (this was in 2019), we all were wearing necklaces/chains. The door woman mentioned that the owner didn't like Men wearing chains (wtf) and denied us entry. After a while we made it in regardless with some negotiation and when we get in we see a guy wearing a huge flavor flav style chain. The arbitrary double standards and attitude from Tenants have tanked this place. The door people size you up and determine if you're their cup of tea and just make discrimination a part of their business model. Sad because again I used to be a frequent patron but witnessed the toxicity firsthand on multiple occasions. Also If you're coming to Tenants and it doesn't work out, you're kind of far from any salvageable fun as it's a fairly remote location.
google avatar

James B.

Yelp
Never been treated so badly at a bar. The bouncer called me a slur and tried to charge me and my friend 50$s each to get in because we're men - at 10pm. The bar was dead. The guy with curly brown hair is a joke. Honestly the place is homophobic. Will be actively telling my girls to avoid this spot.
google avatar

Sintia P.

Yelp
I was invited to come here to celebrate a friends birthday. I arrived with two friends. An unfriendly woman greeted us at the door. We were asked if we were on a guest list. We were unaware a guest list existed. We explained we were there to celebrate a friends birthday and she would arrive shortly. We were rudely asked to step out of line. At that point we understood we would not be allowed inside. Our friends who were not on any guest list but are white were allowed inside. The birthday girl arrived and was told she needed to be on a guest list. The place was not bought out for a private event. Confused on why they turned a large party away but will never attempt to come back. Really disappointed a place like this still exist in a neighborhood I call home.
google avatar

Mike P.

Yelp
I have been coming here for years- albeit more recently, just to get to the door and realize I should have just gone to Zebulon. You should do the same. All the 1 star reviews are true. This is effectively the only bar in east LA that will try to make you feel bad that you exist. They pretend to be a nightclub and request a $50 drink minimum when effectively all you're paying for is entry into some half-rate house party. Even if your group has a good ratio, they'll still happily send you away. In no way does this place serve the neighborhood that it calls home. Anywhere else is better.

Adriana C.

Yelp
Denied entry and called disgusting for wearing a surgical mask. Told me I'd only be let in if I took it off inside.
google avatar

Whitney J.

Yelp
I know far too many people who have gotten roofied here-- it's not worth the risk especially if management isn't actively trying to do better. Also I was groped here and truly I cannot think of a worse place to spend an evening. Take your business somewhere else.

Toni N.

Yelp
If I could rate 0 stars I certainly would - I didn't see the reviews about this place until after I went for the first time. The reviews really fit. I went this past Saturday with a few friends and we walked up to a male bouncer who was about to check our IDs and let us in. A friend of mine had an open can of white claw that was empty that she had every intention of throwing out before we entered the bar. The rest of us did not have any alcohol on us. The male bouncer was about to let us in and a female bouncer came out of nowhere and told us we each had to open a $50 minimum tab to get in. We were all shocked as it seemed like we were going to be let in by this male bouncer. I told her the can my friend had was empty and she was going to throw it out. She immediately gave us an attitude saying that we decided to walk up there with an open can. We decided to leave because a $50 cover charge to open a tab is absurd. She was very rude to us as we left saying bye passive aggressively and ushering us aside. I have read many reviews since this experience and it seems there's a history of homophobia at this venue and I did happen to be there with my girlfriend who I'm physical with obviously (hand around her, holding hands, etc.) so I'm not sure if this pissed her off?? Nonetheless she was extremely rude and unnecessarily so because my friends and I were very respectful in line and we arrived at the door. I will never be going to this venue again given my own experience and the countless reviews I've seen not just on yelp but elsewhere on social media. You also lose money by turning patrons away by trying to cheat them out of more money. I was planning on buying a drink for my girlfriend but now I won't be back. I'll be telling everyone I know to never give business to this club. I hope you get shut down, especially after the racism and homophobia I've heard about from others.

Yelp
Roofies. Nuff said. I wanted to like this place bc it's beautiful but it's so pretentious, and I refuse to support those types. I love the cafe nido though. I'll stick to day time visits

They turn people away if you don't match their vibe. There's literally so many other bars in LA. Trust me, go somewhere else

Yelp
Such a shame.... This was legit my favorite bar in LA for a minute, loved the look & feel, ambiance, music, bartenders, everything about it, swapping vibes between the two different rooms and outdoor area, from 2016 to 2019 was great and I brought friends from out of town all the time. The place used to get packed and the two entrance thing made everything smoother, that being said, they've always had kind of obnoxious bouncers. I have been going since they finally reopened after pandemic times and first of all they ALWAYS say it's guest list only and of course that is never true, I don't think there's been a special event/guest list type of thing in there for years... normally when I'm alone or with only girlfriends they always let us in but they say it's guest list only and let us in with a warning that if there's more people in our group coming, they can't guarantee entry cause of capacity and it's always a joke cause the place it's always empty AF, the vibes have gotten weird, the petulance of the bouncers is uncanny and unnecessary... despite all that I've tried to give it a chance a couple more times recently just cause I had so many great memories there, but it has just been weird and last time I went I was with a man, it was pretty early in the evening, and they wouldn't let us in cause it was "guest list only", I didn't waste a second of my time bothering to argue with the bouncer, I was just like "no it isn't" fuck this and hit the Echo for a Hot Chip DJ set. This is LA, it's eclectic, it's open, it's accepting, it's beautiful, no need for people and bars with a nasty attitude. Sadly won't be coming back, it's just not what it used to be and not good LA vibes.

Yelp
Door girl named Olivia and guy at the door was so mean they called my friend fat and said she can't come in because of her weight. I really did't appreciate this it really hurt my feelings. I can't believe my friends went through this. Not only that they also called her the N word:(

Yelp
Good drinks, terrible service, rude bouncer. Charged our friends $60 a piece to get in. Then our other friends couldn't come in because there was a "guest list" however upon asking the DJ and Bartenders if there was a list all of them said "I don't know, we just work here."

Yelp
Best friend's birthday party, No actual club worth their shit randomly charges to get in when there's only 20 people in the whole place. 50 dollar per head, I better get head. Dumb as fuck, I don't drink Chamberlin coffee.

Yelp
This is the first bad review I've written regarding any establishment. The idea of a bar charging a $50 drink minimum is both appalling and unethical. It is a bar. Not a nightclub. What if someone just wants to stop by and have a drink or two like they would at any other establishment? Should they be forced to by $50 worth of alcohol and then drive (hopefully Uber) home? I do understand that bars are where people go to get drunk and have fun. But requiring people to purchase at least five beers (or the liquor equivalent to $50) is not indicative of a business that values customer experience. I really want to highlight how absurd this $50 minimum is to me. After walking to the entrance and hearing about the minimum I went to a few other bars before deciding on dinner. I took myself out to a sushi/ramen restaurant and spent less than $50 on sushi AND ramen. Look, I like beer, wine, and the occasional sweet cocktail just as much as the next (wo)man. But this $50 drink minimum upon entrance is WILD.
