Tender Greens

LOVE Tender Greens…but my heart has died since they stopped carrying butter lettuce. Their fried chicken plate is glorious when the chicken is freshly cooked. Steak is almost always cooked properly and is also very tasty. Their olive oil cake is the bomb! Staff here were very polite and attentive. Quick service. Plenty of parking covered. Nice trendy area. Quaint outdoor seating.

I ordered takeout from this restaurant while in town for work and it was delicious. I got the salt and pepper chicken plate with arugula salad and veggies and it was so good!! The chicken was super tender/juicy and perfectly seasoned, the arugula was fresh with a delicious dusting of parmesan, and the veggies were cooked just right!! I also caved and got a chocolate chip/chunk cookie and it was divine!!! (Don’t skip the cookie!!!)

Eat here. I 'd previously enjoyed their Grilled Chicken Cobb Salad at the Mission Valley location and wanted to have it again while at the One Paseo boutique outdoor mall. This is the salad of my dreams. It's a huge amount of food for a very modest price and it's loaded with goodies. The grilled chicken is mostly thigh meat with very crispy skin and so tender inside. Intensely flavorful, thanks to all the seasonings and probably too much salt. But hey. All the other ingredients were top quality and very generous as well. Bacon was also crispy-tender in nice chunks. Tomatoes so tomato-y. Perfect amount of eggy tarragon dressing. Really too much food for a normal lunch but I couldn't stop eating. The only slight miss was the grilled slice of sourdough that came with it. Probably sat a bit too long after grilling but still edible. I'll pass on that next time. But their mint lemonade was a perfect accompaniment to the salad. Very tart and very sweet at the same time. It's also a very pleasant place to be. Super friendly and helpful staff. An array of heaters outside for chilly days but seating indoors as well. Very clean and attractive. Window shopping along pretty One Paseo is a nice bonus. There is ample free parking in two garage structures. What more could you want?

The staff was very friendly! I got the salmon. It was very tender, the perfect temperature and flavor. I also got the mashed potatoes and baby spinach salad. Mashed potatoes were also perfect and didn't have too much of any seasoning or anything- so it could be added to your liking. The salad has goat cheese and almonds. It's absolutely delicious! I make it a point to stop here every time I visit San Diego and I always get something different. I'm glad I tried the salmon this time, but everything has been delicious!

I’ve always been a fan of Tender Greens however, their protein portions have continually shrunk over the last year or so. It’s a quick go-to for lunch if you’re craving something light.

I love Tender Greens, but had an unfortunate experience tonight. Used Uber Eats and was contacted by the deliverer that they were out of the seasonal cobbler I ordered. Was asked if I wanted to pick something else, so I chose the carrot cake. My Thai steak bowl was good, but when it came time to switch to dessert I opened the container to find nasty, moldy carrot cake 🤢 🤮 needless to say, dinner was ruined. Super upset about this experience, as Tender Greens was one of my favorite restaurants.

We absolutely love coming to the one Paseo tender greens. The food is always fresh and healthy at a good price. Get the specials when they have them. I had the Katsu chicken bowl and loved it! Get the specials when you can. They are great! As is Fernando the chef.

Steak with salad and Buttermilk Fried Chicken with mashed potatoes are really tasty. You can enjoy healthy and tasty food at Tender Greens.
