Cozy restaurant with many layers! It seem to have a sitting down bar, standing bar, mid-level restaurant and a fine dining restaurant connected to the same kitchen! The food and service was amazing. We had the steak tartare, Tennstopet's meatballs, and goose. It was all really good and worth the price. If you're seeking to try the swedish meatballs (200% better than IKEA) then I would recommend the tennstopet meatballs!

As per local advice, we had dinner here and everything was perfect. As others have stated, things are done here as it should be : stylish decor, discrete but great service and really great food. The four of us loved it. Special mention for the elk, which we cannot eat where we live and which was really exquisite. The apple cake is probably the best I ever had. We can only recommend.

One of the best restaurant and bars I’ve been to in Stockholm. Was recommended by a dear friend so had to try. The moment I walked in, the vibe was electrifying! Perfect lighting, perfect ambience, perfect decor, perfect music and just the perfect staff. I ordered a white wine and the staff was courteous enough to give some green olives along with it. I then ordered the beef tartare which was outta this world! Highly recommend this place!

This place rocks! It’s one of the oldest restaurants and serves traditional food that is hard to beat in Stockholm. Great vibes and atmosphere and a lovely staff always makes you feel at home and comfortable. Delicious food, great drinks it’s a must visit if you come to Stockholm!!

Tennstopet serves up excellent versions of Scandinavian classics, cooked in a French culinary style, and presents it in the context of very traditional continental dining. It has atmosphere in spades, celebrates great service and the old school way of doing things. All of leads to me being extraordinarily happy with my evening there, and wanting to wholeheartedly recommend the restaurant. They rarely do it like this any more, and we have to celebrate it when we find it.

Lovely local traditional restaurant with interesting interior and good food. We loved the way the staff treated us, their service was exemplary. The food was very good. A bit too noisy but some might like the buzz because it’s always fully booked.

Great spot in Stockholm! Good food and service was amazing. Definitely recommend to anyone visiting that wants traditional Swedish dish options. Location was outside of a busy area, which was nice to see new scenery just outside the tourist areas and is still walkable

Was recommended this by a local bartender as a great place for traditional Swedish cuisine, and confirmed by another shop owner ahead of reservation. It did not disappoint! Every bite was incredible and each fish dish was as fresh as can be. The service was impeccable and friendly. The restaurant decor is traditional/old school cool and very welcoming. The mulled wine offered at the bar before seating was a very nice touch on a cold windy day. A must visit on any stay in Stockholm!
