The 38 Best Orange County Restaurants | Eater LA

"Ross Pangilinan’s Terrace by Mix Mix is known for its open-air patio and the chef’s large raviolo. The hand-rolled pasta is stuffed with a cheese-herb filling and a whole egg yolk. Other popular items include an albacore crostini on a crispy corn tostada and brioche French toast for brunch. Filipino-inspired dishes, including his adobo and lumpia, stand out as nods to Pangilinan’s roots." - Jenn Tanaka

The attendants are making this place truly Great. Welcoming atmosphere and lovely seating, freshly made tasty food, and quick yet reliable service. What else can you desire? Especially appreciate the possibility to get all my food without the dressings.

Came here for brunch, no wait. Very nice outdoor patio. We each had a spritz. We got the salmon loco moco and the tropical french toast. Both were great and would happily get it again. Overall a nice place. Good food. Somewhat limited drinks menu (just wine and beer). Service was a little slow but nothing bad. A nice place for brunch while at south coast.

6 of us came here to celebrate birthday on a Friday night. It's located on the 3rd floor just across the bridge from South Coast Plaza. We were seated immediately at the terrace area. We truly enjoyed the pork cheek Adobo, green salad, steamed mussel sinigang, the bone marrow pizza and lumpia. The epi baguette is so good especially to soak up the mussel broth. The pasta bolognese and the Margherita pizza are average good.

Okay food. Went for company dinner. Tough to find parking. Service was good. Liked the Pork Cheek Adobo but it was definitely very oily. Duck breast was alright - definitely not great. Glad the company paid for it.

This place is in the Crystal Court of South Coast Plaza by the Bridge of Garden. I ordered the Chilean Sea bass over a bed of crispy rice salad with a side of garlic fried rice. The crispy rice salad had a unique delicious taste alongside the obvious texture. The sea bass was perfectly seared and seasoned, it paired well with the garlic fried rice and my rośe. Gotta free dessert for being a VIP member of South Coast Plaza, tried the sticky toffee pudding. It was a refreshing not-so-sweet end to our early dinner! Thank you Chef Ross and to concierge Liza for the recommendation!!

Google
Definitely one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to. My partner and I went for our anniversary last week. The food is somehow simple yeah extremely complex with the amount of flavor and taste each dish has. We got the four course meal with wine pairing, which I highly recommend. we were so fat and happy when we left!

On January 1, 2025 we ventured out to experience a NEW restaurant, so after shopping at South Coast Plaza we popped into TERRACE by mix mix - on the top floor. Although Kenny, our server, was alone, he had us all satisfied and moved things along professionally- for all of us. Our attention quickly focused on Dianne the Sous Chef, and ordered what she was meticulously preparing- SHRIMP LUMPIA! Absolutely delicious!!!!! My husband ordered the mussels which I too couldn’t resist; they were bursting with flavor in a fabulous wine and butter sauce- loaded with tons of mussels. The presentation was awesome with a thin pizza shell over the mussels. Sooo coool My kale salad with salmon was perfectly prepared and a substantial quantity. We truly appreciated the customer service and quality food and presentation. Great job Kenny and Dianne. 5 🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇

Yelp
Our server and was professional to our large party. His attention to detail was impeccable. I ordered the pasta bolognese which was delicious and filling. We had our party of 12 split checks and it was so convenient. Kenny T was patient and a joy to be around. I will return soon.

Yelp
I've been here a couple of times now and have enjoyed our meals each time. The menu changes up so you will find something you like with this freshness and great flavors. Most recently I came for their set lunch and it was a nice treat in the middle of the day. Worth a visit! SYOY!

Yelp
This place is on the top floor of Crystal Court in South Coast Plaza by the Bridge of Garden. So we were the first people in the dining room, we didn't have a reservation but got seated right away. Yelp
Wow what a wonderful experience dining with Terrace by Mix Mix. I inquired to celebrate my birthday with my family here and was immediately seated upon arrival. Our party was brought outside into the patio area which was so lovely and decorated with lots of greenery. This made the ambiance so enchanting and special. My entire party opted to try to 4 course prix fixe menu. With this option, you select one course from the 'snack' menu, second from the 'salad or small plates', third from pizza, pasta, or main course, and of course a dessert. Everyone got to try and sample each others plates but these are my notable items from dinner: Albacore tostada 9/10 This was such a great starter that bursted with flavor and umami. There was a generous cut of albacore to top the tostada and it was so fresh. My only gripe was the piece of albacore was one whole piece and I almost wish it was one piece cut into two so it could make taking small bites a bit easier Shrimp lumpia 10/10 3 pieces of lumpia in the prix fixe? Say less! I could not get enough of the jalapeño lime aioli they paired the lumpia with. It paired so nicely and elevated the juicy shrimp. Would highly recommend this one! Pork cheek adobo 8/10 The garlic fried rice was lovely with the tender pork pieces. Everything fell apart in your mouth as you took each bite. Accompanied by shallots and chimichurri, it felt so balanced. It did fall slightly on the salty side but the portion was perfect to taste. I'm not sure if I could finish an entire plate on my own Oven steamed mussels 'sinigang' 10/10 This was my first time trying sinigang, even if it was just an inspiration. If you like tart, bright, and zinging flavor, this is the dish for you. Mussels were cooked to perfection and I could not get enough of how delicious the broth was! It came with a bread lid which allowed me to keep dipping into the broth and if only I could have another loaf of bread, I would've finished the entire bowl of broth! We ran into an issue where one of my family members was not able to get her mussels tonight due to quality of the seafood but we were accommodated well. Luckily we had plenty of mussels to share around the table so we all got to try one or two. Hangar steak 9/10 I love my steak medium rare and this was cooked to my liking just great. I thoroughly enjoyed the drizzle of chimicurri on top of the steak and actually prefer that over the mushroom peppercorn sauce. You are able to pick one side with any main course dish and I opted for the whipped potato's, also 10/10! This was a great way to finish off savory dishes for the night. Coconut panna cotta 9/10 What a delicate dessert that isn't too filling but hits the sweet tooth mark! Compared to their sticky toffee pudding, this was far less sweet and almost refreshing. Because of how light it is, I found myself spooning bite after bite and cleaned my bowl up! Thank you so much for the wonderful staff that accompanied us tonight and made the night special!

Yelp
We came here on a Sunday with a party of 7 and had a reservation. We were seated right away, and the location is great--on the 3rd floor near the parking structure. The ambiance is nice, especially outdoors with lots of live plants. We ordered the pork chicharon, shrimp lumpia, green salad, pork cheek adobo, bone marrow spaghetti and bone marrow pizza. The flavors were okay, but if you're looking for authentic Filipino taste or generous portions, this might not be the best fit. The pork chicharon tasted store-bought and didn't impress. Service was friendly, and they gave us 2 servings of ice cream for a birthday in our group, which was a nice touch. I'm open to coming back but would definitely try different dishes next time.

Yelp
Terrace by Mix Mix absolutely delivers with its flavors as an elevated casual dining spot. I got the bone marrow pizza and the albacore tostada, and both were delicious and the portions were definitely enough for 2. The bone marrow pizza is indulgent in the best way possible. It has a crispy, thin crust with a generous layer of rich, buttery marrow and caramelized onions. The albacore tostada was light, fresh, and beautifully layered -- sashimi-grade fish with the sriracha aioli and avocado, and crunch from the base. Clean flavors with thoughtful texture -- a perfect contrast to the pizza. The space itself is open-air and relaxing, with a casual yet polished vibe. Service was friendly, well-paced, and knowledgeable about the menu definitely making the experience feel more elevated.

Yelp
Always had a good experience here! My wife and I love the albacore tostada and have to get that every time. The terrace, of course, is amazing and offers great ambiance. The interior is nice and cozy and you get a view of the open kitchen. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Love coming here when taking a stroll through South coast Plaza.

Yelp
I have been here multiple times and every time was a pleasant experience. Reservations were seamless through Yelp. Food wise, this review is mainly for their Mamma Mia menu going on this week. Portion was great and flavors were well-rounded. I thought the crudo could use a little more citrus and the presentation overall could be improved. We kindly asked to switch the dessert course for their coconut panna cotta, and the staff happily accommodated us. Overall, we really enjoyed our meal and it was a great start to our Mamma Mia evening.

Yelp
My friend and I booked a reservation after finding out about their Mamma Mia menu this week. We enjoyed a delicious dinner before the Mamma Mia show with wonderful service. The staff was very friendly and fun! Definitely set the mood right for the show we were super excited for! Been to this restaurant multiple times for special occasions, and every time has been very lovely!

Yelp
First off, this restaurants visual appeal on the outside patio is immaculate! The restaurant is very clean, well maintained and the service was amazing. I came by for a late lunch and ordered the rigatoni carbonara, Cesar salad, bacon wrapped dates and epi baguette. Everything tasted impeccable. The ingredients were fresh and very well balanced in seasonings. Out of all the dishes, for some reason the Epi Baguette stood out the most. I wish the order was larger! That bread, was amazing! Something as simple as bread and butter had me in a trance along with the carbonara. I will definitely be returning very soon!

Yelp
We wanted to treat our friend to a filipino modern restaurant and we found this on yelp. It is located inside the mall on Bear St in the South Coast Plaza area. It is located on the 3rd floor by the bridge which we thought was a great location. We made reservations but looked like we could have just walked in since the place was not crowded. We were greeted nicely and seated right away. Loved the inside/outside ambiance. Loved the assortment of decorative plants and how they used it on the space. We orderd the pork chicharon, shrimp lumpia, green salad, pork cheek adobo rice bowl, bone marrow pasta and the pizza with bone marrow. All were very tasty but the item that surprisingly stood out was salad. It was very refreshing with the fresh greens and the citrusy light dressing. The adobo rice bowl was good but was a tease with the small amount on the bowl. Pizza and the pasta were just ok. They gave us 2 ice cream treats for our friends birthday which was a pleasant surprise. We would like to come back to try other items on the menu.

Yelp
The Terrace was a delightful surprise tucked into South Coast Plaza, right by the pedestrian bridge. The service was outstanding, and the setting is beautiful, whether you dine inside or on the lush, green outdoor terrace, the atmosphere is inviting and relaxing. The food was equally impressive. We started with the baguette and butter, which alone is worth the visit--crusty, warm, and irresistible. The brunch menu did not disappoint either with the French toast which was perfectly crisp on the outside and soft inside, the hot honey pizza delivered the ideal sweet-and-spicy crunch, and the Wagyu Smashburger? Easily one of the best burgers I've had in a long time. Well done, Terrace. I'll definitely be back.

Yelp
I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. Everything was really good! Ambiance was invigorating, the service was top notch, the food was wonderful. We did the pre-fixe menus and everyone was happy with their orders.

Yelp
Costa Mesa, Ca. Ok the food tastes great for most of the items and the service was excellent. I had issues with the prices. We dined here for lunch during a plant show outside and they offered up a prix fixe menu only, that was pricey but sounded good. I had some shrimp egg rolls that ended up being these three tiny deep fried taquito like things with no trace or taste of shrimp. Next up an albacore tostada like creation that was excellent, even if it was only five inches in diameter. Then came the Chilean Sea Bass that was cooked perfectly with a most delicious and delicate flavor. I've become accustomed to the small portion sizes of this dish at restaurants but the one served here takes the record for the most stingy size of fish I've ever had presented to me. It was exactly one inch by an inch and a half. When you are paying a hundred dollars for a lunch this is a bit of a surprise. The accompanying risotto was good but who cares? Pork Cheek Adobo was very good with chicanes and a clear dipping sauce. Beautifully presented and great flavor for the three or four allowed bites. The two scoops of ice cream made from a melon baller were delicious, some of the best ice cream I've had. I left here hungry, I drove home and had a nice lunch. I guess this prix fixe menu was intended to be a sampler of what may be had here for dinner perhaps, but I doubt I'll return.

Yelp
What an inventive and delicious menu for the surf and turf with both in the plate in various iterations.

Yelp
Terrace by MixMix is a great upscale spot in south coast plaza. They've got a nice fusion of Filipino food and classic American dishes. We ended up being too late to get the brunch plate but would love that next time! My only suggestion would be to add a vegetarian option, the food is great but the only veggie option I had was a soup.
google avatar

Yelp
I love to drop by here for lunch. The restaurant is located on the second floor of the mall and there is a choice of indoor or outdoor seating. I tend to sit inside because it can get windy outside sometimes. I really enjoy their lunch menu. You choose a appetizer, main course, and dessert from a preselected menu for a flat fee of $32. I got the salad, pasta and sorbet. Very filling and the food was amazing! Service was great as well. There weren't too many ppl at lunch so our server checked on us throughout and was easy to wave down if we needed anything. The restaurant was overall very clean. Coming for lunch meant less ppl so it was a nice atmosphere. Although I have seen the occasional event usually held in the outdoor space. Overall, I had a good experience here.

Yelp
I was so excited to make a reservation here to celebrate my sister's birthday. We came on a Saturday morning and was seated right away. There were so many delicious options to choose from, our server was so helpful in sharing some of his favorites which were the goat cheese toast, Filipino brunch, hot honey pork pizza, bone marrow pizza, and the pesto pasta. We both ended up ordering the Filipino brunch and were excited as it included garlic rice, longanisa, adobo, an egg, lumpia, and chicharron with spicy vinegar. Presentation was beautiful when we were served. Biting into the adobo, the meat was so soft and tender. The longonisa wasn't overwhelming sweet but more savory. I was grateful for all the different components to try and the flavors blended well together. For dessert, we had the coconut panna cotta which was refreshing and light. Overall, we loved our experience and would love to come back in the future to try the other dishes our server shared! Parking: Thankfully, we were able to find a spot in the small lot on the corner of Bear St. and South Coast Dr. near Anthropologie and Crate & Barrel. We entered through the main mall entrance and took escalators to the 3rd floor.

Yelp
IYKYK and if you don't then Terrace by Mix Mix is worth seeking out. Located at South Coast Plaza on the 3rd floor above Vox Kitchen and across from Hamamori you'll find Terrace. Seasonal a la carte and prix fix menus with a curated wine list. Running a Friday Fish Tasting menu now which is wonderful. We eat out a lot and try new places but always return to Terrace. Oh yea easy covered parking and an elevator that takes you right to restaurant. So convenientWe will be back soon! In case you're wondering I don't get paid for this or get comped meals. I just want to support small locally Chef owned restaurants. You should too

Yelp
Yesterday, I attended a party at Terrace by Mix Mix. It was an outstanding culinary experience 5 or 6 tasty appetizers. Each was also aesthetically pleasing too garnished with edible flowers! We were served with four course meal. Absolutely delightful! The waiters made sure our beverages & drinks were promptly served too. Ambiance was very nice. I only wish they had a location closer to home in West Los Angeles, CA. If they open a restaurant in my area, this would definitely become a favorite dining spot for me and other foodies in West Los Angeles!

Yelp
I actually thought this place was amazing! We have always passed by this place and never really thought to eat there. I actually didn't realize it was filipino food. The restaurant always looked nice and the waiter was really great. We were there for the brunch and the food was just fantastic. We got the ube french toast and the filipino brunch and everything on both plates was great. The filipino brunch really had all of our favorites, even starting with the chicharon and vinegar. Super good. The garlic fried rice, the longanisa, need I say more? I want to go again... now.

Yelp
A friend recommended this restaurant and glad to be able to try it finally! The interiors look nice - a mix of black and white with some leafy plants. We had the following dishes: * Pork Cheek Adobo - This consisted of juicy adobo meat, crispy shallots, chimichurri sauce on top of garlic fried rice. This was the fanciest adobo I ever had so far! It was yummy and very flavorful too. The shallots and chimichurri complemented the dish. * Hanger Steak - This was served with fried shallots, rectangular potato cakes and peppercorn sauce. This was also delicious! The potato cake was pretty interesting. * White Chocolate Tiramisu - What a delightful dessert! It was soft but not soggy. It has always been favorite dessert of mine. It took a little bit of time to get our bill, but nevertheless customer service was good.

Yelp
Food: 5/5 Service: 4.5/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Chose this restaurant for a birthday dinner on a Friday night and really enjoyed the experience. Most of our party chose the prix fixed menu ($50 for a starter, small plate, entree, and dessert). I felt it was well worth the price and I especially enjoyed the adobo and hangar steak. One note is that the food came out at different times, so not everyone will be able to eat at the same pace. Overall, I would definitely love to come again and try more of the menu.

Yelp
First, I tasted the food and raved about it; then later learned that this is a Michelin starred restaurant! And truly, each item you taste is superbly seasoned and cooked, not to mention the great presentation. We had Filipino dishes that were tweaked and enhanced splendidly --the sinigang, tortang talong, lumpia, pork adobo we tasted were 5-star dishes every Filipino here in the U.S. should try. We loved the Albacore Tostodas and the Salmon Poke Lettuce Tacos as well and they were delicious. The ambiance is very relaxing and sophisticated -- the interiors, especially the plants (which I am very partial to) has a calming and easing effect, allowing us to enjoy the experience all the more. Service is as excellent. This place is truly deserving of its Michelin recognition. Price is a bit on the higher end for small plates but totally worth it.

Yelp
i went here for my bday as it had been on my bucket list for over a year. service was really slow as we had been waiting over an hour for our food. at the beginning the server said i would get a panna cotta for my bday but i received ice cream, was a little disappointed as i had been looking forward to panna cotta. ordered: - mushroom & sausage pizza: 5/10, not impressive, way too hard - green salad: 8/10, loved the yuzu dressing - shrimp lumpia: 9/10, loved the flavor, texture (crunchiness!), and sauce - pork cheek adobo: 10/10, SO GOOD left me wanting more - butternut squash agnolotti: 7/10, interesting dish to try but wouldn't want more

Yelp
I've been here two times: once was immediately after I got engaged in 2021 (so a very fond memory!) and recently I came for a friend's birthday lunch after taking a Sur La Table baking class. I love their patio, adorned with beautiful greenery. Their Filipino breakfast was delicious and I enjoyed their tortang talong (a Filipino eggplant omelet). The Filipino breakfast is definitely shareable and includes shrimp lumpia, garlic fried rice, egg with chimichurri, pork cheek adobo, chicharrones, and a slightly spicy vinegar that you have to douse your entire meal with. It was so good!! The only issue I had was with the service. The servers were really nice, but perhaps they didn't communicate with each other because the timing of our dishes was completely off. Two of us put in our orders for the Filipino breakfast early on, before one of our friends could even decide on her meal. The server came back later to take my indecisive friend's order (pork cheek adobo), and she still got her meal before we did... AND she finished it before we even got our Filipino breakfast. So my friend was just sitting there waiting for us to finish our food. Overall, despite the weird timing of the service, I do love the quality of the food and the ambiance, so I do recommend trying this restaurant out!

Yelp
Food was delicious Service was great Ambiance was nice. We sat out in the patio and with the cold weather, couple heaters were put out which was perfect. My group of 8 enjoyed everything! Thank you!

Yelp
Excellent service and the flavor and portions are spot on. The location is well suited for shoppers as it is inside South Coast Mall. The vibe is simple and ideal for small family gatherings and date nights. Highly recommend!

Yelp
I haven't been here in a while and wow it didn't disappoint! Staff were super friendly. I think the chef came by to check on everyone, too. We tried the shrimp lumpia, some adobo dish and a new truffle pasta. We sat on the patio and it was such a beautiful view during the holidays and right by the lighted walkway. Top notch food and service and now is a great time to go!!

Yelp
Service, ambiance, food and a skilled chef made the evening. We tried the vegetable side, epi baguette, pizza with bone marrow, pork cheek adobo, pandan dessert, garlic soy noodles and all were interesting and delicious, a tad salty but didnt take away from an otherwise excellent presentation and interpretation of filipino/italian/american dishes. Would definitely return.

Yelp
So disappointed with our experience here. Long wait times, uneven pacing of food, staff not knowing when something is sold out, and staff clearly not communicating with each other made for a really weird Father's Day lunch. Ordered the mussels on a recommendation from our server. Fifteen minutes after we ordered, we were told three separate times that one of the dishes was totally sold out. We later ordered dessert with the hostess and our server came by a few minutes later to ask if we wanted dessert. Then there was the issue of terrible pacing. Our party of three got our dishes one at a time, so we kind of ate individually. Even though we shared plates it was still awkward. Filipino Brunch. Pretty solid. The pork adobo was very tender and the chimichurri was flavorful. Garlic rice. Is the garlic in the room with us? Spicy Roasted Brussels were okay. I thought it would be more flavorful because gochujang, but they ultimately underwhelming for me. Scottish Salmon with Vegetable Risotto. Surprisingly good. I would get the risotto without the salmon if I ever had to come back here. Coconut Panna Cotta. Probably the best dish we had. This was a surprisingly delightful combination of textures. The jellies and beans were not too sweet and paired well with the delicious ube ice cream and bright mango sorbet.

Yelp
What a wonderful experience! We went to celebrate my birthday, they were so accommodating. The staff were very kind and helpful. The restaurant was so clean and beautifully laid out. I really enjoyed the plants that gave the space an indoor outdoor feel. The food was so delicious, a yummy balance of sweet, sour, salt, and fat. Wonderful texture then menu was diverse and fun. I really enjoyed this dinner. Not pictured was the salmon poke tacos, the tostadas, and a Cesar salad. We ate well, and enjoyed every bite

Yelp
Hidden gem in south coast plaza mall! Didn't expect this delicious Filipino food! Came in a Sunday for brunch. We had the Filipino brunch which came with fried rice, fried egg, pork cheek adobo, sweet longanisa and chicharon, as well as the beef wagyu loco loco with fried egg. For dessert, we had the Ube French toast with one ice cream and maple syrup. Everything was amazing and last but not least, our server Kenny T, was so attentive and helpful! great service! We will definitely be back :)

Yelp
I really wanted to love this place, especially after reading through all the amazing reviews and seeing that they are a Michelin recognized restaurant. But to say the least, I feel like most of the negative reviews were more accurate than the positive reviews were... Which really left me confused, frustrated, sad. Food: 7/10 Service: 6/10 Bathroom: 6/10 Ambiance: 10/10 Came as a party of six and made reservations prior, which I do like that they allow reservations. I was sad to see that they don't carry liquor but only beer and wine, which was OK for mimosas but not OK when all I craved was an espresso martini lol I was also super excited for their bacon wrapped dates and their bone marrow pizza... By the way, they let you add extra bone marrows for $10 each. But to be honest, the dates were way too sweet, the bacon was way too overcooked and the sauce they use was just overly sweet. When the bone marrow Pizza came out, it looked amazing but again was covered in sauce that was just overly sweet on an item that should be salty. I ended up cleaning the sauce off with a napkin before digging into the rest of my bone marrow. All of the reviews that talk about the inconsistency in the timing of when food comes out are accurate. One of our meals came out approximately 15 to 20 minutes before everyone else. It was just weird. They look to be staffed correctly because although they're busy, there are a lot of people around, but even then the service wasn't stellar, with the exception of one gentleman which I wish I would've got his name. To be honest, with all the amazing restaurant options in Orange County I won't be back here again.

Yelp
Me and my bf recently dined at Terrace by Mix Mix, it was an incredible experience! The ambience is so relaxed and chill, with the lush plants giving it a charming garden vibe that makes you feel at ease the moment you walk in. The service was very good, servers are approachable and friendly. We had the Valentine's Special sashimi with beets (forgot the name of the dish lol), and it was absolutely divine! Of course we have to get their filipino brunch special and as I expected it's simply delightful. As a special note, the chef is a good friend of mine, and I'm always impressed by her creativity and skills. I 100% recommend this place and will be back to try the other dishes on their menu.

Yelp
just home from their special Friday night prix fixe dinner. OMG. My son-in-law compared ti to the Michelin starred restaurant we love, but at a very affordable price. The food and service are amazingly good, even if the atmosphere does not meet a Michelin star, the food does! The staff are also amazing. Go.

Yelp
As usual the Albacore Tostadas were great. Seared tuna, picked onions, siracha aioli, and avocado aioli. An order comes with two pieces but we could easily eat two orders. This time the Pork Cheek Adobo fried rice was average. The texture seemed like stew meat. The Shrimp Lumpia was great and very light. Basically like narrow little egg rolls. The Penne Bolognese Pasta was phenomenal. So tasty with a slight sweetness. We shared the dish, but we wish we each ordered one. We couldn't stop eating it! We were happy to see that they had a New Zealand Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc wine and also an excellent wheat beer, Paulaner Hefeweizen.

Yelp
I wish I could give this restaurant 6 stars! We came here and opted for their express lunch, and added on some small plates and a 2 more entrees. This option allowed us to try multiple menu items via family style, making for a better quality experience. All menu items were cooked well with fragrant flavors, especially the pork adobo and garlic fried rice. My personal favorites were their bone marrow pizza and shrimp lumpia, both of which were well made and delicious. I especially enjoyed the pizzas red wine sauce and creme freche, which balanced the flavors of the bone marrow. Service was unmatched, as our waiter was well spoken and kind, which made the experience all that more enjoyable.

Yelp
On January 1, 2025 we ventured out to experience a NEW restaurant, so after shopping at South Coast Plaza we popped into TERRACE by mix mix - on the top floor. Although Kenny, our server, was alone, he had us all satisfied and moved things along professionally- for all of us. Our attention quickly focused on Dianne the Sous Chef, and ordered what she was meticulously preparing- SHRIMP LUMPIA! Absolutely delicious!!!!! My husband ordered the mussels which I too couldn't resist; they were bursting with flavor in a fabulous wine and butter sauce- loaded with tons of mussels. The presentation was awesome with a thin pizza shell over the mussels. Sooo coool My kale salad with salmon was perfectly prepared and a substantial quantity. We truly appreciated the customer service and quality food and presentation. Great job Kenny and Dianne. 5

Yelp
AMAZING!!! We were seated at the chefs table which gave us a direct view of the kitchen. That was nice touch that you don't get at most restaurants. The chefs were all ever nice. Marissa was the chef we spoke with the most. She was so nice and helpful in explaining the different dishes. We started with lumpia and fresh baguette for appetizers. They were so so good and. Great start to our meal. We then had the chicken and potatoes, beef bolognese, kids cheese pizza and the adobo. EVERYTHING was phenomenal!! We were so full but were told we had to try the dessert. We got the chocolate toffee cake one. OOMMGG this thing blew out socks off. There is nothing I would change about our food. Definitely going back to try some other items they offer! Thank you to Marissa and all the staff Sunday for a great experience !

Yelp
I don't know why we hadn't eaten here, it's been on the to-do list for a while. Finally got around to it and wow we were blown away. The food is fantastic. You can order a la carte off the menu or you can choose 4 courses as a prix-fix menu and that is a stunning deal at $50. Everything we had was great - albacore tostadas, caesar gem salad, a fantastic chicken milanese (had half of it and the rest the next night for dinner) and the cheeseburger is terrific. Wine list is not huge but fairly priced and the service was professional but friendly. Highly recommended!

Yelp
I went there on a dinner date and we had a great time. We have been meaning to check out this restaurant ever since Brad A. Johnson named it one of the best restaurants in Orange County and I would say that it met expectations. Usually we are skeptical of fusion cuisine but this place pulled it off. One thing that wasn't quite right is that the menu on the website was not the same as the one given to us at the restaurant. I would consider the website as an example, and if you have strict dietary restrictions (as I do), maybe ask for the menu ahead of time. That said, the chef was able to put something together that worked for me and was quite delicious. Here's what we ordered: * The Salmon Poke Lettuce Tacos -- these were tasty, if a little bit salty. It's a basic but solid dish. They were served with a little more seaweed than normal, which I enjoyed. * The Pork Cheek Adobo -- this dish is fairly heavy (there was a lot of oil in the rice) but the pork was delicious, easily the best I've had since eating at Filipino restaurants in Queens, NY. * The duck breast -- this was perfect, fatty and crispy without being oily or greasy. I got this with some modifications which were thoughtfully prepared and great to eat. The restaurant doesn't have a liquor service but has a pretty decent beer and wine selection. We were happy with their wine suggestions. The service was friendly and attentive. Our total bill for two, including drinks, tip, and tax, came to $183.

Yelp
My friend organized to have brunch here on MLK Day for 4 people. I was set on ordering their Filipino Brunch from their Express Lunch 3 course menu with pork cheek adobo, shrimp lumpia, sweet longanisa and garlic rice but they sold out of the shrimp lumpia over the weekend and that's what I wanted to try. So instead I ended up trying one of the daily specials - Shrimp Fried Rice with Chimichurri served with Garlic Rice which was fantastic. Anything with chimichurri is always a must order for me. For my starter, I had an Albacore Tostada which I had tried before and it tasted just as I remembered from my first time here. Dessert was a scoop each of vanilla and ube ice cream,a perfect ending to a wonderful lunch date with good friends. Thanks to Valerie for a wonderful service.
