"Ross Pangilinan’s Terrace by Mix Mix is known for its open-air patio and the chef’s large raviolo. The hand-rolled pasta is stuffed with a cheese-herb filling and a whole egg yolk. Other popular items include an albacore crostini on a crispy corn tostada and brioche french toast for brunch. Filipino-inspired dishes, including his adobo and lumpia, stand out as nods to Pangilinan’s roots." - Jenn Tanaka

Okay food. Went for company dinner. Tough to find parking. Service was good. Liked the Pork Cheek Adobo but it was definitely very oily. Duck breast was alright - definitely not great. Glad the company paid for it.

On January 1, 2025 we ventured out to experience a NEW restaurant, so after shopping at South Coast Plaza we popped into TERRACE by mix mix - on the top floor. Although Kenny, our server, was alone, he had us all satisfied and moved things along professionally- for all of us. Our attention quickly focused on Dianne the Sous Chef, and ordered what she was meticulously preparing- SHRIMP LUMPIA! Absolutely delicious!!!!! My husband ordered the mussels which I too couldn’t resist; they were bursting with flavor in a fabulous wine and butter sauce- loaded with tons of mussels. The presentation was awesome with a thin pizza shell over the mussels. Sooo coool My kale salad with salmon was perfectly prepared and a substantial quantity. We truly appreciated the customer service and quality food and presentation. Great job Kenny and Dianne. 5 🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇

Google
Definitely one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to. My partner and I went for our anniversary last week. The food is somehow simple yeah extremely complex with the amount of flavor and taste each dish has. We got the four course meal with wine pairing, which I highly recommend. we were so fat and happy when we left!

Located on the 3rd level of the Crate & Barrel wing in South Coast Plaza, Terrace by Mix Mix is an experience all on its own. The atmosphere caters to both classy and casual, the food exudes refinement and familiarity with strong Filipino, Italian and French influences. Service can be a bit touch and go, depending on how busy the restaurant is. Reservations are suggested as the indoor capacity is small. The terrace outside is modern and welcoming but can be rented out for events, so keep that in mind if you have your heart set on dining outdoors. The portions are nice, and the prefix menu is surprisingly generous. The bone marrow pizza is not to be missed.

Google
I will absolutely come back. We had such a great afternoon dining experience. Lorelei and the team provided fabulous service. The water was delicious. Our meals were top notch. Shrimp lumpia and Hangar Streak. The potato technique was so cool and the sauces were delectable.

Google
The food was very good. Especially the pork adobo and hangar steak. Our waiter Kenny T was really nice and took time to go through the menu and give recommendations. Will definitely be coming back.

Google
Terrace did provide a great and tasty experience for my family! We reserved a table for 6 People. We were seated outside and near the bridge to the other section of the mall we really did enjoy the view and air I ordered the pepperoni pizza and it took maybe 17 minutes or so the pizza Was absolutely amazing it was very cheesy and full of pepperoni and fresh and the crust added the crunch to my family enjoyed but it was very expensive.

Yelp
Yesterday, I attended a party at Terrace by Mix Mix. It was an outstanding culinary experience 5 or 6 tasty appetizers. Each was also aesthetically pleasing too garnished with edible flowers! We were served with four course meal. Absolutely delightful! The waiters made sure our beverages & drinks were promptly served too. Ambiance was very nice. I only wish they had a location closer to home in West Los Angeles, CA. If they open a restaurant in my area, this would definitely become a favorite dining spot for me and other foodies in West Los Angeles!

Yelp
I was so excited to make a reservation here to celebrate my sister's birthday. We came on a Saturday morning and was seated right away. There were so many delicious options to choose from, our server was so helpful in sharing some of his favorites which were the goat cheese toast, Filipino brunch, hot honey pork pizza, bone marrow pizza, and the pesto pasta. We both ended up ordering the Filipino brunch and were excited as it included garlic rice, longanisa, adobo, an egg, lumpia, and chicharron with spicy vinegar. Presentation was beautiful when we were served. Biting into the adobo, the meat was so soft and tender. The longonisa wasn't overwhelming sweet but more savory. I was grateful for all the different components to try and the flavors blended well together. For dessert, we had the coconut panna cotta which was refreshing and light. Overall, we loved our experience and would love to come back in the future to try the other dishes our server shared! Parking: Thankfully, we were able to find a spot in the small lot on the corner of Bear St. and South Coast Dr. near Anthropologie and Crate & Barrel. We entered through the main mall entrance and took escalators to the 3rd floor.

Yelp
I have been here multiple times and every time was a pleasant experience. Reservations were seamless through Yelp. Food wise, this review is mainly for their Mamma Mia menu going on this week. Portion was great and flavors were well-rounded. I thought the crudo could use a little more citrus and the presentation overall could be improved. We kindly asked to switch the dessert course for their coconut panna cotta, and the staff happily accommodated us. Overall, we really enjoyed our meal and it was a great start to our Mamma Mia evening.

Tran D.

Yelp
My friend and I booked a reservation after finding out about their Mamma Mia menu this week. We enjoyed a delicious dinner before the Mamma Mia show with wonderful service. The staff was very friendly and fun! Definitely set the mood right for the show we were super excited for! Been to this restaurant multiple times for special occasions, and every time has been very lovely!

Yelp
Terrace by MixMix is a great upscale spot in south coast plaza. They've got a nice fusion of Filipino food and classic American dishes. We ended up being too late to get the brunch plate but would love that next time! My only suggestion would be to add a vegetarian option, the food is great but the only veggie option I had was a soup.

Yelp
Costa Mesa, Ca. Ok the food tastes great for most of the items and the service was excellent. I had issues with the prices. We dined here for lunch during a plant show outside and they offered up a prix fixe menu only, that was pricey but sounded good. I had some shrimp egg rolls that ended up being these three tiny deep fried taquito like things with no trace or taste of shrimp. Next up an albacore tostada like creation that was excellent, even if it was only five inches in diameter. Then came the Chilean Sea Bass that was cooked perfectly with a most delicious and delicate flavor. I've become accustomed to the small portion sizes of this dish at restaurants but the one served here takes the record for the most stingy size of fish I've ever had presented to me. It was exactly one inch by an inch and a half. When you are paying a hundred dollars for a lunch this is a bit of a surprise. The accompanying risotto was good but who cares? Pork Cheek Adobo was very good with chicanes and a clear dipping sauce. Beautifully presented and great flavor for the three or four allowed bites. The two scoops of ice cream made from a melon baller were delicious, some of the best ice cream I've had. I left here hungry, I drove home and had a nice lunch. I guess this prix fixe menu was intended to be a sampler of what may be had here for dinner perhaps, but I doubt I'll return.

Cosmo G.

Yelp
I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. Everything was really good! Ambiance was invigorating, the service was top notch, the food was wonderful. We did the pre-fixe menus and everyone was happy with their orders.

Virginia J.

Yelp
I love to drop by here for lunch. The restaurant is located on the second floor of the mall and there is a choice of indoor or outdoor seating. I tend to sit inside because it can get windy outside sometimes. I really enjoy their lunch menu. You choose a appetizer, main course, and dessert from a preselected menu for a flat fee of $32. I got the salad, pasta and sorbet. Very filling and the food was amazing! Service was great as well. There weren't too many ppl at lunch so our server checked on us throughout and was easy to wave down if we needed anything. The restaurant was overall very clean. Coming for lunch meant less ppl so it was a nice atmosphere. Although I have seen the occasional event usually held in the outdoor space. Overall, I had a good experience here.

Yelp
Exceptional food and ambiance..our waiter was great at explaining each popular dish Add egg to pork adobo and it:'s a big plus Definitely coming back

Yelp
Excellent service and the flavor and portions are spot on. The location is well suited for shoppers as it is inside South Coast Mall. The vibe is simple and ideal for small family gatherings and date nights. Highly recommend!

Yelp
I actually thought this place was amazing! We have always passed by this place and never really thought to eat there. I actually didn't realize it was filipino food. The restaurant always looked nice and the waiter was really great. We were there for the brunch and the food was just fantastic. We got the ube french toast and the filipino brunch and everything on both plates was great. The filipino brunch really had all of our favorites, even starting with the chicharon and vinegar. Super good. The garlic fried rice, the longanisa, need I say more? I want to go again... now.

Patricia L.

Yelp
A friend recommended this restaurant and glad to be able to try it finally! The interiors look nice - a mix of black and white with some leafy plants. We had the following dishes: * Pork Cheek Adobo - This consisted of juicy adobo meat, crispy shallots, chimichurri sauce on top of garlic fried rice. This was the fanciest adobo I ever had so far! It was yummy and very flavorful too. The shallots and chimichurri complemented the dish. * Hanger Steak - This was served with fried shallots, rectangular potato cakes and peppercorn sauce. This was also delicious! The potato cake was pretty interesting. * White Chocolate Tiramisu - What a delightful dessert! It was soft but not soggy. It has always been favorite dessert of mine. It took a little bit of time to get our bill, but nevertheless customer service was good.

Yelp
Food was delicious Service was great Ambiance was nice. We sat out in the patio and with the cold weather, couple heaters were put out which was perfect. My group of 8 enjoyed everything! Thank you!

Yelp
First, I tasted the food and raved about it; then later learned that this is a Michelin starred restaurant! And truly, each item you taste is superbly seasoned and cooked, not to mention the great presentation. We had Filipino dishes that were tweaked and enhanced splendidly --the sinigang, tortang talong, lumpia, pork adobo we tasted were 5-star dishes every Filipino here in the U.S. should try. We loved the Albacore Tostodas and the Salmon Poke Lettuce Tacos as well and they were delicious. The ambiance is very relaxing and sophisticated -- the interiors, especially the plants (which I am very partial to) has a calming and easing effect, allowing us to enjoy the experience all the more. Service is as excellent. This place is truly deserving of its Michelin recognition. Price is a bit on the higher end for small plates but totally worth it.

Yelp
i went here for my bday as it had been on my bucket list for over a year. service was really slow as we had been waiting over an hour for our food. at the beginning the server said i would get a panna cotta for my bday but i received ice cream, was a little disappointed as i had been looking forward to panna cotta. ordered: - mushroom & sausage pizza: 5/10, not impressive, way too hard - green salad: 8/10, loved the yuzu dressing - shrimp lumpia: 9/10, loved the flavor, texture (crunchiness!), and sauce - pork cheek adobo: 10/10, SO GOOD left me wanting more - butternut squash agnolotti: 7/10, interesting dish to try but wouldn't want more

Yelp
Hidden gem in south coast plaza mall! Didn't expect this delicious Filipino food! Came in a Sunday for brunch. We had the Filipino brunch which came with fried rice, fried egg, pork cheek adobo, sweet longanisa and chicharon, as well as the beef wagyu loco loco with fried egg. For dessert, we had the Ube French toast with one ice cream and maple syrup. Everything was amazing and last but not least, our server Kenny T, was so attentive and helpful! great service! We will definitely be back :)

Yelp
I've been here two times: once was immediately after I got engaged in 2021 (so a very fond memory!) and recently I came for a friend's birthday lunch after taking a Sur La Table baking class. I love their patio, adorned with beautiful greenery. Their Filipino breakfast was delicious and I enjoyed their tortang talong (a Filipino eggplant omelet). The Filipino breakfast is definitely shareable and includes shrimp lumpia, garlic fried rice, egg with chimichurri, pork cheek adobo, chicharrones, and a slightly spicy vinegar that you have to douse your entire meal with. It was so good!! The only issue I had was with the service. The servers were really nice, but perhaps they didn't communicate with each other because the timing of our dishes was completely off. Two of us put in our orders for the Filipino breakfast early on, before one of our friends could even decide on her meal. The server came back later to take my indecisive friend's order (pork cheek adobo), and she still got her meal before we did... AND she finished it before we even got our Filipino breakfast. So my friend was just sitting there waiting for us to finish our food. Overall, despite the weird timing of the service, I do love the quality of the food and the ambiance, so I do recommend trying this restaurant out!

Jade M.

Yelp
What a wonderful experience! We went to celebrate my birthday, they were so accommodating. The staff were very kind and helpful. The restaurant was so clean and beautifully laid out. I really enjoyed the plants that gave the space an indoor outdoor feel. The food was so delicious, a yummy balance of sweet, sour, salt, and fat. Wonderful texture then menu was diverse and fun. I really enjoyed this dinner. Not pictured was the salmon poke tacos, the tostadas, and a Cesar salad. We ate well, and enjoyed every bite

Ariel D.

Yelp
So disappointed with our experience here. Long wait times, uneven pacing of food, staff not knowing when something is sold out, and staff clearly not communicating with each other made for a really weird Father's Day lunch. Ordered the mussels on a recommendation from our server. Fifteen minutes after we ordered, we were told three separate times that one of the dishes was totally sold out. We later ordered dessert with the hostess and our server came by a few minutes later to ask if we wanted dessert. Then there was the issue of terrible pacing. Our party of three got our dishes one at a time, so we kind of ate individually. Even though we shared plates it was still awkward. Filipino Brunch. Pretty solid. The pork adobo was very tender and the chimichurri was flavorful. Garlic rice. Is the garlic in the room with us? Spicy Roasted Brussels were okay. I thought it would be more flavorful because gochujang, but they ultimately underwhelming for me. Scottish Salmon with Vegetable Risotto. Surprisingly good. I would get the risotto without the salmon if I ever had to come back here. Coconut Panna Cotta. Probably the best dish we had. This was a surprisingly delightful combination of textures. The jellies and beans were not too sweet and paired well with the delicious ube ice cream and bright mango sorbet.

Yelp
Me and my bf recently dined at Terrace by Mix Mix, it was an incredible experience! The ambience is so relaxed and chill, with the lush plants giving it a charming garden vibe that makes you feel at ease the moment you walk in. The service was very good, servers are approachable and friendly. We had the Valentine's Special sashimi with beets (forgot the name of the dish lol), and it was absolutely divine! Of course we have to get their filipino brunch special and as I expected it's simply delightful. As a special note, the chef is a good friend of mine, and I'm always impressed by her creativity and skills. I 100% recommend this place and will be back to try the other dishes on their menu.

Rem V.

Yelp
The food is unique, savory, satiated my cravings Awesome space for any occasion. Went there for mother's day and their pretty fixe menu was incredible

Yelp
We came here seeing the reviews from yelp and we were not disappointed. The place and ambiance is welcoming, comfortable , and modern. We had already had a big breakfast earlier in the day and weren't hungry so we only tried a few items. We really wanted to come check the place out so that we could put it as an option for the future We tried the albacore tostadas and they were amazing!!!! We then tried their coconut panna cotta, absolutely delicious, a must try!!! The toasted coconut, fresh cut mangos, and the ube ice cream WOW!!! Definitely coming back in the very near future. Our waiter, Kenny, provided excellent service!!

Kay A.

Yelp
I haven't been here in a while and wow it didn't disappoint! Staff were super friendly. I think the chef came by to check on everyone, too. We tried the shrimp lumpia, some adobo dish and a new truffle pasta. We sat on the patio and it was such a beautiful view during the holidays and right by the lighted walkway. Top notch food and service and now is a great time to go!!

Noemi B.

Yelp
I really wanted to love this place, especially after reading through all the amazing reviews and seeing that they are a Michelin recognized restaurant. But to say the least, I feel like most of the negative reviews were more accurate than the positive reviews were... Which really left me confused, frustrated, sad. Food: 7/10 Service: 6/10 Bathroom: 6/10 Ambiance: 10/10 Came as a party of six and made reservations prior, which I do like that they allow reservations. I was sad to see that they don't carry liquor but only beer and wine, which was OK for mimosas but not OK when all I craved was an espresso martini lol I was also super excited for their bacon wrapped dates and their bone marrow pizza... By the way, they let you add extra bone marrows for $10 each. But to be honest, the dates were way too sweet, the bacon was way too overcooked and the sauce they use was just overly sweet. When the bone marrow Pizza came out, it looked amazing but again was covered in sauce that was just overly sweet on an item that should be salty. I ended up cleaning the sauce off with a napkin before digging into the rest of my bone marrow. All of the reviews that talk about the inconsistency in the timing of when food comes out are accurate. One of our meals came out approximately 15 to 20 minutes before everyone else. It was just weird. They look to be staffed correctly because although they're busy, there are a lot of people around, but even then the service wasn't stellar, with the exception of one gentleman which I wish I would've got his name. To be honest, with all the amazing restaurant options in Orange County I won't be back here again.

Yelp
Went for dinner came back the next day for brunch! Terrace has long been a go to restaurant of ours for its fantastic food that rivals places with twice the cost. It is rare to find a place today that values exceptional cuisine at a fair price. Went for the seasonal Friday Seafood Tasting (second time) then back the next day for weekend brunch. Chef/Owner Ross Pangilinan was in the kitchen orchestrating like a maestro. His classical trained background shines as he incorporates nuanced flavors and menu items from his Filipino heritage. For dinner we started with the Salmon Poke Lettuce Wraps with nori. Fun twist by assembling yourself to keep the nori crisp. So rich and flavorful with a hint of heat from the aioli and nuttiness from the sesame oil. Then what I thought was the outstanding dish of the tasting, classic steamed mussels in a fennel cream white wine broth. The mussels were perfectly steamed and the fennel provided a wonderful herbaceous sweetness to the broth. Perfect to be soaked up by the accompanying thick sliced grilled bread. I could have had a giant bowl as an entrée if available. Third was an amazing trip to Italy with the Shrimp Rigatoni with Calabrian chili. Such a simple dish but so rich and delicious. Here Chef incorporated his secret (not so secret) ingredient that added umami and depth, like Italians with anchovy he adds a tiny bit of Filipino shrimp paste. Nice way to add his interpretive culinary heritage to a dish without taking away or overwhelming it. The main course was a Chilean Seabass served on a base of French whipped potatoes, diced asparagus with a Lemon coriander vinaigrette. The surprise was there was a small amount of Saba vinegar hidden in a small pool in the potatoes so when you cut through you had a small bite of acid to cut the richness of the fish and potatoes. So clever and no need to squeeze a lemon. Dessert was a cold and refreshing light Coconut Panna Cotta with a scoop of mango sorbet. An excellent way to finish an incredible meal with attentive service for only $60 per person! For brunch I had the French Toast with Duck leg confit. A delicious elevated take on waffles and fried chicken. Would highly recommend it! As an amuse, try the bacon wrapped dates with spicy hummus. The 2 others in my party (no photos) had the Filipino Brunch (check the menu as too many items to list) also highly recommended. The wine list is well curated and priced right for pairings by the glass or by the bottle. Don't be afraid to experiment as many are not your well known labels but perfect for a meal. We will definitely return soon. Bon appetit.

Simon K.

Yelp
As usual the Albacore Tostadas were great. Seared tuna, picked onions, siracha aioli, and avocado aioli. An order comes with two pieces but we could easily eat two orders. This time the Pork Cheek Adobo fried rice was average. The texture seemed like stew meat. The Shrimp Lumpia was great and very light. Basically like narrow little egg rolls. The Penne Bolognese Pasta was phenomenal. So tasty with a slight sweetness. We shared the dish, but we wish we each ordered one. We couldn't stop eating it! We were happy to see that they had a New Zealand Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc wine and also an excellent wheat beer, Paulaner Hefeweizen.

Alysa C.

Yelp
I wish I could give this restaurant 6 stars! We came here and opted for their express lunch, and added on some small plates and a 2 more entrees. This option allowed us to try multiple menu items via family style, making for a better quality experience. All menu items were cooked well with fragrant flavors, especially the pork adobo and garlic fried rice. My personal favorites were their bone marrow pizza and shrimp lumpia, both of which were well made and delicious. I especially enjoyed the pizzas red wine sauce and creme freche, which balanced the flavors of the bone marrow. Service was unmatched, as our waiter was well spoken and kind, which made the experience all that more enjoyable.

Yelp
Needed a quick bite to eat while shopping at SCP, so we stopped by this cute restaurant. Here's what we ordered... Margherita pizza: Pretty good Green salad: Very fresh and tasty Will go back again!

Yelp
AMAZING!!! We were seated at the chefs table which gave us a direct view of the kitchen. That was nice touch that you don't get at most restaurants. The chefs were all ever nice. Marissa was the chef we spoke with the most. She was so nice and helpful in explaining the different dishes. We started with lumpia and fresh baguette for appetizers. They were so so good and. Great start to our meal. We then had the chicken and potatoes, beef bolognese, kids cheese pizza and the adobo. EVERYTHING was phenomenal!! We were so full but were told we had to try the dessert. We got the chocolate toffee cake one. OOMMGG this thing blew out socks off. There is nothing I would change about our food. Definitely going back to try some other items they offer! Thank you to Marissa and all the staff Sunday for a great experience !

Hannah K.

Yelp
I came to Terrace for a quick lunch with a colleague and it did not disappoint. As soon as I arrived, I was greeted by a cheerful host and was immediately taken to my seat. The restaurant itself is pretty and has a great calming vibe. We sat at the outside patio, which was a nice choice since we got to enjoy the beautiful spring weather. Although we didn't get many items, I enjoyed everything I ate. I also didn't take the time to take pictures, oh well :( We ordered the goat cheese toast, arugula kale salad, shrimp lumpia, and margarita pizza. We also couldn't pass up a little afternoon drink and ordered their seasonal lychee mimosa, which was very light and refreshing. Honestly I wish I could have had a few more. As for food items, the goat cheese toast was amazing. Both of us kept going back for more bites and finished it off. The dish is generous with the cheese, yet it wasn't overpowering. The salad was great and paired nicely with the toast. The fruit made it light and fresh, the pistachio provided a nice flavor and crunch, and the kale provided a great balance. The shrimp lumpia was my absolute favorite. It came out perfectly bite-sized, lightly oiled, not dense at all and the jalapeño aioli was truly the star of the dish. The Margherita pizza wasn't anything out of the ordinary but the dough and crust was light and fluffy and it was an overall solid pizza. I will for sure be back to try other dishes as there are many more to check out! And finally, Kenny T provided exceptional service and made our day that much brighter. He was so friendly, thorough, attentive and hit that sweet spot by checking on us just the right amount. Thank you for a great and positive experience Kenny! Also compliments to the chef, the food was outstanding.

Zenaida C.

Yelp
The Filipino menu that we picked especially the Bone Marrow Pizza was one of a kind & delicious! We enjoyed the ambiance too. Service was excellent.

Yelp
My husband & I went for the 5 course seafood menu. The food was exceptional!!! Chef Ross is brilliant! Service was excellent and we love sitting at the chef's counter. 1st course was dungeons crab, 2nd course was hamachi, 3rd course was shrimp risotto, 4th course was ocean trout, and desert was coconut panna cotta. Everything was sublime. I am looking forward to the next tasting menu dinner!!!

Ian T.

Yelp
I went there on a dinner date and we had a great time. We have been meaning to check out this restaurant ever since Brad A. Johnson named it one of the best restaurants in Orange County and I would say that it met expectations. Usually we are skeptical of fusion cuisine but this place pulled it off. One thing that wasn't quite right is that the menu on the website was not the same as the one given to us at the restaurant. I would consider the website as an example, and if you have strict dietary restrictions (as I do), maybe ask for the menu ahead of time. That said, the chef was able to put something together that worked for me and was quite delicious. Here's what we ordered: * The Salmon Poke Lettuce Tacos -- these were tasty, if a little bit salty. It's a basic but solid dish. They were served with a little more seaweed than normal, which I enjoyed. * The Pork Cheek Adobo -- this dish is fairly heavy (there was a lot of oil in the rice) but the pork was delicious, easily the best I've had since eating at Filipino restaurants in Queens, NY. * The duck breast -- this was perfect, fatty and crispy without being oily or greasy. I got this with some modifications which were thoughtfully prepared and great to eat. The restaurant doesn't have a liquor service but has a pretty decent beer and wine selection. We were happy with their wine suggestions. The service was friendly and attentive. Our total bill for two, including drinks, tip, and tax, came to $183.

Yelp
Very Rude and dare I say dismissive to people that they don't want to serve for who knows what reason. Did not feel welcomed or valued as a customer and will make sure to take my time and money else where.

Jilleen S.

Yelp
Terrace by Mix Mix is one of those rare places where everything just clicks -- the food, the ambiance, and most of all, the service. Located on the top floor of South Coast Plaza, this spot serves up globally inspired dishes with a modern, creative twist, courtesy of Chef Ross Pangilinan. As a vegetarian, it can sometimes be tricky navigating a menu, but our server **Kenny T** made the experience absolutely seamless. He was incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to walk me through all the vegetarian options, highlighting not only what was available, but what he personally recommended -- and he was spot on. His attention to detail and genuine enthusiasm really elevated the entire meal. The beet and burrata salad was a perfect start -- fresh, vibrant, and beautifully plated. The mushroom pasta was deeply flavorful and rich without being heavy. Even the sides were thoughtfully prepared. You can tell the kitchen puts as much care into their plant-based offerings as their meat dishes. The terrace seating adds a breezy, relaxed vibe, perfect for a lunch or sunset dinner. With food this good and service this welcoming, Terrace by Mix Mix is easily one of my favorite dining experiences in Orange County. **Special shoutout to Kenny T -- you're a rockstar!**

Yelp
My friend organized to have brunch here on MLK Day for 4 people. I was set on ordering their Filipino Brunch from their Express Lunch 3 course menu with pork cheek adobo, shrimp lumpia, sweet longanisa and garlic rice but they sold out of the shrimp lumpia over the weekend and that's what I wanted to try. So instead I ended up trying one of the daily specials - Shrimp Fried Rice with Chimichurri served with Garlic Rice which was fantastic. Anything with chimichurri is always a must order for me. For my starter, I had an Albacore Tostada which I had tried before and it tasted just as I remembered from my first time here. Dessert was a scoop each of vanilla and ube ice cream,a perfect ending to a wonderful lunch date with good friends. Thanks to Valerie for a wonderful service.

Yelp
OMG, stop reading this review and go make a reservation now! I cannot believe it took me this long to come here. Sit on the patio. Yes, they have heaters. Enjoy a glass of wine. I highly recommend the Rioja. Go with the pre-fix menu and choose away. We did two pre-fix menus since we couldn't narrow down what we wanted to eat. Seriously EVERYTHING was delicious. They took amazing care of us. And then surprised us with candles in our chosen desserts. I am still dreaming about those mussels and could go just for that with a glass of wine. Side note: when making reservations anywhere if you are celebrating something let them know. You are going out to celebrate, so go big. PS - if you haven't yet make the reservation, seriously. Oh if you are looking for a date night spot, this is perfect.

Yelp
I attended my friend's bridal shower here, and the food was amazing! The terrace area was beautiful and had a great ambiance. I'd definitely come back.

Yelp
Unexpected hidden gem! Came here for brunch on a Saturday and it was not busy at all. It's located on the 3rd floor of south coast plaza right at the end of the bridge to the other building. The decor is so beautiful and they have a nice outdoor patio area. I ordered the salmon Benedict and it was absolutely delicious and came out so quickly. I will absolutely be back to try other items

Yelp
This "sniffs in" at 3.75 stars... I am going to go off memory and may fill in details better later. GOAT CHEESE TOAST: -- creamy soft tasty goat cheese -- the toast is nicely done -- the greens and toppings utilized were on point RATING = A GARLIC FRIED RICE: -- I never ask for the salt shaker but I did here as it was very light on flavor -- a gooier egg would have been even nicer -- nice up to moderate garlic flavor -- not crunchy rice but more soft RATING = B+ MANGO COCONUT UBE PANNA COTTA: -- it's nice tasting but it does not really work all combined -- the mango is super tart which overpowers everything else -- there is a layer of more tartness or distraction under the panna cotta -- the coconut panna cotta gets steam rolled by all the bold other flavors so this does not work IMHO -- lose the mango, keep the ube, lose whatever the layer is under the panna cotta -- they tried to "go big or go home" and I went home on this one RATING = C+ STICKY TOFFEE PUTTING W/BROWN BUTTER ICE CREAM?: -- I cannot recall the exact dessert but I think this was it -- presents as a sail boat -- the cake is moderately moist -- the boat sails are made of fried spring roll skin -- this has a big lean to HIGH sweet -- tasty for sure and all elements work together -- a bit too sweet for me to eat the whole thing but we shared RATING = A- The dining space is nice and they even have a small outdoor section. Staff are solid. A bit overpriced for what you get. There are less expensive similar or better options nearby so I am not too sure about them.

Yelp
Atmosphere is good and pizza taste yummy ! Better than I expected. Make sure to check their operating hours. They close a bit earlier than other restaurants.

Yelp
I always love trying American-Filipino mixed cuisine. Terrace is located on the other side of the bridge of South Coast Plaza. We were seated in the patio that had lots of seating and natural light. I enjoyed the ambience and service but the food was okay. The shrimp lumpia was underwhelming and I wish it had more filling. I liked the duck ragu pasta but it could've had more sauce. We also ordered the bone marrow pizza to share. I liked the toppings and sauce on top but the pizza dough was so thin and undercooked so it was hard to cut with the pizza cutter. I ended up having to rip the pieces with my hands. I would come back for drinks and appetizers but not for their main dishes.

Yelp
I was so disappointed with my dining experience at Terrace. Such a shame, I was excited to try this place too. TLDR: service is SO SLOW (we waited 45 minutes for our entrees) and our food was prepared unevenly. I would not come back. Save your time and money. Food: Our duck entree had one lukewarm duck piece and a warm piece. The side potatoes were cold. Our scallop entree had 3 scallops and potatoes. Potatoes were hot and scallops were lukewarm. Our food was clearly sitting there before being brought out. It tasted fine but nothing mind blowing, portions are pretty small also. I bet it would taste better if it was served right away. Plating is pretty thoughz Service: My bf and I ordered a small plate (pork cheek adobo), duck entree, scallop entree, and wine. About 10 minutes later our server told us they ran out of the adobo and we said that's totally fine then switched it to the steamed mussels small plate. We waited 45 MINUTES for 2 entrees food to come out, no small plate. They forgot about our steamed mussel small plate but was not going to wait another 45 minutes for a forgotten dish to come out. Our bill still had the adobo dish they ran out of! They were going to charge me for it even when they didn't have it anymore and the server didn't switch it to the mussels dish. Restaurant is really cute and their terrace is aesthetically pleasing. The prices are steep, and I know that's expected from a restaurant at south coast plaza but so NOT WORTH IT.

Yelp
Terrace is one my favorite places to be at, the food is amazing and the service is great. Kenny B usually attends to my table and he is very thoughtful & always making great conversation. Kenny always recommends the best deserts and food overall! I usually try to come every week . For my best friends birthday he remembered her birthday & I thought that was very sweet because we had mentioned it to him almost 2 weeks before. Amanda is also one of my favorite people she is always making sure my drink is filled and that I'm not missing anything on my table. I love it here ! I'll be back next week for sure!

Yelp
Located inside the south coast plaza mall on the 3rd Floor. nice outdoor setting. they had a tasting menu I tried in april which was filipino fusion style. Server was attentive and provided good descriptions of our meal. i really enjoyed the different and unique way the chef prepared traditional filipino dishes.

Yelp
Food: 5/5 Service: 4.5/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Chose this restaurant for a birthday dinner on a Friday night and really enjoyed the experience. Most of our party chose the prix fixed menu ($50 for a starter, small plate, entree, and dessert). I felt it was well worth the price and I especially enjoyed the adobo and hangar steak. One note is that the food came out at different times, so not everyone will be able to eat at the same pace. Overall, I would definitely love to come again and try more of the menu.
