This is the coziest coffee shop in the area. I love the chill atmosphere, the music is great and the staff are great. I've gotten a drip and latte and they were awesome. The pastry case is pretty great too. They might sell out if you want too long but they have some good stuff in there, the cookies in particular are awesome, especially the earl grey cookie.

One of the best coffees I had in Oregon! Cute little coffee shop with amazing coffee & great bagels and cookies. Great vibes, great coffee. Even the glasses are very special. Loved it!

Google
I rarely five 5 stars for anything that doesn’t involve Organic ingredients, but this is one of a few times it’s necessary. Terrain Project is a delightful cafe with outstanding espresso and maybe they infuse or imbed the flavors into drinks- I’m not sure but the drinks tasted delightful. The pastries were sublime. I ended up w/ the Berry Poptart which was like a stuffed croissant.

I was in Vancouver for my nieces graduation and my motel was a block away from this coffee shop. I went in several mornings in a row and was very impressed with the staff. Very friendly and welcoming. They will remember those who come in regularly. Clean and eclectic atmosphere. French onion pop tart. I mean, what the heck. But it was amazing. My family here never heard of the place but came with me o e day and said this will be one of their places to visit more regularly. Thanks everyone.

Google
Best cafe! Free WiFi, wonderful atmosphere, friendly staff. The food and drinks are delicious. Can’t wait to come back! (The matcha latte was delicious and I recommend trying a pastry while you’re there!)

Such a great experience at this coffee shop the gentleman that had gone to school at University of Georgia had a good talk with. I ended up getting a chai latte and had him make it dirty for shot. I recommend this place if anybody's kicking around

This coffee shop is a nice spot to visit. The staff is incredibly kind and helpful. The avocado toast is really good—fresh and flavorful. Will be coming back!

Great coffee! Great atmosphere! I got the sugar-free brown sugar cinnamon latte. I've never had anything like that, and it was amazing. Both baristas were very personable. Lots of seating, live plants, some games … You can't go wrong if you like coffee and if you like downtown Vancouver!

Yelp
Terrain is my new coffee shop of choice in Vancouver! I have passed by so many times and am regretting not coming in before now. The interior has a cool vintage feel, with the old safe door behind the counter. The service is great and our order was submitted fast. It was only a minute and our coffees were done. My latte was one of the best I have ever had. It was smooth and the flavor was spot on delicious!!! The coffee was so good, I swung back later in the morning to try a spiced cider... whoa! It had a nice kick to it! Perfect for the cold gloomy days in the area. Awesome service, awesome location, awesome coffee! I can't wait to get back!!!

Yelp
I was here on a Saturday afternoon about 1.5 hrs before they close. They do close earlier but the employees were very nice. There's a large bench table for bigger bigger groups and several smaller tables. Lots of outlets near the wall which is great if you're planning on getting some work done. I had their Mitzuka matcha with oatmilk which was good. It wasn't overly sweet, more on the bitter side. I didn't add anything.. so if I was feeling more sweet I may have them add some vanilla syrup. Located in downtown Vancouver, there's just street parking.

Yelp
One of my favorite coffee spots to bring friends visiting! The pistachio latte I had here while initially stopping my first time visiting before moving here was the nail in the decision making coffin that we indeed wanted to live in Vancouver verses living in PDX. The employee who was working the counter showed so much kindness to a man who didn't have enough money for a cup of coffee. That empathy will go a long way! Thanks for being a great part of the Vancouver community

Yelp
Definitely my new favorite coffee place. The barista was welcoming, the coffee delicious and the pastries - OMG! So good! Lovely spot and not hard to get a parking spot during the week.

Yelp
Such a cute coffee cafe. It's caught my attention a few times walking by, but today I decided to stop in. The ambiance is warm and inviting. It is an older building and has a bit of a old warehouse (small) vibe. Old red brick worn walls, paired with the warmth of aged and worn hard wood floors and roll up glass garage doors that allow for beams of sun to come through. I ordered a honey latte, which came served with a heart. Perfectly blended, one of the better honey lattes I've had (which I've been ordering at a variety of coffee shops the last four years). Service is friendly and attentive. There was just one woman working but she immediately ensured she stopped a private conversation she was having when I walked in to ensure I felt important. Shortly after a small crowd came in. She welcomed everyone, acknowledged and let them know she would be right with them. She handled the pace with grace and calm. I enjoyed that! I guess my only regret is not to have stopped in sooner and try this cafe out. I will be back! Thanks for creating a calm atmosphere and a delicious coffee drink!

Yelp
Lovely chill vibe to work and enjoy a delicious cafe beverage/ pastry! Employees were all very nice too!

Yelp
Just discovered this shop tucked between a couple of other places downtown Vancouver. It may become my new favorite. The place is cozy but has plenty of seating to hang out. The gentlemen who helped me was very friendly and welcoming, not sure if he is the owner or not. Anyways, I got the ginger snap latte, and it had fresh orange peel as a garnish. One of the best lattes I have had in awhile. I do not like sweet drinks and this had a great balance of flavor and coffee. I would highly recommended!

Yelp
Great coffee, nice staff, chill ambiance. I normally take my drink to-go but the area is nice and inside is clean and quiet.

Amanda D.

Yelp
We came here thinking we would get a treat and a coffee - just normal stuff. Let me tell y'all.... This is a 10/5 stars. The staff here is really REALLY good people and the coffee was incredible. We had a pistachio latte which is probably the best thing to ever exist. While we were there, they had a few people come in off the street who didn't have any cash for their coffees. The guy working the counter treated them just as if they were any other customers and got them coffees and bagels to sit out of the rain and cold to enjoy. It was nice to see someone show that kind of compassion to another human. Good work guys!

Katie N.

Yelp
Delicious oat milk latte that wasn't syrup-heavy like a lot of cafes. The man got a cortado with vanilla, and thoroughly enjoyed it. We split the lemon earl grey cookie, which was heavenly and the perfect complement to our coffees. We'll absolutely be going back!

Yelp
Visited for the first time today. The manager (assuming so, as he was a bit bossy to the 2nd employee), complained about how customers put dirty spoons in the clean spoons, so he no longer puts out spoons (nor stirrers). I asked if I could combine tables for a group of 8 and he had lots of particulars, but didn't offer to help even though I was the only customer at that time - the other two people were sitting quietly aside, already served and working. I got a dirty chai, which tasted like a big cup of strong cardamom, so I also ordered a drip coffee to put some spoonfulls of the dirty chain in as to not waste and not make a big deal out of it. I ended up tossing the cardamom drink and just stuck with the drip coffee. I was told there were free refills of, so when I went for one (you have to wait in line, it is not self-serve), they were all out and I was told I would be brought my coffee once they made a new pot (guess they don't brew backups to fulfill unlimited refills efficiently). About a half hour later, I heard them hollering, so I snagged my coffee. The jalapeno cheese bagel toasted with cream cheese that I got was barely warm and not toasted and had a thin smear on it like it was butter. I ate half, then tossed the rest, now completely hard and cold. It would be nice if the manager was type A about the things that matter, like good drinks, toasting toasted bagels, and maybe nice and friendly service. Definitely never going back.

Yelp
Beautiful coffee shop filled with nice plants and good vibes. Very nice staff and seems like a good place to go do work. In the heart of downtown Vancouver so great for a Sunday afternoon coffee before checking out the area. Only critic is I could see this place filling up fast as there is not a ton of seating.

Cole K.

Yelp
Very below average coffee shop in downtown Vancouver, and the service was not good at all. My girlfriend and I walked in here on a early Friday afternoon since the coffee spot across the street was too busy with no place to sit and wanted to try it. BUT trust me, I'd recommend going to that other coffee spot and waiting for them based on the experience we had here at this location. We went to order and it was only one person working which was fine, but it took forever to even place our order. He had the iPad up front and the group of people in front of us ordered off of it. So, when it was finally our turn to order, we used the iPad and the person working didn't even say a word to us, ask us for our order, or if we even needed help as well. So, we went ahead and placed our 2 drink orders and a dessert and paid and sat down at the table. After about 5 min, the person working came to the front by the iPad and said, "did you guys place the order here?" We said yes, then he went on to add, "oh, well we are out of the cinnamon roll you wanted." Then we said, "okay no worries, what other pastries do you have?" Then he replied and said, "none." And so he just reimbursed us for the desert we never received. We thought his responses to us were just weird and rude. After waiting close to another 10 min or so, I received my nitro brewed coffee and my girlfriend was still waiting on hers. Then after 5 more min, he walked over with her Matcha Drink and said, "Here's your Matcha Drink. And also next time, please don't order off the iPad since we need to verify the check outs and make sure it's all good. I'm just letting you both know for future reference since you can't do that." Immediately we both looked at one another and were confused and didn't appreciate his tone he had with us. He NEVER asked for our order after waiting and decided to order since the iPad was in front of us open and we didn't have time to wait any longer and I actually had a job interview to get too as well. It was just very odd and weird how he spoke to us and quite frankly, not professional or nice at all. He could have expressed the way he felt in a more professional manner. As far as the drinks go, they were NOT good at all either. The Nitro Cold Brew did not have a taste at all and was lukewarm, and the Matcha Drink was overall not good as well. Overall, the most ironic part of this is how he mentioned, "for future reference" for when we come back and how to order drinks and quite frankly, with the service we received, the low quality of coffee, and the experience in general on a Friday afternoon, we will NOT be coming back here going forward - so he wasted his time making those remarks to us. Like I said earlier, I'd highly recommend any another coffee spot in the downtown Vancouver area!

Yelp
The best coffee in Vancouver thus far. They truly are presenting great espresso style coffee quality with some fantastically flavorful blends. If you love your espresso and are a coffee connoisseur please be sure to visit. I've come here multiple times and each time they are on point.

K B.

Yelp
Yes! Small place but great atmosphere, tons of character, good coffee, and great and friendly service. Just wish they were open past 3pm. But it's an excellent little place.

Charles M.

Yelp
Fantastic coffee. I got a red eye, talked about Miyazaki films while I waited, and had a good time. Coffee was delicious and berry forward. The funfetti cookie, though, is the surprise star. The sprinkles, purple color and the hidden cornmeal makes this a killer sweet treat. Crunchy cornmeal made this the fave of myself and my kids (went back for another amd they'd already sold out! Fantastic spot!

Yelp
I really enjoy it here, having swung through to work on my computer on my first day in town and been coming back semi-regularly ever since. They have really good espresso drinks, along with drip coffee and a bunch of non-coffee beverages that also sound great. I think I've gotten cappuccinos from four or five different baristas now and it's quality no matter who does the prep. Staff is extremely pleasant and helpful as well which makes it a really nice experience regardless of whether you're working remote or socializing. They also sell their beans and have a small but great food menu, and have some really nice merch and home coffee gear too. It's basically everything I want from a local cafe.

Greg K.

Yelp
In the heart of downtown Vancouver, you'll find this quaint little cafe serving up the classics and a few rotating seasonal specials. The interior is bright lively and feature the timeless exposed brick, classic to the aged building. My wife ordered a Chai, and I ordered the Nitro Rapid Chill. The Chai had a good spice but was not very sweet. If you like it sweeter, you might like to try another drink. Unfamiliar with, I asked about the Nitro Rapid Chill. It is hot brewed coffee that is rapidly chilled and then infused with nitro (they bottle it in the summer). I'm used to cold brew, so I gave it a shot. It was good, a little more bitter than cold brew, but my half and half mellowed it out. They guy working there was super friendly. I'm not sure if he was the owner, but he definitely created a warm and inviting first experience for us both.

Yelp
I was staying at a nearby hotel and am very glad I stopped by here for breakfast and a coffee. I had the salt and herb bagel with schmear and it was delicious. Very east coast style bagel. I also had the honey latter and it was perfect. Will definitely come again next time I'm in town!

Sara W.

Yelp
I loved everything about this place. From the moment you walk in you are greeted by smiles and welcoming atmosphere. the beverages are crafted beautifully and tasted amazing. The pastries were the perfect compliment. NOT TO MENTION- they have a giant table that was great for our whole family to sit and play a game while the parents got to enjoy their bevs! Thank you

Go F.

Yelp
Looks like just another coffee shop from the outside, but this place is different. They only use the highest quality ingredients in their drinks. From the imported single origin beans to the Mizuba matcha, their stuff is premium. Even their pastries are from the Baron Patisserie. You gotta deal with the hipsters and yuppies but the coffee is legit. Trust me, I've had straight black coffee from just about everywhere.

Travis W.

Yelp
Stopped in here after getting pizza next door at Nonavo. Got a cup of filter coffee, which was delightful. The baristas were super friendly and the coffee very good. Plus the interior is airy and welcoming. Will definitely be back! Also they are a LGBTQ friendly business, so that's a huge bonus :)

Jessica P.

Yelp
Great coffee! (I got a vanilla latte with oat milk). Perfect amount of sweetness without being overpowering so you could still taste the coffee). Dare I say maybe my new favorite coffee spot in Vancouver! Friendly staff and very inviting and cute ambiance. The doors roll up so you can get fresh air in the summer and Parking was pretty easy to find

Dana B.

Yelp
Amazing space, coffee and customer service. And, biscotti were pretty dang good too! The place just has a good vibe, thanks to the commitment to owners. This will definitely be a spot to come and relax with a hot latte!

Steve A.

Yelp
Best coffee in Vancouver. Tasty crafted coffee, friendly staff, and is located in the heart of downtown...my go to before the farmers market. Enjoy!

Cate J.

Yelp
I love Terrain. It's one of the coziest shops in downtown Vancouver. The coffee is always hot and delicious and the staff are so friendly and nice.

Glade C.

Yelp
I will revise this review if I should go back. But let me start with the "spicy chai". I flew the quotes because the lose interpretation of spicy. My children say something is spicy, but it doesn't mean what we think it does. Anyways, I would hope that if asking for a spicy chai I would get something at least as "spicy" as tazo boxed chai? Maybe. Maybe I do. So the chai was some weaksauce iced milk disaster that I poured into my tea later that morning just to salvage it. Waste not. I also ordered the cherry danish something. I mean I know the kid doesn't make this in the back, I get that he's got a guy that drops off to the coffees in the area. But maybe this was dropped off a day or 2? Ago. So yea, 10 bucks for 2-fisted disappointment. I will pass this place Every Single Day on my way to the office and decide if this is the day I'm willing to be let down like this again.

Em Z.

Yelp
Great coffee. Great food. Very fond of the lad working the counter. Ambiance also quite good.

Michael N.

Yelp
Thought Kafiex held the title for most pretentious coffee in Vancouver but we've got a new record holder! You would think after questioning a customer with, "do you know what a macchiato is?" after ordering one they would make it properly. If you're looking to try a new coffee place, I'd try almost anywhere else. A similar ambiance without the attitude is Brewed right down the street (and you won't pay $50 for two coffees and some food).

Sierra W.

Yelp
Great coffee & even better barista! So happy to have Terrain in my new neighborhood! Also the bagels are to die for.

Joseph T.

Yelp
I've lived in vancouver most of my life and visited nearly every coffee shop in vancouver and can easily say this is the best coffee in vancouver! The owner seems to pour his heart and soul into brewing some amazing beans. Lastly everyone making the coffee is friendly and the atmosphere is just right! In other words I like everything about terrain

David R.

Yelp
Stopped by terrain while in Vancouver because I was recommended by a friend. Great matcha and coffee aswell as the overall atmosphere of the shop is great. Owner was awsome and had a cool story aswell. Highly recommend

Frances R. H.

Yelp
Excellent coffee! Have some other interesting coffee/tea/matcha drinks that look worth trying. Interesting old building. Will be back definitely.
