This has to be one of my favorite restaurants in Oaxaca! It’s a bit of a walk from the centro histórico, located on top of a hotel, but it’s well worth it. (Almost) everything here was delicious and to die for. We ordered a variety of dishes to share, and I highly recommend doing the same when going in a group.
We ordered a tamal de elote, tamal de frijol, tostadas, a mix of empanadas, and our favorite, the garnachas. The tamal de elote was exquisite, just delicious. On the other hand, the tamal de frijol was my least favorite dish, it was super dry and lacked flavor. The tostadas were solid, and the empanadas were good, although I expected a bit more from them. The garnachas were our absolute favorite.
We also had agua de sandía, which was just delicious, refreshing, and the best part was that it didn’t taste sugary at all. The service was great, and although it’s a bit of a trek from the centro histórico, the terrace offered a great view, making it a perfect spot to enjoy the evening with great food. Easily one of my favorites in Oaxaca.
