Overpriced for sure. Dish presentation needs to improve by far. I Had a chicken Parm.... Tiny peace of meat... Requested Alfredo Sauce instead and was never told it would be a nice extra 💰 to replace with Alfredo Sauce... Had I known I simply would have ordered a Simple chicken Alfredo.... There are so many delicious Italian restaurants worth every penny. This one unfortunately, was not one of those.

Absolutely appalling service-never again! IF I could give zero stars, I would! I've have better service at a vending machine. We had a party of 8 therefore a 20% gratuity was automatically included and you could tell the waitress, Maya, knew it!! No sense of urgency for our table. She had one other table of four, which she basically spoon fed them as we thirst to death. Was it because gratuity was included and she had to work for that tip? And Refills? Forget it! We sat with empty, no ice glasses for over an hour until we interrupted our waitress to please refill them. She never cleaned off the empty dishes until she was ready for us to leave. She said she would get in trouble if she didn't clean our table. I will say our food was tasty although could have used some more sauce plus we had to ask for bread. It took an hour and a half to receive our meals. The restuarant was not full. There was no explanation for this type of service. I mentioned our poor service to Maya. She seemed irritated that I called her out on her service. I work hard and if I plan to splurge for a nice dining experience, much less a special celebration for our friend, then I expect it. I did not dispute my tip because we were served and it was my friends birthday. I hope Maya considers my constructive criticism in the future. Not to mention... she was dressed all in black, although it was a tank top and cropped biker pants. Very unprofessional all the way through! Save yourself the time and money-go literally anywhere else!

We had a new waitress tonight her name was Hailey she was adorable and made a perfect evening with her sunny disposition. We come all the time and welcome this new server who will make experiences memorable! Thank you Haley ! Welcome to the wait staff we will be back again and again. Thank you for the fun night

We eat at this fabulous restaurant numerous times and many times have brought guests along. Without exception, the kind service which starts immediately upon entering and continues throughout the meal. It’s terrific to bring guests and absolutely KNOW it will be a fabulous meal.

I'm going to chalk this up to a bad experience - restaurant was not at all busy yet I waited for over 10 minutes before I was even greeted at the hostess stand. I ended up sitting at the bar, where service was indifferent at best.. Maybe because I was a single individual (??) - lot of focus on the three other parties of multiple people around seated around me. I did not receive the complimentary bread until I asked, once food was delivered, I was never revisited asking if all well with the meal and so on. I had penne and vodka sauce with chicken and sun-dried tomatoes. Chicken was dry, not much of it and not many sun-dried tomatoes......

Authentic Italian! Always consistently good! Love the spicy shrimp appetizer! Generous portions! Our waitress grace was outstanding. Very attentive and remembered everything we asked for!

Friends suggested this place so we gave it a try. Oue server was wonderful, but the food? Not very good at ALL!. Calamari was not hot and more like little hard fried pieces of whatever with absolutely no flavor. (Honestly the worst we have ever had.) Caesar salad was ok. Veal parmesan was over cooked/fried and burnt on the edges. The spaghetti served with it was mushy (definately just sitiing in water in the kitchen to be served through the night.) I HATE wasting good money on bad food. We will not go back.

I had cheese ravioli and meatballs and my husband and a friend had spaghetti and meatballs. Both meals were very good. Another friend had ziti in white sauce and chicken..also an excellent meal. Service was good. The pictures below were taken in the first room. There are two more areas of seating as you walk farther into the restaurant.

The best local Italian restaurant in the area. Family run for over 25 years Food is fresh and delicious! Great tunes as well.

Coming from a local food service worker, with lots of respect to anyone in the restaurant industry - this is easily the worst restaurant experience I've had in my life

We only stooped in for a drink and an appetizer, so this is only for the bar area. It was pretty crowded on a weekday night and the crowd was lively. The bar service was good and the app we ordered was divine - meatball sliders. If their entire menu is this tasty, then we can't wait to return. I appreciate the effort put forth in the outdoor flowers and the ones they added to the bar. Nice place and we will be back.

The place looks really nice when you first walk in. When you are seated, the tables are sticky. The drinks were good. The food was not impressive. Ordered both ravioli options and stuffed shells. The food did not taste fresh and left a weird taste in our mouth. The sauce was off and just did not do much for us. They did not bring out the bread that was supposed to be included with the meal. We didn't ask as we just wanted to eat and leave at this point. Our server seemed uninterested in being there. I would not return due to poor food quality and poor service.

Walking in the door is an experience in it's self! it's dark and dreamy and very romantic. I was greeted by the bar tender the second I walked through the door. I was seated quickly and served water and menus quickly! I have had A LOT of Italian food prepared by a full blood Italian, Terrazzo is pretty darn close. It was so good!! With a shared entrée, 2 desserts and 1 alcoholic beverage the bill was only $58, and we were both stuffed! Will for sure be making this a regular eating spot!

Let me start by stating I have been eating at this restaurant for 20 + years. The last review I ever wrote was 4 years ago. Ironically, it was for this exact place. We made a reservation for 10 people 3 weeks ago. We were seated at the glass high top table that has ample room for 8 (tight). The waitress was polite, but new. We placed an order for appetizers and they came out in reasonable time. We placed our dinner order which never came out! After a 1hr and 10 minutes and numerous requests for an update, we were told they had a few large tables in tonight so things were slow. Well, we never saw the manager or person in charge come to our table! We told the waitress when the food comes out to bring to-go-boxes. Unfortunately, we never got to eat together and everyone took their food home. Eating at 9pm doesn't work for me. Folks, we did get a 10% discount, but still never saw the person in charge. We understand it's the holiday season, but on a Tuesday night? Suggestion: If you can provide service, don't seat the people! Very disappointing experience!

I rarely give a bad review but Terrazzo, you need to do better. Salads were lukewarm. The Chicken Saltimbocca was insanely salty. It does not need more salt given the pancetta. I could not even eat it. My husband was served the incorrect meal and instead of correcting, they said it would be a long wait to cook the correct item or he could eat what she brought.so disappointing to pay $75 for such an awful meal!

Top notch Italian restaurant. Pasta is made to order. Every dish I've had so far has been superb. Pizza is up there with the top local pizzerias. Thin crust and a great take home after your entries for a late night snack or next day lunch. The deserts are bakery style freshly made never had one I didn't like either. Been here at least a dozen times and have never had a disappointing experience. A bit pricey but worth it for a special occasion .

Like many restaurants, they have their good and bad dishes. However, when ordering a special (not sure what it means) I personally expect it to be Amazing in taste, presentation, and ingredients. Not here, the Shrimp and Sausage rigatoni was awful - the sauce and rig was good, but the shrimp used was minimal and overcooked, there was plenty of sausage, but it too was overcooked. I was given 5 small shrimp which I had to dig for, and comparing that to my Grandson's Shrimp Parm (whatever the cheese was), he received 10 very large plump shrimp for about half the price (adult meals only here). The other meals my family enjoyed were good. This is how I see it and in order to compete the owner and cook honest: All specials should be on display so that the customer knows what to expect. Ordering food shouldn't be a lottery. Did I complain? No. Who wants to complain when out for a nice time. Been there and done that and the fun conversation always makes a change to not so fun for a bit. Would I go back - probably not for a while. We will see if the owner responds to my review. Until then, I won't return.

I just picked up the best meal to go from here. I wish I would've got pictures of all the dishes we ordered, but the food was so good it did not last!! The bistro special pizza was so flavorful and topped full of amazingly fresh ingredients. The chicken Alfredo was of course a delicious classic. We also ordered a lemon chicken aka romana dish that had a wonderful blend of veggies and a very nice lighter lemon sauce rather than the rich creaminess of the Alfredo. Super easy to pick up at the restaurant, they have a dedicated to go entrance toward the back.

this was without a doubt the worst dining experience I've ever had in Wilmington...let me preface that by saying the meatball appy we finally were served was excellent. that is the end of good part of the meal. Our waitress got nothing right. I asked for iced tea with a lot of ice...It eventually came with no ice. Waitress said she would get me a glass of ice right away..15 minutes later she walked by in a cloud with nothing. I walked 10 ft to the bar and got it myself. The appetizer came out with a side salad my wife ordered but no dressing..dry.. the waitress said we never picked a dressing but declined to ask which one we wanted. Enough complaining about that. Almost an hour later our entrees were delivered by the manager because the waitress said they were slammed. The grilled steak Caesar. Salad i ordered medium rare came out cold with about 6 small strips of well done disgusting looking meat delivered by the manager . I said no way take it off. My wife's penne with sausage and spinach was a disgusting blob of oily cheese. I had the manager take that off too and left. The horrible service was only exceeded by the grotesque food we waited forever for. Do not go to this place unless your are a masochist,

Hostess and server were gracious and welcoming. I had the shrimp, mussels, calamari over linguini. It was very tasty with a nice marinara sauce. Good sized portion too. My wife unfortunately had what she said was the worst eggplant parmigiana she ever had. "It was all sauce with hardly any eggplant. I am giving it 3 stars because the vibe, service and my dish were good, but I feel the menu may be a "hit or a miss."

Calamari: very good and fresh Chicken Marsala: sauce was not good; was on the Tangy side. Carraba's has a better sauce. Shrimp, mussels and scallop pasta: just ok. Scallops were tough. Would taste a lot better without bread crumbs. Had to ask for parmesan cheese and they brought a shaker. No fresh bread and olive oil was offered. We were disappointed because I came 15 years ago and it was delicious.

Great food, authentic cuisine. Would recommend and a huge fountain in the middle of the restraunt with great staff.

I ordered food to go while in town recently. I must say that they have a pretty good Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and broccoli. I will definitely try it again when I visit the area!

Bar service and food were excellent! Would have given 5 stars but dining room server was terrible. Could use some more training. Would def come back but maybe eat at the bar next time

I was shocked at how much I loved everything about this meal tonight. I had not been to Terrazzo for about 20'years. Not too many people talk about it so I figured I wasn't missing much. However, this was by far one of the best all around Italian meals I have had in a very long time. The decor of the restaurant is casual yet elegant with candlelit Ulta keys and old style Italian music playing. It was such a cozy spot for both casual or getting dressed up. There were several people eating alone enjoying some wine and catching up on reading or work, too. I can see why- it was lovely. Our server was wonderful! She was training someone and we loved both of them. The bread service was very nice with a delicious EVOO blend to dip it in. I had the chicken saltombucca and it was heavenly. Every bite was bursting with flavor. The shrimp scampi was also delicious and the shrimp were cooked to perfection. The NY strip was served with fries and a lot of mushrooms. I tried the steak and I wouldn't order it because the actual Italian food was amazing. My son really liked it though. The star of the night was the rigatoni alla vodka with spicy Italian sausage. How can something so simple be so good?? Absolutely wonderful! Our salads had some delicious dressings, too. For all of you ranch fans- try this out!! We had a wonderful birthday meal here and even the little dessert dough balls were great! I highly recommend this place!

A local Wilmington treasure. Fun atmosphere, extensive menu, full bar and wine, great Italian food and spectacular service. Antipasto was fresh and plentiful. Pasta vodka and shrimp parm were delightful. Service from Piper was second to none and we even met her sister Tatum who was working too. We will be back again and again! Thank you so much Terrazzo for a terrific dinner and evening!

We had lasagna and it was the quality of Stouffer's frozen lasagna. You would think that an Italian restaurant would be able to serve a good lasagna.The service was okay but I would not go back to this restaurant.

Our favorite restaurant in Wrightsville Beach. Was there about a month ago and as usual everything was great. Great Italian menu and very good pizza too. Highly recommend.

Well, very disappointing to say the least. Been here several times but our experience this last time has killed it for us. When three tables come in after you, two of those order their food after you yet all three get their food before you do, one plate (lasagna) is cold and you ask for an explanation as to why and receive none then ask to speak to the manager and the request is ignored by "the owner" who was in house and didn't want to address the issue....the decision to never return is an easy one. I do not think this was a server issue but rather a kitchen and extremely poor management issue. Any manager/owner that does not care to address poor customer service issue on their watch should not be in the service industry.

First time . I really liked the eggplant parmigiana... and the Seafoid pasta was good . Staff was very nice . I also appreciate the large portions . Will be sure to go back in the future !

The service is great. The food isn't. Pasta Florentine is is a mess. Pasta is over cooked - and under seasoned. There's no sauce - it's like a big bowl of green mush covered in mozzarella cheese. My Caesar salad was severely over dressed, too. The staff was really nice and should probably find a new place where the kitchen has higher standards. Sorry but true.

Service has gone down hill. Been coming here for years. Good food and good service. Been going down for a few years. Rock bottom now. Will not be returning

My absolute favorite Italian in Wilmington! Staff is always friendly and attentive! Good portion sizes along with fresh food.

This is like a local version of the olive garden but with a weird atmosphere. Overly salted, fast food quality italian food perfectly slated for some southern customers. I love my southern brethren!! But they do not understand italian food. The colors and flavors of their dishes rarely are on par with the specific dish. And some dishes seem like they ran out of tomatoes. A lot of people like it, so im not saying don't try it. But it is just sub-par italian food that isn't expensive but still more expensive than what you're paying for.

We had a great dinner experience here! It was somewhat busy but the staff was very attentive and helpful with recommendations and suggestions faith food allergies. There were 5 of us and we all got different dishes and all of them were amazing with great flavor! Also a nice change from your typical marinara or alfredo sauce options! P.s. the deserts were amazing too!

Probably would not go back. Our waitress was really great but the food was unfortunately mediocre at best. Not much flavor. The table also didn't seem like it was cleaned. I remember this place being better but it was a bit of a disappointment.

The food was okay but extremely overpriced for the portions. We also waited over a hour for our food. The service tonight was definitely the worst part of my experience.

If you are looking for a good time with family friends,and good food, do not go to Terrazzo Trattoria,the service was super poor the waitress that served us didn't offer us any bread with our meal and come to find out...we were due free bread with our meal....so we asked why didn't we get any bread and she said (only upon request)if so, why doesn't the menu say that...Our food took forever and, like I said, our waitress had no answers her attitude was oh well next time you can ask for the bread.... if our group of four would've knew to ask for the bread, we would've done so, but it didn't say it on the menu....as for the food I have had better frozen Italian food...

me and my wife went there today for the very first time. outside looked nice and the inside was beautiful. the young hostess was very nice and polite. she asked for our phone number and said there would be a wait. did not say how long so i had to ask her she replied back 15 minutes. i said that's fine and gave her our phone number & so she gave us our food and drink menus and silverware. we told her we would be waiting outside since that is where we would like to sit at, she said okay sure your server will be out in roughly 15 minutes. 45 almost 50 minutes go by we are still sitting in the same spot and no one ever came out. this older couple sat by us and waited for 25-30 minutes. so finally i go inside and ask how much longer till we can at least get a water. hostess says our server will be right out she's grabbing her now. finally a server comes out 5 minutes later and greets the older couple next to us that got there 30 minutes after us. the server sees us staring at her and she goes back inside. another minute goes by we start packing up our stuff getting ready to leave and she comes back out and talks to the older couple again and stops us as we are leaving and says she will be right with us and asks how long we have been waiting. i tell her it's fine it's not her fault we have been waiting for 55 minutes. that was our first time! 0/1000 recommend this place if you aren't a retired or old white person.

Great service and delicious food with very generous portions! Was a little disappointed in no offering of a kid's menu but being willing to half an order made up for it. We will be back!

This is a not bad food, maybe even the best Italian food in Wilmington NC . But if they are busy you are going to spend a quantity of time here. I am not sure it's 2 hours good.

Very disappointed with this place. The atmosphere is very nice a little too dark. The mozzarella appetizer is a joke. 6 frozen sticks. Expect better from an Italian restaurant. The baked ziti is very dry. Overall I don't think I will return.

I ordered the Shrimp Scampi like have numerous times and I could not eat it. It was terrible this time and I sent it back. It actually tasted like my husbands pasta with white clam sauce (I hate clams) with an additional flavor which neither of us could identify. Our service was also terrible and it was early and not busy when we went. Hopefully it was just an off night for them and not a steady decline in food and service.

Vinny was extremely personable and accommodating. Our flight was canceled and hotel staff recommended Terrazzo for dinner. We sat at the bar and could have been more happy with the food and the drinks. I had GF chicken piccata and my husband had a veal margarita. We will definitely eat there if we are ever in town again.

The food is good, ambiance is better. It can get loud since it's a small place. I've never had a bad experience here and I've always had great waiters. I love to sit in the "lounge" area while waiting for the table.

Food was good. Nice portions. We went on a Friday at 6 pm. Server was very nice but SUUUUPER slow. There were 2 of us and we ordered 1 app and 2 entrees. There were 2 other tables that sat after us, got their food after us, but got more drink refills and got their bill way before us. As long as you're not in a rush, it's a-ok. I would still go back, maybe another server would be more attentive.

Called in prior to arriving, they stated that the kitchen closed at 930. Arrived at 900 and was told the kitchen was closed by a man who identified himself as "the owner." When I explained we called in prior to Ativan, the same man was rude and proceeded to respond back behind the bar continuing to make comments as we saw ourselves out. It should be noted that the bar was active at the time and it appeared no one inside was abiding by any COVID guidelines (one of the only restaurants in the area that seems to be operating in disregard). Overall experience absolute 1/5 stars Location is on south end of shopping center- placed wrong in Maps.

We were dropping off my daughter to college in the area. Food was good service was prompt and friendly. I would stop back in when we are in the area.

From staff to food the BEST Italian in Wilmington! Love everything on the menu and is definitely a place to go when we have guests. Service is always great as well as prices. We love to eat outside whenever possible.

Experience here was far from what I expected. Came down to the beach for the day and needed a good place for dinner before headed home. Stopped by here because the reviews were good and the menu showed plenty of options. Once inside we were overlooked by everyone else other than the amazing hostess. I don't know her name but she had long red hair I believe. The food was mediocre and made me feel uneasy after. Our waitress Castilla didn't even check up on us after taking our order or dropping our food off. She only then started to show concern for the table once I made a comment about the way I felt after eating. We tried speaking to a manager there and on the phone but was hung up on twice after asking for one. If you're looking for a nice place to eat with good staff, don't go here and waste your money.

Great food. Great service. Fantastic atmosphere. A true Italian dining experience. Highly recommend if you are looking for a quality Italian meal!!
