We attended a cake decorating class. Ms Garnet was a superb teacher. She repeated herself as many times as necessary for us newbies. Very professional and pleasant. It was a superb experience and I encourage others to go. Btw, you get a cake!!!

One of the best bakeries in the city.of Detroit! Terri's has serviced so many of my clients and it has been nothing but chef's kisses and rave reviews!! My two favorite ingredients that she always uses is quality and love. Oh shoot!! I might have said the secret ingredients 🤫. You can't go wrong with Terri's for any occasion! It's also a place you can rent out for intimate events. Birthdays, cake making classes, corporate team building, fitness classes and more!!

I used Terri's Cakes for my October wedding and cannot recommend them enough for their desserts and as vendors. First, the desserts. I'm not a huge cake person (sorry!) but Terri's Cakes know what they're doing and they do it WELL. The flavor options are all amazing, I actually can't pick a favorite of what we tried. The cakes are moist and the frosting isn't overly sugary and sweet. For our wedding, we ordered a 3-tiered cake that could feed all of our guests, as well as the cake jars for people to take home as a favor. Terri's cakes also offered to customize the jars for us with stickers of whatever we wanted - we chose our dog and it was such a cute, small detail that a lot of guests loved. Second, the customer service. This is a family owned business and they will treat you like family as well. The woman we did our consultations with was so helpful, fun and nice. She explained all of our options to us clearly and made sure we were happy with what we were getting. We had a number of guests with nut and gluten allergies, and we were assured their bakery takes these issues very seriously. We felt comfortable serving these products to our friends and family with dietary restrictions. As a bonus - we get a complementary dessert for our one year anniversary so we didn't have to worry about freezing part of our cake! I'm already excited to see them next year.

Our cake was outstanding, absolute perfection beyond delish , all our cakes are going to be here from now on! Also they were flexible about picking up , I had timing hiccups all day and was able to pick up a different time without a problem.

Highly recommend Terri’s Cakes if you have any upcoming special events! I live far away and needed to organize a special delivery for my friends’ virtual baby shower (mom and dad live in Detroit, but the rest of us are geographically distributed). The team at Terri’s Cakes was easy to communicate with, helped me pick out some special decorations for the occasion, and the delivery was perfect. Mom and dad enjoyed the surprise - thank you!

We just moved to the area from out of state and we're looking for a vegan cake for my husband's birthday. Terri's cakes made a delicious and beautiful cookies and cream cake. I ordered cupcakes for my parents' 60th Anniversary Party. Garnet was wonderful to deal with - responded quickly, answered all of my questions, and offered very helpful suggestions. The cupcakes were beautiful and delicious! Such a wonderful addition to the party. I will be back!

I checked out Terri's Cakes Detroit a few weeks back at Eastern Market. The baby cake - I believe I had chocolate Fudge was really good! I would absolutely love to check out the hipster cupcakes which come in little glass containers. It looks so cool. They are big and serve two-three people (the baby cakes) and they offer Gluten-free options. Just contact them or check them out at the cafe. The woman I spoke with was extremely nice and reached out to me to keep me in the loop. I recommend giving them a try!

Good customer service is very important to me. I feel it is my responsibility to reward extraordinary service every time you experience it, to encourage their talent and professionalism in the future. Today's kudos go to Terri's Cakes in Detroit. I randomly found them on yelp via my research process. They impressed me immediately with their responsiveness and prices. During our initial call they answered all my questions, provided a few wonderful cupcake choices and assured me they would present me well. I eventually ordered the cookies & cream and the strawberry lemonade cupcakes for both shifts. Not only did they prepare the cupcakes, but they went above and beyond with the overall presentation, packaging and delivery service. I can say so much more regarding my experience, but I think I have said enough. Another amazing team representing Detroit and adding value to our wonderful city. So y'all know how I feel about my black businesses. I've always gone hard for them and I will continue to. But whew lawd the unprofessionalism. I've been in contact with this company Terri's Cakes Detroit for over a week trying to get a birthday cake made. My order was taken twice and I was told that it would be "no problem" for my birthday cake to be delivered for Saturday. I get a call a day before the event and am told I can't be accommodated with little to no explanation. All the while-I could have been patronizing another BLACK BUSINESS and spending my dollars there.. Do better.

If you want a fabulous cake delivered to your home, this is the place. We had a 6 inch vanilla pudding cake with buttercream frosting and fresh flowers. It was beautiful, moist., and absolutely delicious. I recommend it highly. Six inches will easily feed 10 to 12 people. Really easy to work with.

I recently sent an order of Hipster Cupcakes to a client in Detroit. I did not get a chance to taste them, but she did an amazing job of packaging the cupcakes and including the note to the client. I'm not from the area but wanted to order cupcakes for my daughter's birthday and have them delivered to Ascension St Johns where she works. They were delivered on time and my daughter & her co-workers couldn't have been happier. They were delicious! They especially liked the carrot cake ones. You won't be disappointed if you order from Terri's Bakery!

I absolutely LOVE her cupcakes!! They're moist from beginning to end. She is creative, open to, and welcoming of new ideas. She has created various flavor combinations for both me and my family for special occasions and otherwise. I'm hooked! I don't go ANY PLACE ELSE for cupcakes. Terri is my definite GO TO!!

We used Terri's Cakes for our wedding cakes. She was awesome to work with and even let us use her cake stands for a deposit fee. We did three separate cakes with different flavors, oreo, apple carrot, and strawberry. All the cakes were fantastic! Her frosting is nice and light, not like other thick buttercreams. I was in heaven on my wedding day! Thanks again!

"Terri's Cakes Detroit" is my absolute favorite place to order cakes and cupcakes. The carrot cake is OUTSTANDING!!! I also love the coconut/pineapple...... OMG!!! I've tried many flavors and they are all sooooo good.

Terri's did our wedding cupcakes and I couldn't have asked for a better bakery to work with. People were coming up to me at our wedding saying that they had eaten 4 cupcakes because they were so amazing! I couldn't recommend them more. They are extremely professional, reasonably priced and very tasty!

I needed a vegan flourless cake and Terri said she could do it! As promised I got the most moist and fluffiest chocolate cake with strawberries. Was a wonderful hit at my party- so good, we had no leftovers.
