"Terror Twilight is an all-day cafe that’s wholesome in more ways in one. Light streams in through huge Venetian-clad windows, and there’s cozy booth seating and plenty of greenery, both hanging from the ceiling and on the menu. Build-your-own bowls include options like brussels sprouts with honey mustard, edamame with chili oil, and sumac-spiced smashed avo. Yes, there are kale smoothies, but there’s also coconut cold-brew coffee—splash of rum optional." - ellen fraser

Loved the food here. Great Music, loved the vinyl collections . Staffs were very friendly and helped me to access with a wheelchair. I Had the sweet potato pancakes and cold brew coffee. Would highly recommend it.

We got here on a Monday morning. I'm sure it's a popular cafe normally, but it was very crowded, probably because some of the nearby cafes are closed on Mondays. We sat on the terrace, which was nice and sunny even though it was right next to a busy road! The vegan smashed avocado we ordered had a lot of avocado on it and was seasoned with a very Mexican flavor. It was delicious with a nice sour and chili flavor. The French fries that I ordered as recommended by the waiter were also delicious. There are other vegan options too, so I'd like to try them again.

My friend and I love exploring new cafés for breakfast and coffee, so we searched for some top-rated spots in Collingwood and found this gem. We decided to check it out, and it didn’t disappoint. The atmosphere is bright and spacious, with high ceilings and great ventilation, so even though it was busy when we visited, it didn’t feel crowded. The vinyl music playing in the background added a nice charm to the place. The food is reasonably priced for the quality, and the coffee was solid—definitely worth it. What stood out most was the aesthetic; the café is beautifully designed and perfect for photos. If you’re looking for a spot to enjoy breakfast or even lunch, this place is highly recommended!

We went with a group of 6 and tried a ton of items on the menu. The only thing that was actually worthwhile is the spicy green eggs (which are not spicy). I got the broth with mushrooms and rice noodles. The rice noodles were basically raw, the chicken broth was way too lemony. Didn't like the ham toastie, it was loaded up with way too much ham. The sourdough and poached eggs were fine. I actually enjoyed the cold brew chai latte.

Great atmosphere and fresh food! The brunch was yummy and healthy - prices are slightly high, but a great place to enjoy Collingwood - Fitzroy vibes. 🍳☕️✨ recommend the spicy green eggs!

My husband and I visited recently on a trip up from Hobart! We were treated by the lovely team behind the counter on arrival, we sat out in the courtyard and were served by more lovely team. The fresh juices were perfect for the hot sunny morning. We ordered the sweet potato pancakes and the chilli green eggs! Both so so good! The eggs were perfect savoury and had a nice bit of kick to them and the pancakes being gf was such a treat for myself who often doesn’t get that option back home! And to have gf pancakes that aren’t sickly sweet was perfect! With the balance of tart fruit on top and the malt crumb 👏🏼 Thank you everyone for a lovely experience

The service that we received was very bad. As a lot of coffee shops in Collingwood close at 3, Terror Twilight closing time is 4 PM, but seem like thay don’t wanna serve after 3 , so why don’t you close at 3 then. Me and my fam really don’t understand. We arrived at 3 and got the “you should go home by now” service. I looked the reviews all good reviews including the banana bread, other reviews said warm with honey, we got cold dry one (in this case may be we order the wrong one, but I would blame on the service cuz they seem very rush and not helpful at all not to mention this is our first time here and we literally order nicely with manner, only if they would have heated up the 14 dollars banana bread for us) the smoothies taste so so weird, the coffee was ok. But the price system is wild. Banana brand 13$in the display but 14.43 in the receipt then GST extra 10% (which lead me to expect it must be good and juicy like the reviews from food blogger said but no it wasn’t) it is not a problem for us to pay total 14.87 dollars for one slice on banana bread, but it was tooo bad for that price both the taste and service, don’t even mention we couldn’t finish the smoothies it was so weird. And we went there on Weekdays not weekends.

This cafe definitely hit the spot for me and my friends during our visit to Melbourne. The food was so homey and delightful. The flavours of the dishes were so fresh and flavourful. I would definitely go again and again. The price was a little stiff but that did not matter much because we were all so satisfied at the end. Would recommend to everyone and come back on my next trip.

Yelp
Best toastie in town. Service is always on point and friendly. Coffee is great. Music is eclectic and played from the record player. Record rotation is displayed on the wall. What more could you want?

Yelp
Now Terror Twilight is a pretty unusual name for this cafe, as it will fill you with delight, not Terror, and it's probably best to visit at the crack of dawn, to enjoy their great coffee - provided by Brunswick's Wide Open Road, and sample their gorgeous breakfast menu. We visited on one of their quieter days, and although it was almost empty when we arrived, about half the tables quickly filled up with patrons visiting for a mix of coffees and pastries (Also made by Wide Open Road), or breakfast. It's a simple, clean fit out and works well for laid back brunches or a calm environment for a business meeting. There are a range of tables, including two well suited for larger groups. The menu comes in roughly two parts- there's your more traditional breakfast options - free range eggs, avocado, pikelets, porridge, fritters etc. and then there's Bowls or Broths, which are definitely going to become Terror Twilight's trademark. There's a lot to love about them - they're healthy, full of flavour, fresh and totally on trend. Choosing them comes in 4 parts. Firstly, decided if you want a bowl or a broth, then choose base, add your sides, and a protein. I opted for haloumi, sweet potato, and tumeric + cumin tossed cauliflower in my bowl, with a base of broccoli and winter greens and chicken for my protein. My other half went for a chicken broth, with buckwheat noodles, a soft boiled egg and fresh bokchoy, enoki mushrooms, beanshoots and thai basil, adding salmon for his protein. I want to say the best thing about them is that they are so healthy, but it's not. It's either that they are so delicious, or that you get to build your own dish, so they are really versatile, or that they cater really well for dietary requirements - so you can please everyone! We also got to try the pikelets, which came with grilled plums, cherry and cardamom syrup, coconut yoghurt and hazelnut brittle. These were also vegan and were amazing, they were light and airy and really tasty. They were so easy to eat, I could have devoured about 100 of them. I enjoyed the syrup and the brittle, but I think a smaller fruit like blueberries or strawberries would have completed the delicate pancakes better. A quick final word on the coffee. My other half tried the batch which is a strong, but enjoyable brew - will really wake you up. You can customise this by adding extra shots too. We liked the healthy conscious, clean eats undertone of Terror Twilight. It's not in your face about it, but most of the menu is healthy, fresh food. It tastes great and really sets you up well for the day. It's a got a good all day, versatile menu, with plenty of options to keep you coming back.
