The 13 Best Restaurants & Bars In Dripping Springs 2024

"Sure, olive oil might not be the first thing that comes to mind when you think of Texas’ liquid gold, but the arid desert climate is actually the perfect setting for this giant Tuscan villa overlooking rows of olive groves. They do a couple of tours each day, so you can walk the grounds and find out what the difference is between extra virgin and refined olive oil (plus, it’s a nice break from all of the alcohol-based activities around town). They also have a bistro with indoor and outdoor seating, and a tasting room where you can enjoy their fresh-baked breads, wine, balsamic vinegar, and, surprise, olive oil." - nicolai mccrary, anne cruz

Stopped by Texas Hill Country Olive Company while on a trip to Dripping Springs, and it was such a lovely experience. The place has a cozy, welcoming atmosphere with super friendly staff who make you feel right at home. There’s a large selection of olive oils, balsamics, and gift items—and the tasting room is a must! I especially loved the lemon balsamic, paired with fresh bread. Everything was flavorful and unique. It’s the perfect little stop for food lovers or anyone looking for a local gem. Definitely recommend swinging by if you’re in Dripping Springs!

Truly impresses with its incredibly fresh offerings—especially the artisan avocado toast, tomato soup, and grilled cheese. Each bite bursts with flavor, enhanced by high-quality olive oil toppings that elevate the experience. The variety of vegetarian options is genuinely impressive, catering to diverse palates without compromising on taste. Don’t miss their house-made jams—they’re absolutely delicious. And if you’re looking to end on a sweet note, the blood orange ice cream is nothing short of heavenly. A must-visit spot for anyone who loves thoughtfully crafted food.

Google
Megan was a great olive oil/balsamic tasting host. We learned more than we ever thought possible about olive oils, their benefits and balsamic. This was an off the beaten path, impulsive stop that was well worth it. We are headed home with several bottles and many cooking ideas. The Bistro food was amazing, very flavorful and filling. Make sure to align your tasting tour with a meal time. The only downfall we could find is that they don't offer go 'ole country sweet tea ;) Pro tip.....if you are not used to shots of olive oil, have a soda ready for after you finish the tasting.

Google
Our visit to Texas Hill Country Olive Company was exceptional, highlighted by the warm hospitality of Tré, who guided us expertly through our first olive oil and balsamic vinegar tasting. Despite our late arrival just before closing, she generously took time to explain each tasting thoroughly, helping us discover favorites like the Barrel Aged Bourbon Reserve Balsamic and Jalapeño infused olive oil. The oils and vinegars here are superb—thick, rich, and bursting with remarkable flavor. The setting is beautiful, surrounded by their own olive groves, adding authenticity to the experience. We left with several bottles, eager to enjoy them in our travels. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates fine artisanal products and exceptional service. Thomas Corrao Stray Compass Life

Google
Great visit to Texas Hill Country. The grounds are beautiful and the Bistro was very good. Food well complimented by the olive oil. Very friendly and helpful staff. Worth the drive !

Google
Texas Hill Country Olive Company is an absolute must-visit. The journey there is as delightful as the destination, with stunning scenery and warm hospitality from the moment you arrive. The tasting tour was an eye-opening experience. I was shocked to learn the truth about most “extra virgin” olive oils in the US. Their infused olive oils are incredible, but it was their vinegars that truly blew me away. A lifelong balsamic hater, I was converted in a single sip. I can’t wait to explore their bistro next time. The tantalizing aromas and beautiful presentation of the food have me eagerly anticipating my return. I cannot wait to go back!

Google
OMG! It was such a lovely experience and Carrie made it extra special! She took her time to explain the tasting protocol and suggested some of her favorites. Amaizing!!!

Google
The “tour” starts with a 30 step walk away from the building explaining what happened to the trees because of horrible weather. Our guide was informative about olives and olive oil. We then went to the tasting which is when we figured out that 4 people must not have paid for the tour as there weren’t enough seatings for us. Our tour guide was a pro and set 4 more spaces and didn’t say a word. The flavors were excellent and i do hope the weather is more cooperative for them in the future so that they have olive trees to show.

Yelp
As we were leaving the area after a long weekend vacation, we went out of our way so we could stop to buy olive oil. We opted to do an olive oil tasting which was pretty cool. It is similar to a wine tasting where they describe the different oils and provided generous samples of each one. There's even directions on how to appropriately taste them. Every staff member was pleasant and super helpful. You can tell everyone loves their job. There is a cute cafe located in the store as well. The aroma from the kitchen was so delectable we decided to enjoy an early lunch, too. We ordered the BLT on focaccia and the 7-cheese grilled cheese sandwich both with a side green salad. The greens were amazing with an olive oil/balsamic vinegar dressing reminiscent of my Italian grandmas house growing up. It immediately invoked memories of the simple yet delicious salad made from greens she grew in her backyard garden. The grilled cheese was super cheesy with cheese encrusted on the outside and gooey cheese inside. Delightful! The BLT was also really good but in didn't outshine the grilled cheese, in my opinion. The focaccia was soft and the bacon was perfectly cooked. Not too crunchy but fully cooked with fresh greens and the most beautiful tomatoes. I don't even like tomatoes but they looked delicious and my husband agreed. Next time I will pass on the gelato. It wasn't as creamy as expected. Perhaps because they are pre-scooped into the cups and kept in the freezer for ease at ordering. We left with several bottles of olive oil, balsamic vinegar (Amazing!!) and some pickled mushrooms. We had an excellent afternoon here and highly recommend you stop by if in the area...or make a special trip like we did. It is worth it!

Yelp
I always forget this place is so close to me and so much more than just olive oil. The food is so good and served freshly made with an open kitchen that is very clean and runs smoothly! The I've oils are delicious, the vinegar is so good! They have basically any flavor you could imagine. We got a fig and a strawberry this time but have purchased many different flavors over the years. I highly recommend going and doing a sampling of the oils and vinegars to find your perfect blend!

Yelp
Our service was awful. Plan on ordering in a line at a counter from folks who need basic customer service training. I kept thinking "we drove an hour for this?" We've had better service from HEB. This place felt overpriced and the septic tanks were the deal killer. We don't plan on visiting again. Note to dog lovers: Don't bring your dogs unless you are willing to sit outside. They are not allowed inside.

Yelp
Friendly service. We found this place on google by chance when we were passing through the area. We had lunch at their bistro. The salad was fresh. We also picked up some oil and vinegar.

Yelp
Beautiful grounds whisk you away to a memorable olive oil tasting experience. Indoor and outdoor seating for small groups. Colorful, enticing display hosts a variety of olive oils and balsamic vinegars. Prices a bit high end, but different sizes are offered to make it affordable. Darling and classy goods in gift shop.

Yelp
I visited Texas Hill Country Olive Co. for a olive oil and balsamic vinegar tasting a few weeks ago when my husband I were in the area. I had done an olive oil tasting years ago, when I was studying abroad in Italy, so when I learned that Texas Hill Country Olive Co. did tastings, I had to stop by. Our tasting was great. The staff member who did our tasting began by showing us the olive grove (sadly still recovering after the 2021 freeze) and then took us back inside and gave our our prepared trays. Our tasting tray included four olive oils, 2 flavored/infused olive oils, and 4 balsamic vinegars (1 traditional and 3 flavored/infused, 2 of which were white balsamics), but you can also taste anything else they sell after you've finished your tasting tray. I don't buy a lot of infused olive oils or balsamic vinegars, but it was interesting to try their range of products. I did leave with a bottle of one of their olive oils, which I'm really excited to cook with. A lot of the information shared during the tasting was about the health benefits of olive oil, which I wasn't too interested in, but I can see that many people who do a tasting might be! They also shared a lot of recipe ideas (including recipe cards) for how to use their olive oils and balsamic vinegars. Depending on your level of knowledge of oils and cooking, you might learn a lot from the tasting! They also have a bistro (with a full menu for lunch) and a gourmet shop, where you can buy their olive oils and balsamic vinegars (in multiple sizes), wine, other goods made from olive oil, and cooking equipment and ingredients! The building is beautiful, and the service is top notch. It was a really fun activity after a few days of hiking and wine tastings in the area! I recommend it if you are interested in olive oils, enjoy tastings and want to try something new, or enjoy cooking! And don't forget you can visit the bistro or shop if the tasting isn't your cup of tea. I'm glad we were able to stop by and learn about and support this family-owned Texas business!

Yelp
Fantastic and highly recommended! We did the olive oil tasting and learned so much about olive oils. There is a variety of oils for salads, breads, etc. A Lot of options for gifts too. Texas Olive Oil is a definite stop for your trip. You can join their quarterly membership club.

Yelp
This was my first time going to Texas Hill Country Olive Co. and it was such a nice visit. I was pleasantly surprised by how warm and accommodating the staff was. They slotted us into the olive oil tour and tasting right when it started so we could join the fun. Although the guide said she was super new at giving tours (I actually think we were her first one), she still went out of her way to ensure she could answer all our questions about the olive oil-making process. We then went to the beautiful tasting room with large wooden tables and nice natural lighting to try some of their products. We got to try a surprising amount of olive oils poured out in little cups on a tray, and then we were welcome to try any number of other flavors not included if we asked for them. My only note is they gave us such a tiny amount of bread for trying the olive oils, so for the most part, you had to drink it to try it. While that may be the best way to experience the flavors, it was not the most pleasant experience. Nevertheless, I was blown away by the quality and flavor of the Super Greek olive oil and took home some other cool flavors as well. Awesome experience!

Yelp
We drove around visiting wineries in the area and this one was recommended by our friends! The sangria was super good and housemade with some special in house ingredients. The margarita flatbread was unique tasting and super good. The burrata was by far my favorite as the ingredients all tasted so fresh. The green housemade sauce on the plate was so good!! This is a must have. There is also a cute gift shop inside that had a lot of local goods being sold.

Yelp
On one side of the place, they have great olive oils, balsamic vinegars and other specialty items for your kitchen. We also found a nice coffee table book there. In the other side, there is a cafe. We didn't get a chance to eat there, but we wanted to. The menu looked great. I especially had me eye on a Mediterranean Bowl with farro, veggies and feta. But they also have flatbreads, bruchetta and burrata. It's a small, quaint place, more suited for some light daytime shopping and for lunch (rather than dinner). The staff was nice. Prices were a bit high ($13 for a small jar of artichoke hearts). But the quality was also very high.

Yelp
My go-to spot for local Texas olive oils and balsamic vinegars. They have a crazy variety of different flavors of both olive oil and balsamics, and offer two different olive oil tastings that you can purchase. One tasting with six flavors is $12, or you can try both tastings with twelve flavors for $20. if you visit when their Bistro is open between 10 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. every day, they also offer a variety of different lunch items. We tried the margherita pizza, which has their balsamic vinegar drizzled on top. I love Texas Hill Country Olive Co.'s blood orange infused olive oil, Hojiblanca extra virgin olive oil, super Greek extra virgin olive oil, and white lemon balsamic vinegar, but I haven't tried a flavor that I haven't liked. One of my favorite things about Texas Hill Country Olive Co. is that they have free recipe cards in their store for a variety of different beverages, salad dressings, and food items including their products. Everyone at their store is kind and attentive, and we even met co-founder John Gambini, who was so nice and super passionate about their company. If you don't have time to drive out to Dripping Springs, you can also purchase some of their olive oils and balsamic vinegars on Amazon, but I highly recommend adding Texas Hill Country Olive Co. to your itinerary the next time you visit Dripping Springs.

Yelp
Love the olive oils and vinegars. Selection is great, with tons of varieties and flavors. The gift shop also sells various salsas and other miscellaneous stuff that made it easy to shop for Christmas gifts. Our Yelp check in even came with a pair of wine flights for free (though the cashier didn't know about it)! Downside: the serving size for the olive oil and vinegar tasting was very small, and the last time I went there a few years back (ostensibly pre-COVID) they gave you free reign over the olive oil and vinegar samples to create your own interesting combinations. We left with 3 bottles of balsamic and a bottle of olive oil, as well as some towels.

Yelp
I would not recommend this product at all. There is no Pizzazz and no flavor. I was super excited because this is a Texas-born company. I ordered the Pineapple Balsamic Vinegar, and it was underwhelming--little to no pineapple flavor and no earthy tones either. I paid over $20 for this product and it was not worth it at all.

C J.

Yelp
I'm so happy this place is in Dripping Springs! Their olive oil is the best, and it's the only brand I use. The prices are reasonable, and they have a really cute little shop with other items. The food at the bistro is outstanding. The menu is limited, but there are enough choices to please almost everyone. My favorite is the sausage flatbread pizza with cauliflower crust. Everything is made with fresh ingredients and cooked to order. The service is outstanding. Everyone who works there is friendly and knowledgeable about the products they make, which include a huge selection of olive oils, from their own orchards and milled onsite, along with balsamic vinegars, bottled olives, and many other gourmet items. The olive grove tour and tasting is amazing. Be sure to take time for that, too!

Kevin C.

Yelp
Excellent experience because of the great service. Really cool products, a huge selection. We'll be back Both ladies on staff last Sunday were just incredible, the kind of people any service business would want representing their brand. Thanks for the great experience....
google avatar

Zo M.

Yelp
Wow, and wow!!! This is definitely an olive oil lovers paradise. We came for an olive oil and basalmic tasting on a Sunday. We were the 1st ones there and were able to do a wine flight with our Yelp check-ins .It was a cool, beautiful day, so we took our wine into the vineyard that was small but led to the chicken coup .It was a nice place to spend a few moments till Kim brought us to where the olive oil magic begins. Our olive oil tour guide Kim was interesting and informative of the process of making olive oil . We learned about how most olive oils were not pure and what it means to be a cold pressed vs. extra virgin olive oil. After a short description of the making of olive oil, we were able to do tastings of the olive oils and basalmics.

Yelp
This is a wonderful olive oil shop located in dripping Springs on Fitzhugh road. It has a wide variety of gifts and a wide assortment of infused olive oil's. It also serves a light lunch menu. If you're ever out in Driftwood, this is definitely a place you want to stop by. The staff is very friendly and the products are top-notch. Give it a try. Highly recommend.

Dolly N.

Yelp
This venue is gorgeous! I absolutely love their olive oil and definitely had to buy some when I saw they were restocking their freshly baked breads. I think I got like a ciabatta, immediately killed the bread on-site with a bottle of their olive oil and had to get a bag of focaccia to-go because I was sad the bread was gone! Amazing bread and equally delicious oil (so many varieties!) I'm pretty sure I've seen their oils during my trips to the farmers market as well. Best part about visiting this location is that they also have wine by the glass. I think the glass pictured was their sangria. It was delightful and if you go to the back room, you'll be greeted with the smells of their ovens baking their breads.
google avatar

Alexis C.

Yelp
We stopped in for an afternoon wine/olive oil/food stop. We did the olive oil flights which are poured for individuals so don't expect to go in there a split a tasting. We will be going back whenever we're driving through DS.
google avatar

Paige D.

Yelp
This was the best sangria I've ever had! Highly recommend. The flatbread was also really good. Had a nice outdoor seating area. I ended up buying the fig balsamic to take home and loved it as well. The women working at the front were really nice and helpful with suggestions and samples.
google avatar

Camie C.

Yelp
The oil itself was very very good! But I did not appreciate that at 4:50 when I got up to go buy $70 worth of olive oil it was obvious that they wanted us out of the store and cleared our table of the the very small amounts of oil originally given for the tastings that we bought ($20) that I had not even had a chance to try everything... pretty frustrating.
google avatar

Patty G.

Yelp
Food was good but but not worth the awful service. The rudest servers we have encounter in a while. Hate to pay to be mistreated!
google avatar

Sean M.

Yelp
My husband and I saw this on our drive to Pedernales SP. We always wanted a "winery" experience but neither of us like wine too much so this was the next best thing! Consider we both also love olive oil, it just made sense. We made a reservation for a mill tour and tasting. We arrived a little early and perused their gift shop. Lovely but quite expensive. The tour and tasting was about 45 min. I learned a lot! Tasting was my favorite. Their balsamics are unreal. After the tour, my husband and I split some food at their in house cafe. We got a pizza, a balsamic lemonade, and cookie, & gelato. All was delish - although the pizza could have been a liiiiittle hotter. But otherwise, delicious. We ended up getting a small bottle of olive oil and balsamic. As we were leaving, they have a shelf of bread. They had 2 stacks of rolls for $5! We snatched it up. Delicious! All in all I recommend this place; we had a great time.
google avatar

Sandee T.

Yelp
We called to confirm if they were open on Tuesday 26th and they said yes. So we drove we to find them closed. Another group of people also pulled up stating they also called and were told they were open. We stood outside and called them back only to be told they were closed! So can't give them any real stars since we didn't get in after a long drive to visit!
google avatar

Shannon G.

Yelp
Bought my favorite basil olive oil today and a small bottle of the garlic olive oil. I noticed a new flavor, cranberry and pear. But I didn't get it this time. I want to research a meal where that will be the perfect compliment. I just love this place.
google avatar

Kimberly C.

Yelp
A wonderful stop during our weekend stay in Dripping Springs . We ate lunch here, did the Olive tasting tour and shopped in their store. I highly recommend you stop by for lunch and the tasting. We had great service during our visit here. I loved the quaint elegant rustic atmosphere. It has both indoor and outdoor dining. Not to mention they have the best olive oils and balsamic. Too many to choose from. Will definitely be back!

William W.

Yelp
I didn't stop there to eat. I didn't stop there to buy any wine. I stopped there because I ran out of water. The lady that was running. The counter was very very nice and was just super super to let me fill my water bottle and even talk with me a couple of minutes and since I have a pre-disposition to diabetes I can't drink wine anymore, but she spoke to me and was so nice and I was so grateful thank you Texas Hill country Olive Company Thank you I'll give them five stars just for the service alone
google avatar

Roel Kristy V.

Yelp
Gorgeous venue. Incredibly delicious food from the huge fresh on site garden. Hummus made from goodness direct from this garden. Amazing olive oil! Enjoyed the oil tasting...so educational.
google avatar

Yelp
We have been to Texas Hill Country Olive Oil company several times now, and have always had great food and good wine. We also stock up on oil and vinegar each visit. Our favs are the Jalapeño Olive Oil and Traditional Balsamic Vinegar. In fact, just received another shipment! Deelish!
google avatar

Yelp
I returned to this favorite spot of mine. This time, my friends and I did the Olive Oil & Balsamic Vinegar tasting and tour...wow, I was in heaven. After the tour, we had lunch which was divinely delicious, then went shopping. By far the best Olive Oil I have had in years and the BESTEST Balsamic Vinegar you will ever taste, in my opinion. After lunch we shopped then got on the road. Since then, I joined the club and thrilled to say the shipment I received was as impressive as the ones I bought at the store location. I am not a huge Balsamic Vinegar person, but this is really out of this world. I have been having olive oil, balsamic vinegar and bread for dinner a couple of nights a week since I visited. Can't wait for the next visit.
google avatar

Ryna D.

Yelp
Well that was underwhelming.. I read about the olive farm and thought it was something unique so we stopped by for a visit. Unfortunately I was told by one of the ladies in the shop that they suffered a huge loss in their crop a few years ago and the olive grove is still recovering.. Which meant that there isn't much to see in terms of the olive trees. I did an olive oil tasting but that in itself wasn't that memorable either. It felt a bit like a wasted trip to be honest..
google avatar

Luigi B.

Yelp
One of the best places to enjoy and experience. I have been a member for a few years and just love going to visit. They have a great bistro, the food is fantastic, the chef is amazing, and the freshest ingredients. The folks who work there really make you feel welcome and very knowledgeable about their products. It is a great place to spend an afternoon, olive oil tasting, wine, excellent food, and as a member, great benefits.
google avatar

Michelle L.

Yelp
Beautiful property although the olive trees look like they didn't survive the snowpocypse. You can walk around the property. Staff are very friendly. Supposedly the owner picks the grapes and they have a few types of wine that gets made somewhere else. Can't tell you how it is since I didn't feel like purchasing a glass or bottle. They don't do wine tastings anymore although there is a sign out front. Their olive oil and balsamic vinegar was tasty on fresh bread. The flat bread was just that... flat. To a crisp. The margarita flavor meant some cheese and basil but not really any tomato flavor. Wouldn't recommend the flatbreads. It was a good idea but poorly executed.

Yelp
Great food and the nicest people in Texas! We saw this place in passing and decided to stop. Very glad we did. Would go back again and would not hesitate to re

Yelp
You know how back in the day folks had a milkman? Well, I wanted a piece of that nostalgia but don't drink milk. What I do consume a decent amount of, though, is olive oil, so I went about getting myself a mOOn (yes, I did just combine man and olive oil and no, I'm not ashamed of it). Really, I was low on olive oil and missed my window for my grocery delivery so took the opportunity to support local and explore Texas Hill Country Olive Co.'s offerings. The website is super easy to navigate and they have a wide variety of olive oil and vinegars, along with bundles of multiple if you don't know where to start. I received my order within a two-day window during the week from Xmas to NYE, without opting for any expedited shipment, so that was a lovely surprise. I am a fan of anything chili or jalapeno, so I opted for their jalapeno-infused OO, along with two standard olive oils just to have on hand. The 100ml bottles run $12 each, not including shipping (my 250ml that I usually get from Imperfect Produce is $4.79), so a pretty stark contrast in price. I used the jalapeno on popcorn the other night, as well as toasted bread, and it didn't really have any kick to it, which was disappointing. I was hoping that for the price, it would be a boombastic flavor ball, so I could justify its purchase and continue to patronize from my mOOn. I am so happy I could support local, and maybe if I visited the estate, I would have a better appreciation for the product, but as a stand alone, I most likely won't be ordering again.

Yelp
What a special spontaneous stop! We were thrilled from the moment we drove up into the parking lot. The view of olive trees covered in fruits for an upcoming harvest, the cute shop with must-buy oils and breads and cookies and the super friendly staff set us up for great expectations. And they surpassed them. The focaccia was light and airy and flavorful- a combo of traits i wasn't expecting in bread. The side salad with its basil olive oil lightly coating the freshest greens left me longing for more. So i bought the oil. We split some Flatbread and a muffuletta and both were scrumptious. I tried to talk my husband in going back the next day but we had to get on the road. Make this place a stop. It is kid friendly too. I never knew how beautiful olive trees were but it made me want to grow
google avatar

Chris W.

Yelp
I highly recommend trying their award winning olive oil set (my favorite is the verde) and different flavors of vinaigrettes: white lemon, prickly pear, fig, etc.! I bought several gift boxes for friends and colleagues; everyone was very excited to receive them. They also sell pesto artichokes in a glass jar packages with a cute wooden spreader. Shopping locally was a personal goal of mine this year. I thought this place was perfect! They gifted me a box of very delicious butter pecan cookies when they rang me up. I ate all of it in two mins... couldn't even remember what brand it was.

Yelp
Stumbled upon this nice place on our trip to a brewery. Stopped in for a look and was blown away with the seletions of olive oils and balsamic vinegars. What a big selection of infused flavors and mixtures. It's a beautiful shop with other items like aprons, cooking tools, books and more. The staff was friendly and offered tastings with bread. We purchased a set of four oils and a balsamic and also got a loaf of Focaccia bread. Y'all! This bread was amazing and fresh so of course we had to change the dinner menu at home to include these oils and bread. We didn't try the little cafe but the aroma was divine. That will be our next stop when we return to get more oils.

What a beautiful place just outside of Dripping Springs! Amazing views, fantastic food, friendly, knowledgeable staff...it's the perfect place to bring out of town guests or just as a fun afternoon road trip. Highly recommend the olive oil and balsamic vinegar tasting class!

Yelp
The place is really not worth visiting unless you're coming out for the tours. It's a gift shop where you can already buy mostly everything online to begin with. The restaurant menu is terribly overpriced for what you're getting on the plate. Think margherita pizza but at the size of a standard flour tortilla. My recommendation is to save your money, go straight to the olive oil section in the store, buy in bulk, go home and create your own tray of olive oils and eat it however way you want to enjoy it. The olive oils are exceptional by the way. Infused garlic, rosemary and sola stella were my favorite. If you're into balsamic, the strawberry infusion was a surprise crowd-pleaser in our house. 3/5 stars for the giftshop/restaurant location. If this was a review specifically for the olive oil, I would rate it much higher.

Yelp
I've visited this business with my son at first, and we took the tour. I learned a lot about olive trees and why they selected theirs. I also learned a lot about olive oils. We bought some olive oil from the attached store, and I have returned several time to buy more olive oil. I'll cook with store-bought olive oil, and use theirs as an ingredient or as a dip for fresh bread. Their oil is a little expensive but it's REALLY good. Obviously it's worth the price according to me. They also serve lunch, which has a limited menu but all items are EXCELLENT. Very fresh, many items highlighting their olive oil. A good value.

Yelp
In planning for our day trip, I thought about checking out an olive orchard. Years ago, I had read about Sandy Oaks olive orchard but never quite made it out to visit. On my search online, I found Texas Hill Country Olive Company in Dripping Springs. The timing might not have been the best since the arctic freeze affected the olive trees. We did see both mission and arbequina a year and a half old olive trees. Under the shade of the oak tree and a breeze, we sat to listen to Cara (one of the owners) share the history of how their family business started. With a brief visit with the resident chickens we headed indoors for the abridged version of the mill tour. Finally understood how extra virgin olive oil is made and not to ever buy light olive oil! After the olive orchard and mill tour, we joined the tasting tour ($10). There were so many varieties of olive oil and balsamic vinegar and flavor profiles similar to wine tasting. I loved getting to combine the balsamic vinegar with the olive oil and tasting with the bread and apple. It was fun shopping at the store. Goodness with making choices though! I knew I definitely wanted their olive-based products. Next time we'll have to stay and enjoy some lunch.

Yelp
This was our first visit to Texas Hill Country Olive company. The employees were very friendly and explained the ordering process. We were able to snag a couple rocking chairs on their front patio and enjoy the beautiful weather. The Salumi plate was one of the more interesting charcuterie boards I've ever tried. The cheeses were on point, some sharp and others soft with herbs and spices. It could have used a bit more jam and crackers overall. The view off the porch was worth the stop itself. Would definitely recommend trying when in the area and I'm sure a tour would be fun when the trees are in season. I was disappointed they didn't have olive oil tastings going on due to Covid, but I also understand.

Yelp
Oh, goodness, this place is VERY good. I had my very first Balsamic Strawberry Lemonade drink. Now, let that sink in...yeah, the most interesting of drinks. Two words for that refreshing & flavorful. We ordered the olive oil testing tray. That is some good olive oils & their balsamic vinegar is just as amazing. Our order consisted of veggie hummus, tomato basil soup, an Orchard Grilled Cheese & a Chicken Blt. Yes, my eyes are bigger than my stomach, but I had to taste everything. And, let me tell you, it was amazing & never disappointing. Everything was made with fresh quality ingredients where your stomach thanks you afterwards. Great staff & clean. Food is excellent.

Yelp
I don't understand this place. It is basically a gift shop and a small restaurant. I wonder where the olives come from to make their myriad of products? Doest seem like the olive tree orchard is producing enough olives for more than a few martinis! We were greeted kindly at the door but there is really nothing to see here. We were expecting an opportunity to sample some of the products before purchasing but no tastings were offered or on display. So we are back to the fact that you drove here to enter a gift shop. Hmmm p.s. I see after reading reviews thst perhaps large trees died last winter which is sad. It also appears that tastings are offered here but the kind lady who greeted us did not mention them sonperhaps they are scheduled or have been stopped for covid so check before you come so you aren't dissapointed like we were.

Yelp
First time to visit this Olive Farm. Very much like a vineyard, parking lot has a good view of the trees. The inside is part bar/restaurant on one side and retail/oil tasting on the other side. Arrived there about 10 minute until closing - Sandy stopped what she was doing and answered all my questions about olives....the growing, processing and selling of olive oil. She said they do tours but then walked us through the back to show where they bring in and process the olives - they grind every part of the olive - stems, pits etc. They have 72 hours from pick to package. She also walked me to the orchard to show me the trees and how they pick... Anyway. Please say hi to Sandy when you visit and buy their Texas Select EVOO - really smooth. Nice clean building - true look of the Texas Hill Country. I will be back.

Yelp
We stopped here for lunch during a girls' wine tasting trip, and it was great! We all enjoyed our food and the gift shop finds! I bought some awesome lotion that smells great and feels amazing, a great apron, and some olive oil and spices as gifts, which were well-loved. Definitely stop by for the food and shopping when you have the chance!

Yelp
This place is a gem. We live nearby and always enjoy taking an afternoon vacation to Tuscany for lunch! The food is seasonal and fresh, fresh, fresh. Paul utilizes some kind of fairy dust to make the BEST bread, cookies and desserts you could hope to find. His chocolate chip and lemon/rosemary/currant cookies are pure magic. And the olive oil...it's a staple in our home and frequently gifted. The ambiance is beautiful, especially since the addition of new dining furniture. And the staff is so friendly. Always excellent service. My only note to Management: The Pinot Grigio is...well....vinegar. Time to let that one pass on to the wine grave and make something more like your Trebbiano.
