I haven't been to this hood in a verrrry long time. Major changes in the area is an understatement, but the sense of community seems to still remain. This place has a neighborhood homey vibe. Service is good, but they're not gonna overdo it, they know they make good food, and you'll know it when you're done eating. The bar is lively, seems like there are regulars, and they don't eff up the overall vibe.
I had:
Musaman Curry Chicken. Niiice. Warm spicy, with a great creamy sauce. With a side of jasmine rice. Perfect for a chilly day, but not crazy spicy to annoy your tastebuds for anything else you order. Enough to share, but maybe you won't, I don't judge.
Curry Puffs were guuud. Nice, light, but filling. Dipping sauce was on point. I tried to share, but I may have taken more than my share.
Tofu Tod, I'm only guessing here, cuz it was triangular, slight crisp, and green and tasty AF. My friend ordered them and I was stunned at the flavor, but totally forgot to ask what it was.
NY Panang Duck. This was ordered by my friend, but dang, I wish I ordered one to go, it was guuud too. Succulent sliced duck, with crispy skin edges, and the sauce was the perfect flavor companion. I stopped eating my curry to get another bite of this dish.
I would definitely go back based on the sauces alone. I'm assuming they run a good bar, and the customers seem happy with the food, there were several couples and singles in their Eating Zone, no words spoken. Takeout if you need to, but I recommend goin in, having a seat and getting your food hot from the kitchen. Every time that door opened from the kitchen, the smells of goodnisss paraded past your table. Yums!
