Always had great experiences with this place. Would always recommend to all my coworkers until today. As you see I had a roach in my Thai Ice Tea.

Small eat in area, I was there for 30 minutes around lunch time and it seems like more of a take out only place. There were a few tables to eat in but it was a bit crowded. Pad Thai with tofu was very flavorful. The lunch special is an awesome deal: $11 for an entree, soup or salad, and an appetizer!

Walked in today, 5 months pregnant alongside my 3.5 year old who loves this place, and became extremely disappointed at the way we treated by the counterperson. We weren't even greeted to order our meal. Just stared at as an indirect way of telling me if I were ready to place an hour. Politely asked the counterperson if she could not include onions in our meal since I have a picky eater on my hands. They insisted they normally don't modify their fried rice but would make an exception for us since my LO was standing nearby. I asked for red sweet sauce on the side which I was then told that the rice is already cooked with the sauce and that they typically DO NOT provide special sauces on the side (unless for a fee). I've been spending money here for nearly three years and this was the first that I had heard of what appeared to be lies. During this entire scenario, my young child smiled and continued to say "Hi" to the counterperson who completely ignored her. Utterly disgusted at their service. DO NOT recommend especially for families and neighbors. So unfortunate that businesses think they can just appear in neighborhoods and not treat locals with great and quality service/care. NOT KID-FREINDLY!!! NOT NEIGHBORHOOD FRIENDLY!!!

A delightful, no frills diner that serves excellent food. I just started a new job in the neighborhood, and Thai BKK was recommended by one of my coworkers, and it did not disappoint. I decided to play it safe and get the Pad Thai (original, I know), with a spring roll and salad. The pad Thai was flavorful, and I thought the portion size was generous, while the spring roll and salad were delightfully adequate. I will definitely be eating here again, and you won't go wrong giving this place a try.

Had the lunch special here - the red curry with tofu and the lychee juice were great! The spring roll and Tom yum soup I didn't like too much. Nice little spot to eat a quick, yummy bite!

Quick authentic Thai eateries with nice-favor food near Metro North Harlem stop. Small eat in area with clean self serve cold water. Sitting area can use an upgrade. Great price lunch special and they offer cash discount. Available for delivery via many apps including Uber eats. Nice helpful cashier!

After tasting other Pad Thai dishes in the neighborhood, this place by far is my favorite. I order it with Tofu and I’m never disappointed. Paired with a squeeze of lime juice and fresh bean sprouts 👌🏼 delicious.

Takeout only for now due to Covid. I had a green curry and spring rolls. A bit salty but it was pretty ok. I will try some other dishes next time.

You really can't beat the lunch special. $12 for a spring roll, soup, and an entrée. Not much seating but great for takeout.

Service, food, cleanliness and portion sizes seem to have gone way downhill in the last year. It used to be decent Thai take out; nothing special but it's currently the only option in this part of East Harlem. There's technically one 4-top table you could eat at, but it's designed to be mostly delivery and takeout. The AC doesn't really work and the area between the table and window is used for storage. There's a dedicated vegan section of menu, which is helpful for avoiding fish sauce and shrimp paste, but doesn't mention curry or noodle dishes (which the staff said were vegan if ordered with veg/tofu, omitting any egg in noodle dishes). I've ordered "no fish sauce" for nearly two years, but today the pad Thai without fish sauce came as an inedible pile of noodles soaked in clear sugar syrup. I called the restaurant to see if there had been a mistake and the lady insisted that's how they make it without fish sauce.... I said it was a completely different dish, and when I ordered she hadn't indicated that omitting fish sauce would be an issue. We would have happily just ordered coming else instead of paying $17 for a pile of sweet, mushy rice noodles. Will not return.

I was really excited to find a great Thai place close by. I brought my sisters here when they visited and we found the food to be great regardless of the nasty counter service. I returned a few times after that on my own and usually just ignored the incredibly nasty counter people and unfriendly nature of the place because I was just there to pick up my food and go; not to make friends although I was hoping it would become a regular spot for me. One night after work I decided to go by on my way home and pick up some food. The counter person exuded the same usual miserable energy which is sad to see. They are such young people and are so angry and unpleasant. I am really sorry for them having such unhappiness. We never know what someone is going through and so I try to spread a positive vibe trying to bring some light. However this particular evening the counter person got my order wrong even though I was extremely clear and went over it a few times. The last straw for me was when she obnoxiously started accusing me of making the mistake. She kept on with it until finally I asked that the whole order be cancelled as I did not want this energy in my food. I certainly thought I was being shown that this was not a place for me at all. I left and did not go back again. A long while passed and a sister was visiting. She loves Thai and so I decided to give them another chance. The counter person had the same miserable, unfriendly vibe and would not answer my questions directly about vegan needs. It's super simple as they say they have vegan choices. She was just awful really...so mean and rude saying repeatedly "there is no fish oil added" each time I asked in a different way. We ordered finally and brought our food home as even though there were 2 new tables that my sister wanted to sit at, the counter person said no and made up some bizarre excuse. The negative energy was palpable and honestly I felt like leaving again as I don't want this vibration in my food. The gentleman at the counter seems to be kinder, but mostly just stands and watches the nasty counter people act out their unhappiness. I'm sorry he has to deal with that. My sister liked her food and I was moderately okay with my curry until I got to the bottom of my rice container and found A MEDIUM SIZED DEAD ROACH UNDER ALL THE RICE. Needless to say I am now completely done with this place. I tried to connect with Joy who is listed as the manager her on Yelp via IG but no reply. I thought I would just go ahead and write the review here in the hopes that it will help others in some way know they are not the reason for what they are experiencing when walking in to this place. I wish them well and hope for their healing truly. I will never go back.

It's a dingy little place with tasty Thai food. Two tables with no table service. I spent $35 on two dishes and asked for a cup of water. The counterperson bitterly refused and would only sell me a bottle. Overall, a bad experience and I won't return.

Mean customer service and food had no Thai flavor. Its a cheap in the go meal if you're in a time crunch

Solid Thai takeout option in East Harlem. We enjoyed their pas see ew and Thai iced tea. The sauce on the garlic basil tofu was delicious with a nice kick. It was especially yummy over rice. The tofu itself and the accompanying veggies were pretty middle of the road. Will definitely be back for the convenience, Thai Iced Tea and Pad see ew!

The food is very flavorful, I love the service here although the business itself don't have dine in seats. It's still a restaurant with food to die for. It's very authentic and original and it's true Thai food. The atmosphere of this place is very kind and energetic they serve really fast and it's worth every dollar.

Very good Thai food with amazingly fast delivery throughout Harlem. We rarely go a month without ordering from there

This is one of my favorite go-to delivery places! The food is always delicious and delivery is super quick through Door Dash. The drunken noodles are awesome and not too greasy. I also always get papaya salad or larb, both so fresh and healthy. I had the Thai chicken basil rice with fried egg recently and felt like I was eating a home cooked meal. I always struggle finding chive dumplings at Thai restaurants in NYC but this place had them and made them perfectly! It's essentially a thick chive pancake cut into triangle bites that are soft and chewy on the inside and crispy on the outside. The tangy sweet sauce it comes with also perfectly compliments it.

I genuinely appreciate this place I've been ordering from here for over a year now and it's absolutely amazing. I highly recommend the crab fried rice and the pineapple fried rice. The service is very professional and they cook fast.

I was getting home one evening, and I was in the mood for some good food. I noticed this place on UberEats, and liked how their salmon filet sounded. It came in different spicy levels, of which I picked the spiciest. I waited the half-hour or so for the food to get to my place, thinking that I'd receive an amazing meal that evening. I was wrong. The salmon came with some veggies, and the white rice in its own container. I combined them both, and dug in. The salmon was nowhere near spicy, just overly salted. The taste itself was disgusting. The white rice also had way too much salt added, which made for a very unpleasant first bites. I didn't get past those bites, and just threw it all away. What little of this horrible food I did eat sat horribly in my stomach. Thankfully, with about a gallon of water, I was able to feel better in 2-hours time. I've since reported this situation to UberEats, and I will never order from this place again.

Basing this review on my experience with Thai BKK's delivery. I have been ordering from Thai BKK for the past couple of years and never had any problems with my food and the time delivery takes. The food is pretty standard. Is it amazing, no? But, it will meet your Thai craving needs. My typical go to's are the drunk noodles, the crispy calamari, the tom kha soup, and the thai wings. The dumplings sometimes can be hit or miss. I've had more misses than hits with the dumplings. I'll more than likely will order from Thai BKK in the future.

Not as expected. Dry buns on bass. Old tasting duck, super dry. Will probably not try again. That's it. My son like his soup but I wasn't a fan.

I really enjoyed my order. Pad Thai was made perfectly, I hate when it's dry, and this one was very saucy. Spring rolls were also a hit, with their dipping sauce.

We love this spot for delivery, especially for the lunch special. It's affordable, and so incredibly tasty. We usually get the drunken noodle and either the papaya salad or the mango salad, but we've never been disappointed by anything that we've ordered from here.

Came here for a quick lunch. Think it's a ma and pa restaurant which I absolutely support. Got a pad see ew dinner portion and it was worth the value considering the huge size for like 10$. Taste and all was expected for the price. It hit the spot and I was glad to have found what I was craving when I was in east Harlem.

Amazing authentic Thai spot tucked away in Harlem!! I am a repeat customer because it always exceeds expectations. Grab their lunch for more bang for your buck (generous portion entree, salad, and a dumpling/friend roll). We ordered the S2. Pad Se Ew and F5. Crab Meat Fried Rice and had enough left over for a second meal!

So happy that a Thai food place opened literally two doors down from my boyfriends apartment! Such a rare find in east Harlem. The food was made incredibly quickly - about ten minutes! The staff was friendly (ordered inside rather than on Eat24). The smell of the food was delicious. We got crabmeat dumplings which are more like shumai. They were small, but there was six of them and they were delicious. We also got shrimp chicken dumplings which were good and had some nice flavor in the dumpling mix. I got pad see ew. It I was your classic dish with a good portion and great taste! The noodles could have maybe been a little harder but not a big deal! My boyfriend got Pad Thai with chicken and he wolfed down the meal. He said it was really good! I will definitely be ordering from here again to try more of the items on the menu! Glad this place opened up. It's really affordable. I recommend all the east Harlem peeps to hit this up immediately!

Meh... don't know what to say here other than everything I've tried is mediocre. just as mediocre as ANY other thai place in Harlem. I'd rather spend a little extra on delivery to get a decent thai restaurant out of the neighborhood to have more authentic and yummier food.

Love their pad see ews. The drinks are also freaking good too!! The lychee tea is amazing

Was so excited when this business opened. As a vegetarian it's hard to find Thai establishments that offer Mock Duck Pad Thai. Then one night on a date night, I discovered the tail of a crab or lobster in my pad thai. Made me sick for days. I still throw up thinking about it. Will never eat or order from them again.

I ordered delivery via seamless. The delivery was really slow and by the time the food came, it was all already cold. I usually don't complain if my food arrives warm instead of hot but this was straight up cold. The delivery guy also gave me a hard time. He called to ask for my address but ended up hanging up on me. A few mins later he called me again, this time saying that he was downstairs. The food overall was not good. The Tom yum soup was cold and so salty. The pepper over powered all the other flavors. The steamed dumpling was rubbery and had a weird after taste, didn't taste fresh. The fried ones were also not good and soggy. Pad Thai was all clumped together and just tasted okay.

I have been here a few times and I think it's pretty good. This place is very small with not a lot of room to eat inside but I normally just pickup and take it with me. The food is pretty good. I have been to a few other Thai restaurants that are a little more of a sit down restaurants. This place is still pretty good. I definitely suggest going for pickup or use their delivery. Sorry I was hungry and forgot to take a pic before eating. I only took a pic of the containers after I had eaten some.

Ordered the pad thai w/ chicken, garlic and black pepper w/ chicken, clear soup w/ vegetables, and iced coffee. Pad thai w/ chicken: 5/5. Noodles were flavorful, chicken and tofu had the right taste and texture, and there were a small decently sized amount of bean sprouts and green onions. Garlic and black pepper w/ chicken: 4/5. Ordered medium, and was a bit spicy personally, but overall tasty. Clear soup w/ vegetables: 3/5. Slightly bland, but refreshing. Iced coffee: 4/5. Slightly sweet, and had enough caffeine to get me going.

Had this on a Friday night in Harlem. I've got to say the chicken drunken noodles were fantastic. Couldn't have asked for a more perfectly cooked noodle. Next time I'm here I'm gonna have to try the pineapple fried rice since I've heard nothing but pleasantries. You won't be disappointed with this one!

This was my firdt time ordering from this place. I ordered Thai Fried Rice with Shrimp and I received chicken instead. I paid a dollar extra on my bento box, and even though it was only a dollar I still wanted shrimp. I know Thai food is spicy and the soup was good to me, my poor coworker couldn't handle the super spicy soup. I gave this spot 3 stars because I don't like that sickness they did with my meal. I might go again or not. I would rather try a different Thai spot.

Thai BKK is a small Thai restaurant that has minimal seating but definitely sells most of their food using delivery systems such as Seamless, Uber Eats, etc. It is definitely superior in quality than most take-out restaurants and offers a more refined taste to asian food that you wouldn't find in cheaper, faster restaurants. With that said, they are slightly pricy for the type of restaurant that they are and they are not necessarily the best value when you acknowledge the amount of food you get for the price. Their menu is a perfect size: it has a wide range of main dishes that are categorized as entrees, curries, noodles, fried rice, and Chef' specials. They also have vegan options, bento boxes, salads, vegetarian appetizer, and traditional thai drinks that I definitely plan to try in the future. I ordered the garlic and black pepper entree: chicken with fresh garlic, white pepper in brown garlic lime sauce. It was served with white rice and was delicious. The vegetables were fresh from what I saw when ordering and the chicken tasted amazing without being dry. Again, they offer a great taste with their dishes but lack in quantity of meat and vegetables alongside more white rice than needed. I would definitely go back to try other dishes and even their drinks.

This a cute little spot in east harlem. The place is bare bones but the food is pretty good. Has the usual thai options, dont expect anything fancy but definitely good thai. Has a small seating area. Not ideal for seating as it's cold inside a well despite the small heater near the window.

I ordered via Grubhub and found a bug in my food. Totally ruined my appetite although the food look okay otherwise. Avoid.

This restaurant WAS my favorite go to. Food is still good most times. It's been hit or miss lately. When ordering by phone, the woman who answers is rude when you complain about prices changing every week.. the menu says one thing and they say another. They tell you online prices are correct, put will put a menu in your bag when they deliver that has incorrect prices... that's not right!! So be careful and let them know to do better... or find another place to eat /order from. I will

Food is really good, but they can't package drinks to save their lives. They throw plastic cups into paper bags with only 1 strip of tape. Spills every single time, and will not send replacement drinks.

My go to Thai food! I love their spring rolls, their basil fried rice and my husband usually gets the Thai Ice Tea. I eat here a lot and they always deliver the food hot and tasty. The best Thai food in Harlem!

Drunken Noodles are the BEST My husband and I recently tried this place on Uber Eats. Wow! They exceeded our expectations. We got a great size portion and the quality was amazing. The spice is great and the shrimp drunken noodles are delicious.

We ordered twice from this place when we first moved out here. The chicken satay is amazing. My partner really loved it. I'm a huge fan of the salads they have here. Can't wait to go and dine in!

The first time I ate from this place was on Jan. 30 2021. My daughter and her friends asked me if I wanted something to eat, I told them I wanted steamed veg dumplings. The dumplings were so tender and delicious. So I went back today and ordered veg dumplings and spring rolls.

I ordered delivery through Seamless. When I got my "BASIL fried rice," it was clear that there was absolutely NO basil. I called the restaurant and the lady on the phone insisted that there was basil and that they cut it very small. Yeah right. Look at this and tell me again it's there. They must cut it so small that it's basically invisible!!! Don't lie to me on the phone when I'm the one sitting right here looking at it!!

Staff is nice. Service is fast. Fresh summer rolls were ordered with "extra herbs please" (as grub hub allows comments). The closest thing to herbs was a wad of lettuce. Rice paper wrapper was leathery and tough. I called to ask about them and they said "everything is made fresh. Those are the herbs we use". If that's the case then meh. Drunken noodles and pad see ew were ok but underwhelming. Both too sweet. Tofu was fried type. Tough and chewy FYI.

One of our favorite places for delivery. Always good. Great noodle dishes and curries, and we appreciate that they have simple veggie sides on the menu to complement the less healthy dishes.

I have ordered here a few times. tried the Crispy calamaris today, $5.96 order, tiny portion and so soggy I just threw it away. I am not a picky eater, but if you charge someone 6 dollars on a dish. this is unacceptable . I took a picture of it if needed.

Wonderful take out experience from Thai BKK in East Harlem through UberEATS. It came very quickly and was warm! We got the pad see ew with chicken and the pad kee mao (drunken noodles) with tofu (extra spicy). They were both very very good! Portions could have been a little bigger, but otherwise no complaints there. We got the dumplings and spring rolls for an appetizer. Dumplings were ok but the spring rolls were good! The Thai iced tea, however, was AMAZING!! One of the bests I've ever had (and I've tried a lot of Thai iced teas over the years).

We ordered for delivery and everything was exactly how we wanted it. The food arrived on time and wasn't late at all. I ordered the Drunken Noodles w/ Shrimp and my friends got the pineapple fried rice. The drunken noodles were SO good! I ordered them extra spicy and it was so perfect! The flavors were amazing and I enjoyed it to the fullest! They weren't cheap with the shrimp which was also great. Pineapple friend rice is also good from what my friends told me. I wasn't able to try it, I was too busy with my noodles, LOL. The price was also reasonable. Our total for two came out to $21.00 which isn't bad for two entree's.

Food is hot, flavorful and they deliver quickly. I got salmon curry, massaman, and fried rice. The rice was awesome as was the massaman. I got green Thai curry salmon and it was ok. Not great but not bad. Lots of veggies. And I liked the salmon

Wanted to try something different. I ordered the chicken Pad Thai. The food was not great. Would not order from them again.

I was hanging out at my boyfriend's house and it was getting late and I didn't feel like going outside for food. I was in the mood for some Thai food and looked in uber eats and saw this place pop up. I decided to give it a try. I ordered the wings, Thai tea, and the fried rice with chicken. The food came on time and was hot. The food itself tasted pretty good. The wings were delicious and juicy and the Thai tea wasn't bad at all. However the chicken fried rice I've had better. Overall this spot is great if you're craving for Thai food! I wouldn't mind ordering from here again. My stomach was satisfied. And the leftovers tasted sooooo good!

Excellent lunch special. They also offer a discount if you pay with cash. And generous sized portions! Nothing to complain about. Service is friendly and prompt. HIGHLY recommend

I'm not an avid reviewer, but thought I'd share my experience for those interested. I've ordered delivery from this restaurant many a time and expressed that when I called the restaurant to seek a resolution to my horrible experience today. I've always ordered one item in particular and today it was inedible, causing both my friend and I to become violently ill. When I asked to speak with a manager about the issue, I was told they were unavailable and that I would receive a call back. After closing hour expired, I called back and was told my request for a refund was denied due to the fact that I called in too late about the issue (two hours after I had eaten) and that they had been busy but meant to call back. Too bad we were busy vomiting. In conclusion, I can't bring myself to order from here again knowing that they aren't at all worried when a regular customer expresses such disgust with an order. No, I do not want you to remake the food and deliver it again............I told you your food made me feel ill...............

I so wanted to like this place, especially since I was starving! I ordered through Uber Eats (that's a whole other horror story) and the delivery took about 2 hours to arrive. Naturally, after such a long wait the food was cold as ice. I could live with that, but the food was bland. The tamarind salmon was moist,but surprisingly, didn't have any flavor. I think it was because the broccoli that was placed in the same container absorbed all of liquid. The broccoli was so saturated with the watery tamarind sauce, I had to toss it. The spring rolls saved the day! They're not overly tasty or delicious, but they definitely stave off hunger pains in a pinch. Maybe I'll give them another try, but dining in the restaurant as opposed to delivery. Fingers crossed for better tasting food.
