Traditional Thai specialties are served in a casual space with an open kitchen.
"Thai Farm Kitchen is a bright, colorful restaurant with a really nice outdoor seating area, and it’s a great spot for a lowkey date night in the neighborhood. The tom yum soup and papaya salad here are both especially good, and don’t shy away from ordering things like brussels sprouts, because local produce is at the heart of the menu here." - carina finn koeppicus
"Tom Yum Noodle Soup Saying that we’re “into” Thai Farm Kitchen’s tom yum noodle soup would be like saying we “recognize” Pharrell and Chad Hugo as a record producing duo. In other words, we cherish the day we became aware of this dish. Its amped up fish broth starts off sour, becomes spicy, and finishes off sweet like a dramedy series on HBO. There are a few large fish balls and lots of thin rice noodles soaking in this pool of bright flavor, and while we like the ground pork in it, you can also choose shrimp or chicken. No matter how close you live to this Kensington spot, this tom yum noodle soup should be on your bucket list for great NYC soup dishes." - nikko duren
"The tom yum soup at Thai Farm Kitchen deserves its own Netflix series or at least a thoughtful speech given by someone in tuxedo. Order a bowl, and get the pad thai with crispy calamari and tamarind-glazed shrimp. This exceptional Thai spot just south of Prospect Park also has everything from a whole steamed fish to half a roast chicken, and it’s currently doing both delivery and takeout. Order directly from their website, or call 347-533-9368." - hannah albertine, bryan kim

"Thai Farm Kitchen isn't just an essential part of South Brooklyn's food scene, it's one of our all-time favorite Thai restaurants in the city, full stop. The Church Ave. space is colorful and bright, and while you'll probably see a bunch of neighborhood regulars eating large entrees like catfish red curry here, the real star of the menu at this Kensington spot is the tom yum soup. We found ourselves mourning the inevitable end of Thai Farm Kitchen’s tom yum soup before we could even see the bottom of the bowl. How often does soup cause premature bereavement? Not very, which is why this one - first sour, then spicy, then sweet - deserves a special commemorative plaque. Sit underneath the rattan fish nets at this casual spot, and order food until you can’t see your table. Don’t miss the pad thai - theirs is loaded with tamarind-glazed shrimp and calamari that even your seafood-hesitant friends will value deeply." - Nikko Duren
