Atmosphere was nice for being a cute nice place. Service was really nice as well, and the food was good. One star off only because personally, the price was a bit high for me- for example, most Thai restaurants that I go to, when ordering curry, Rice is included. That is not the case for this restaurant, you have to pay an extra dollar just to get Rice with your curry; kinda strange. Perhaps it’s the location that’s why food is a bit pricier? I think I would understand if it was five star curry but this is not five star curry. It’s a delicious curry, but it’s not so crazy Good where I would pay an extra dollar just to eat it with Rice. Overall 4/5.

Google
The food was good, but the atmosphere was pretty normal and cozy. It seemed like they were handling a lot of online orders, so they weren’t paying much attention to dine-in customers. The food was okay overall—I feel we’ve had better Thai food in the DFW area. But I did love the pork dumplings.

Our go to spot anytime for Thai food. THE BEST IN Dallas. Always fresh, made right in front of you. So flavorful and natural eats. Every dish is amazing go try anything on the menu.

I went with my girlfriend and we loved the quaint atmosphere. We ordered, wonton soup, spring rolls, pad Thai Chicken, Ginger Chicken and everything was fantastic!

A solid if unspectacular Thai lunch spot. Went here with a friend for lunch. Small restaurant next to a couple others with parking in the back. Turn on Reagan into the lot. Full on a Wed afternoon which speaks to good business. Has lunch specials on the weekdays! $13 for a selected entree from a list as well as Tom Yum soup. Not a huge deal but prob $2 off plus soup. I got the Thai fried rice with chicken and also got Thai tea. Flavor wasn't too strong which was a welcome surprise given my experience at other Thai places, but it was almost too plain. Thai tea was a little on the strong side and bitter for me as well. Portions were good. Service was decently fast. Not a bad lunch option if you're craving for Thai and in the area.

Visited this place & it was amazing! My bf LOVED the Tom Kha Soup and the Moo Ping (Thai pork skewers). The soup was creamy & a slight hint of lemon (I think). Very creamy & refreshing. The pork skewers (Moo Ping) came with delicious sticky rice & a vinegar-y sauce. A little goes a long was in my opinion. I got the spring rolls which came with a different kind of vinaigrette-type sauce (light yellow colored) & a thicker dark sauce similar to Hosin but with a twist is the best I can describe it. I also got the Drunken Noodle with Pork & no bell pepper. LOTS of onion, which I love. But if you don't, be sure to say no onion. The server was very nice & busy, but attentive to the best of her ability. The atmosphere is quiet & cozy. Will definitely be returning. ^_^

Google
Good food, clean place, fair price, close between 3-5 pm. Drunken noodles were really really good. Peanut sauce tastes different but good too. Overall a nice experience for early dinner.

Google
The place is really small and if you’re looking for ambience then this is not the place for you. However the food was very unique I would say authentic in flavors. We were vegetarian, eat cheese but no eggs or meat. We ordered Yellow Curry and Vege Delight. We were surprised by the portion it looked small but was very very filling. We were super hungry and that’s why didn’t take any pictures. I have a teenager son who has a pretty good appetite. Still had left overs. A good option is take out and enjoy at home. Food was spicy medium spicy was also good spicy for us, if you are a white person do not order you might not like it that spicy. We are Indians and like to eat very spicy so we managed.

Yelp
So little hole in the wall, mom and pop shop! I had the Japanese dumplings, an order of the Ton Ki Soup and an order of the drunken noodles with Shrimp. I had both the soup and the noodles cooked to three stars of heat! The food was fresh and tasted amazing! Dallas's best kept secret!

Yelp
Ordered takeout last week after it was on our list to check out for a while. We both ordered the same thing drunken noodles with beef spice level 3. Spice was good a bit spicy but not too bad exactly what we were looking for. The beef was okay I feel sometimes it can be soo tender in these dishes and this missed the mark just a smidge on that. But overall the dishes were tasty I would definetly come back! It was easy to order online and we got updates via email as the order was finished

Yelp
A great spot for when you're craving Thai! Service is good, the ambiance was intimate but other customers who had been getting rowdy were a distraction. I appreciated the manager on duty talking to the group in question and asking them to quiet down or leave. I ordered beef yellow curry and was not disappointed. The flavors was on point and the rice a great texture, not too moist and not too dry. Well done Thai Lotus!

Yelp
After reading some of the stellar reviews, we stopped into Thai Lotus for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. The dining area was cozy and comfortable in a middle-of-the-road sort of way, which was fine. The menu did not hold any surprises and we ordered several dishes. I'd have to say overall the dishes were "meh" with nothing particularly wonderful about any of them. On the downside, I found our chilly spring rolls to be very gummy and sticky compared to what we were used to. The green curry had plentiful, quality ingredients but was a bit overseasoned and unfortunately, the curry itself was very watery. The Thai government has gone to great lengths to train chefs serving Thai cuisine to ensure a standard is followed for typical dishes but this food didn't meet that standard. Maybe it was just an off day looking at the other reviews but we did not have a happy experience.

Yelp
I'm not sure why it's taken me this long to write a review! We come here at least twice a month! The food is always fresh, quality ingredients, and the Thai iced coffee hits every time!!! Walking in, you're welcomed warmly and with a smile! We love sitting at the bar and chatting with the owner, she is the sweetest and her employees are just as sweet! Everyone is always so inviting which really makes it even that much better when you get your food! Normally I would get something sweet or citrusy, but this time decided to venture out...I was not disappointed and highly impressed! I got the Tangerine chicken house special and it was the perfect blend of sweet and tangy! The portion was perfect!

Yelp
Had lunch with friends today at Thai Lotus. The place is pretty small it self, we were lucky to catch a table. I'm sure they do a lot of Togo orders. The Food was great and tastes really good. I had the lettuce wraps and some Thai Dumplings. I definitely enjoy the food there. My co workers both are Pat Thai. They also enjoyed their food.. The parking is a bit complicated. The service was great and polite. We will definitely try it again.

Yelp
Tried Thai Lotus Kitchen yesterday for the first time, I had a great time. The staff were so attentive and friendly. The food came out very fast. I ordered the veggie spring rolls and chicken yellow curry. That curry definitely had some spice. I will definitely be back to try more.

Yelp
The best soup you can order when you're not feeling well (deliver or DoorDash of course). Honestly, the best comfort food in Oak Lawn. Everything on the menu is so good. Tom Kha soup, egg rolls, mango dessert rice, all their curry, etc. BEST hole in the wall and incredibly kind staff. Been coming here for years, it hits every time! Especially before a bar crawl or after a night out on the strip or a movie night

Yelp
Alright DFW foodies. Here's the sitch and my opinion that matters to me. Well, I guess it matters to you too if you took the time to read my soon to be story time. But here's a shot to the food and the atmosphere that explains my home away from home. I was a baby gay; aka a gayby. I had moved down to DFW YEARS ago (let's not ask how old I am. That's rude of you.) and I was craving my mother's food. Am I Thai? Yes. Can I eat like a Thai person? Also, yes. But can I handle the heat? Absolutely the hell, not. I can't and it makes my grandma's cry tears of the deepest sadness that make the oceans hellaciously salty like beaches in Thailand. Any and everything is super delicious here so gift them a shot. But remember; it's a small mom and pop place. It gets busy fast. Onto the menu Curr(y)ies. Red is slightly sweeter with fruitier tones. Green is savory. Masaman is peanut. Yellow is meat and potatoes. Blend them with your protein and see what you prefer but I love red with their fried fish. Noods. Phat- see - ew is the sweet soy noodles. I ask it to be savory and less sweet. Such a solid go to. Drunken noodles are best eaten when you're drunk! I also ask for the crispy pork because of flavor and texture with an up charge. Try one and try it all. They're my home away from home that have never disappointed me in 13 years.

Yelp
Typical run of the mill good Thai food. Nothing special about it. I would order it again. A decent portion of food given. Food arrived hot and fresh.

Yelp
Just outstanding. I have been craving Green Curry for a while now and we found this hidden gem in the heart of the gaybourhood in Dallas. The food was authentic and perfectly prepared. So much flavour. The service of the waitress was outstanding and made us feel so welcome. Cozy and small and yet so inviting. Definitely worth a visit.

Yelp
Ordered to go for dinner. Tangerine chicken was bland and the sauce had an off taste to it. I threw half of it away. I also got the crab dumplings which were delicious. I guess I should have known not to order orange chicken at a Thai place :(

Heather L.

Yelp
This is my first time in Dallas and decided needed to have a try at the city's Thai food. Luckily I found Thai Lotus. The food was incredible. I had the panang curry chicken (3 ) and my husband has drunken noodles with shrimp (3). Both dishes had plenty of meat and a good balance of veggies. My husband also devoured an order of mangos and sticky rice. The staff was supper friendly. Sorry no pics because we ate every bit of our food.

Yelp
Such a cute little place, someone earlier in the reviews said you would miss it if you weren't looking for it and that is very true. Service is immediate, friendly and leaves nothing to complain about. They offer good recommendations and pretty spot on descriptions about all of their food. The curries are out of this world! I had the massaman, yellow and pineapple curry across three visits and all three were phenomenal. The pad Thai was good but would say that I was skimped on the meat a little bit (otherwise nothing to complain about). This would be and is definitely a place to come back to when in need of quick, yet consistently solid

Yelp
A solid three. Tried dumplings and three entrees, none really stellar. But we did think it was hot and fresh. Service was reasonably pleasant

Yelp
My other half and I were in the mood to try something new. We took to yelp and found Thai Lotus Kitchen. It's located on Oaklawn so parking can be a nightmare if it's busy. The restaurant is small but cozy! Has music playing to make for an enjoyable meal. We were greeted and seated immediately! The servers were attentive and fantastic! We ordered: Thai Dumplings (3/5): they came steaming hot. Paired with the dipping sauce it was one note but over all they were pretty good. Crab Cream Cheese (4/5): these were pockets of cheesy crabby goodness. Paired with the sweet Thai chili sauce it was a match made in heaven. Yellow & Green curry (5/5): my second favorite dish. The curry was flavorful, full of meat and hot! Will definitely order again. Thai Tea (5/5): it was so good that I ordered a second one! Perfectly sweet. Mango sticky rice (5/5): it was so good we ordered another one! One of the best I've tried in Dallas! If you like mango sticky rice or like coconut & Mango, YOU MUST TRY THIS! Will be coming back!

Yelp
My friends and I visited at 8:00pm on a Saturday night and we were the only ones inside. They are a smaller establishment and if it was busier, it may have been harder for us to find seating. The location around the area is not the most safe feeling. In fact this establishment had a disheveled gentlemen right next to the front door sleeping with his belongings scattered all over. I felt uneasy stepping around him to enter the front door. We ordered 4 dishes to split across 5 of us and we found the portion size great. I enjoyed their pad Thai and pad see ew the most. Their entrees were around $13-$14 per dish which was not bad. The flavors were good and I would try coming back earlier in the day. I only wished I checked in on Yelp earlier because they have a free Thai tea deal when you check in.

Yelp
This place was incredibly delicious. There was not a dish we had that wasn't delicious. Spring rolls were crispy, fresh, and filled with veggies. Loved our soup selections because you could taste every herb. We had some amazing dishes including the pad Thai, red curry, and some delicious lettuce wraps. The staff was so friendly and they were very attentive to our needs. The restaurant is in a great location near deep ellum and there were plenty of shops around that you can patronize after eating. We will definitely be back, since every dish we had was extremely delicious. You could taste every flavor and they used fresh ingredients.

Yelp
The food here is decent but the customer service was terrible!!! We came in and ordered pad woonsen and Thai fried rice and Thai tea to go. While waiting on the food, we drank the Thai tea and when the food came out, we gave our card to pay for the food. While waiting for the card to be processed, we opened the food to taste it. We were starving but the food was steaming hot, so we only had about 3-4bites of each dish. I found the pad woonsen to be way too salty. Thought about saying something to the staff but decided not to, since we were short on time and the fried rice was fine & we could mix the two to make it more edible. As we pack our things and head out, a staff member called us over and said the next time you come and you order to go, please don't eat in the restaurant because then we have to wipe it up. I didn't respond, because I just needed to leave since we were short on time, but I was annoyed by that patronizing comment. Correct me if I'm wrong but my understanding is that we have a right to taste our food before we leave and taking a few bites is not "eating" as we typically consider eating. As you can see in the picture, almost all the food was still left in the container by the time we got in the car. As far as clean up, we didn't spill anything there, and even if we did, we would've cleaned it up. They prob want to clean up after every customer leaves the table, which is a good thing. But wiping a clean table with a cloth takes all of 10secs at most, much shorter than the time it took for her to call us over and make the unnecessarily rude comment. My only thought was that we look very young for our age so that may have given her more courage to speak to us in that disrespectful tone, but I don't care what age anyone is, you don't speak to your guests/customers that way! We were kind enough not to demand them to remake the pad woonsen so that it's not over flavored with soy sauce and barely edible. The least they could do is be polite. We are not locals, and just visiting Dallas, but if we came back, we certainly would not return to this place! They were not hospitable and were condescending to their guests/customers. The only reason they get the two stars is because if the decent food and that it was piping hot when they gave it to us. Otherwise, It was dirty outside the restaurant, with trash laying around the sidewalk. To their credit, it was much cleaner inside. However, their attitude towards their customers need much improvement!

Ty W.

Yelp
Good Thai food. Reasonable prices and good portion sizes. What else could you want? We carried out so I can't comment on service or ambiences. It's a little place so I'd guess you'd need to get there early if you want to sit.

Michael J.

Yelp
I have eaten here since they opened. The food is, and always has been, amazing. Dine in of delivery just the same. Small menu makes it even better. Enough variety but a commitment to delicious and well prepared. Please don't change anything. It is all about great food. Plus such friendly people.

Tara G.

Yelp
DO NOT EAT HERE. They have roaches. Please see the the picture. I had eaten my food and saw this crawling on their counter and the roach was carrying eggs.

Yelp
WOW WOW WOW WOW We are always searching for an exceptionally above the mark Thai restaurant and let me say, WE HAVE FOUND IT!!!!! This little Diamond is very small restaurant which seats about 25 to 30 people but the food was out of this world. I'm usually on a search for mind blowing Red Curry. The red curry here is amazing but OH MY GOD the Pad Thai it absolutely the BEST I have ever had!!! My son is new to Thai Cuisine and he can not wait to revisit and have it again. I will definitely be ordering the Pad Thai next time I come. My husband got the Drunken Noodle and he loved it. He said the spices were right on point! The service was wonderful too. Very small so we had exceptional service. Always making sure we had everything we needed without waiting. They have the radio on but it wasn't to loud. If you are searching for amazing Thai food visit here. You will not be disappointed!!!

Ricky S.

Yelp
While visiting Dallas this past weekend we decided to order at this restaurant via Doordash and take food to go for the road. Reaching at the restaurant we decided we will eat a little at the restaurant. We asked if we could get a table to eat some there. The people working straight up refused to provide a table despite a lot of tables being unoccupied. I then asked for some water and the people started looking at each other and one lady working there made a comment. If you order food to go we don't provide anything here since you did not pay for the services. I am still wondering what services she was talking about. If it was about tip she could simply have asked. I was a paying customer and I paid full price for the food I got. Being an avid traveler. I have traveled a lot in Asian countries including Thailand. I was under the impression that Asian people are very hospitable and do have basic common sense and decency. Simply refusing to give someone a basic human need as simple as water which wouldn't even cost you anything extra just shows how morally and ethically distraught you guys are and you just lack the basic human respect and courtesy. A big fat SHAME on you for being in the hospitality industry and lacking the core basics of being a human being.

Beverly S.

Yelp
Lunch was delicious. The tum yum soup was incredible!! Have been here before and definitely will come back again.

Yelp
We have eaten at Thai Lotus for more years than we can remember, the staff is allways spot on friendly and never misses a thing, we have gotten to know the oner some what ( I do not want to miss spell her name so I won't mention it) she is very personable and always comes to our table to say hi and makes us feel so welcomed. As for the food, never an issue, never had anything we did not like, we have our regular order items hard to venture from our select items, but everyone's food around us always looks amazing as well. Thai Lotus is a true stable in Oaklawn and it is a true local business, it is a must try. Joey and Jimmy

Yelp
This is a little gym off of Oaklawn Avenue, blink and you will miss it! I was looking for a simple lunch option and was craving Thai food, so I found Thai Lotus kitchen. The employees immediately seated me and served me a drink and the menu. The lunch special options were plentiful and very affordable. Indoor seating is limited, but comfortable and intimate. I will definitely come here again for a quick Thai lunch!

Yelp
Thai Lotus Kitchen is a small establishment with big flavors. I've been here multiple times, and they are always consistent. My favorite is the drunken noodles. I have had many drunken noodles from many places. I can safely say that this is one of my favorites. The chilly spring rolls were a refreshing appetizer before the main course. It's a hidden gem in Oak Lawn. Pro tip: if you ask for the spiciest they can do 5/5, they will deliver (hot, hot, hot)
google avatar

Hutch's R.

Yelp
We walked in around 7:30pm and had no wait for a party of 4. We got the Tom Kha Soup and Chicken Satay for appetizers. For main course we tried the chicken yellow curry, red curry, pad see-ew. For desert, the mango sticky rice. Highlights: Tom Kha Soup, Chicken Pad See-Ew, Yellow Curry. The server Eve was very nice and helpful with our experience. Nice little place in Dallas, Texas.

Yelp
I love a good hole in the wall. This place is a small Thai restaurant in between two larger restaurants so if you blink you might miss it. I visited with a friend for a late dinner, we were seated right away and brought water while we looked at the menu. I appreciate having a physical menu that also has some pictures. We started with the coconut shrimp and chilly spring rolls. They came out nice and hot. The coconut shrimp had a really nice batter that gave them a good crunch and they weren't overloaded with coconut flakes; it was just right. The chilly spring rolls were packed with flavor and had a creamy dipping sauce that complimented them well. For our entrees we enjoyed the yellow curry with chicken and the combination fried rice. The yellow curry was a spice level 2 and it wasn't spicy to the point of feeling it, but it definitely added to the powerful flavor of the curry. It was nice and creamy with that hint of sweetness. I also really like the combination fried rice, it comes with chicken, beef and shrimp. The flavor was mild, but in a good way because it enhanced the flavor of the meats. They give you a lot of meat as well and I loved that the shrimp were large. Excellent place and the servers were super chill, but attentive. Can't wait to go back!

Harrison K.

Yelp
There was some great Thai food near my old place in Northwest Arkansas. Since moving back to Dallas, this is the only place that compares. I've had the pad see ew, the drunken noodles, and the pad woon sen. All very good, but the drunken noodles are probably my favorite. I wish they had lad na on the menu though. I haven't had much of a chance to interact with staff, but they're always efficient. The space is small, but I would love to dine in sometime as its always packed at mealtimes. Definitely my go to thai food.

John S.

Yelp
I remember living on kings rd and ordering here all the time. Since I moved away I haven't had it but being nearby I decided to have for dinner and it's just as amazing as I remember. Would definitely recommend the pad see ewe.
google avatar

Cat N.

Yelp
I've been in twice, got red curry both times but first time tasted better. Thai tea was good! Red curry is bamboo shoot, bell pepper, and a choice of meat or tofu. I love the flavor and portion is average. Everyone is so nice here!
google avatar

Roma B.

Yelp
Got take-out from this restaurant many times. Hole in the wall place on Oak Lawn. Ordered the basil fried rice, pad see-ew, Thai dumpling, and crispy shrimp rolls. Loved all the dishes, except the basil fried rice. The rice was a bit too mushy and couldn't really taste the basil.

Kathryn P.

Yelp
We love this place! Nancy is the most attentive and intuitive waitress! Always yummy food and great service. It's small inside, but so tasty! We've been a number of times. Everyone so nice and food delivered quickly. We get summer rolls, Tom yum soup with chicken and pad ke mow with chicken! We don't even have to look at menu....nancy knows our order! A must try!

Yelp
pretty sure this is currently my fav Thai Curry in DTX. Great to go. Great vibes inside. Nothing we've ordered has ever disappointed us.

Jacob F.

Yelp
An excellent first experience in every way. The service was remarkable, with kind and attentive staff. When I ordered the Pad Thai with Chicken, they asked if I liked spice; I said just a little and they prepared it with the perfect amount of kick. The Thai Dumplings were also very good. Even as I was putting my leftovers in to-go containers, they were right there to place them securely in a bag, making sure to place the heavier item at the bottom. I look forward to going back to try out more of the authentic and delicious dishes. Note- There is limited seating, so larger groups may be challenging.

Elizabeth L.

Yelp
Ordered food from here on a Sunday afternoon via UberEats. First time trying this place out. I eat Thai food pretty often - my family is from Singapore, so I'm pretty versed in many southeast Asian food. Everything from here tasted weird. The Pineapple fried rice had too much curry. The pad Thai was too sour, yet bland. The pad see ew just tasted strange. I tried eating as much as I could considering I ordered three dishes to try out. I ended up eating my 5 day old Mac & cheese than this because everything tasted wrong. The only reason why the rating isn't 1 star is because the food wasn't gross, just not authentic. Overall, I would not recommend & I would not come back.
google avatar

S K.

Yelp
This is my go-to Thai food spot when I'm craving fried rice! Delicious and well-priced. Would definitely recommend. There's a free parking lot behind the restaurant btw
google avatar

Yelp
I love this place. It was the ultimate, cozy meal for a chilly winter day. The service is excellent and the food was perfect. I ordered the green curry with medium spice (3/5). It was exactly what I wanted -- great coconut milk flavor with a good amount of spice. I'm definitely making this a go-to for my curry fix! Also, finish with the mango sticky rice -- you won't regret it. So sooo good.
google avatar

Yelp
Decided to have lunch here with an old colleague. The place is small but there are definitely spots to sit inside if you felt like dining in. The service was pretty prompt, granted we were the first ones there for lunch as well. I tried the Thai iced tea (a dollar more without ice which makes me chuckle a little). Their menu is typical of a Thai place with a few lunch specials. I would've imagined more options on the lunch specials, but it was limited more than I've seen at other places. The lunch special came with a TomYum soup. I decided to try the cashew nut with chicken since a $4 up charge on a lunch portion for shrimp seemed absurd. The food was flavorful but my angst is that no where does the menu say there is celery in the item. I cannot stand celery and it kinda ruined my experience. Even the spice level was definitely not up to par. Unlike most Thai places, they also didn't have the variety of spice tray to help. However, colleague ordered the pad Thai with chicken and he was satisfied with it. My guess is this place can be a hit or miss so choose at your own risk.

Lovejit K.

Yelp
I am from California where they have some pretty good thai places. I wouldn't even consider their Pad Thai actual Pad Thai. It was 70 percent noodles that's tasted like ketchup and some meat and sprouts. Disappointed.

Scott J.

Yelp
Dining area is very low key, but the food and service are on point. Went with a group of around 15 people, everyone loved what they got. The Pad se eew and Gyoza were as good as any I have had. If you are looking for a chill place with amazing food, check it out.

Yelp
So good, great service, couldn't wait sorry started eating, hubby had the crispy pork it's gone :).

Yelp
Okay, upon revisiting, I feel I may have been a little overcritical last time. So here it goes again! My friend got us food for take out. I got the *surprise!* green curry, and I asked for mild with beef again. It was still spicy, but not as spicy as I remembered last time. I had some left over for my next dinner! We also got the drunken noodles and steamed Thai dumplings. The drunken noodles were good, but nothing to write home about. I did enjoy the dumplings though! Would recommend as an appetizer!
google avatar

Cara W.

Yelp
I ordered a mild Pad Thai (2/5 spice level for reference) from Thai Lotus kitchen and it was way too spicy. I am used to spicy food, and often enjoy it, but on this particular day I needed something that showcased the flavors of the Pad Thai instead of overshadowing it with Thai hot spice. I often find certain restaurants make Pad Thai too spicy with a sriracha flavor, which really ruins the meal for me, because I cannot enjoy the meal. Unfortunately, I was not prepared for the spice level, so I cannot say I will come back.

Yelp
I ordered (for delivery) Tom Kha (spicy +shrimp) and paid the up charge. It came as a simple broth with mushrooms...that's it!! For $15 no less!! What a rip off. Just no more. I've had way better with the additions. Is a joke. Beyond bland. And the Pad Thai was glop.

Yelp
So they have a pretty sweet spring roll deal for takeout, which comes in handy for last minute, late night cravings. Other than that, the food itself was your standard Thai offerings, we stayed in our lane mostly with pad thais, thai iced teas, all thai everything, etc etc.
