Thai Pastry Restaurant

We had delivered. It was fast. Portions are decent. I had beef Pad see ew and the other was chicken pineapple fried rice. The crab raccoons were great in texture, crispy perfection, and the filling wasn’t cheated.

We stopped here after a show, and even after getting back to our hotel 30 minutes later our food was still piping hot! We ordered the curry fried rice (beef), red curry, dumplings, and mango mousse pie. Ohmygod. Hands down the best dumplings I’ve ever had in my life, didn’t even need the sauce and I’m not a person who says that l lightly I’m a saucy girl. The curry and the curry fried rice were out of this world. Perfectly seasoned and exploding with flavor, the meat was delicious as were the veggies. The mango mousse pie was incredible so light and fluffy and a melt in your mouth with the perfect crust. Im not from around here but I will definitely make it a point to come back here the next time I’m in town. Good prices too especially for the quality and amount of food you get.

If you are not white then I would seriously reconsider coming here! Paying money just to get disrespected is not worth it. I noticed another review mentioning similar issues and unfortunately my experience confirmed it. The server was extremely rude rolling their eyes and showing attitude. I understand service jobs can be tiring and I have worked in similar settings but that does not justify outright disrespect basic manners are the bare minimum. The food was also disappointing I ordered mango sticky rice and it was basically just sweetened condensed milk with outdated mango that looked and tasted rotten. The boba drink was way too sweet and unenjoyable. What made the experience worse was the clear difference in treatment white customers sitting next to us were given water without even asking while we were not offered any at all. Bad food plus bad attitude made this experience unacceptable the amount of disrespect and apparent racism is shocking

Food was good and close to flavors that I remeber from Thailand. We had Thai fried rice (forgot the #) along with #10 Boat Noodle and #12 Yen Tah Foh. Flavor is neutral or you can ask for it to not be too spicy if you like it mild. We like ours with some added condiments. The food was served In a big enough bowl and the portions were generous. Plenty of Thai dessert choices and preserved fruits and even an ice cream selection but not Thai style. We ordered the macaroons today for dessert and was not dissapointed! Mango and sticky rice when it's in season is also a good choice!

Ordered the chicken curry fried rice. Got freaked out about leaving my car parked out of my sight, so I asked if they could switch to to-go and they happily obliged. 10/10 even tasted good in my car. Thai coffee tiramisu is also fantastic.

AMAZING! I got the eggplant basil with tofu and my boyfriend got the yellow curry with chicken. It was so good. I meant to take pictures before but it was so good we forgot. Also our waitress was amazing and all of the staff were so kind. Would definitely recommend!!!

This was my first time having Thai food and no regrets at all! The place is spacious and so clean you could eat off the floor! The staff is absolutely wonderful and very hospitable. The food is really good, good prices, and definitely shareable! I recommend the seafood soup it is so hearty and if you are a spicy food lover, this is your dish!

Bad and bad, their customer service is really bad, very sassy and rude, and also i feels like they talk shit about us too but in their language. The food is really bad so we cannot finish it. Also, we just ask them for napkins while, they’re bringing us hot sauce and they just got really mad at us for asking.

Went in to this cute spot while shopping around in Argyle. Seemed new and stood out. I walked in hoping they would have a good selection for pastries. They did have a few premade items like cheesecake, macaroons, and a few others. Sadly no freshly baked goods that are not refrigerated. When walking in I was the only one so the service seemed slow. I was able to look at the pastries and called over staff to get my pastry pick. I would love to come again to try their Thai food or order out.

I DO Not WANT TO EVEN LEAVE A REVIEW. The server was so rude, not accommodating when I tried to explain my disagreement in their tai shrimp roll. ONE SHRIMP CUT UP INTO TWO PIECES. In the entire two spring roll. UGGGGGG. Will never return. SHAME IN YOU!

Excellent red curry soup. Spicy with a hint of fish sauce. Their pad Thai is great as well, however the portion was in the shier side

This is a new restaurant on Argyle! It even smelled brand new on the inside. The restaurant seated us fairly quickly for how busy they were! Being a Thai restaurant, they had tons of vegetarian options. I ordered the Kee Mao (drunken noodles) and they were great! The dish already came with a lot of veggies, so I opted for tofu. I liked that they fried and cut up the tofu before adding it to the dish to give it extra texture. The dish isn't too spicy unless you happen to eat a pepper, which I did of course. We ordered crab rangoon for the table. It was yummy, very peppery, and the dipping sauce paired well. One of my friends ordered kao soi. I loved the broth and it reminded me of a panang curry - slighty sweet, spicy, and nutty. My other friend ordered the roasted duck curry. She said she loved it, and it came with a lot of duck!

Congrats on your new location! I've been a very long time fan of Thai Pastry, including hosting my birthday party here pre-pandemic. New location allows for lots of foot traffic! I was there opening night and it was packed the entire time. Please be patient with the service, they're acclimating to an entirely new level of patronage, as they've appeared to be mostly takeout since the pandemic at their old location. Good quality is still excellent! Pad Thai has a lot of garnish, which I love. Prices are very affordable. Good luck!!!! I'm so happy for this business and their upgraded space :)

I ordered the Pad Thai and crab rangoons since that's my usual first order at any Thai restaurant. The noodles didn't have much flavor at all and I thought the container size was small. The crab rangoons didn't come with any sauce, the filling was bland, and I don't think they were deep fried long enough as some of the wonton skin was raw. If it was cheap, I'd be a little more forgiving on this review but it was actually pretty high price for the 2 items, even considering recent inflation prices.

It started off with my craving for Shrimp Spring Rolls. I stopped going to their Broadway location YEARS ago due to the quality of their food. This restaurant use to be my go to for Panang Curry, Pad Thai, and several Thai dishes. It's late afternoon and I talked my friend into going for Thai food. Thought I'd give them another try since they moved. Maybe they changed cooks and got fresher foods. We tell the waitress what we wanted. She explains all the Shrimp Rolls. We get the fried Thai Bananas (I've seen many videos on the popularity), Shrimp Spring Rolls, and Tom Yum Soup. First of all the roll was rolled sloppy. The rice paper was not tight at all. I'm halfway done with my Shrimp Roll and notice no SHRIMP. I look at the roll closely and see one shrimp at the end of the roll. My friend ate her shrimp portion and realized there were no more shrimp. Asked the waitress and she begins to argue that this is "Thai version". They take one shrimp and slice it in half. Each roll gets half of one shrimp. I'm explaining this is not what I expected. Well, the arguing continued on her end. She went and got the ANGRY COOK! She didn't like that we were complaining. They didn't feel as though I should not pay for the roll. Why would I pay this high price for 1/2 shrimp in my Shrimp Spring Roll. The Fried Bananas - OH, WELL! Not the recipe I've seen and envisioned tasting. So, my daughter wanted to try one of their dishes. I ask for a to go order. The waitress states she won't take any more orders from me. I complain too much!!!! Now, I didn't say anything about the bananas or the soup that tasted like old meat. I questioned her abrupt and loud behavior. She continued that she wouldn't take an order from me. I may not like the dish. I told her she's displaying horrible behavior as an employee. She just whisked off! I go to pay the bill. All of them are staring at me from the kitchen. I'd suggest to check out another Thai restaurant. Maybe if you're a friend of the clan you'd get better service and food. Maybe they should put photos for each dish. I've never ordered a Shrimp Spring Roll with 1/2 of one shrimp. Curious as to the Thai style, I researched and found if they use ONE shrimp, the roll is half the size of a whole roll. Very disappointed!!! I'd NEVER return. It's unfortunate that they took this move and still have horrible food. This may be a younger family group. Although the quality of the food on Broadway went down, the staff was always professional and courteous! I was very pleased we were their only customers. This was quite embarrassing. I still left a tip! Because that's who I am. My daughter works in the restaurant industry. This is a new place with pleasant furnishings.

I've not been to Thai Pastry in years, but our group of three recently ate there on a Saturday for a late lunch / early dinner. Since it was not terribly busy, our server was very attentive in answering our questions about their numerous menu items and filling our water glasses. We ate family style as we shared three different entrees. I think we all agreed that we liked the sesame chicken the best. The battered pieces of sesame chicken had the perfect level of crispiness and were served with steamed broccoli and carrots and a bowl of white rice. The roast duck with rice and veggies was a close second in our unofficial tasting contest. The ba-mee noodles with BBQ pork were not bad, but somehow did not register with our collective taste buds. We asked for the noodles "dry" but perhaps the ensemble may have been more successful as a bowl of soup. Overall, we enjoyed our variety of food at Thai Pastry.

I've been to this place at least twice, including back at Thai Pastry's old location. Most recently, when we went, my friend loved the bamee noodles and I loved the kao soi. They were busy but still attentive and I appreciated the service. The crab rangoons are also delicious. I will definitely be back again to try other things.

This place has been on my list of restaurants to try ever since it opened up last summer. Located in the middle of Asia on Argyle, it's surrounded by half a dozen other Thai shops, but it definitely stands out. The inside is the coolest aesthetic, complete with an indore pavilion because why not. It's also byob, so depending on the night, you might run into a very loud wedding party getting absolutely sloshed. Vibes. I've only been there once though, so maybe that actually happens every time. Please let me know if you run into them too! The servers were also super helpful in walking me through the menu and giving me suggestions based on my likes and dislikes. I never saw the same waiter twice though, which I honestly loved; it felt like I got to know the entire staff by the end of the night. The dish we finally settled on was the khoa soi, and wow wow wow. It's a curry noodle dish with chicken, lime cilantro, and extra crispy noodles piled on top. Would 100% recommend and I'll 100% be back

Catered an event that I attended and it was fantastic! Papaya salad was perfect amount of spicy and tangy. Everything else was as expected.

What a disappointment, The food here was so bad. We ordered: pad Thai, drunk noodles, beef and Chinese broccoli, pineapple fried rice, and papaya salad. All of it was so bad. The veggies were overcooked and mushy. The rice was flavorless and the pineapple tasted like it had started to ferment and had a slightly alcohol taste to it. The drunk noodles were truly gross with bad quality vegetables and dry over cooked chicken The only thing that we all liked was the papaya salad and even that was mid Won't order again

Ordered Hainan chicken and omg it is the worst I've ever seen. You call a boiled chicken breast hainan chicken? It is literally a scam, avoid this place.....

Came here on Sunday to try their boat noodles. I decided to order that and drunken noodles to go. The cost of the drunken noodles were $10.95, and the boat noodles were $11.95. How both items rang up to $33.11 doesn't add up...anywho, the food was okay but not good enough to come back.

I'll give this place 2 stars. I'm not a fan of their pad Thai at all. I've had better pad Thai.

Ew. This place actually used to be good. I first tasted pad see ew here, and came back here since they moved to argyle street. Geez, the food is not good anymore. The service was non existent. The waitress had an attitude and looked like she hated just being there. The pad Thai was full of bean sprouts with barely any noodles. The place itself is nice. But I'll never go back there and I suggest you all don't go either.

We stopped here before a concert and it was so good. The crab rangoons were top 5 I've ever had. The pad Thai was great as well.

AMAZING NEW LOCATION!!! We had the delicious pumpkin and eggplant basil entree with tofu and black bean sauce. Soaked the sauce up with some delicious, buttery roti! Pad See Ew was also very good. The check came with complimentary Madeline pastries! What an upgrade. We'll be back!

I've been loving Thai food for a while and I gotta say, the Boat Noodles hit different at this place, Thai Patry & Restaurant. A majors chefs kiss to the fresh flavors, additionally, the broth and meat were fantastic. Excited to try other dishes from here now!

This place is bomb. Authentic Thai fare nestled in the Southeast asian neighborhood of Argyle. I ordered the pumpkin and eggplant curry, which was a delicious vegetarian dish which I'll definitely be ordering again. Additionally, they have a whole side of the restaurant that serves as a Thai bakery and snack shop. There are so many different types of snacks there - I picked up some salmon skins last week - to pastries, I got some really lovely cream puffs that same week. They also sell ice cream by the pint/cup in a wide selection of Asian flavors. I personally love the lychee, and I've also seen pandan, halo-halo, taro, thai tea, and green tea. It's so difficult to find good ice cream in Asian flavors in Chicago... and the ice cream they supply is top notch, so this is a godsend.

A high 4 stars to this fancy little thai shack in uptown. The restaurant is located in the heart of uptown on broadway street. The restaurant has a lot to offer beside the regular menu with thai snacks and pastries on display. I ordered takeout from this place as I was visiting uptown. The following were in my order: Green curry with chicken- This was traditional green curry with eggplant, peppers, and basil. The curry was a slightly liquidy than normal. The coconut cream was tasty but definitely needed thickness. It wasn't too spicy but just the right flavor. I like my thai food spicy, so next time will order that. It came with rice which was fresh. Pad thai with chicken- This was your traditional pad thai. Burried under the traditional carrots, sprouts and cilantra, are soft noodles with peanuts and chicken. The noodles were soft and tasted great. Papaya salad- I love ordering papaya salad at thai restaurants. While this had all the ingredients of a papaya salad, it was more americanized version. It was big leaves of lettuce, and thick slice of tomato in it which was bit over americanizing the salad. The true thai taste of papaya salad was there but I would say go easy on the lettuce. Good taste nonetheless. Great food overall. The owner and staff is great. Very friendly, and good people. #SupportLocal

I just recently returned from visiting my friends in Thailand, and this place is the closest to authentic Thai food. I've had in Chicago so far. It taste great, and I highly recommend it. try the rice, crab ragoon and their pastries. Also a nice hidden gem for any date night.

I ordered a lot of food from here when some family was visiting. All I have to say is that every time we've ever ordered from here for pick up the staff is SO NICE. Tofu pad Thai 10/10 Chicken pad Thai 10/10 Thai viet roll 10/10 Pad See Ew beef 12/10 Chicken panang curry 10/10 Bubble tea All the food was FANTASTIC. It easily fed all of us, and we had plenty of leftovers the next day. The only thing I'll say is the panang was a bit salty for my liking but we ate family style and no one else felt the same, so seems it was just me.

I had a craving for Thai food so I turned to Yelp and found Thai Pastry. It satisfied all my cravings! I went for the Viet-Thai Rolls, fried chicken wings and beef kee mao (drunken noodles). As a bonus, there was a coupon in the grubhub app for a free order of crab wontons if your order was $25 or more! Who *clap* doesn't *clap* LOVE free crab wontons?! Food: 10/10 Would Def Recommend Crab Wonton Freebie: Def not from a box in the freezer. These bad boys were hand pinched and completely stuffed! The dipping sauce was a nice compliment as well. Seemed homemade. Not that weird reddish pink sweet & sour sauce that you know is colored with Red #40. Fried Chicken Wings: not coated in batter which I liked! Great flavor and has its own sweet sauce to go with it. Nicely marinated with great flavor! Viet-Thai Roll: Super fresh veggies with attention to detail like the shaving of the cucumber skin. This has a plum/hoisin peanut sauce with it which was phenomenal! I asked for extra sauce in my order and got it no problem! Could drink the sauce it's so good! Drunken Noodes: Hit the spot for sure! Good mix of fresh veggies and excellent flavor. Not overly spicy either. Delivery: Way ahead of the estimated time which was a great surprise! Will absolutely order from here again!

Worst portions. I spent $52 and the pad tai was all bean sprouts, the beef dish was tiny chunks of beef in a tiny styrofoam container and the orange chicken was the same situation... One small container of white rice. NEVER AGAIN.

Been coming here for years now with my family. This place hands down has THE BEST PAD THAI IN CHICAGO in my opinion. The noodles always have a perfect texture & the overall dish has a slightly charred barbecued umami taste. Mix in the lime, peanuts, & fresh vegetables & you're in heaven. Other favorites of ours are the Hor Mok (Thai seafood coconut milk curry bake) & the Angel wings which are always crispy on the outside & super juicy & tasty on the inside. We also love their different flavored cakes. I don't know her name but the middle aged lady who is usually there when we go is super friendly & helpful. She even introduced us to preserved mango she gets from Thailand that we also eat since us Filipinos have something similar. A must try place indeed!

We came here for lunch on a weekday and it was pretty lonely. I think we were the only ones at the time. The entire staff was very friendly and welcoming. I ordered their pad kee mao lunch special and it was amazing. It came with a soup which didn't taste like anything special and cucumber salad which was tasty. The main drunken noodles dish, was pretty good, needed a little bit more of a kick to it, and they had their chili powder on the side to that was very convenient. It also came with a generous portion of beef but could have used more noodles. They served it with broccoli which I'm not really used to having with my drunken noodles. But overall the entire meal was very satisfying and filling. We did finish off with a coconut dessert, similar to flan, but more on the dry side. All that for a decent lunch special price. You can't beat that! I probably would return, but there's just so many other Thai options that I would like to try first before even beginning to try this place again.

They're so nice and welcoming here and the food is amazing. You can tell they're passionate about making delicious food. I always get the shrimp tom yum soup and mango sticky rice. :)

The restaurant is beautifully decorated and colorful. They've even got miniature Thai kitchens enclosed in a clear case (super cute)! The service was quick and friendly. Seemed like only one man working the front of the room. My sister and I ordered Thai tea, which was pretty good! We came in for lunch and got two lunch specials. They came with a small soup, wonton broth with a small meatball, cilantro and a little rice, and an egg roll with Thai sweet chili pepper sauce. Very good. We had chicken pad Thai and lime chicken. The pad Thai left me feeling like it was missing something, I didn't think it had the full flavor profile compared to other places. The lime chicken was excellent, tender juicy chicken battered and fried to a light golden crisp that's covered in a light mayo lime sauce. It sits over crispy fried basil (I believe) and is served with rice. I think I'll come back to try their pad see ew next time and their salmon or scallop panang curry!

The absolute best food we have had! Everything is great but we love the stuffed chicken wing, Pad Thai, and Coconut cake! We come at least once every two months. You won't regret it!

There's a reason Thai Pastry is a staple in the uptown community, an area with no shortage of Thai food for the choosing. Food: We started with the shumai. It was good although not amazing. I prefer mine a little crunchier on the outside and slightly less greasy. Still it was decent. I ordered the Pad See Ewe. It was delicious. Well seasoned and flavorful but not overly saucy. The broccoli is where many places go wrong, but here it was just right, steamed and cooked, but not overly so, so none of that mushy business. Flavorful and still crisp. The chicken was very tender. If this review was based on this dish alone, I'd be giving this place 5 stars. My partner had the panang curry with veggies. It was perfectly spicy, although a tad too much curry. Restaurant and Service: The restaurant is really cute and nicely decorated. The waiter was friendly and relatively swift so definitely no complaints there!

i orderded the garlic scallops from ubereats and it came with FOUR SCALLOPS?? this for $14.95?! total rip-off. DO NOT order from here.

Had an early dinner Thursday evening at 5 pm, so not a lot of other customers dining in. But lots of carry out and delivery activity. Started out with the shrimp roll and the Thai Viet rolls. Both excellent. For entrees we enjoyed the Lemon Grass Chicken and the Panang Curry Chicken. Finally for dessert we enjoyed the sticky rice with fresh mango. Plus no fee BYOB Great food and great value!!!

Food was great. I had the grilled salmon with veggies panang and loved it. It just had the right spicy level. The salmon and veggies were just cooked enough as I don't like them too soft/soggy. The curry was a little watery in my opinion as I typically like my curry with a creamy texture. Serving size is good but $15 cost was in the high range for me. Although salmon I know is quite costly so understandably so. Not the best salmon - a little rubbery/chewy but soft enough. And ate all the rice that came with it. Service was okay. I was the only there when I arrived and it took them a while to get my order. And when I came to the registrar staff, he had a slight attitude telling me he will get to me soon - said please but yeah. Checked up on me once. Place was nice and beautifully decorated. Clean and with enough seating. I came at lunch time so throughout my whole lunch there was only one other guest.

I hate that this not gonna be a good review. This used to be one of the best Thai restaurants in Chicago... delicious food with a beautiful presentation. They must have sold the business... the food is not the same. Pad Thai is loaded with bean sprouts no peanuts and is very watery. Sad that they are no longer what they once were.

I ordered food delivery from this restaurant on Grubhub and everytime I did , it was the same delivery man. So I assumed this man works for the restaurant and not a grubhub's driver. Anyway he was rude. I always tipped him on Grubhub but when he delivered the food to my door, he always stood there and stared at me waiting for me to tip him twice. And If I didn't want to tip him twice, he would get annoyed at me and mumbled something under his breath. One time when I was about to close my door, he stopped it asking for tip. When I explained I did tip him on Grubhub, his face just looks really mad. The food is good but I don't order here anymore because I don't want a stranger stopping my door like that again.

This restaurant is absolutely shameless, it is also pricey. The food was miserable with main dish portions smaller than most appetizers. I never have had a delivery service refund my money but this time I did. My husband Nong Pla (he is Thai) and I have eaten at many Thai restaurants here in Chicago and Thailand and Thai Pastry was the absolute worst.

Some of the best Thai food that I have ever had. Don't be fooled by the name: they may have good pastries, but putting "Restaurant" second in the name does not mean that their food takes a back seat. I had the Pad Thai w/ chicken and my friend had the Panang Curry w/ chicken. We also got sides of white rice. The Pad Thai was just ridiculously delicious. The noodles were soft, but not too floppy: they were perfectly cooked. The chicken was well prepared and matched perfectly with the egg, peanuts, and spices in the dish. I had to add some hot spices to give it a little kick, but I knew going in that it wasn't going to be spicy. The portion was very generous too. I could not find anything wrong with it. Easily the best Pad Thai I have had in Chicagoland. The Panang Curry had quality written all over it. It was bursting at the seams with flavor and was the perfect portion-size. My friend said if she had to pick one thing wrong with it, she would say that it was a bit salty. Other than that, she said that the curry from Thai Pastry was definitely in the upper tier of the curries she has tried. The prices were not that bad either. It came to $26 for the both of us. Aside from the food, the decor was fun and festive. The most memorable features were the flowers and decorations hanging from the ceiling. I unfortunately forgot to take a photo, but it was quite welcoming and quaint. I would definitely go back again to see if the quality of their pastries fares well against the superb quality of their entrees. TL/DR: Great Thai place off of the Argyle stop. In a neighborhood already crawling with a ton of Thai places, Thai Pastry has exerted itself as one of the best.

Not disappointed but not in love. The ambiance here is what I really loved. All the flowers on the ceiling make this restaurant much more appealing. The food was not my favorite but for the price it was great. The flavors were there but not something that I'll constantly crave. I had the golden noodle and loved it. It just sort of lacked in chicken but I did love the vegetables so I'm not mad. The crispy noodles were delish. I did not love the calamari and would not recommend it. But other than that my friends too enjoyed their meals. I also noticed all the deserts and will be coming back to try more of those. World of advice is skip appetizers and stick to the main courses and deserts. You can't go wrong with getting to pick your meal/seafood in any dish. That is what I really loved about this place.

i ordered the lime chicken. instead of a mayonnaise sauce mixture previously noted in reviews, the chicken came with a caro- syrup- type of topping. & the chicken was overcooked... i had enough sweetness with the eggroll with sweet & sour dip. i asked the server & she replied ,"that's how it's served". it seemed like americanized chinese at best. nothing about thai food.

Really good Thai restaurant. With so much variety in Chicago i decided to try this place out with a few friends. We ended up ordering take out and got quite a bit of food. We ended up ordering a couple orders of pad thai noodles, kapi fried rice, crab ragoons, fried tofu and we all got Thai iced tea. Pad Thai was really good and the noodles were cooked well. Kapi fried rice was awesome and had some shredded mango in it. The added sweetness was a nice touch. Crab ragoons were awesome! Best I've had in a while. Had chunks of water chestnuts in them and the filling was rich and creamy. Fried tofu and Thai iced tea were nothing special but still tasted great. CAUTION HOT: ok I love spicy food but I don't want to feel like I'm going to die. If you see little red sliced peppers in anything, beware. They are deceiving. Really small slices but so damn hot. I'm not over exaggerating. I ate one tiny piece and my mouth was on fire for a good 10 minutes. I pushed the peppers to the side after that and the kapi fried rice was still great.

Still good solid Thai food at a reasonable price. I came here Saturday afternoon with a friend. We had the payaya salad and satay for appetizers. Both were really tasty. I had the beef pad see ew and my friend had the boat fried rice. We both enjoyed our food. They have good service there as well.

My experience with Thai Pastry left much to be desired. Let's start with the positive. The decor here is nice, very colorful and clean. Atmosphere was nice, but the low-key EDM soundtrack was questionable, at best. Our server was a sweet older woman, who was very attentive and happy to give recommendations. The menu prices for basic dishes are almost 50% more than comparable restaurants in the area. I don't mind at all paying more if the quality is deserving, but this was definitely not the case. We ordered the pastry rolls, pad thai, and massaman curry. Pastry rolls were lacking in ingredients, for $7 I expect more than just basil, bean sprouts and a few carrot shavings. Pad thai erred on the sweeter side and did not have any spice. The most eggregious offender was the curry. Curry was extremely bland, was served lukewarm, and was even less spicy than the pad thai. I found myself adding hot sauce and soy sauce after every bite. I'm not extremely familiar with thai dishes but surely an $11 curry deserves more, no? Minus one star for the food, and that's being extremely generous. The last bitter taste in left in my mouth was the billing. When we gave our server our credit cards, we discovered that there was actually another differently and lower priced check that was on the bottom, which she quickly hid away. Regardless of whether that one was wrong or not, that was a bit shady. Instead of splitting our bill evenly down the middle, we found out that they rounded the check price up by more than a dollar for an even split. I should have spoken up, but at that point I just wanted to get out of there. Absolutely unacceptable business practice. Picture of receipts includes. Minus two stars. I cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone, there are many other restaurants within one block that are much more deserving of your money. Will not be coming here again.

My friend and I popped in her for some goodies To Go before dinner and I have to say we were not all that impressed. -I brought the Thong Yod (Golden Tear Drop dessert made of eggs, flour & sugar often served at Thai weddings) I bought into work the next day and not one coworker enjoyed it...including myself. Strange texture, way too juicy (like covered in liquid & sitting in a pool of it), just not a great dessert. -Chocolate Thai donuts were okay, no qualms about them but just wasn't high on them or anything. They aren't a typical donut, just small circular more bread like pastry donuts sans any frosting or topping. -My friend's fruity turnover pastries were not all that great either. He ended up not even offering them to our coworkers in a pool of shame. -$10 minimum on credit cards. :( On the plus side, they had a cooler full of ice cream from Village Creamery. Now THAT'S awesome! However, no Ube. :( Sorry Thai Pastry, I won't be hitting you up otra vez for my Thai pastries. 0 of 3 hits out of the park isn't all that great of a batting record...I think....I don't follow sports. The pastry shop 'round the corner [Chiu Quon Bakery] is still my go to spot.

I ordered a sweet and sour Red snapper as a take out and they gave me a small golden thread fried fish for the price of A Red snapper ! Such a con artist restaurant at this time that you want to patronize local business ! Ugly truth is , they just want to make a profit out of peoples sympathy ! The worst Thai Restaurant !

Good Thai restaurant! The staff are all very kind and attentive - plenty of space here so I doubt they have a wait unless it's a weekend dinner rush, or lunch. I ordered the Thai-viet rolls and the Tom yum with chicken. Both were good! Tom yum needs more vegetables, or some rice with it.

Service was fast and the food came out hot. Really good for my first thai place in Chicago.

I still love this place. We just had the best mocha almond cookies I have ever eaten. Fresh baked and delicious. Melt in your mouth good. Stop in for dinner or pastries or both. YUM!
