"Somewhat hidden in the shadows of elevated 7 train tracks on the Elmhurst-Jackson Heights border, Thai Son was once part of a chain that had many prominent branches. Now this is one of two remaining (the other in Manhattan’s Chinatown). It constitutes a very agreeable Vietnamese hash house, specializing in the rice dishes favored in the Mekong Delta, plus the usual spring and summer rolls, pho and banh mi, as well as some unexpected entrees, such as frog legs in French butter." - Robert Sietsema, Bao Ong

We ordered #1, #37, and #19. The start was not great as I was initially a bit disappointed with the mundane summer rolls. I guess its hard to really impress with summer rolls, but the rest of the meal was eye opening👀. The pho was probably the best Ive ever had, the flavor and depth of the broth was extraordinary. And the grilled pork with angel hair noodle, this is something else! The combination of the pork, noodles, cucumber, and fish sauce left me awestruck. I cannot wait to go back to try the rest of the menu!!

What a gem in Jackson Heights. This might be the only Vietnamese restaurant that is just so close to the Broadway / Roosevelt train it’s a staple of the neighborhood. The staff is incredibly friendly and the menu is vast and reasonably priced. I’ve come here in groups, solo and it’s always a great meal. Thank you Thai Son for always bending a reliable place for lunch / dinner!

Great service. Primo location. Food came out timely. A good quick stop to eat before/after your commute in jax heights. One less star bc I ordered veg vermicelli and it had zero flavor even w the sauce. So I took that Togo and ordered the Pho instead. It was good but not the best I’ve had. $11 is a lot imo for pho in jax heights but hey inflation, Covid, wutever u wana call it. I did not see any bahn mi on the menu. That was disappointing, I’ll ask next time. Always a win w a viet coffee afterwards ;))

I love the pho and the shrimp summer rolls but service wasn’t the best. They were kinda rude and didn’t pay attention but overall it was good

I've been going there over a decade! Sorry that I'm leaving the comment this late. This is THE BEST Vietnamese place in the US. Recently price has changed a lot due to inflation but it doesn't bother me at all if this place could survive forever lol I always have #1, 45, 48 but didn't take good pictures of them since I was busy digging in.

As soon as I took my first sip of the #6 (eye round steak pho) I totally forgot to take photos of the dishes. My favorite dish is pho and I’ve tried it all over but this place has to have one of the best broths i’ve ever tasted!! 10/10. The customer service was wonderful and quick! Highly recommend. All I managed to take a picture of was the fresh basil and bean sprouts!

Wonderful! Great summer roll and pho. This is now part of my route to LGA. #7 with great above ground views, then a feast here. Finally, the bus onward.

Suon Heo Nuong barbecued pork chop My mom used to order this dish for me a lot. I got a lot of meat, but it was pricey - little over $17 Some chefs at other places let the edges get too charred, or too little meat and too much bone. Theirs is done right with good meat

Yelp
Might be a controversial opinion, but this is one of my favorite pho spots in the city. Would say the Queens location is a bit better than Manhattan. Their pho bo satay is a different take on pho, but an absolute must for any peanut lovers out there. Service is typically pretty great! Not too big of a location, so gives a nice cozy vibe.

Yelp
It was a cold day a friend texted me to get Pho, I was sure why not. Pho is a Vietnamese soup dish consisting of broth, rice noodles, herbs, and meat. We started sharing an appetizer the Pork Spring Rolls with my friend, the rolls were little but full of pork meat, crisp and crusty very delicious. I got Pho number 3 Dac Biet a combination special big bowl of rice noodles beef soup navel, frank, omasa, tendon, and eye of round. The broth was super tasty, and delicious, with a nice balance of spices and very well-seasoned, the noodles had a nice structure good well cooked and the different meat in each slide the texture was good, very flavorful, and super tender. The services were on point on top of our table making sure we had everything we needed. The place is pretty big, and the location is perfect near the train station that has a lot of train options.

Yelp
This is by far one of my favorite pho spots in the area. I've been coming here for at least 5+ years. Conveniently located right outside the 74th St. Jackson Heights subway stop. It's reliable, has a friendly staff, a slew of options to choose from, and is affordable. The only thing I dislike is if you come in alone and the place is busy, they might put you with a group of strangers at a table or the table in the back near the bathroom. When it comes to food, I'm always satisfied after I come here. Sometimes, I might feel too full. I always get #3 pho (a smaller version of #1). The broth is favorable and comforting. I've tried their papaya salad (healthy), fried calamari (good portion), and the pork spring rolls (flavorful). My sister always gets the shredded chicken pieces for her pho and she enjoys it. I also really like their grilled chicken/grilled pork rice dishes. You can't go wrong with those either. I do have to try more authentic Vietnamese dishes though. Seating-wise, not hard to get. Even around dinner time, there are still plenty of tables available to eat at. Definitely worth a stop if you're craving Vietnamese food.

Yelp
I had never been to this part of Elmhurst, but as we found ourselves in queens one night after a party and dying for some hot soup, we found this place. The food was legit and flavorful, and the service was prompt and friendly. All the gentlemen who work there were nice to us, although the food took a while to come. Decor's old and no frills, but the food made up for it. Parking wasn't too bad in the area on a Saturday night.

Anggie B.

Yelp
A humble Vietnamese restaurant. Nothing fancy, but you'll get good Pho here. I think mine was a bit too salty, but still pretty good. Will come back if I'm nearby and in the mood of Viet cuisine

Anna L.

Yelp
I've been in this area so many times, but had never took notice of this restaurant. Despite the name, it is a Vietnamese restaurant and was nicer than I expected. Great service and food, but I think I might have seen a critter run across the floor. They are known for their pho, but I'm not a pho person. The calamari is delicious and so was the shrimp bun (vermicelli noodles). The shrimp had a great grilled flavor. The caramel fish was also good but heavy on flavor and sweetness. It comes with rice. Tea is complimentary.

Patrick K.

Yelp
No frills Vietnamese place with delicious Pho and many other dishes. We come here when we crave Pho. Service is attentive and quick.

kristin c.

Yelp
Got our usuals- the pho with fresh eye round and grilled pork chop over rice. Tried grilled beef over rice and was good. I like their Vietnamese coffee as well. Nothing fancy but we are usually satisfied with our meals. Quick service. First time eating in bec usually hard to find parking in the area. Went more for take out during covid time. Noticed the prices have gone up though.

Kate C.

Yelp
Thai Son - Jackson heights Good but a little forgettable. I feel like each dish was just under seasoned and I was adding alllll the sauce to flavor it. The way it was cooked was 100% right tho. Service was also really nice and quick

Dave D.

Yelp
I never ventured to the other side of Broadway when I'm out in the area. Usually I'm in the mood for south asian food, but I'm really glad I ventured out to Thai Son. It's a larger space and has about a dozen tables inside. The staff are friendly and know their Vietnamese. The Pho was authentic with all of the herb and meat fixings - surprisingly rare to find in the city. The broth is flavorful without being oily at all. Really enjoy this spot and will return when I want the more authentic bowl of pho.

Stacy S.

Yelp
Service is old school and excellent. The servers are always kind and attentive. This restaurant takes pride in serving their community. I am a flight attendant and I end up coming here after almost all of my trip at LGA. I absolutely love this place. I am from Seattle, WA where Vietnamese food is AMAZING. It's been really tough to find a place in New York to match the quality and authenticity that I am used to in Seattle. Thai Son has consistently been a great spot to eat with a homey feel. They usually seat you immediately and also welcome you with a kettle of hot tea. Pho Tai - Beef Round Pho -- Classic dish, they have a great broth that tastes good without adding any extra stuff, good amount in a regular sized bowl, just enough to satisfy me. Banh Mi Bo Kho - Delicious Beef Soup that comes with a baguette to dip into the soup. Recently tried it and might start alternating between pho and this one. Egg Rolls - Best egg rolls I have had HANDS DOWN. They wrap their egg rolls in rice paper instead of wonton wrappers like most asian restaurants. It truly makes a difference. The flavor is stronger and the crispiness is unmatched. Lemongrass Beef with Rice - Authentic dish, delicious, portion size great. Iced Black Tea w/Condensed Milk - A good alternative to Thai Tea if you like thai tea.

Dechhen S.

Yelp
Thai son is the best Vietnamese in Jackson Heights. I love their pho and especially their Vietnamese spring rolls. The workers are always so nice and sweet and the service is great. Their Vietnamese iced coffee is also amazing.

Toey F.

Yelp
Big Disappointed !! They must change chef or something food was not good Orders crispy noodle topped with seafood For $21 noodle was tough (Old) not even crispy with some veggies, 2 shrimps, fake crab leg and 2 fish balls A friend ordered Grilled Pork with Rice noodle everything came out so sweet ! Didn't bother taken any pictures cuz it was horrible ... so think this will be last time of going there It was pretty crowded maybe cuz there's not another Vietnamese restaurant around more !!

Victoria O.

Yelp
Si glad I discovered his place. What a gem. I love Vietnamese cuisine and originally thought this was a Thai place (which I also love but there are so many great Thai restaurants in Elmhurst that it didn't stick out for me). The second I walked in, I was greeted and welcomed by kind man who sat me down right away. The place was packed on a weekday with Asian families and couples which is always a great sign regarding authenticity. We had the shrimp spring rolls which were so fresh and delicious and arrived at our table super quick. I had the Com Ga Xao Ot (chicken lemongrass with onions, peppers and rice) which was delicious. Another day I tried the Banh HonThjt Heo Nuomg which is deliciously seasoned grilled pork with super thin rice noodles and they bring lettuce and other fresh ingredients to make lettuce wraps. This dish was heaven and I will probably have to order it every time I go there. Lol. But their menu is incredibly varied. You could literally order something new every day for a few months. I can't wait to discover more. As if this wasn't enough, a big plus for me is that they are so kind and welcoming. I have a trained and licensed service animal and even though the law requires establishments to welcome him, i sometimes get an icy reception or flat out denied until they see that he is well trained and super calm. The staff here were understanding and very accommodating. I really appreciate that. This is my new favorite spot in the neighborhood!

Yelp
Thai Son is one of the best Vietnamise places (in Queens) that I've had, and it is my go-to place for pho when I'm craving. The staff is always friendly and it's a decent sized location. I always order the number 1 because it is an extra large pho bowl that has everything in it: navel, frank, eye of round, tripe and tendons. The portion of this dish is generous, you can save some of it for the next day too. A must-try is number 24, the spring rolls. They're always super crispy and delicious every time I go. I have eaten in multiple times, and ordered it to-go even more. I usually go with one or two people, but I came with a large group for my graduation and they didnt make us wait very long. The staff kindly accomodated us and found us a large table, despite it being busy. They have still yet to disappoint after all these years. I will continue to come back here as long as I love in New York!

Sid R.

Yelp
This restaurant reminds me of one I went to for 20 years that recently shut down. It's the most similar Vietnamese food I could find, and it warms my heart. Every dish I ordered was so good, I could eat here everyday. I did takeout, and the man at the counter was so hospitable and gave me tea while I waited. They forgot my soup in the order, and while I live 4 subway stops away, they sent someone to my apartment with the missing soup.

Michelle C.

Yelp
This is the second time I come here since I loved it so much the first time. The service is fast and my waiter was very friendly. I ordered the most basic pho since I didn't really understand the menu but it was a great selection. It had thin slices of beef and noodles. It comes with a side of vegetables. The texture of the meat is tender and the noodles are not over cooked which it makes it even more delicious. Every bite is just perfect. Especially on a cold day. I also ordered the pork with the rice paper and lettuce with vegetables where you prepare the rolls yourself. Adding a touch of peanut sauce completes the whole bite.

Monica P.

Yelp
Can someone please tell me why Thái Son closed? This was my favorite restaurant in Jackson Heights and I'm heartbroken!

Eli S.

Yelp
I am a regular here. I've come alone, with my partner, mother, groups of friends, group of family, dined in, gotten takeout, taken leftovers, and have never eaten anything I was unhappy with. My go-to is pho, and it's big and full of many parts of the cow and cheap and pretty much perfect every time. I hope they stay open forever. The staff are usually quick, and if they aren't quick it's because you look like you're thinking very hard (usually true in mu case) - just call them over.

Michelle F.

Yelp
Amazing:) even if you order delivery !!!! These pics are delivered food but this is only because I have Covid and couldn't go in person, but needed me some pho and boyyyyy did it hit the spot :) Everything ordered was so fresh and great also came so quick and warm. The price is good I just loved it !!!!

Mike Y.

Yelp
I order takeout and dine in sometimes. It's time for them to update the menu photos which is now 8 years ago. Also need to take clear photos. A lot of menu photos are not clear. Food and service are both good.

Uyen N.

Yelp
Pretty meh Vietnamese food, except for the grilled pork that is pretty well seasoned. Service okay, and the restaurant is quite spacious.

Be S.

Yelp
The food especially the soup is getting better and yummy. The service is ok and the ambience is just fine when it's not dinner time. Don't forget yo bring cash. Another additional 3% for using credit card

Mina T.

Yelp
This is my go to when I'm in the neighborhood. I'm actually on my way there now. I only get the Pho, which has never steered me wrong. Maybe today I will try something new on the menu. Maybe not.

Bhutisang G.

Yelp
We ordered a beef pho and veg ! Personally , it wasnt for my taste bud ! Had no flavour on the veggie soup but it looks like you can get used to it when you keep having this food . A friend recommended me this place to try their rice noodle soup . Huge respect for their cuisine but definetly not that i cherish . Well the service is good and so are the server !

A'Yanna E.

Yelp
WHATS PHO DINNER? My first time eating Pho and it was so yummy! I cleared my bowl. Officially on my list of cuisine faves. I have never had this kind of spring roll either with this kind of peanut sauce. Also tasty. We were welcomed and served very well. The tea was nice and while it is more of a hole in the wall restaurant, the food was good and utensils were clean. We were seated apart as tables were blocked off for 6ft apart standard. I didn't notice them sanitizing tables after each party left. Enjoy!

Peet J.

Yelp
Had been here many many times and the food is ok Just saw a piece of plastic in my food (this is a draft from months ago that's I about to post but we just let it go but this time we can't) And today we decided to order again Guess what we found today ?? We found a COCKROACH in the Pho We tried to call them but they not even pick up the phone No word can describe my feelings right now omg... We ordered not only pho, we have nem nuong, banh xeo and pho bo kho. Table full of foods because they're very generous with the portion and reasonable price but we can't take another bite... Scared of hidden subject in my food and worry for my health!!

Christine T.

Yelp
My husband and I order delivery from here almost weekly. They are so fast, and the pho is always top-notch. The rice vermicelli and beef stew are both also absolutely fantastic.

Jessica L.

Yelp
I was in the area, starving, and pho sounded soooo good on a cold day. I stopped by Thai Son and ordered the first item on the menu, which is their Extra Big Bowl. We only had to wait about 5 minutes, super fast! We were also served tea (similar to the one that is served at dim sum!) The bowl was true to it's name, very big. It was very flavorful and warming. There was a good amount of meat to noodles. The noodles were cooked to perfection. The variety of sauces are available on the table for you to use as you would like. The reason I am taking away one star is because when I was trying to get the attention of the workers to ask for the bill, I was seen, but ignored a few times. I had to wait a while to receive attention. The pho was yummy and satisfying!

Chris P.

Yelp
Last night I had dinner with my parents and we ordered five dishes; one to go. I didn't have pictures because my phone died. First, I was taken a back how the prices jacked up. Our meal of four dishes with tip came out to $78. We order the pho $10.50 without noodles because it was late and it was still good. The summer rolls, which come in 2 was $6.25. The rolls hit the spot. We also order the nam nuong which was $16.50 and it was a large portion. Finally I ordered the banh xeo (12.95) and it was huge. The banh xeo was the highlight of the order. We also ordered the grilled pork and vermicelli noodles to go and it still tasted good the next day. The staff was accommodating and service was overall good. I was just amazed how prices jacked up since I last ate there.

Ming C.

Yelp
Another cold winter day, another visit to Thai Son for dinner. This time, my friends and I were looking to eat at a place that would accommodate 9 people without a long wait - we called Thai Son and they said to come on down. They had a table ready for us with no wait on a Saturday evening. My friends all ordered a #1 or #3, but I opted to venture for something different this time around. The #9 Pho Suon Nuong - Combination rice noodles beef soup with grilled pork chop ($9) was really good. The grilled pork chop pieces came on the side - they were sweet, juicy, nicely charred, and complimented the savory beef soup well. This dish didn't come with a plate of bean sprouts or lime to top the noodle soup, but there was a lot leftover from my friends' #1 and #3 phos. #1: Xe Lua - extra big bowl of pho w/ eye of round, brisket, tripe, and tendon #3: Dac Biet - medium bowl of pho w/ eye of round, brisket, tripe, and tendon Quality Vietnamese food, conveniently located right outside the Roosevelt Avenue/74th Street subway station of Jackson Heights. All hit the spot on a chilly Saturday night. Thái Son serves some good ol' pho and also accepts card!

Henry W.

Yelp
OMG, I was going let it go but for $12.50 with mostly rice as I having it. This is a total rip off. I called the the guys says he is going let the kitchen know to improve. Please check your order before you head out the restaurant. After all it is curry chicken rice so either you have curry chicken blend in with rice or enough curry to mix with rice. Extremely disappointed.

Maggie L.

Yelp
My sister has recommended this Vietnamese pho for like a thousand times. Finally here I am. The restaurant is right next to the 74 Jackson height station so convenient spot. It's been here for a long while so the interior is kinda old. Could be better if the table js cleaner. For the food wise I think the pho is yummy and I am impressed how sweet the soup is. The portion and the beef is fresh. Almost the best I tried in NYC. For the Beef BBQ its hot when it's served. Smells great and the seasoning is awesome. Well marinated with herbs a bit of sweetness underneath. Very yummy but a bit chewy. Overall quite worthy to pay a visit when fancy Vietnamese pho.

Benjamin Q.

Yelp
Let's keep it real here. Pretty typical viet food place. Always get the #1 Pho and doesn't disappoint. The Bahn Mi was just ok the last time I got it. Nothing stands out but good experience every time, safe place to go back to. Customer service is just ok, typical Asian restaurant style.

Audrey L.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite pho joints! Their broth is unbelievably tasty. Normally broths can be too salty for me to finish but I'm able to down this bowl after finishing the noodles. Their number one is solid, with different cuts of beef, and they have another bowl with grilled pork chop that's deliciously flavorful and tender, too. I also enjoy their summer rolls, which come with a generous amount of shrimp and a nice peanut sauce to go with it. Next time I'll remember to order one of their drinks ; )

Arthur A.

Yelp
there aren't a ton of places in Queens for pho, but I do think that this place is still quite good on its own merit. The staff are all friendly. The pho broth is really good. My wife doesn't eat red meat but even their chicken pho (with chicken broth) is good. For both take-out and dine-in, they have the usual array of sauces and add-ons (sprouts, limes, cilantro). The noodles are really good. I usually get the pork-chop in noodle soup and the flavors balance out well. The only thing of concern is that sometimes they don't pack the to-go stuff as well. We've had multiples instances when some of the pho broth spilled out because of lids not properly secured. So I'd check that if ordering to-go. Other than that, this place is solid.

Nalinee K.

Yelp
Beef pho is the best in town. I always order extra raw beef. The soup is flavorful. Great

Mark Nowell M.

Yelp
Best Vietnamese Restaurant! If you want cheap and authentic Vietnamese restaurant go here!! Location: It is located in Elmhurst! I always go here when I moved to the U.S. The restaurant is big with a lot of seatings! The interior is okay, you go here for food so it is okay if its like a normal restaurant. Service: They are okay, they just take your order and that's it. :) Food: Everything is good here! PHO: all the phos are good!! The noodles are perfectly cook but the main thing is here the soup, it is soo delicious! PORKCHOP: omg they are soo good, thinly sliced and marinated well! Dip it on their sauce that taste like vinegar with fish sauce! PAPAYA SALAD: so refreshing! Sliced fresh with shrimp and bits of cashew!! Price rating: 4/10 very cheap with the kind of goodness they offer! Get the porkchop they are the bomb!! The Pho is good as well! Perfect for any kind of weather!

Haochi L.

Yelp
This is the worst service ever in the year during this COVID period. I went there for indoor dining and show my vaccine and Id , but guess what, the staff did not even check and brother to take a look. After that, when other people came in and they did not same thing and just let them people came in without even checking their proof of vaccine and photo ID. I did not feel secure at all. After eating 10 mins and I decide to pay and leave. I don't even want to come back. When I asked the staff why they not check, Guess what they said ? Direct quote " I know them " " I know they have it " I was shocked and I did not even brother. Wasting my money on this crappy place. I hope they got shut down soon. Period.

Nancy G.

Yelp
My go to Viet restaurant in Jackson Heights. Staff are always accommodating and happen to be very friendly and hospitable. Food is always on point.

Jb Y.

Yelp
Using this place more than 20 years. One of my best restaurants. Summer roll is my favorite.

YaYaNom52 0.

Yelp
Okay seems like this scam thing they do is for Thai son anywhere. The one in Chinatown tries to scam you of paying extra bc their bill is unclear and tips they already include in the bill hoping you would pay tips again. Double tip charge is you don't check carefully. This happened to me twice at the Thai son in Chinatown. Now the Elmhurst one. Today I bought a rice dish $12.95 and a small spring roll $7.25 on their menu, and the guy charge me $26.60, I'm was like that's not a right..... How it's it $7 in tax? That's almost 25% tax.... And this was for take out. So I confronted the guy and his ass is trying to tell me it's tax until his female coworker came over and he goes into the register and takes out $5 to return to me. Thai son anywhere Chinatown queens Brooklyn anything Thai son they are scammers. Be careful and double check the price every damn time!

Miami R.

Yelp
the food here is amazing. love this place. hearty and flavorful. my favorite is the pho bo kho

Shaikh L.

Yelp
Great Vietnamese restaurant, the food here is very good compared to many other Vietnamese restaurants in the neighborhood. Would recommend the grilled menu with the rice vermicelli or always the classic pho. I would highly recommend to try this place out if your in the neighborhood.

Cynthia L.

Yelp
Nothing beats a big bowl of pipping hot pho during a snow storm! The catch is that you have to go out to get it first! Nor'easter had unfortunately, stopped my partner-in-crime and I from venturing too far. We ordered take-out for the night and we were completely satisfied with it! We got an order of Summer Rolls, Spring Rolls, #1 Combination Pho, and Grilled Pork Chop over Rice: Summer Rolls with Peanut Sauce are my favorite things here! One order comes with two rolls and they are huge! Inside the rice crepe, there are two jumbo shrimps cut in halves, vermicelli, lettuce, green onion, and herbs. It is freakin' good! Peanut sauce is on point, too! Spring Rolls. Okay, my first impression was, they were so small! It is perfectly fried and flaky. It is so flavorful!!! Their fish sauce that comes with it is perfect as well. #1 Combination Pho comes with the generous amount of meats: brisket, navel, frank, omosa, tendon and eye of round with vermicelli. The ingredients are fresh and it is a very good bowl of pho. Beef broth flavor is pretty good but Pho Bang still has the best broth, in my opinion. Great bowl of pho on this cold day warms the soul! Grilled Pork Chop over Rice. Nicely charred lemongrass-flavored pork chops. To simply put it: it's damn good! The portion is a bit small and rice is okay. My partner-in-crime and I are perfectly happy and we look forward to another take-out night from here!

Gloria E.

Yelp
Super busy on a Sunday night, so menu options were slightly limited (no bread, no frog) but it got me to try some new things. The fried spring rolls were flavorful and stayed crispy, while the calamari came out with peppers and onions and was a pretty good value for the small. Fried tried the curry chicken which came with rice, and I think it was coconut based. Super flavorful with some spices Id never had in Vietnamese food, and I loved it! Couldn't get the bahn mi, so tried my favorite, a huge bowl of pho with meat on the side so I could control the cooking of the meat in the broth, just asked for it and they did it. Even with so many people in the place, food came out in bursts within a few minutes and we were stuffed! About 10-15 dollars per person with appetizers, and huge portions with good quality.

Kiki L.

Yelp
This is ridiculous, I asked for iced coffee no ice and the person gave me half cup. I called and ask why there's only half cup he said because you requested no ice. I have never had a place that does dirty tricks like this. Never again!!

Weyling H.

Yelp
True Vietnamese Restaurant A must go. Pricing still decent for Pho Waistaff allways on point

Lisa H.

Yelp
I thought this was a Thai place when it was suggested to me as a dinner destination, but going on Yelp revealed it to be a Vietnamese joint. And not sure if the name is supposed to be a play on Tyson? Anyway, Thai Son was a snappy jaunt from the Roosevelt Avenue Jackson Heights stop. Two of us were seated quickly. We split the vegetarian spring rolls (small $5.25) as an appetizer and then I requested the grilled pork bun ($8.75) as my main. We also shared an order of the sauteed Chinese mushrooms with vegetables ($11.95) as a side.   The rolls were miniature and not particularly memorable. I'd try another appetizer next time. I was quite happy with my bun which had lots of tender pork and noodles though I was giving my dinner buddy's pho the occasional envious eye since it looked appetizing. The mushrooms were also rather tasty.  Service was okay, almost treading into brusque territory, but never rude or anything. Thai Son is not the place for lingering; they want you to eat and leave. And I wish they would itemize your receipt.
