Thai Thank You

This Thai place has never failed me ever. Delicious food. Fair prices. Awesome portions. 1100000000000/10…. No Thai, thank YOU!

Decent food, terrible packaging. Duck curry came in a flimsy plastic container, and the lime chicken was in styrofoam. The styrofoam container also had cuts in the top for venting. Who knows how much styrofoam went into the food. And these days with how much we know about the dangers of microplastics, no restaurant should be pouring hot soup into plastic containers. Ramen shops use the paper containers and only have plastic lids...not perfect but it's better. Thai thank you goes the cheapest possible route to give us the worst packaging. Since they jack up menu prices by 3 dollars per item on uber eats, you think they'd invest in some quality packaging. The lime chicken was strange. It was easily 2x the amount of breading Vs chicken. I was often eating huge hollow bites of breading by itself. The duck curry tasted very good. Order at your own risk.

So please I feel scam for the chive dumplings. The dough is very thick compared to the filling very skim. The most hurtful is Pad see ew. How come that the noodle is not even a roll but a cut and they didn’t stirred fry with egg but egg flakes on the top? Tasteless, I couldn’t finish and throw to the trash. But thanks for the kale. 🥬

Food tasted and smelled old, was soggy, salty, went straight to trash. About $50 for one appetizer and 2 entrées. Never again. I hate to give bad reviews for independent places and people who are struggling, so I hope this ends up being constructive and opens their eyes.

I visited this restaurant last week and I was excited to eat some Asian food because I craved it. They overcharged me and gave me a smoothie instead of bubble tea and tried convincing me "this is our bubble tea." I asked for a refund; they made it seem like they refunded me but the money was never put back on my card from last weekend. I ordered a combo rice and the egg rolls were supposed to come with the rice but they charged me separately. They definitely cheated me out of my money. Their sweet and sour sauce tastes like apple cider vinegar. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Negative 10 stars 🤩

Green Curry is my favorite curry. I’m not sure what I received from Thai Thank You. It had NO green curry flavor at all. Just.tasted like coconut milk. Literally the worst curry I’ve ever had. So disappointed.

Best Pad Thai ever ! I tried Chicken Pad Thai and my friend got Panang Curry with Tofu. We were so impressed with the quality of food. The prices are fair for the portion size. Always delicious. Always a great spot to get great food. - Tina S.

The best tofu and pad Thai I have tried in my life. The chefs cook so fast it's crazy! I never order from any other Thai restaurant ever. Peanut sauce is amazing as well. Addicting restaurant and will always recommend to others!

Was in the area around lunch time for an eye exam and this place was a couple doors down so decided to grab some lunch. Upon entering I noticed they have the entire restaurant blocked off with a desk and chairs and only have carry out which was a little strange to me because I thought mostly all restaurants with indoor seating was fully back open for Inside dining, but I guess not here, so Ok anywho I see someone in the back but was not initially greeted so I grabbed a menu on the makeshift desk and looked it over. Seen they had lunch options so decided to order the Pad Woo Sen with an egg roll. I wasn't impressed. The Pad Woo Sen was extremely sticky/gummy. I mean to the point when eating a fork full I picked up half the order. I had to use a knife to separate the noodles which I do not normally have to do at other Thai restaurants, so not not sure if they cooked them too long or what but I've definitely had better. The egg roll was Ok, portion was Ok and but not what I was expecting as far as food quality. I would pass on this place for Thai food and just stick with who I know offer quality Thai.

Coworkers and I ordered from here and we have it an average score of 3 out of 5. The egg roll in the lunch special was small and left much to be desired. I ordered orange chicken and had mixed feelings on the way they cooked it. Some pieces are ROUGH and chewy and the exterior is soft and mushy. It makes for an odd combination. The pad Thai was average and my other coworker said her food was meh. I think it depends on what you order because the seasoning, and flavor is pretty good. It's the execution that I think varies throughout our meals we ordered out.

We ordered 1 appetizer and 2 entrées. Couldn't eat them - went to the trash - they were horrible: smelled and tasted old, were soggy, super salty, disgusting. Worst Thai food I ever had in Chicago. $50 thrown away.

The food is pretty mediocre to be honest. I got the pad khee mao lunch special with crab Rangoon. The crab Rangoon barely had any filling but fried nicely. The noodles themselves could've been a little saucier. Not the biggest fan of the massive jalapeño chunks. For the price, it's not bad but I probably wouldn't come back.

I ordered a mango smoothie, broccoli and beef, crab fried rice, and received a free order of crab rangoon. The beef and broccoli had an incredibly overwhelming taste of ginger. The crab fried rice had a smoky flavor and tasted like it was made on a dirty grill....the crab rangoon and mango smoothie were fine, but nothing to brag about. Overall, I would not recommend this place and I won't be coming back. If I could go back in time, I would order somewhere else.

I was excited to try this place especially when I saw they have papaya salad. I also ordered their Goey See Me and unfortunately both order lacked the extra spicy request I asked. The Papaya salad tasted like the veggies were unwashed and very old. Super disappointed. The Goey See Me was okay I enjoyed the amount I was given but it was too sweet for my liking which I figured it would taste like that but that is why I asked for spice but there was none. I want to give this place another shot since I haven't tried their other dishes, but I'm not going to be running back anytime soon.

Very Thai! BYOB. Less than $10 Entrees. Yay! I appreciate the TAMARIND SAUCE on veggie fresh roll. Thank you. Bouncy, chewy noodles on PAD SEE EW. Perfectly steamed broccoli. Decent beef. LOVE the $7.95 Lunch Special as it is what reeled me in instead of going home to eat.

This is my go to take out spot for comfort food. The red curry, pad Thai, pad see eiw, and crab Rangoons are my favorite. The food always comes hot, staff is friendly, and they are always ready with the food in 15-20 mins. I've had the sesame chicken a few times and always good, very meaty chicken pieces, but I always feel like the sauce is missing something flavor wise. IMO noodles and curry are the way to go here.

Great fresh food! We ordered vegan options and they did an amazing job. Will order again!

Absolutely phenomenal! We ordered five things and each bite was more delicious than the last. Crab rangoon and shrimp in a blanket were crisp and bursting with flavor. The garlic chicken was divine. Chicken pad Thai was heavenly. And we saved the best for last. This sesame chicken is the best I've had in the city and I've done my fair share of eating. It's perfect in every way. Order on their website for free food with orders over $20. It's affordable (especially the lunch specials) and delicious. My only regret is not eating here more.

Short headline: this place has absolutely delicious and authentic Thai food! I lived and worked in Bangkok for 2 years and really appreciate when Thai restaurants in the United States do it correctly, and Thai Thank You really does it super well. When we order Thai, we usually order for dinner and for lunch/dinner the next day. So we ordered 2 orders of Bahmee Wonton, 2 orders of Som Tam Thai, Larb Kai, and 2 sticky rice (which wasn't on the menu but they were kind enough to add on from the staff's personal stash), and because our order was over $30, we had a choice of an extra meal so we chose the Pad Thai Kai (chicken). All of it was superb and the prices were better than other Thai restaurants in Chicago. However, when we received our delivery (earlier than estimated as well), we opened the bag to find that one of our Som Tam orders wasn't in the bag. I called Kat to let her know, and she discovered the mistake. She sent the Som Tam over and she added a personal note of apology, and a free can of Coke as well! Exactly the type of friendly, kind service you would expect from Thai people, who are some of the kindest people on earth. They don't call it the Land of Smiles for nothing! We have found our neighborhood Thai restaurant, and will be ordering from Thai Thank You again really soon. Highly recommend!

I must admit...the exterior of this place isn't somewhere one would normally think they'd want to dine. It is at this point, still pick up or delivery only. Let's just say...don't judge a book (or restaurant!) by its cover. I have been eating Thai Thank You food since I moved to Chicago. Their food is excellent. The value is amazing. The quality...stellar. They have yet to mess up my order...not once. There's a LUNCH SPECIAL 11-3 for $7.95 which includes an appetizer & entrée. If you love Thai...give it a try!

Great food and service try the curries there amazing and the egg rolls and Thai tea . Will grab food again

ordered the pad se ew, papaya salad, and shrimp dumplings. the salad had a vinegar dressing with a lot of garlic that was really unpleasant, the dumplings were soggy and gross, and the pad se ew was average. would definitely not order from here again

This review is for a delivery order. We ordered Bamee Noodle Soup, along with two Strawberry smoothies with boba. Our order arrived, and we got the two Strawberry smoothies, but instead of the Bamee, we got A BOTTLE OF WATER. Unsure in what world a bottle of water is a suitable substitute for an actual meal, but definitely made me wish I had checked Yelp ratings before ordering.

The food was good, the chicken satay was tasty, the peanut sauce was well made, smaller portion than most restaurants. The fried rice with beef needed a bit more flavor, but I appreciate the eggs on top, most Thai places do not do this. The one draw back was the portion size, I have never ordered Thai food where I finished it all and had no left overs ‍.

First and foremost, if you're in your mid-twenties, you'll love the flashback to middle school musical hits, like the Red Hot Chili Peppers! The atmosphere is so chill and lowkey, and the staff are extremely friendly and let you sit wherever you please. The menu is so cheap! I felt like I was stealing from them! The food was also delicious, I got the Thank You fried rice, and my friend got the green curry. The green curry was rich and creamy just like green curry should be, with plentiful bamboo shoots, wilted greens, and tofu. My fried rice was also great, but I had hoped it would have had more chili paste to make it spicier, but all of the vegetables were cooked to perfection. The carrots were easy to bite into, and the peas were still full of life and burst in my mouth when bit into. Thank you, Thai Thank You!

My go-to Thai place! I moved 2 miles away several months ago and nothing by my new place compares. The Pad Thai and Tom Yum Noodle Soup are my favorites. Very flavorful and balanced dishes. I will always get take-out from Thai Thank You!

Hello saltbomb. I ordered the Shanghai noodles and while tasty, it was way too salty. Moreover the salt wasn't dispersed evenly and you could see parts of the noodles missing soy sauce and parts with way too much. The shrimp and veggies in it were tasty though. I also tried a couple bites of the veggie fried rice which I liked better. As others have noted, the portions here are huge. I thought the customer service was really nice, but it was too hot in the restaurant.

So we ordered the Panang Noddle and it was just fried noodles. The pineapple fried rice was good. The Pai Thai was ok, but disappointing. The crab ragoons did not have enough filling.

Consistently good Thai food, before and during Covid. Spicy basil chicken is always a good stand by. Green curry is great as well. Staff is always a pleasure. Don't understand the bad reviews.

Came here with my friends yesterday. Ordered a variety of things including Papaya Salad, chicken Tom Yam soup, Rama Chinken and spicy basil with ground chicken (this's my fav). All of them were tasty. And the waitress was very nice and carried a good smile. DON'T WAIT! Let's try AMAZING FOOD here.

This is our favorite Thai place. Delicious, reliable. Great curries. I always get the yellow curry with tofu. It's excellent

I live right around the corner and this is our go to spot when we need late dinner. We love the fried shrimp shumai and orange chicken. Our order is ready quickly and is always delicious! :)

Large portion lunch entrees. Loved the Pad Kee Mao, they did not skimp on the noodles. Great and entertaining service.

Update #2. Good food/bad service. I've been to Thai Thank you about 12+ times and the service has been marginal to bad every time. Always a disappointment to go there to dine in. The place is always freezing cold and the water glasses are small...which is annoying because the food is salty and spicy. The food is good and I do recommend the kitchen part but there is no reason to dine in unless you have very low standards. Soup is very good.

This is the best Thai food in the city. Every time I come here I'm impressed by the quality of service and the food. It's not just the taste, which is really great, but also the beautiful arrangement of the food. Don't be fooled by the exterior of the place. Let the food speak for itself. If I'm in the neighborhood I always come here. Also their lunch special is such a great deal!

I ordered this through Grubhub last night as I was ravenous at 8 pm and was craving Thai comfort food. I ordered quite a few things, thinking I would save some and eat them at work today. I ordered tempura (shrimp and vegetables), wonton soup, tom kha, sticky rice in banana leaves, and it came with crab rangoon complimentary with the app (so that was a bonus!) I got the food and was so excited to dig in. I attacked the crab rangoon first, which were fine, but I the skin of it was so tough and crunchy it was difficult to enjoy. I then had some tempura which was also great, but something about it made my stomach start to ache so I had to stop. Finally, I had some of the wonton soup. I am a wonton soup junkie and I had to admit I was super disappointed in the one item I was most excited to get. The wontons inside made me feel nauseated and the broth itself was very plain with nothing but one giant leaf floating inside. I ended up putting my food up, a little bit sad that I had placed this particular order here. Perhaps there are other items on the menu that are better to try, but I am not sure if I will be back after that experience :( Which is sad, as I live nearby and love Thai food. Update: tried the tom kha and I am so nauseated I can't finish it :( I am not sure if I had a bad batch of things or what, but I am really disappointed in this experience.

This is our neighborhood Thai place and I haven't had a bad meal here since my first time in 2012. I've eaten here, picked up, and had delivery. I recommend their Thai thank you noodles and their pot stickers. My husband loves their basil chicken.

I've ordered delivery from here two times and I was not left disappointed. Their pad thai is great...a little light on chicken but that is expected with its lower than normal cost compared to other thai restaurants. The portion was sizeable and more than enough for two meals. The yellow curry with rice had a slight kick but was very flavorful. The rice was prepared well too. The crab rangoon appetizer was crisp and delicious. I would definitely order from here again!

I guess I really should be saying " Thank You " what a great Thai restaurant this is. I get to check this one off my list since it's byob ... the service was very very friendly .. let's get to the food , had the wings , pretty good , Tom yum soup .. I'm going to say it ... this is the best dam Tom yum soup in the city , had the thank you noodles .. unbelievable dish .. a must order , egg rolls pretty good as well !! I know folks , pho spicer Thai is a couple doors down , but I'm telling you go here , give this place a try you just might have a new favorite Thai restaurant in the city !!!!

Excellent food! They have a 'Main' chef and a 'jr' chef. Jr chef is good - Main chef is the bomb!!! Either way - it's good food and they alway deliver really fast.

They have the best yellow curry in the city The rest of their menu is wonderful delivery or eat at their restaurant. We visit once a week and can't get enough!

Seriously the best Thai food in the area and my favorite place to go. The panang curry is the absolute best I've ever had and a staple item every time I go.

My new favorite Thai!! Great food in a warm, quiet room, prepared with care and love and served by friendly family! Every dish is delicious, beautifully presented, and I like seeing the kids doing their homework in the dining room. Prices are very reasonable, too!

I came here for dinner Friday for a friend's birthday. I was surprised by how empty the place was. This is a solid Thai resturant. The staff is so nice, friendly, and helpful. It seems like they really care about their customers. The space was comfortable, clean, and nice. The food is delicious and inexpensive. Among the 3 of us we had crab rangoon, chicken potstickers, Pad Thai, Panang Curry, and Basil chicken, and our total pre tip was $30. I didn't try the Panang curry, but it looked good. Everything else I can tesitfy did taste good. The basil chiken was a bit spicy, but I loved it. It had a good amount of vegetables, chicken, sauce, sweet and spicy flavor. Now that I'm writing this review, I could really go for more of this. Oh,and the food was all a good size. They don't skimp. Oh, and bonus they are BYOB!

Small Thai restaurant with nice lunch specials. Delivery available through various apps. They have good food, but service is hit or miss while dining in. Some servers are better and more polite than others.

The best! A Sunday night tradition. The Penang Curry is so good, and the egg rolls are the best in the city!

Consistently decent food. Some dishes much better than others, so best to stick with the classics. On more than one occasion, it has taken the restaurant 35-40 minutes for them to prepare a simple pick up order when only two or three tables were in use, which is why I took off a star, otherwise would've given a four star review.

Their name is a play on words(WHY thank you). They have only been open for three weeks and their entrees are perfected and highly consistent, appetizers are to-die for, and service on the weekends is very knowledgeable and friendly(always giving out free stuff to returning customers). I recommend Thank you noodles and fried rice, all their curries, especially the duck curry, Pad thai is alright, Pad Seew is pretty good. EVERYONE who likes Thai food should go here!!! I really love thai food this restaurant. I order Papaya Salad,Fried Chicken and Duck Noodles that's very nice and original Thai tasty. If you looking for original Thai food I recommend Thai Thank You Restaurant in your choices!!!!

I am a Thai food fanatic, and eat the cuisine multiple days a week. I love Thai Thank You not just because the food is consistently delicious, but also because of the PORTION SIZE. I have a big appetite and struggle to be satisfied with many restaurants' portion sizes, especially when you're paying such a competitive price. These guys never disappoint. Large dishes, and they do not skimp on the ingredients, plenty of meat and veggies. They also know what spicy means! I ask for spicy, and I get it! Try the green curry chicken, some of the best around, the Yum Woonsen, and Chili Pepper. I eat here as much as I can, and if you love delicious Thai food, at a great price, you should too.

I order Pad Thai and bubble tea from this place regularly. They have the best bbq pork of Thai in Chicago (in my opinion). The orders are always made to delivery super fast and if they are ever out of a bubble tea flavor they always make sure to call to make sure I get another flavor I like.

The best Thai restaurant in the city, hands down. The food is fresh, flavorful and consistently delicious. Staff is always lovely, and delivery is fast, and the food steaming hot. Cannot recommend highly enough!

I'd give it 3.5 stars if I could. The flavor was delicious, but I have one major problem. When I order a salad that's supposed to have shrimp on it, and I get one shrimp, I can see why the prices are fairly affordable here. I also ordered a noodle dish that was supposed to have shrimp on it, and there were only two shrimps. Two. And one million noodles. So if you're looking for much protein with your dishes here, you may want to consider another restaurant. However, I can't repeat enough how delicious the flavor was on both dishes. Really yummy. But the lack of protein was a real let-down.

I had recently moved to the neighborhood, and was absolutely shocked and delighted to find out how good this local place was. I've only sampled 4 things from the menu so far, but from what I must say this place is LEGIT! You know you're in a place that takes real Thai food seriously when they (optionally) put the salted/pickled crab in your green papaya salad. Really, really savory, not to mention authentic. Both my lady friend and I agree that this place has the best take-out Thai curry we've had. Crazy inexpensive, too.

Thai Thank You serves up your standard staple of Thai cuisine, and it does so pretty well. I stopped by on a cold and rainy afternoon to warm up and dry off. The place is BYOB, which is great, especially now that Bitter Pops is walking distance from TTY. The prices are cheap compared to most Thai places that I've tried in Chicago. Most main dishes come in at less than $9, and you get a lot of food as well. The noodle dishes are my favorite, and when you say that you want it spicy, they actually listen, which is a nice change of pace. I'd probably head back there if I'm in the area and craving Thai food, but it's not quite close enough to become one of my regular haunts.
