Great Thai food with very friendly staff. The inside was practically empty with only 1-2 other parties dining. Definitely check out if you want good food for great value. Food: -Summer rolls were light, fresh, and had a great peanut dipping sauce -Pad thai was delicious and portion size was huge -Drunken noodles were excellent with good heat (medium spicy) -Guaytel talay (seafood noodle soup) had great flavor and tons of seafood. Came with some hot and sour sauce, chili flakes and crushed peanuts

Google
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – A Hidden Thai Gem! From the outside, Thai Town Cuisine looks like a modest little spot, but inside you’ll find incredible flavors. I came two days in a row—Massaman Chicken Curry the first day, Red Curry the second—and both were perfect. Portions are just right, flavors are authentic and balanced, and the vegetarian Thom Yum soup is amazing. Chef secret recipe. Friendly service, quick turnaround, and food made with care. A must-visit for Thai food.

Excellent crab rangoon with super sauce - just spicy enough with a hint of sour. Spring rolls were wonderful and served with thick peanut sauce. Padd Thai noodles had the spicy aftertaste and great balance of flavor Thom Yum soup was exceptional with lots of shrooms, meat, green beans and other veggies. Everything was excellent except the green tea.

Came after service - pleasantly surprised. Not much outside but the food was quite delicious, full of savory flavors. Food was gone before we remembered to take pictures

Google
Absolutely delicious! We ate here on our road trip and we wish we lived closer so we could eat here more often. The staff is wonderful and very hospitable. They offered to make our dishes vegan which was very thoughtful and we have never had a restaurant be so accomodating before! Both dishes were very reasonably priced. We got the Thai Town Ginger and Drunken Noodles and both were perfect. Definitely eating here again when we're nearby!

Google
I've been here several times, I've had something different every time, and it's always delicious. The food is very traditional so be careful when choosing your heat level, but if you don't like spicy any dish can be made without heat. I like that every meal can be made vegetarian as well as I sometimes like going with the tofu. The desserts are especially good. I highly recommend the sticky rice and ice cream or the roti rolls.

Google
Not the warmest phone service. The Thai Town chicken wings were actually good with a nice subtle flavor. The spring rolls were your usual flavored rolls. The Masaman curry was good, but I should have stuck with a thicker yellow curry, which was my mistake. However, the beef that I had added was dry and lacked flavor. The Pad thai noodles were... interesting. The shrimp had a funky taste. Other than the funky/weird shrimp that I set aside, it was a nice flavor with a tiny hint of sweetness.

Stopped there for a quick lunch on our way to the Indianapolis airport. The food was hot and fresh. The flavor was a little weak but still good. I will definitely go there again if I am in the area.

Yelp
- Hidden Gem with Authentic Thai Flavors! From the outside, Thai Town Cuisine is a very unassuming little Thai restaurant--but step inside, and you'll discover some excellent Thai cooking. I ate here two days in a row, and both meals were spot on. On my first visit, I had the Massaman Chicken Curry--rich, comforting, and perfectly spiced, with tender chicken and a beautiful balance of sweet and savory flavors. The next day, I came back for the Red Curry, and it was every bit as perfect--creamy, aromatic, and full of fresh vegetables and tender chicken. The portions were just right, the flavors invoking classic Thai cooking and the presentation inviting. The vegetarian Thom Yum soup is a must-try--bright, tangy, and sour, and the spring rolls are light and crispy perfection. The service is warm and welcoming, the food comes out quickly, and every dish tastes freshly made with care. Thai Town Cuisine may look modest from the outside, but inside, it's a true treasure. I can't wait to come back again.

Yelp
So the 4 stars is really for the lunch special because that's unbeatable!! The food is usually delicious here but the fried rice I got recently was not even Thai fried rice. It was a hodgepodge of veggies and herbs that are normally not in Thai fried rice. The shrimp in it wasn't seasoned either. Overall the meal wasn't bad just not the standard or taste I'm used to here.

Yelp
Stop by here for lunch on the way to the airport. Coming from Los Angeles, I think we're a little lucky because we have such a huge Thai population, and probably the best Thai food outside of Thailand. Their lunch specials are definitely a very good deal, And well worth the price. Their Tom Yum soup was so so, a little different and not used to what I'm eating in Thailand and in LA. I ordered the basil Thai fried rice, and it didn't come with basil, so that was very disappointing, and to be honest, not very good. The green curry was just average. Interesting choice of veggies in it, and lacked the bite I am used to.

Yelp
I came here for the first time for a quick lunch and it was so delicious. The lunch special is under $10 with a spring roll and bowl of soup to accompany a lunch entree. The Thai ginger tea was a great addition to my lunch. Quick service, as well, as I was in and out in less than thirty minutes. Can also pick different spice levels depending on your level you can handle. Would love to come here again, a hidden gem right off the highway.

Yelp
Best Thai in Indianapolis, it's extremely authentic and its even more affordable than any other place around. It's run by amazing people that keep the dishes authentic without ruining them and Americanizing them.

Yelp
Excellent atmosphere, very polite and personal server. I ordered the Tum Yum Shrimp soup (cup), summer rolls, and Phad Thai. First to arrive was the Tum Yum Soup, piping hot and so very flavorful. It was excellent. Follow was the Summer Rolls...I was surprised to receive 4 rolls...very tasty with peanut sauce. Lastly to arrive was the Phad Thai...I thought I ordered it with chicken but it arrived with shrimp. A little different to me but still very yummy. I almost finished my meal, but a common mistake for me is to order way to much. This restaurant has great reviews. I think you will enjoy it also. I'll be back for certain.

Tylong T.

Yelp
The food passes the test. I was in town for a couple days and need something quick. It was near the airport and my hotel. If you're ever in the area please come here and try their Panang Curry. Super delicious and flavorful!

Yelp
Very nice quiet clean place staff was polite and very helpful and the prices were not hard on the budget

Yelp
Food was very good and reasonably priced. Our waitress was the daughter of the owner of this family establishment. Cook from what I understand was grandma, so three generations working and keeping this spot going. Ambiance was it's a nice quiet spot, kind of looked closed from outside. Simple decor, but food made up for it. Waitress had me get Beef With Cashews instead of the chicken, I also got medium heat and it was just right!
google avatar

Torri B.

Yelp
Starting the year off with some much needed pho. Whenever I feel like I'm about to come down with something, I get some pho. The ambiance inside is bright colors, very chill, and no music was playing. It was quiet for a rainy evening. I stopped into Thai Town to place a to-go order of Guaytel Beef Pho and veggie spring rolls. Might I add that there are spice levels, no spice to Super Hot. I got medium spice for my guaytel, enough to give my taste buds a little kick. Noodles, vegetables, and beef broth are all packaged separately. So I had to do a little assembly at home, which is fine by me. Added little sides of sriracha sauce and little peanut bites (crumb pieces you see) can top off the dish. Mix it in and enjoy. The order took about 15 minutes' wait time. But you also have the option to call ahead, and they have a drive-thru for a people on the go! Definitely give them a try. I will be back to enjoy some more!

Brian K.

Yelp
I didn't expect to get great Thai food in this town but it was really really good. I got there late and there weren't any people in the place, but they served me and I finished right at closing time. They do take out as well. If you like Thai cuisine, CHECK OUT THIS PLACE. (I almost didn't find it as I incorrectly assumed it was in the shopping center. It isn't. It's in its own building right on the road.)

Yelp
Hubby and I were visiting my sister in Indy for the day. We followed the advice of fellow yelpers and stopped in at Thai Town for lunch. Like other reviewers, we were very pleased. The restaurant is spacious, yet still has a cozy, pleasant feel. It was attractively decorated and the dining area was clean. We enjoyed our lunch specials of spicy Tom Yum soup, spring roll, tofu pad Thai and drunken noodles. Everything was served piping hot and delicious! The noodles were perfectly cooked, the vegetables tender-crisp, the sauces not too salty, not too sweet. The serving sizes were generous and we kept eating until almost uncomfortably full....just because it was all so delicious. My sister said that Thai Town will now be on her family's list of favorite restaurants and we will be happy return next time we are in Indy!

Yelp
We placed an order last night at 8:30. The location closes at 9. We had just landed on a flight into Indy and saw that they had a high rating. I asked a friend to go pick it up. She arrived at 8:50 and the doors were locked and the lights were off. Luckily she was able to get our order in the drive thru. The food was definitely tasty. I just wish she had a better experience picking it up for me.
google avatar

Sheila K.

Yelp
Ordered for pick up. Got the dumplings, satay, rangoons, pad Thai, drunken noodles, and Thai town fried rice. Unfortunately this is really terrible food. The dumplings were decent, but everything else had no flavor at all. Not a Thai restaurant in the least. Would not recommend and will never come back.

Yelp
It's been more than two years since my first visit and review of this great restaurant. Although they are still operating carry-out only since pandemic, this is the place I keep going back to. Orders are usually ready in 15 minutes or less, and orders are always accurate although menu items have variables (choice of meat and spice level). My order has been always accurate. I noticed they raised prices by a dollar or two, however Thai Town continues to be the best value restaurant for me, because they give you a massive amount of food. Every time I order my pad Thai dinner the box is just so heavy. It easily serves two people, if not three!

Yelp
BEST THAI FOOD IN INDY!!! I have tried probably every Thai restaurant in town, and Thai Town takes the cake. I am a big soup person, and Tom Kha is my favorite soup ever. I try it at every Thai place I go to, and no place is ever as good as this spot!! Full of flavor every time!! My sister and I have food allergies, and Thai Town is always so good about following directions when it comes to this! Will continue to go to this restaurant as long as I live in Indy!
google avatar

Omar G.

Yelp
Tom tum soup!!! The best!!!! Best thai food in the whole state I take my family there at least once a week green curry and spicier pad thai is my favorite and mi kids love the tropical fried rice also the deserts are delicious! Service is always great carry out and dine in. Cheaper than other thai places! More flavor! Bigger portions! Wont disappoint
google avatar

Rebecca L.

Yelp
It was a cold, snowy day and Thai food sounded good. Since Thai Town is near my work, I decided to go back and see how they were faring during these pandemic times. They are open for carry out only. You either call or place the order online and then go to their drive up window on the north side of the building. My food was promised in 20 minutes and it was ready as promised. I got the Eggplant lunch special which includes Tom Yum soup and a spring roll. The lunch size order is plenty of food and it was only $7.25! Everything was hot and tasty and it warmed the snow-sized hole in my heart.

Yelp
Went to eat here with a group of people and everyone enjoyed their food. Service was sparse. No one asked if we needed anything or asked how we liked our food. However, food came quick. The restaurant is very run down and there was no AC. Food 5/5 Service 3/5 Location 2/5

Yelp
Thai town is a hidden gem in the Plainfield/Avon area! I discovered this business when I started working in the general area. The menu has a wide variety of options and is very customizable as well as vegetarian friendly. While they have a sit down restaurant they also have a drive through window. You can simply order your food online, make edits, choose your spicy and pay ahead of time. When you arrive you simply drive around to the window and there you go. They have always been super efficient with my orders and they are always right! Not to mention it's a great cost to amount of food ration. I'm always impressed with how much good I get. If you are looking for a quick, pick up Thai option in the area I highly recommend!

Bradcordia C.

Yelp
My husband and I had the pleasure of eating at this flavorful restaurant. We are originally from Louisiana, it can be challenging to appease our Cajun tastebuds lol. The food and service here were absolutely delicious!! I had the tropical chicken fried rice with perfectly fried pork, chicken and shrimp wontons. My husband ordered Thai chicken wings and chicken cashew stir fry. When I say delicious, it was!! Our server was tremendous!! The ambiance was very relaxed, the music was calming. Thank you Thai Town Cuisine for such a wonderful meal and exceptional service!!
google avatar

Kevin L.

Yelp
Staff was very friendly, food was amazing. Tried the summer rolls, madras curry with chicken, dumplings, wonton soup, and mango ice cream with sticky rice. Everything was very tasty - the wonton soup was far and away the best I've ever had. I am glad that I decided to randomly try this place and will definitely be coming back. 6/5 stars if possible.

Michelle W.

Yelp
Everything was AMAZING! We stopped by while driving through Indy and are so happy we picked Thai Town.

Allison C.

Yelp
I've been here once for dine-in and several for take out. My dine-in experience was good, it was during the day so it wasn't very busy but the waitress was attentive. I had chicken pad Thai that was really yummy! Would also recommend the drunken elephant noodles, which I've had many times. They also serve a Very generous amount of food during take-out so I usually have leftovers for next morning lol

r c.

Yelp
I had visited this place several years ago and was not impressed. The food was not very good and the portions were small, plus the place looked dirty. But today I decided to give it another try and was very glad I did. Visited for lunch, which included soup, spring roll, and entree for $8.95. The soup was very flavorful and the spring roll was good (would be nice to have a little dipping sauce for the spring roll), and the entree (drunken noodles) was also very good and a decent size portion. The place was also much cleaner looking. I am not sure if the ownership has changed but the experience today was much better. We will be back.

Yelp
We came to the city for a swimming meet; from IL; I tried a lot Thai food restaurants at US; this one is one of the best. I don't eat sugar, and then they won't put sugar inside for my meal; all the Thai foods needs put cane sugar for everything, including Soup. Most Thai restaurants will tell u the sauce and soup already made, can't do without sugar. The price is reasonable, and portions are also good! Beautiful and clean place; talked with the owner lady, working hard family! Best wishes for them! Next year, we will came back again!

Roy B.

Yelp
Worst Thai food I've ever had, absolutely the worst. Pad Thai was awful, vegetable spring roll was simply lettuce wrapped in rice paper
google avatar

Nicole H.

Yelp
This August was my first time coming here. It truly is some of the best Thai in the city (I haven't tried them all to save the best)! I got the pad Thai, a classic. It was really good! And the dinner portion was HUGE!!!! I have leftovers for sure. Also got the veg spring rolls. They are good (diff types of lettuce and cucumber inside) and the peanut dipping sauce is awesome. Roommate got the pad sewe (or pad se ewe) and liked it a lot also. No dine in at this time. It's a bit confusing, so go to the north side of the building where there is a drive thru window. When you arrive, call and they will open the window. Usually it seems pretty quick, but my wait was 25-30 min because they said a huge order was in front of me. I appreciate an almost contact-free dinner.
google avatar

Radha P.

Yelp
This place looked empty when we walked in so we were skeptical but, not wanting to be rude we stayed and decided to give it a go and "wow""... the best Tom Yum soup I ever had. So glad I stayed. We also ordered the Pad Thai and Tropical Fried Rice and we were really impressed. The serving size was generous and who doesn't love that? The BEST part which I cannot fail to mention is the SERVICE. Our service was super nice and did everything with a smile
google avatar

Susan R.

Yelp
Good gracious, I'm glad I stopped in! Great food and service on my way to the airport after a personal trip to the East Coast! I ordered spring rolls to eat here as well as ginger Thai tea. The tea is amazing! Actually, all the food is amazing! I ordered pad Thai chicken (hot) to go to the airport with me. I took a couple of bites so I could tell you about the spicy level---it's spot on imo!!! Great food, great service, I'll be back!

Brenda M.

Yelp
Amazing authentic Thai food made the way the 'family' eats! Hidden gem you're certain to enjoy! Superior service!

Yelp
We've eaten here several times in the past and today I needed Thai food close to home so I opted for Thai Town. The restaurant interior is nicely decorated with booths or 4-top tables. We were warmly greeted as we entered and let select where we wanted to sit. Lunch is served Monday - Friday from 11:00 - 3:00 p.m. Lunch entrees (13 options) include a delicious spring roll and spicy, vegetarian Thom Yum soup. I was disappointed they did not offer any type of dipping sauces for the egg rolls. Pork and chicken entrees are very affordable at $7.25 with beef and shrimp at $8.25. My husband ordered the Hot Thai Fried Rice with onions, tomatoes, green onions and egg. He questioned if it was truly their hot compared to other Thai restaurants we visit. Regardless, he enjoyed but questioned if he should order the Thai hot next time. I ordered the Drunken Noodles with fresh, wide noodles that are stir fried with bok choy, tomatoes, broccoli, basil, bell peppers and mushrooms. It was perfectly acceptable but I found it lacking flavor. I just remember it being outstanding in the past. I highly recommend you order the Banana Roti Rolls ($6) which is Asian flatbread (like a puff pastry) pan-fried slowly in butter, topped with sweetened condensed milk and sugar then rolled up with a banana inside. Decadent and truly worth the calories. They didn't bring plates for the dessert so we had to eat off the serving dish which was awkward. We tried asking for plates but they had disappeared back into the kitchen. Affordable, good service and the food ranges from average to good. We both left remembering past experiences being outstanding but this trip was not memorable.

Yelp
Best Thai food I've ever had. Got a seafood soup and summer rolls. Nice service, very polite

Yelp
I don't know how this place got such good reviews. When I got there, customers were leaving bc the workers were sleeping inside. I didn't know how terrible this place was and called ahead to pick up. I found dish scrubber in my food. See pictures. Will never order here ever again.
google avatar

Niki B.

Yelp
All Thai food is a win in my book! Thai Town was a spot I recently discovered from their great Yelp reviews. Unassuming from the outside, this spot is festive and cute on the inside. And exceptionally authentic. The lunch menu is a great deal and offers a fried spring roll and Thom Yum soup in addition to your entree. I ordered the Pad Seuw - big stir-fried noodles with broccoli, garlic, kale, egg, and chicken. It was delicious and I even had leftovers. Our server was very quick, friendly and made accommodations when one of us had an allergy. I'll be back!

Yelp
Found Thai Town Cusine through Yelp - and loved seeing their Yelp sticker on the window encouraging reviews. It was a quick drive from our hotel on Rockville Rd. Upon entering my co-worker and I were greeted right away and told we could sit anywhere we'd like. The restaurant is fairly large with plenty of booths and tables for guests. My friends often post pics of their thai iced tea so I wanted to experience it as well. It was creamy and spicy. I also indulged in hot thai coffee which has cream and sweetner. As someone who doesn't add sugar to coffee, I worried it would be too sweet but it was delicious. I even paid for a second cup. For starters I got the chicken satay. It came with 5 pieces of chicken and was cooked perfectly. The peanut sauce was a perfect blend of flavor and it paired nicely with the chopped cucumber. My chicken pad thai, ordered medium, had a lot of kick to it. My mouth and lips were tingling. A little much for me so I can't imagine the heat of the hot or thai hot sauce. The portion is large and could be easily split between 2 people. My co-worker ordered a fried shrimp dish with coconut milk but said the lime seasoning gave it a "fruit loops" flavoring. She left much of her dinner on the plate. Superb service and our server answered our questions about the dishes. I'd definitely visit again or recommend it to others. They are also open for lunch and have daily specials.

Yelp
Ehh I make an effort to eat at every Thai restaurant I see around town and it's usually a great experience. The food wasn't bad but it's not exactly what I expect in Thai street food.
google avatar

Adk W.

Yelp
The price is great compared to other Thai. It's not my favorite Thai place in the city, but when we are out west we stop and grab some curry. Pick up window is very convenient. Hasn't been super busy the times I've been there. Atmosphere is decent inside, it's not upscale but it's not dirty or super old. I will continue to eat here.
google avatar

Amber D.

Yelp
I'm traveling through and unfortunately I cannot give this place a 5 star review. The food was okay, honestly it was a bit too sweet for me. The service was okay, but the place was dead. Literally, only a few people in the place. The location was not the best and kind of uncomfortable. The place was older, so the ambiance is what you would expect in a place that's in a weird location. The prices were excellent so I would honk a four star review is adequate.
google avatar

Cassie T.

Yelp
Surrounding area a little run down. The pad ka prow was spot on and i especially made the trip out here because the craving hit real bad and of Yelp reviews. Yelpers know, thanks y'all! Place is right off the main road and not in the strip mall area. For some reason i drove right by it perhaps the sign wasn't big enough or granny here needs her eyes checked. The worker was sweet. I find most workers friendly but this one was genuinely waaaay nice, from phone call to pick up. Venue spacious and casual. Came around 3pm and it wasn't packed. My dish lasted me two servings and came with rice. (I hate it when places charge extra for rice. Asinine practice i tell ya.) Glad to have found another solid Thai restaurant.
google avatar

Crissy R.

Yelp
I was so glad to have discovered this place for my overnight stay in Indy. Authentic Thai food cuisine at its finest. I had a craving for something spicy and panang curry was the perfect choice. Located behind a PNC bank, there is plenty of parking. Upon entering the place was not overly crowded and I was seated immediately. The waitress was very sweet, friendly and very attentive. I loved that they had the option for a smaller portion of panang as I opted for a side order of dumplings as well. My food was brought out rather quickly along with the Thai tea I ordered. The aroma of my food was enough to make my mouth water. The curry was perfectly spiced and paired well with the side of rice. The dumplings were delicious and steamed to perfection. From start to finish everything was spectacular. I definitely look forward to coming back when in the Indianapolis area.

Yelp
Real Thai people serving real Thai food! There is no good reason this place isn't full right now except people don't know about it. I have Padd Thai with beef, Thom Yum soup with chicken, Thai Iced Tea, and a little Sirachi sauce to change it up a little while eating. They have about 5 levels of spicy hot to choose and I got "Hot" which is in the middle and I bet most Americans would like. Finally I must say again you will like the friendly Thai servers who appreciate the business and can help as you make your selections.
google avatar

Lucas P.

Yelp
Fantastic Pad Thai, haven't dined in yet but they are fast with their carry out orders and always pleasant. Definitely recommend!
google avatar

Vanessa B.

Yelp
Got there at 11am today and food was out in 5mins. I was told 11:30-1:30 are there busiest times. Tried the eggplant lunch today and was very happy with it. As always service was very friendly and efficient.
google avatar

Chad J.

Yelp
Great no-frills Thai food that is pretty close to the real thing. I have been to Thailand on several occasions, and while there are definitely fancier options out there available in Indianapolis, the flavors here are great and the prices are good. The same server works most the time serving all of the tables, and she always greets you with a friendly "Sawadee Ka!" (hello) even when she is slammed. It's one of those places that has a simple charm, is affordable, and churns out great food. It has all the elements of Thailand!
google avatar

Shawniece H.

Yelp
As with all other Thai restaurant reviews that I write, I feel I must admit my dependence on Thai food. I've tried just about every option in Indy. Thai town ranks pretty high in my book. I have only tried takeout, but I feel like that's harder to get right than when you can hand someone their plated food hot out of the kitchen. With that being said, on my last trip to Thai Town, I officially had my socks knocked off. I ordered the panang, hot, with beef. I headed home to my couch, a movie night, and panang. It was SO GOOD. I live about 10minutes away, it was still warm, perfectly spicy, and very flavorful. It was so good, I ate my leftovers for breakfast! That's right, I woke up, passed on the bacon and eggs, and made a beeline for the spicy curry and rice. If you don't mind the drive out to Plainfield, definitely check them out.

Yelp
Hours not updated. Seems this business is permanently closed or at best just not operating efficiently. We were looking for a good meal and they showed open but the building looks abandoned

Yelp
We came here for lunch. Definitely one of the best Thai restaurants in Indy. The lunch menu is reasonably priced. You get a soup and a spring roll. The service is fantastic. She is so nice and friendly and has a great laugh. The food is delicious. Everyone I was with really liked it.

Austin O.

Yelp
High quality food at a reasonable price. The mild is about ideal if you want a little kick but no pain.
