The Best Restaurants in Sugar Land, Texas | Eater Houston

"One of the newer additions to Sugar Land’s dining scene, Thai Town serves up flavorful dishes rooted in the family recipes of owner Ami Mohn and chef Jakkrit Sampaotong. Diners can dig into red curry, drunken noodles, tom kha soup, and classic pad Thai. The drink list is just as varied, with options like Thai iced coffee, a lemon drop mocktail, and bottles of Kirin Ichiban." - Brianna Griff

I was recommended by a fellow coworker, and I've been craving Thai food ever since. Everything was wonderful, from the service to the food. I got the garlic crispy catfish filet, which was perfectly season and crispy. I also ordered drunken noodles with tofu and medium spice that was just the right amount of spice for me. Can't wait to come back and try the other dishes!

Came here to celebrate Father’s Day. It was packed! Obviously a popular local spot. The food was delicious, very well seasoned and flavorful! The service was also good. The food came out quick and fresh. Would recommend this spot if you enjoy Thai food in the area.

This was my first time trying Thai Town. I loved this place. The restaurant is cute and cozy. The red was empty but got packed very quickly. Service was amazing. Staff was very friendly. Our server was Thy N. I loved her. She gave me her recommendations on what to eat and she did not disappoint. She was so helpful and honest! We even talked about my trip to Thailand. The food was fresh, came out quick and so delicious! We also ordered Thai tea. My mom loved it! Their mango sticky rice was also delicious!

Enjoyed dishes, all super yummy. The staff are all attentive and so courteous. Jui S. and Bella were lovely with prompt service and sweetness and even asked to box our leftovers! Will come back for food and overall fabulous dining experience!

This place is exceptional! The food at Thai Town rivals some our favorite Thai spots in NYC. The Papaya Salad and Khao Soi are a must try. Shout out to Ariya and Chelsea, y'all are doing great. To the owners, thank you for opening such delicious Thai eatery. I wish you all the greatest success. We will definitely be back the next time we are in the area.

I recently visited Thai Town Eatery and Bar for my first-ever experience with Thai cuisine, and it was absolutely delightful! I tried the Pad Thai, Tom Yum, and Thai rice, and all three dishes were bursting with flavor. The Pad Thai was perfectly balanced—savory with just the right hint of sweetness. The spicy soup had an amazing kick without being overwhelming, and the Thai rice was aromatic and delicious. As someone new to Thai food, I appreciated how approachable the dishes were while still being authentically bold. The ambiance of the restaurant was inviting, and the service was attentive and friendly. I can’t wait to explore more of their menu on my next visit! Highly recommend this place for anyone, whether you're a Thai food lover or trying it for the first time.

The red curry was flavorful and each bite with the steamed rice was spicy and delicious (got the Thai heat), I will also say the beef drunken noodles were phenomenal, it was probably the best one I’ve had to this point. Shrimp dumplings were unique and also very good, will definitely be here again
