This is more of a 4.5 stars review.
Thai VP is located in the strip mall restaurants area that is behind/east of Crossroads Mall. It's my first visit and take-out order from them. All 5 dishes were a hit.
When I see delicious and plentiful sauces, I always try to take advantage of it by adding more veggies at home. This was the case for all 4 of the main dishes. I never modify the sauce itself, just more ingredients to absorb that flavorful goodness. Two of my photos are the "originals". The next four is as-served after modifications at home. All the dishes turned out super good and extra, extra plentiful. Some became two meals.
The Food:
Summer Eggplant with Soft Tofu - 5 Stars
I ordered this as a 5 stars spicy and added broccoli, Chinese mushrooms, bell peppers at home. I sizzled the mushrooms first in the sauce, added the veggies, then warmed the rest in the same pan. It was perfection in now a two-days serving.
Pumpkin Curry with Chicken - 4.5 Stars
Added broccoli, Chinese mushrooms at home and served over brown rice. The sauce is deliciously plentiful and adding the veggies really took advantage of this dish. This is a more unique Thai dish, less common elsewhere.
Devil Lamb Curry - 4.5 Stars
Added broccoli, Chinese mushrooms, bell peppers at home and served over brown rice. This is also a unique one amongst Thai restaurants. The taste was good too. The ingredients were a bit light, primarily a few pieces of potatoes so added the veggies was a great idea. When re-heating, I kept the lamb out till the last two min, then stirred them in to warm.
Curry Seafood - 4 Stars
Added Chinese mushrooms, bell peppers, and brown rice at home. I order this as 5 Stars spicy. Adding the rice directly into the sauce made every bite super flavorful. The seafood is fairly light, 2 prawns, 2 halves of a scallop, 1 piece of squid, and 1 green mussel. Next time, I'll add a touch more seafood too.
Mango Sweet Sticky Rice - 4 Stars
This was very good for flavor profile. I thought the sauce was a bit light/runny. I like it a tad thicker to stick to the rice better.
