The 22 Best Restaurants in Nashville

"L&L Market is a thriving shopping and dining destination for both locals and visitors. You can design your own hat, find Nashville souvenirs, and order cheese to be delivered to you on a plate on a conveyor belt (that last one is thanks to Culture + Co.). In one corner of L&L is a made-to-order Thai street food restaurant that is busy with neighborhood residents ordering curry, soup and noddle and rice dishes for takeout. Pick your favorite proteins, vegetables, and spice levels and tuck into a dish rich with distinctive flavors. Dining at Thai Ni Yom is like having someone make a meal for you at home. It takes some time, so order ahead for takeout or be patient and wander L&L’s storefronts while you wait." - Margaret Littman

Inside the market right across honest coffee roaster. Expect to pay close to $50 including tips and tax for a full course meal. Worth the price as to me, this is one of the more authentic thai food in Nashville area. The waiters take the time to explain the menu, always ask if you are not familiar with thai food. The dishes are great, the pork bell is so crispy and addicting, recommended!

Google
Thai Ni Yum is absolutely the best Thai food in the region and Nikki, her husband and staff are super kind and welcoming. This is real cooking made authentically by talented chef's so don't expect fast food speed. Trust the process and you'll be super happy you did. We love the little intimate dining area with fun art and cool vibes, go check it out. Let's do everything we can to support this great small business. Thanks to Thai Ni Yom! See you again soon. :)

Google
The best thai restaurant in Nashville. We are originally from Bangkok Thailand and can honestly say that their basil crispy pork is the best that we have had in the USA. Kana (Asian broccoli) is my son’s favorite. Service is also excellent, always with a smile. A must try.

Google
I would consider myself a Thai snob & I absolutely love this place! After 5 years of living in Nashville & trying all different locations, I will no longer go anywhere else. Staff is super friendly & food is fresh! I highly suggest stopping by! I always order the Pad Woo Sen with tofu & it’s amazing!

Google
I've been several times and have tried a few dishes. Everything I've had has tasted good and authentic. Service is always so pleasant and quick. Relatively small dining area but cute, comfortable and clean.

Google
Thai Ni Yom is such a great restaurant with authentic flavors and excellent service. We were so happy to have found this place during our first visit to Nashville! We ordered duck curry, pad-see-ew, and shrimp fried rice. My teenage children said that the food tasted just like in Bangkok! We were very impressed with how quickly we got our order and can't believe that a small restaurant can offer a variety of menu items. We will definitely come back to this place during our next visit from Minnesota!

Google
If I could give more than 5 stars I would. This is the most flavorful pad Thai and drunken noodles we’ve ever had (and we eat a lot of Thai) Great prices and service. This will definitely be our new spot!

Michaela Slown

Google
Thai Ni Yom is hands-down the best Thai food in Nashville. They put a new-age spin on traditional Thai cuisine. The portions are excellent, the service is wonderful, and the taste is superb. All of their dishes are fresh and made to order. I recommend the Pad Kee Mao or their new Fried Chicken Wings or honestly one of everything on their menu! Stop by for takeout or their new dine-in seating! You won’t be disappointed!

Yelp
Should be called Thai Ni Yum because this Thai food was delicious. The food is freshly made to order, and so on a busy Friday night. It took roughly 30 minutes to get our food. It was definitely worth the wait. I got the chicken basil dish with a 4 out of 5 heat. It was delicious, healthy and spicy. They even gave me extra spice (which I utilized). I was sweating before my meal was over. You can find this little spot inside the L&L Market in the "food area." Free parking in the back.

Yelp
NASHVILLE, TN 37209 / THAI / 02-07-24 / LUNCH +The pad thai was delicious. -The drink options are limited.

Yelp
I frequently visit this restaurant. I love the food I'll usually order the pad so ew with tofu, but I changed it up today and got the pad prig with tofu and a fried egg. It was AMAZING!!

Yelp
The food here was really tasty, and the service was friendly and helpful. Thai Ni Yom is inside the L&L Market, which is a small shopping mall with a variety of shops and restaurants. We arrived just as they were opening, and the woman was very helpful in letting us know which items were gluten-free. The Pad Thai was really overflowing with flavor. The chicken was moist and tender, which I have to say I found to be a rare treat. So often when I get Pad Thai or similar dishes the chicken is really dry and a bit tough. My wife and I were both super happy with our Pad Thai at Thai Ni Yom. I had the Fried Spring Rolls, which were good and surprisingly flavorful. My wife had the Fresh Rolls, which lived up to their name being really fresh and of great quality. My only minor complaint was that it took about 30 minutes for us to get our food. If I had been trying to squeeze my meal into a lunch hour, I would have been pressed for time. They weren't busy at the time, and they do make everything to order, but it seemed like a long wait. But they may have also not quite gotten up to speed yet since we arrived just as they were opening. Regardless, the food was fantastic and the service was friendly and helpful, so we'll definitely be back.

Yelp
Picture is indicative of how great the food was. We ordered the beef pad soon sen and the chicken pad Thai. Both were really good and flavorful. The pad soon wen was a bit saltier than I expected but not overwhelming. Price was a little high compared to what you'd expect at other Thai establishments, but given the location, and likely rent, it makes sense. A definite must try if you're in the area.

Eric T.

Yelp
What a great find! The food is all made fresh and is delicious. You can choose your level of spice and they actually listen to diners who ask for no spice or mild. The waitress we've had the past three times we've ordered has remembered us, and even remembered us when I placed a similar order for take-out over the phone...given how many customers they must have, that's incredible. It's been quiet to eat in the past few times and quite pleasant. Whole-heartedly recommend this little gem for authentic Thai cuisine!
google avatar

Yelp
This is by far one of my favorite Thai food restaurants in Nashville. The owners are so kind and accommodating to all food preferences and allergies. They have a wide range of Thai favorites on the menu such as pad thai, curry options, and more! Located right in the center of L&L Market, you can grab a quick coffee from Honest Coffee Roasters next door to go with your thai food, or even explore the surrounding shops! This restaurant not only has amazing food, it has a super fun atmosphere if you are looking to shop around!
google avatar

Alexandra G.

Yelp
This place is such a gem. They're very friendly and the pad Thai was some of the best I ever had. I did a pick up order this last time and it was ready in exactly the time they said and piping hot!

Yelp
I recently dined at Thai Ni Yom, the Thai food stall located inside L&L Market, and I must say that my experience left much to be desired. While the food itself was okay, I found it to be overpriced compared to other similar establishments. The aspect that disappointed me the most was the attitude of the waitress who took my order. She was rather rude, which greatly affected my overall dining experience. Customer service is an essential part of any dining establishment, and unfortunately, Thai Ni Yom fell short in this regard. Additionally, I was surprised to find out that they only had bottled water available for purchase, while other food stalls in the market offered complimentary cups of water. This made me question their priorities, as it seemed more focused on making money rather than providing a satisfactory experience for their customers. Considering my experience, I cannot wholeheartedly recommend Thai Ni Yom. While the food was passable, the rude service and lack of basic things like cups of water left a negative impression. There are likely better Thai food options available in the area that offer both quality cuisine and better customer service for a fraction of the cost

Yelp
Ordered the pad see ew with chicken at a 2/5 spice level. Pretty standard Thai food but the 2/5 spice felt like 4/5 spice, so I couldn't eat much of it until I toned it down a bit for leftovers. Overall well flavored, lots of seating options (indoor in the L&L Market area and outdoor patio), friendly staff. Took about 30 min to get the food around 7 pm. Definitely not the best Thai food in Nashville, but a good convenient bite.
google avatar

Emily A.

Yelp
Some of the best Thai food in Nashville! We got the pad Thai and red curry and they were both great! Also the market where the restaurant is located is so fun and cute!
google avatar

Andreas M.

Yelp
Food is decent, I would give it a 7. But,,, wow it's a poorly run place. There is no menu online, no website. I Called to order and asked for a list of dishes/menu and the guy told me I could google the restaurant and customers have posted pictures of some of the food online...I suggested they put a menu online and he said thanks for the suggestion and hung up. Douche.
google avatar

Jeff W.

Yelp
Abysmal quality of food. The garlic sauce dish tasted like week old fish sauce. Just gross. I'm not sure what is being used to flavor this dish but it's disgusting. The rice was hard, crunchy and painful to eat. Hours are weird. All around the worst Thai food in Nashville.

Marie C.

Yelp
BEST SERVICE BEST HIGH QUALITY THAI IN NASHVILLE you MUST TRY it Service time was very reasonable can't wait to go back These are the hardest working young couple we have ever met We need more people like this 5 star
google avatar

Yelp
We began getting take out here during the pandemic. Thai ni yom has consistently been delicious. We probably order once per month and have never had any problems. They can get busy so if you're wanting something super quick, this probably isn't your place. We like the pad Thai and pad see ew

Sarah Coleman Z.

Yelp
Best Thai in Nashville! My husband and I eat here once a week- sometimes more! We love it so much. Alex and Nikki are so kind and we have become friends because we are there so often. Definitely recommend for delicious food and good people!
google avatar

Yelp
I'm always excited for new Thai food and couldn't wait to try this place. It's a little stand in L&L market and it's worth hitting up. I have been twice now and had the pad Thai both times. I love that they use the thin rice noodles and that you can add veggies to it (can even specify if you just want broccoli, etc.). The flavor was good and the medium spice was actually medium, although I ended up adding more anyway with the chili flakes and sriracha-like sauce they give you on the side. The first time I had it it was cooked perfectly. The second time it was very watery and I was a little disappointed but it may be been because it was fresh off the stove and hadn't had a chance to sit yet. Word to the wise: better for takeout. Both times I ordered while I was there and it took 45min to an hour to get. I couldn't believe the second time was so long (50min) because we got there at 12:10 and they opened at 12. Definitely plan ahead!
google avatar

Caterina I.

Yelp
The menu says that pad se ew comes with Chinese broccoli, but I received regular broccoli... Also it was a bit salty. For me, I prefer pad se ew with a decent amount of black soy sauce so that there's a hint of sweetness, but this was mostly salty (too much golden mountain seasoning sauce). The pad kee mao said it was supposed to come with mushrooms, but no mushrooms in the dish. Two menu items that did not match the description. I know I am biased because I am very picky when it comes to Thai food, so take what I say with a grain of salt.
google avatar

Amy P.

Yelp
I was surprised that this location was not an actual, traditional restaurant, but it was inside this indoor mall type building. Although it was a surprise, the pad thai was really delicious. The portion was really large. I also tried the springrolls which were also really tasty! It was not too expensive either. I will definitely be back!

Anna S.

Yelp
All time favorite Thai food, best red curry ever!! Service is always quick and staff is kind!
google avatar

Alex V.

Yelp
I randomly stopped by L&L marketplace to see what all it had to offer. The parking was decent when I went which was slightly after the peek lunch period on a Saturday. The Thai restaurant seemed appealing to me mainly because of the great smells from the kitchen. I ordered the fried crab wontons with cream cheese and the pad see ew with beef. The crab wontons was one of the best versions I have ever had! The wonton was light and delicate packed full of flavorful filling. The pad see ew was definitely solid. The noodles were light with just the right amount of soy sauce and the beef was well cooked with a solid flavor. From a service perspective the food came about with 15 minutes... all of it very fresh and the lady behind the counter was more then polite. This will probably be my go to place for Thai in Nashville on a go forward!

Kelsey E.

Yelp
Love L&L so was really excited to try Thai Ni Yom! We came in on a Sunday night around 6:20pm and were told it would be a 30 minute wait for our food. That was fine, but the wait ended up being close to an hour. The pickup process could be a lot smoother since they call your name, but it's so hard to hear with the music. I've said this in other reviews, but it feels especially true here - sit down prices without the sit down experience. In order to have a place to sit, we had to clean up after someone else's Thai meal and then awkwardly try to eat curry out of a to-go container. A note for anyone with peanut allergies: the sweet & sour sauce that comes with the spring rolls has crushed peanuts. We had to request some without and the cashier was kind enough to bring it to our table herself. The food was decent, but less flavorful then some other Thai we've had in Nashville. All in all, it was a lot of little things that made this a meh dining experience down to the fact that they don't have any free water cups.

Jessenia R.

Yelp
Really good thai food! Best so far in Nashville. Will be back next time I'm in Nashville!
google avatar

Yelp
I'm literally writing this review as I'm eating: that's how good this place is! After the whole L&L Marketplace renovation to fit the new 2020 perspective, we made our first real visit here to Thai Ni Yom. You have to get here right when it opens or you're gonna be waiting in line. It's pretty popular and there's very limited seating. Can't remember what it's called, but there's glass noodles, egg, cabbage, carrots, broccoli, and baby corn mixed with a meat of your choice (or tofu for the vegetarian/vegan peeps out there). Perfect option for some comfort food and some of the best Thai food I've had.
google avatar

Tessa J.

Yelp
The food is always amazing--super fresh and never too sweet! Super authentic. I've had the pad Thai, pad prig, famous basil chicken, and pad kee mao; all were fantastic. The customer service is also great! The woman who works there remembers my name every time I come in and seems genuinely excited to see me.
google avatar

Gregory B.

Yelp
From a food aspect, I want to give this a solid 5. One of the best Thai places in Nashville. But actually finding the place open is extremely difficult. And I am not just talking about their advertised shut down in the middle of the day. Some days you just show up and find they are closed. On my third trip, I found them open. :D The food is on par with some of the best Thai restaurants I have eaten at throughout the country. The curries are on point, but there are things other than the curries you should look at. Their number one dish is something they call Famous Basil. Wonderful flavor, but I would love to have even more Thai basil in the dish.

Spencer B.

Yelp
Food was wonderful but the rudest staff I've ever witnessed. When I complained the owner came out and confronted me for daring to mention it.

Noah C.

Yelp
Favorite Thai restaurant in Nashville. Never been disappointed when we go here. Always our first choice
google avatar

Shirley C.

Yelp
Yummy Thai dishes! It's a small operation out of L&L Market, so I recommend calling ahead as wait times can be longer than other places. I ordered the fried tofu appetizer and famous basil with beef, adding a fried egg and asking for Thai hot. The fried tofu was nothing special, so I would probably skip it next time, but the flavor of the famous basil was good although it barely registered as spicy. Thankfully, they gave me a little container of chili, so I was able to add enough to make it my desired spiciness level. Portion sizes are on the smaller side, but it's quality food.
google avatar

Amanda M.

Yelp
You guys!... moving from California to Nashville, the worst news I could hear from locals was that the Thai food wasn't the best in the area. BUT THEN we found this place and the Thai food is Delicious!!! They proved those locals wrong, or at least are certainly the diamond in the rough. We will definitely be bringing our friends and family back here to represent talent in Nashville. Thanks for being amazing
google avatar

Dennis A.

Yelp
So to be fair, we're from CA, where there's a number of great Thai places. If you're not from the west coast or at have eaten there, you might not know what you're missing and think "This place is great!". However, for me I'm used to the thicker rice noodles and a little more flavor. This place is eh.... It's probably better than anything we have in Clarksville, so... Sure. However, I will say that the girl working the front needs a lesson in customer service. We asked "Is there someone who clean the table?" Now, hey she COULD have said "There's someone that comes around and buses the tables.. we don't do actually bus them..." But instead she just said "No." Okay you little b*tch. Remember that when you wonder why you didn't get a tip.
google avatar

R.T. D.

Yelp
Obviously a very popular place and the quality of food is very good however my pad thai seems to be missing the vegetables I was hoping to have . I'll give it one more try and request vegetables next time.
google avatar

Yelp
Finally!!!! I've been so disappointed with the Thai restaurants I have tried in Nashville after moving here over a year ago. Some were ok and some where like Panda Express thai. If you like Americanized Thai you will be fine but I'd you want authentic Thai like me, you will be disappointed. Until now. This new offering in west Nashville is exceptional. If I close my eyes the flair and spice is exactly like I'm at my favorite restaurant in Bangkok. Located inside the newly renovated L & L marketplace in Charlottesville like this is more of an upscale food hall type setting. There an honest coffee roasters, a five daughters, Old Patriot brewing, the milkshake bar and a few others Because I'd it's make up you can see the emit or kitchen at Thai Ni Yom. It's immaculate and I could tell right away that the chef was going to knock my socks off. I told him that I can't find authentic Thai food in Nashville. His reply with a serous look on his face was "you will down exactly that right here". He conveyed that message with pride. I watched ad he expertly prepared one of the most famous Thai dishes, basil chicken If you get basil chicken at mist places they used dry sliced Whit meal. True Thai basic chicken is with ground chicken The female who took my order was another tell that this would be exactly what I was looking for. She knew the questions to ask to make sure I would be getting exactly what I wanted. I'd bet the two staff members are owners and family. When you can get those two elements in to your meal, you rarely lose Thank you for the best Thai meal I have had since I was in Thailand in December. You will do well in this new venture and you will see me often. If I could give six stars out of five, I would. As I was leaving I leaned that the two proprietors names are Nikki and Alex. They are both from Thailand and promised they will never take shortcuts. (I had just experienced that). Thank you both.
google avatar

Eric A.

Yelp
Absolutely fantastic. Famous Basil, Pad Kee Mao Both delicious and fresh. Beware - Grubhub/Seamless have them on their app but the restaurant does NOT work with them. Support local businesses and pick up - and avoid GrubHub and their predatory/harassing business practices
google avatar

Lexi F.

Yelp
I've never gotten Pad Thai before, and this was delicious! They have lunch special for their 3 main items (left side of the menu) from Wednesday-Friday until 3pm for $9.95. Employee taking order was quick and to the point which I liked. She also let me know how long it was going to be, so I could walk around while they made my food. I wanted a balanced meal of protein (chicken), noodles, and veggies, so this was a great option. It came out amazing and was very hot and fresh. Right now during COVID they have sitting in the market, so it's self sitting.
google avatar

John T.

Yelp
How such a small place can have such BIG flavors I have no idea. Delicious pad Thai. Always a line but service is fast. A great spot in L AND L MARKET.
google avatar

Tracie P.

Yelp
Thai Ni Yom is a new restaurant in L&L Market in Nashville's West End. I love Thai food, so I was excited to welcome a new local spot. On my first visit, I ordered the drunken noodles (medium) and the vegetable spring rolls. The noodles were tender and the overall dish was delicious. I love spicy food, but be forewarned that the medium heat level here is very hot. If you need your sinuses cleared, this will definitely do the trick! The spring rolls were crisp and had a good sauce for dipping. You can call beforehand or order at the restaurant (online ordering is not available). Thai Ni Yom is takeout only for the time being. There is a small seating area inside, but it is closed during covid-19.
google avatar

Juliet Q.

Yelp
As a native Nashvillian whom was once a Californian transplant (back to Nash now). I don't understand the complaints. Lol the food is clearly delicious. Long time coming for nashville compared to the other locations always being a hit or miss simply put non consistent. I've been here a handful of times now, the food is very good. I understand hours, price, and the wait-time can all be a pain. But I don't think it's worth dropping their stars and discrediting the business. Is that not what the tips/ advice is for? Add the minimal comments/ issues there. Otherwise, I recommend this spot when it comes to Thai!
google avatar

Marlena M.

Yelp
First some tips: this is not a traditional restaurant space but rather an enclosed booth in a sort-of-office/eatery/retail-mall-like-space called "L&L." You enter the main entrance to this space and walk up to order and pick up. I placed an order to go and took it home -- though there are outdoor and indoor tables available socially distanced appropriately. I had: (1) the thai tea ( was gone before my food order came out!). (2) the tom kha gai (coconut chicken) soup - I forgot to ask for them to add some chili flakes - it was good and fresh tasting but a little lacking in "kick," a small squirt of sriracha made it perfect. (3) pad woon sen w/shrimp - unexpectedly generous on the sizable shrimp and plentiful colorful veggies. Service was friendly once they spotted me waiting.
google avatar

Bailey P.

Yelp
A small menu of items familiar to Americans, done really well it seems. We got pad see eiw and the curry of the day (green) plus Thai iced tea. All excellent--noodles not overly sweet and with great flavor from the griddle/pan; curry rich, flavorful, a little spicy and a little sweet (I didn't specify a spice level); tea sweet but not sickly and strong. Took about 30 minutes to get our food when it wasn't busy, which was a perfect amount of time to bop around the market and see what was going on. We'll be back for sure!
google avatar

Rene C.

Yelp
Husband and I stopped in for a quick dinner date. After receiving our food I went back to ask for two cups of water. I was told they DONT HAVE tap water and had to buy a bottle of water. I just spent $30 on food and now I'm being lied to about no tap water. Just tell me you don't want to give me tap water and want me to buy the bottle of water but don't lie about it. Food was ok--Pad Thai was bland but plentiful and the beef with garlic sauce was pretty sparse on the sauce but what sauce there was was very flavorful. Save yourself the trouble and visit the food truck across the street--I'll be doing that next time.

Yelp
my go-to thai food in nashville!! always transparent about the wait time over the phone, which is super helpful! the pad thai is delicious and the fried spring rolls are to die for - the best!!
google avatar

Carol F.

Yelp
Bad food and bad service. Can't get the order right and wants to argue with the customer. Don't waste your time here!
google avatar

Hillary P.

Yelp
I never write Yelp reviews, but this place deserved one. I am a born and raised Nashvillian who spent the last 16 years eating delicious Thai food in NYC. When I moved back in February I was so disappointed by the Thai options in Nashville. Until last night. This place is delicious, authentic, everything I've been craving since moving home. The food was ready for pickup exactly when they said it would be. Can't say enough good things about the Famous Basil with chicken and this spot as a whole. Check it out!!!
google avatar

Chase L.

Yelp
Best and most authentic Thai I've had in Nashville. Love that they actually care about our health, too! Yay masks.

Yelp
I am so happy. After years of living in Thai food deserts, we live a mile from this place. Located inside L& L Market, it's a small restaurant opened after the folks had a successful food truck. We got there within the last hour of service and waited about 15 minutes for a seat at the bar. It was worth it. Not only did they manage to get one last Thai iced tea together for my dining companion, they were charming, unobtrusive, and served us fresh delicious food. They also got my dining companion, newly back from Thailand, a spoon so she could eat the way she did there. They also have the trio of spice & flavor available - chili sauce, fish sauce, and a third pot that had the peppers in a clear liquid. We had the fried vegetarian rolls, which were quite good (we were hungry). The shrimp pad kee mao was quite delicious, with the vegetables cooked and yet still crispy. The shrimp were not overcooked. The basil tofu was great - the tofu were nicely fried, and the sauce was awesome. We will be back!

Jodi M.

Yelp
Our favorite Thai place to eat. We drive about 40 minutes to get here but worth the drive. Only wish it was open earlier.
google avatar

Lilli G.

Yelp
I really enjoyed my visit here! I've tried many many Thai places in Nashville, and this was probably in the top 3. The service was quick and everything felt COVID safe. I got the basil chicken and it was delicious and made for great leftovers. I look forward to trying other dishes here!

Alexander S.

Yelp
Very authentic and excellent suggestion. The noodles and the curry were both very satisfying, and the spring rolls are a must! If you're into beer, get the Singha for that perfect crisp, exotic compliment to your meal. Not the fastest from order to food, but well worth the wait.

Yelp
I'm here from out of town and found this small cute Thai restaurant at L&L Market. I have had pad see ew from different Thai restaurants, but none like this one. The flavor was amazing!! The vegetable fried rice was perfect!! You can tell that the food is made with love. I wish you well!!
