This review is for our wedding that took place on 08/17/24. First things first, do not hesitate to choose The 101. From the very start of taking a tour of the venue with Emily, we knew it was the perfect venue for our special day. We went with the partial planning package, and from day 1, Alison was incredible—constantly checking in, offering guidance, and ensuring every detail was covered. She kept an open line of communication and contacted vendors on our behalf when needed. As our big day was approaching, Alison shared great news with us that caused her to unfortunately miss our wedding. Throughout the process, she reassured us with every step of the way that the transition to our day-of coordinator, Sam, would be seamless. When the big day arrived, Sam took over without missing a beat. She made sure we didn't have to lift a single finger and made it stress-free from the morning through the night. We could not be more appreciative of how well Sam took care of not only us, but our entire group of friends and family as well. The entire team at The 101 was beyond organized, handling everything with care and professionalism. They ensured we, as the bride and groom, had everything we needed at all times, making us feel truly taken care of. Now for the venue itself, it is stunning, versatile, open, and welcoming. The amount of natural lighting that shines through during an August summer made for the perfect photos. One of the biggest highlights and deal-makers for us was how they are dog-friendly, allowing our dog Milo to be our ring bearer and part of our special day. That meant the world to us, and we appreciate how welcoming the staff made Milo feel. If you’re looking for a venue that is beautiful, well-run, professional, and incredibly accommodating, look no further. Alison, Sam, and Emily made our wedding day absolutely perfect. Highly, highly recommended! Thank you again, The 101 team! We are forever grateful.

We held our prom here this year, and considering it was in Pioneer Square, we were pleased with the venue space and affordability! The staff were communicative and helpful through the entire process of booking the space up to the event itself. Emily was a fantastic communicator, and the concierge that helped us during set up and event were lovely and super helpful. The space is very versatile, and we enjoyed the ambience during the night with the natural lighting on one side, and a darker vibe on the other side for dancing. They were also flexible with catering and bringing outside food in, as well as using outside vendors. Given the restrictions so many other venues place on these things, this alone makes this venue a 5-star location! I have zero complaints and will be putting this venue on our rotation for future proms!

The 101 It's hard to put into words just how incredible The 101 was throughout the entire experience. From the very beginning before we even decided, they were the easiest venue to book a tour and communicate our ideas with. We really struggled with other venues being accommodating with our working schedules, and the 101 was so easy to work with. We used their partial planning services and it was worth every penny. Alison helped us bring every dream we had to life, even when we changed our mind or went back and forth. She communicated with our vendors, saw to every detail, was very responsive to our emails, and most importantly, she was incredibly supportive and kind! Every second of the day was accounted for and every decision was made ahead of time. And the actual day of... wow. We knew it would go well because we trusted them, but we had no idea just how amazing they would truly be. Sam and Emily set the place up perfectly. And when things came up throughout the day, they handled everything smoothly. There were so many special details they paid attention to, but what blew me away the most was how they always made sure we were taken care of. When we needed a moment away after the ceremony they made sure we got that. They made sure we were fed (which is so important and often overlooked on your wedding day!) and kept the day flowing according to our plan. We cannot imagine booking with a different venue. The 101 was genuinely happy and excited for us and we appreciate all of the hard work that went into making our special day perfect!

If you're looking for a wedding venue that gives you the freedom of creating your dream wedding, look no further than The 101. My experience with The 101 was a breeze, also thanks to my wedding planners (Hallea Events). Some perks of having your wedding at The 101: - 24 hour rental (10AM - 10 AM). It was important for my husband and I to find a venue that gave us the amount of time for not just the ceremony and reception, but also for our vendors to set up and pick up rentals. - While The 101 does have preferred vendors, they welcome outside vendors (with an additional fee). We love being able to serve food we felt passionate about with our close family and friends. - So many layout possibilities! We ended up having our ceremony at the corner with the windows, then having guests walk over to the opposite side for cocktail hour while our team set up the ceremony area for dinner. The flow felt smooth and seamless. - The 101 does have their own chairs, table and draping if you don't want to worry about having to rent these from an outside vendor. Our guests were impressed with The 101, and loved how there was so much natural lighting (especially when golden hour hit during dinner), the amount of space, and location as it is walking distance to Embassy Suites (where most of our guests stayed at). I'm so grateful The 101 allowed us to have our dream wedding a couple of weeks ago. If I have to host any large events in the future, The 101 would be my top pick.

Very nice salon venue for the wedding I went to in April 2024. So clean and spacious. Loved it! Really like the surroundings. Some family members walked to their hotels. So convenient for out of town guests. The experience at The 101 was awesome! Thank you.

We attended this venue for a Candlelight holiday concert, via Fever. It was an incredible show and the venue is beautiful. The bathrooms are very clean/tidy too. I highly encourage everyone to look at the Fever website/app to see if any other concerts are being held at this location. The music (string quartet) was fabulous, and the ambiance was so relaxing and romantic. Perfect date night!

Visited The 101 for a Candlelight event and it was gorgeous. The venue was spacious to fit rows of people as we enjoyed a stage of 4 people playing anime music in such a beautifully orchestrated ensemble. There were probably a max of 50 people and we were able to sit comfortably and socially distance with all viewers close to the stage. There are parking lots located around the venue and street parking. Within walking distance, there is also a parking garage (near CenturyLink Field) available but they close at 7 pm and the only access in is an apartment key or wait for someone to exit to access in.

Words can't explain how amazing our experience working with the 101 was. Emily (Client Concierge) was legit an angel. She was patient, organized and most importantly kind. As a Covid Bride, planning the wedding was more than stressful and Emily helped me with layout, working with other vendors, timeline and acted as day of coordinator on the wedding day. The 101 is such a beautiful venue that can be anything you want it to be. We had an event of a little over 100 and it was absolutely perfect. The 101 staff does a great job during the event itself and has amazing professional relations with most event vendors - so it's really easy to create an smooth experience. Pick this venue if you are looking for a great experience for your guests, and as equally important, for yourself too! Planning an event is stressful and working with a good venue can impact a lot!

The 101 is one of my favorite venues in Seattle! In the heart of Pioneer Square it's so convenient for your event and I LOVE how the space is so versatile. With the red brick, white brick and huge windows there are so many different backdrops that you can create multiple different vibes and because everything is neutral you can really make it anything you want it to be. Grace and Sara are so great to deal with and everything was just so seamless and easy. Excited to go back for another event in October, if not before!

I'm the co-owner of a local lighting company and absolutely love working at The 101! The venue is beautiful as-is, and it's also really customizable -- a great canvas for your creative vision! Your rental window is long, which gives lots of flexibility for your vendor team to bring your designs to life. We've illuminated many different celebrations here and have always had a wonderful experience, and all our couples and clients have been super happy! This venue is awesome! I would recommend getting married here if it's an intimate wedding. It's not this HUGE space but it's just perfect and cozy for less than 100 people in my opinion. You are right in downtown Seattle so getting those city portraits are just perfect! Loved this place!

I got married on December 18th to the love of my life, and The 101 was instrumental in helping us make that happen. The staff at The 101 was incredibly helpful in planning and putting together our wedding, and I have no doubt in my mind that without them, it might not have been the best night of my life. I coordinated a holiday party for 200 guests this December at The 101 and the space was fantastic!! We had plenty of room for our sit down dinner, two bars, photobooth, lounge area and dance floor. The rental block of time is beyond what most venues provide and we were able to use their rentals items at no additional cost. I would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to host a fun party in downtown Seattle, it is a great space!!

The design is a bit awkward with the beams down the center of the space. Its probably better for smaller events, especially if you're planning a sit-down dinner but keep in mind the lay out for your actual ceremony so you don't leave guests standing (unless you don't care) because of the could-be awkward layout. You just run the risk of unbalanced/uncentered seating if you're setting it up around the beams...up to you! We kept the floor plan balanced for the ceremony but left some guests to stand. In turn, we opted for tables/chairs out for our heavy appetizer reception but there was not enough seating for everyone at any one time and while they sold me on that at the time, I wish I would have gone with a larger venue all together so our guests COULD have sat down ANY time! We had to return the next morning for clean up... Parking sucks on weekends downtown so keep that in mind. Our coordinators Gordon and Lauren were accommodating and helpful but I'm pretty sure Gordon was drinking during our event. Maybe my father in law offered it but it seems like you'd want to keep a pretty clear head - especially if something happened?! I don't know. I guess I was just sold on what I wanted to hear in the moment of booking but I would have done thing differently knowing how it turned out!

For those planning to potentially have a wedding during the uncertain Corona season, you are best to look elsewhere than here. The 101 cancelled our date and asked us to reschedule, but would not offer us ANY of our money back, unlike 2 other venues in the area (a golf club in Edmonds, WA for example). They did not hold up to their end of the bargain, and were completely inflexible despite attempts to work with them. Even anything back would have helped us during these trying times, but needless to say they had 0 sympathy. If for whatever reason you're planning a wedding ceremony/reception, look elsewhere, as the refund policy here will NOT help you if any difficulties arise. Stay safe and choose a venue that is willing to prioritize you and your special day, because the 101 did not for us and we paid the price for it.

Recently we hosted a networking group meeting at The 101 and we had a 5 out of 5 stars experience! We worked with Grace and from start to finish she was pleasant, welcoming, responsive, and super professional. During our meeting she and her counterpart were great hosts and went above and beyond to help all our guests feel welcomed. Besides the friendliness of the staff, the venue it's self can hold it's on. The open space leaves so much room for creative expression. As a florist myself I was excited to see the exposed brick in one area, white wall in another, and big floor to ceiling windows in another! Lastly, they have a preferred vendor list of talented and reliable professionals who can meet all you wedding or special event needs. We recommend The 101 to anyone looking for the perfect venue for their intimate wedding or event!
