Google
What a fascinating, educational, delicious adventure into aviation and history! As a restaurant - the service and food were great for our table of 20+! Friendly and speedy and oh so tasty! Very few plates left with food on them. We ate it all. Now, the atmosphere - incredible! The decor, the historical images, and of course, the location... on an active airfield. This place has it all for history/war/aviation enthusiasts! I'm definitely coming back and telling others about it!

Google
We celebrated a birthday with a group of 14 on 4/11. Reservation was very easy and the staff accommodated our group with enough table space and elbow room for everyone to be comfortable. Our food was fantastic. Appetizers: Crab, Spinach Dip & Pita with Hummus. Entrees were Vegetable Pasta, Georgia Trout and Salmon Souffle. We will return for a more intimate dinner at a later time or possibly brunch one weekend.

Google
Wow! Love the vibe and the whole environment. And the food, all amazing. Most all ingredients are fresh and of high quality. Overall though, 5 star experience. The chili was excellent flavor profile. The prime rib sandwich absolutely amazing and they did it perfect as a lettuce wrap. And the salad, oh it is a beautiful salad too. I can go on for a long review about this place, but instead, just come by and see and try this place for yourself. Me and the donkey loved it! 5 tail wags. 5 stars.

Google
The restaurant is expensive, but worth it!!! Check out the menu before you go. It does not have a lot of items for picky eaters. The food was great. The broccoli was amazing!! There's a small dance floor. The atmosphere is great as well. I had the crab/artichoke dip and the shrimp and grits. Both were spicy. If you have ADHD like me, it is very hard to hear in there or stay focused on one amazing thing before another amazing thing starts to happen again. Loudness only because of the echos, not the planes. The kid menu is actually good!

Google
Really unique restaurant, sits on a small air field where small planes and jets are constantly coming and going. Motif of the restaurant/bar is WWII, very cool homey place.

Jason Caponi

Google
Unique restaurant with World War II themed atmosphere. You enter through a sandbag bunker to find real fireplaces and an authentic bunker feeling throughout. On top of the unique atmosphere the food was great. We ordered everything from Burgers to New York strip, and everything came out perfect. Fun atmosphere for the kids as well with direct view of the runway and active taxiways. Definitely a recommended dinner spot if you find yourself anywhere near PDK Airport.

Nick Mattera

Google
Situated next to the PDK airport, the atmosphere is the whole scene here. You can sit inside or outside and have a great view of aircraft take-offs and landings. Good food in a casual bar type menu

Lori F

Google
So Still fun to sit outside watch the private jets take off. Enjoyed great service and lunch at the bar with Nikki.

Lori F.

Yelp
What a unique establishment! It totally deserves 5 stars. We sat outside watching the cool Cessnas and private jets take off. I saw lots of families enjoying the outside seating with space for little ones to roam. Love the World War II images and theme inside reminding us of our freedom and may we never forget how our men fought for this country. Full bar available and we tried the fish sandwich w brussel sprouts and the 57th sandwich w Mac n chez for lunch. Came out nice and hot! Ended up joining more friends inside at the bar area and thoroughly enjoyed the DJ jams on a Sat eve. The dance floor got pretty full as the night went on. So fun!

Yelp
This is a great place for family's and good friends to spend a good dinner. This place is very special. It over looks the DeKalb Airport where you could watch small planes land and takeoff. The ambiance is covered with WWI and WWII memorabilia; even the bathroom plays military radio recordings. However, the food is fabulous. The bunker salad is everyone's favorite. Plenty of appetizers to share. The rib Eye is cooked the way I want it, and the trout is something different to try. There is also a another section where you could get a lighter side such us burgers and sandwiches On Fridays and Saturdays, the dance floor is open until midnight. This place is have ample parking and well lit parking lot. The service is always spectacular. Our server is attentive, personable, professional. He was quick to bring our orders even with 16-guests. In the bar area, the bartenders are attentive and quick to offer suggestions. We've celebrated Birthday Parties and special events at this place. You need to try and dance the night away

Draft M.

Yelp
Food and service, as well as atmosphere were spot on for a solid, casual get together. Can recommend without hesitation. Getvit!

Yelp
57th Fighter has been here for what seems like forever. Nestled next to Peachtree Dekalb Airport, you need to know where you're going, especially at night to find the turn. Proceed down the dimly lit drive and there it is, lurking in the woods. When you enter, it's like you have entered a bunker from a war movie. The thematic elements are certainly intriguing! I understand many folks sit out back, where you can watch planes takeoff and land. Fascinating! We attended the trivia night which was fun even though we fared poorly. The food is fine. I had the beer cheese soup and the spinach salad. The soup was good and hearty. The salad was nice and fresh. A fun experience.

Donna M. S.

Yelp
Service and ambiance was wonderful but the food was sub standard. Price was also higher than it should have been. No bread / rolls for dinner, just ok.

Kurt O.

Yelp
Great spot for dancing to 80's -90's music. Big dance floor, no cover, two bars and good food.

Jessica G.

Yelp
Came here on a beautiful spring Saturday to sit outside and watch airplanes. Was busy and first come first serve but the wonderful staff helped me eyeball a table leaving to get my family seated. Food and service was a bit slow--but it was very busy and when they did get to the table they were very attentive and helpful. Food was good enough. Outdoor space is awesome -especially if you have kids and they can run around and you can enjoy your meal without entertaining them. Hot tip - go to bar to order drinks instead of wait for your waiter. Would def come back the experience overall is worth the wait just make sure you aren't here in a rush to leave.

John L.

Yelp
Really awesome theming and vibe. Menu had good selection and some cool cocktails but the food was not fresh nor great, but presentation was good. Service was a bit slow.had the corn beef sandwich with fries (great).

Kirk B.

Yelp
Wife and I were guests of my high school alumni team at a lunch for graduates of 50+ years ago. I ordered the "black and blue" salad, which is a (flank?) steak on top of a cobb salad with blue cheese. Unfortunately the steak was very tough, even though I ordered it rare. Wife just had the beer cheese soup, which she found too salty. We swapped plates so that she finished the salad, I had a bit of soup (very rich), and the steak came home for our dog to finish. Desert was a key lime pie, which was just OK.

May B.

Yelp
We came here on Friday afternoon to experienced a great view of the excutive airport runway and unfortunately , it was a highly dissapointing experienced. The service was poor with unfreindly staff who seemed disinterested in attending our needs. Despite the overly prices the57th sandwich and truffle fries arrived cold and lacked of flavor.

Karen R.

Yelp
Hadn't been in over 10 years. We used to go a bunch as young corporate types back in the late 80s & early 90s. A couple times for big events out back, watching planes fly. Looks like they got very serious as a steak place. We were in the bar area to celebrate a birthday & dance. Different menu. In a hurry? Order burgers & fries. Salads are good. If you add chicken, nice grilled thin chicken breast sliced. Looks like 6 good size shrimp... Might be in the shell... Double check before ordering. Catfish is a good deal. Three nice duze pieces. Hush puppies are just breading, but moist and good flavored. Looking for the hungry man deal? The pot roast sandwich is huge. Hard to eat because of the au jus. Get a side of the very cheesy mac & cheese. Yum. Drinks are pricy but strong.

Matthew D.

Yelp
Love going to WW2 themed 57th fighter group. Their food is always delicious and the vibe is right. They have a massive indoor dinner area, a bar area, and an awesome patio. The patio is my favorite place to sit to take in the fresh air and watch the planes along the runway. The restaurant is right next to PDK so you get some pretty cool views. If you don't want to sit on the patio the indoor dining area has large windows to see through. Their menu is pretty simple but all the food is very tasty. The best part is their sides are a hefty portion. My favorite Sammy is the pot roast Sammy. If you haven't been you should totally go check it out. Even if you're just looking for somewhere relaxing to get a drink and hang out with friends.

Dan B.

Yelp
We are new to GA and was invited to the 57th Fighter Group to celebrate a birthday. The food was mediocre and overpriced. The service was good being that we had a party of 15 plus. One thing that was very upsetting is that because we split the checks they added a service / tip charge of 24%! Ambiance was very nice and the dancing was nice. Dan

Yelp
This airplane themed restaurant located in the Atlanta area offers great views of the executive airport runway. It's fun seeing the aircraft takeoff. The place is old fashioned and probably needs a good renovation but they have both indoor and outdoor seating and also a bar area with a large dance floor. I had the Impossible Burger with the Bunker side salad $16. I thought a great price for good food at a novelty place. The only complaint is the bun was not fresh. Overall, it was a fun outing with our family.

Cousin D.

Yelp
Very interesting place. You can sit and have dinner while watching the private jets go by. Food is decent buts it's not a 5 star place so it's what you should expect.

David L.

Yelp
We had dinner at the 57th Fighter Group Restaurant on a Friday night with two little kids and it was a real treat! This place is themed very well and almost gave me Disney World vibes. The coolest part is how the planes land directly in front of the windows and outdoor seating. For dinner, the kids got pasta and we got the hangar steak *no pun intended? or was it?). It was not *amazing* food but definitely better than what I was expecting for this type of place. A highlight was the Cheese Grits, which were some of the best I have had in a long time. The best part of our meal was a biplane that landed and parked right out front of the restaurant. The kids absolutely loved this. It was right in front of our table and the walk outside to see it up close was quick. Stop by this place if you have kids, or later in the evening of you are looking for a bar with a dance floor.

Kimberly M.

Yelp
Sunday brunch... we wanted something local, and have driven past this place a couple times. Their website gave a great description of their menu and their restaurant. You step back in time to 1940's and there is war memorabilia everywhere...vehicles, planes, pictures and posters. And they are right next to the airport, the active runway is the best view while you're here. Everything on the brunch was great.. omelet station, carving station, WAFFLES.... Mic drop. Nice selection of lunch items and breakfast faves. Open for lunch and dinner during the week, the dining room is upscale with a more casual lounge and roomy dance floor for Friday and Saturday night music. Come check it out.. #supportlocal

Yelp
Typical bar food but they do have a full bar and just felt out of place , was very members only type feel for a public restaurant , never get completely comfortable . Staff cool but that's my only standpoint . ‍ Will try again fork can have a better viewpoint about this spot but this is my truth for now .

Erika W.

Yelp
The restaurant is welcoming and the staff is very nice. The food was descent but nothing memorable . Members of our party didn't have their order come out. The waiter was super apologetic and tried to make up.

Shani H.

Yelp
Nice old school spot in Chamblee. They play old school music on weekends and its great because people actually make good use of the dance floor. Its nextdoor to a small airport so if you sit outside you can watch planes landing. The drinks are strong and affordable, and the food is good.

Shanna B.

Yelp
Went for Sunday brunch, everything was cold on the table. No, the price is hithai and the food is low will not be back.

Chelsea G.

Yelp
This restaurant holds a unique experience with ambiance & atmosphere. Things you should know: I. LOCATION By the DeKalb Peachtree Airport. What's cool about this location is you can watch the private jets land and take off as you eat. There is a private parking lot, which makes parking stress-free. II. QUALITY The esthetics were very interesting in capturing the restaurant as if it were a WWII Bunker--really cool concept. You're mainly eating here for the atmosphere and not so much for the food. I'd give the food a mediocre 3 stars but the ambiance a 5.. balancing to a 4 star overall rating. III. SERVICE Very accommodating. No complaints. IV. CAPACITY Relatively busy for a Thursday lunch, but we were seated right away.

Craig T.

Yelp
I finally got to try this iconic restaurant next to the Peachtree Dekalb Airport. I love the décor when driving in as there are World War 2 vehicles that make it feel like your traveling back in time. There is plenty of parking spaces in front of the restaurant. There is a bunch of picture taking opportunities in front of the restaurant while walking inside. The waitress staff was friendly and attentive. I believe they have police security on the weekends to prevent car break ins in the parking lot which is a big plus!! I ordered the spinach & artichoke dip + chips as my appetizer. It was super delicious. For my entrée, I ordered the New York Strip with corn along with some French fries. The steak juicy and well flavored. I definitely loved it. Waiter service was excellent and very fast. I highly recommend this spot here your in the area and love WW2 stuff.

Derryck M.

Yelp
Super fun place, especially if you like military memorabilia. Fairly basic menu, but very tasty food in large portions, and at decent prices.

Jennifer D.

Yelp
Enjoyed brunch with friends here recently. We liked the WWII motif and the cozy atmosphere inside. There were numerous good options for breakfast or lunch tastes, and I was very satisfied with my Eggs Benedict. Sneaking a bite of my husband's macaroni & cheese made me wish to have a dish of my own! Our table was served by Johnette (hoping I didn't misspell her name), and she rocked! Apparently she worked there late the night before, but she was friendly, energetic and caring toward each of us as guests. Additionally, we had a pleasant view of thr inbound/outbound aircraft. Would like to come back soon. One recommendation could be to include some gluten-free/gluten-friendly dishes/options.

Jonathan O.

Yelp
Was there with a big group on a Thursday night. This was my first time here. Very cool atmosphere and very cool how close it is to PDK. Fun night playing music bingo. Food was really good. Our server was good. Came back a bunch to check on us and to see if we needed anything. The restaurant was very accommodating to our group size. I ordered the salmon soufflé. Very tasty. My one and only complaint about the meal was the size. I wish it came with some sort of side. Will definitely be back!

William O.

Yelp
The worst restaurant we went for thanksgiving a party of six charged over 400.00 the worst buffet I have ever gone to food was not even edible. Out of six people no one enjoyed any part of the meal. Sad to say but Golden Corral is better than this place. Turkey was horrible along with the prime rib not even cooked you have been warned to stay away from this establishment. I wish I would have checked there health inspection prior to making reservation now I know why it is so low this place should be closed down.

Ben T.

Yelp
The 57th Fighter Group Restaurant is a gem for the area and one that I feel is underrated. Being a longtime resident I found it surprising to just be learning of this unique experience as they have been doing business for about 30 years. Located on the tarmac of Peachtree Dekalb Airport is the schtick and something Im not normally attracted to as most restaurants with something to distract from the food usually results in poor quality. Many beautiful "water view" restaurants come to mind. BUT the environment is so much fun here that I am becoming a fan. The food is ok. We tried the burger, fried shrimp and crab dip. Its nothing that is going to over impress but thats not the point. We came and sat outside on the patio on a lovely first day of fall. If you have kids they go bizerk seeing the planes and people watching other parents relying on this entertainment for them looked rewarding. The air traffic is just plain fun and I highly recommend having a flight control app open to discuss the destinations and arrivals. This adds an element to a meal and the inevitable question to everyone , "Can I afford a plane?" And after a beer fueled google search the depressing answer was definitely not. My favorite element though is the building itself. It feels like being inside a WWII bunker. You really could get lost inside with many areas to explore and is comfortably far from open concept that it feels cozy and also bomb proof. The back corner bar opens to the outside space which is really where you want to be on a Friday afternoon just don't drink and fly as they say. Oh and they have a dance floor. How can you not have a good time here?

Gerald E.

Yelp
Sit outside on nice days. You would never guess how many planes come and go during a visit for dinner or lunch. Atlanta has busy plane traffic, even at this private location which is mainly used for private jets and helicopters. The food is good and so is the ambience. It's designed like an old bunker/bomb shelter. There is a dance floor, indoor dining, some video games and memorabilia inside. I've only eaten inside once, but outside is where it's at. Service is a bit slow on busy days but it's worth it.

Jonathan H.

Yelp
Love the Beer Cheese Soup. Wife and I go for Tuesday Trivia. It is a fun atmosphere and from the patio you can watch the planes taking off and landing at Peachtree Dekalb Airport. The service is solid. Come early it gets crowded.

Jodi C.

Yelp
My mom, my daughter and I lunch there this week... hadn't been back in 4 years because our last visit was so lackluster/COVID. I was so pleasantly surprised at the improvements!! New, nice patio furniture and much, much better food! I had the Ginger Soy Salmon ( was told it's sushi grade) and it was absolutely phenomenal. We will be back soon!

Michael M.

Yelp
This place is insanely cool, the military ambiance is the real deal. Our Server Lizbeth was so sweet and very service oriented. Food was good not spectacular. We sat by one of the windows and watched the planes land, pretty's cool. If I can suggest one thing, put out a list of spirits you carry by type or make sure the staff is aware of your spirit selection so they can up sell from your signature Cocktail List. We will be back!

Thomas B.

Yelp
Super cool place with an amazing view at PDK airport. WWII themed that literally sits beside the taxiway at PDK. Sit outside and watch the planes on a nice day! Food is good. The brunch on Sundays is phenomenal! Service is usually decent but like most places can be hit or miss. Great place to come in Atlanta!

Hillary B.

Yelp
The cool factor here is seeing the planes takeoff and land. Some may also get a kick out of the photos and memorabilia. The buffet is average at best.

Brenda J.

Yelp
Fun place to eat. I got the salmon soufflé and Caesar salad. It was good, but the salmon soufflé was missing the sauce. Would have been much better had the sauce been added.

Patrick C.

Yelp
Just now had another great visit. Had a sandwich with a bunker side salad. The food was excellent and the service was perfect. I love you come here. Great food, great service, and you get to watch the planes take off and land. I come here twice a month, at least.

Ravi B.

Yelp
I love taking my friends here! They're so spacious and its so awesome to get to see the airplanes from the airport. I have sat both inside and outside before and both are great. They have a lot of windows, so if you sit inside, you can still see all the awesomeness outside. My servers have always been fun and kind. Years ago they use to have a trivia night and that was fun. I wonder if they still do this today and/or if they'll start it back up again one day. There's a lot of awesome museum-like decor and it is just a historical feeling place. I heard they have an awesome brunch so i'm excited to try their brunch one day!

Debbie G.

Yelp
Have been to 57 Fighter Group quite a few times prior to COVID... never disappointed.. Took visitors from California today for lunch as she special requested we go. We took her there about a year and a half ago and she loved it! So of course took her there again and what a disappointment! Trash from apparent beer delivery on the front lawn by the front door, and gardens looked unattended. We were told by the receptionist we were to be seated near the bar/dance floor. Dark and unwelcoming. Decided to sit outside instead. A couple of sprinkle drops fell and decided we could sit in the gazebo. Waitress, long blonde pony tail told us she would not serve us if weather was rainy. Again, a couple light sprinkle drops came at the time. Had she been nice about telling us she would not serve us, we may have understood, but she was so rude and apparently annoyed and bossy..maybe offer us a nice "indoor" table, but no, just abrupt and rude. Restaurant appearance was embarrassing and shockingly in dirty and neglected. WILL NOT BE BACK!!

A. J.

Yelp
I like the view and the atmosphere. The food was ok. The menu is a bit limited but my family enjoyed their food. Oh and the boiled peanuts are not Cajun boiled peanuts

Gena M.

Yelp
Great Sunday Brunch! The food was amazing and the views of planes taking off and landing made for a beautiful afternoon.

Mick D.

Yelp
This place is an Atlanta fixture for a reason. Actually maybe three of four reasons. But the important part is that it's a fixture. The place is fun, the service is always good, the food is excellent, and being able to do a little plane-watching at PDK is a nice bonus. I've been visiting 57th Fighter group for many years. You can count on them to help you and your guests have a good time. A lot of people are going to tell you about the WWII era decor. You certainly can play pretend that you're in a bunker, or having a cuppa in a cafe somewhere in war-torn Europe. But after a minute, you'll realize that the shelling has stopped, and that people want to serve you and actually help you eat and drink and be merry in this little refuge. I have friends who love this place for the dancing. I've not yet witnessed these shenanigans, but they seem to have a very good time. I love this place for their weekend brunch, and their fantastic lunches. I think it's weird that after all these many years, I've never visited 57th Fighter group just to have dinner. I've been there for lunches/brunches and meetings. Yes, meetings. They have a few side rooms that are available for meetings or cocktail gatherings and the like. Meeting a friend here for a lunch outside on the patio is always a pleasant experience. The food is excellent, as is the service. You may even find yourself laughing and on a first-name basis with your server(s) by the time you're done. My favorite things on the lunch menu? I love the catfish and the chicken sandwich. Hands-down crowd-pleasers. You won't be disappointed. And the weekend buffet thing has no shortage of everything from a carving station, to some seafood selections, salads, crackers & cheese, fresh fruits and dessert and a ton of other things that you need to go discover for yourself. Maybe it will soon be time to head there for an actual dinner. Holler if you're coming with.

Tiffany C.

Yelp
I'm so sad. We moved to Atlanta 11 years ago and we loved this place. Brunch buffet is gone, ordered off the menu which was underwhelming. All the food was lukewarm/cold. I ordered the smoked salmon flatbread thinking I would be getting their delicious smoked salmon they used to have on the buffet. NOT GOOD. I got some bland mushy poorly cooked salmon in a pita bread, I took one bite and said, nope. I really hope it goes back to the way it was originally but I'm almost scared to come back again.

Mark B.

Yelp
We had our holiday team luncheon at 57th Fighter Group Restaurant yesterday. There were 14 of us in total. I was really looking forward to dining at this establishment again until I was greeted at the front entrance at 11am by an offensive man who ended up being our waiter! Instead of welcoming me to the restaurant I was greeted by "Let me guess, you're with (the organization I work for). I said Yes. Then he said "I guess you all still want to sit outside.". I said yes. He sighed loudly. When we got to the door to head outside, he said "I guess you will all probably want separate checks too!". I said probably, but wasn't sure. Once we got outside I helped him set up the tables and chairs. Once everyone arrived he loudly announced "If you all want separate checks, that doesn't happen quickly and you shouldn't need to leave early. He then suggested we put everything on one bill and have someone pay for it and work out the reimbursement. Then he said that nobody could change seats once the food is ordered because he wasn't going to chase people down." No welcome greeting at all! As he took our orders, he made jokes and awkward exchanges. Everyone felt on edge because of how he was conducting himself. My positive comments are: The food was good and the orders were taken accurately. (earned 2 stars) Why would you have someone in this line of work represent your restaurant in such an negative and unprofessional manner? I have been a patron of this establishment for years and have never experienced such poor service. In reading the comments, I believe we probably were served by the waiter / bar tender referenced for wearing an offensive shirt, etc. I will find it very difficult to recommend this place again for a group gathering. The level of awkwardness, bad attitude, and unprofessionalism is something I won't forget anytime soon. He also added 25% gratuity to everyone's check!!! I regret that I didn't catch his name. I don't even remember him saying it. Please improve this situation before you lose more business. 57th Fighter Group is normally an enjoyable place to visit.

Dia D.

Yelp
They have a large outdoor patio with a section for people with dogs (but not kids). We went here on a beautiful day to have an outdoor lunch with our dog. We had the Bunker Salad and a burger. The salad was good, but fairly average. The burger and fries were very tasty. Service was friendly, but not super fast if you are on a work lunch break. All of the employees were masked and did a good job of keeping distance.

Connie W.

Yelp
I've been to 57th at least two dozen times or more and my last visit was unacceptable. 'So much so that I may never go back! The food was good and usually is, but the servers and the management had such an attitude! They seemed annoyed that we were even there. The manager (I think)... guy with a mullet, was rude several times. Sadly, it felt like everyone was overworked and run down, but, there were MAYBE six tables filled in the entire restaurant. Our server never asked if I wanted another glass of wine, pointed out that my niece was too old for a kids meal (she's 10) and the person training threw his hands up several times as if he was overwhelmed! The place was basically empty! I have a group of friends that meet there almost every Sunday during the spring and summer and I'm going to find a new place for us to spend our money. Typically, the servers are great, the bartender (I forget his name -- it's either Gabriel or his son is Gabriel) is great and we love sitting on the patio, but if there's been a change in management or ownership, I can't recommend 57th Fighter Group again.

Valerie N.

Yelp
I've been going to 57th off and on for the past 15 years and have had a variety of experiences with food and fun. I've had many nights out dancing it up on their dance floor pre-COVID and sitting out under the stars on their expansive back patio. Post-COVID, I've really enjoyed sitting outside for lunch, with a glass of something fun in hand while enjoying the sunshine in our abnormally warm fall. I don't know why but every time I sit out there, it makes me feel like I'm at the beach, maybe because of the open air and big sky above. My favorite thing on the menu is their fried catfish at lunch. Its a gigantic portion (2 large filets!) of perfectly fried fish. The batter is light and crunchy and somehow not greasy at all. Its the perfect batter to fish ratio and is so nice and light to eat outside in the sunshine. I adore the hushpuppies that come with it. Are they the best hushpuppies I've ever had? Nope! But they hit the spot and are especially delicious with the jalapeno dip that comes with. I recommend pairing this with the strawberry salad that is so fresh and delicious and a glass of the Eventide Kolsch. I often forget about 57th but truly, they've been a delicious lunch spot to get outside and feel like I've gotten away from a pandemic for a minute. You can walk around the side of the building to be seated outside if you prefer to skip going inside buildings. Servers all wear masks and patrons wear masks when not at their table. The back patio tables are very spread out and there is at least one under a gazebo.

Yelp
Wonderful hostess set us up in a table with a view of the runway next door. Great food and great service! Happy New Year!

Yelp
Have you ever gone to #brunch and walked up and was excited. The venue was very different and looked very cute. I love venues that have a different esthetic and give you a bit of history. You even get excited because it doesn't take you long to sit down. On a Sunday afternoon not having to wait for a table in Atlanta that is amazing. But that is literally we're the great things ended. A few weeks ago we came to #57FighterGroupResturant for brunch. Other members of our party had before when it wasn't brunch and had a great experience so we were hopeful. The brunch was buffet only which wasn't an issue at first, unfortunately almost everything on the buffet line was COLD! The items that were supposed to be hot like the meat, the grits and the potatoes were all cold. The items that were supposed to be cold were Luke warm. To the point where we literally had to ask the staff to speak with someone about checking the temperature on all of the foods. The only thing that was good and hot was the omelette and that is because those were made to order. The service was lackluster because we were a large table we were put in the back with another table and were forgotten about. We had to go find our own condiments for the items we didn't try and eat. I can't say that I would be flying back to #57thFighterRestaurant. It would for sure have to be on a non brunch day. To pay a flat rate for cold food that didn't taste good is not something I would ever do again. Needless to say it was a crash landing for brunch that day!!

Yelp
We've been wanting to visit the 57th Fighter Group restaurant and let's just say we can check it off our bucket list. My husband and I both ordered the special, salmon with crabmeat topping in a beurre blanc sauce . The service was excellent but the food wasn't worth the price. We enjoyed watching the planes and the theme of the restaurant is unique but the interior definitely needs some updating. The waiter mentioned that there was a new chef and the menu was being updated, maybe we would have a different experience if we'd waited to visit? Hopefully yours will be better.

Yelp
Haven't been here in many years. Still the same. Still fun. And good food. As you pass through the sandbag lined bunker you go back in time. Past the unfinished portrait of FDR ( if you've never visited Warm Springs, go there ). Try to sit by the windows or on the patio to watch the planes take off and land at PDK. I had a lunch spinach salad. Excellent. Wife had a burger. Order it more rare than you normally do. She asked for medium and it was closer to well done. She still liked it. They have a full bar at reasonable prices, so we took advantage of it . We will not wait so long to return.
